  • When the driver suddenly depresses the brake pedal under critical conditions, the desired trajectory of the vehicle can be changed. In this study, the vehicle dynamics and fuzzy logic controller are used to control the vehicle trajectory. The dynamic vehicle model consists of the engine, the rotational wheel, chassis, tires and brakes. The engine model is derived from the engine experimental data. The engine torque makes the wheel rotate and generates the angular velocity and acceleration of the wheel. The dynamic equation of the vehicle model is derived from the top-view vehicle model using Newton's second law. The Pacejka tire model formulated from the experimental data is used. The fuzzy logic controller is developed to compensate for the trajectory error of the vehicle. This fuzzy logic controller individually acts on the front right, front left, rear right and rear left brakes and regulates each brake torque. The fuzzy logic controlling each brake works to compensate for the trajectory error on the split - $\mu$ road conditions follows the desired trajectory.

  • Described in this paper is the result of a study on collision analysis of TGV-K using 1-dimensional model for crashworthy design. Crashworthy design of the front end is very important because majority of the impact energy (more than 70%) is absorbed by the crush of the front end when the train is collided with an obstacle like a tank lorry. Guideline for the crashworthy design can be described from the collision analysis of the whole train using a 1-dimensional model. Since the headstock of TGV-K is not designed in a crashworthy point of view, a conceptual design of the headstock to improve crashworthiness is suggested and evaluated using 1-dimensional collision analysis. The suggested design, which adopts an energy absorber and a crashworthy headstock, shows a good behaviour on the accident scenario of SNCF (collision at 110 km/h against a movable rigid mass of 15 ton).

  • Because a driver is located in the front end of KHST, he is most likely to be insured at collision accidents. So, it is very important to design some survival space for the driver. To evaluate the driver's safety of KHST (Korean High Speed Train), the front structure of power car is analysed using PAMCRASH under the SNCF accident scenario(collision against a movable rigid mass 15 ton at 110㎞/h). Because the driver's cab of KHST is a modified version of TGV-K, which is not so strong as to protect him, it turns out to be inadequate to guarantee his survival space. Therefore it is recommended to redesign the driver's cab in a crashworthy point of view like the case of TGV-Duplex or NEC.

  • The Great Wall is an element in University which stand outs as a landmark. The Great Wall is located in front of the grand staircases of the gymnasium in the main gate area. Falling water and Lights shows a spectacle panorama in various point of view. Water falls down the top of the grand staircases and the front walls. And the red, blue and green lights brighten the falling water in the evenings. Also the relief of the palm tree and turtle symbolizes the University Identity. The wall is comprehends not only the day and the night but four seasons. The Water, Lights, and the Relief are coordinates well along with the new building in campus.

  • This study has been done to know concretely the designs of traditional American houses in eighteen century and their specific styles based on Deerfiled town and I found out followings. First, the traditional eighteen century houses in Deerfied had a 'L'shape exterior view and a flat facade and the front door made a symmetry with sash windows. A chimney had been installed in the middle of the roof and it usually had a gable with natural materials in a simple manner. Secondly, the most important factor to design houses was a front door and it had been decorated in luxury and in a display. Lastly, the traditional American houses in eighteen century had been greatly influenced not by the that of British which is commonly taken but by the various cultural backgrounds which represented regional characteristics and was rather simple.

  • A tangible floating display that can provide different perspective views without special glasses being introduced. The proposed system can display perspective floating images in the space in front of the system with the help of concave mirrors. In order to avoid wearing special equipment to interact and deliver the sense of touch, the proposed system adopted an ultrasound focusing technology. For providing an immersive experience to the viewers, the proposed system consists of a tangible floating display system and a multiple-view imaging system for generating three lenticular displays in front of the users.

  • Cochlear implant poses a contraindication to the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) process, because MRI generates artifacts, inducing an electrical current and causing device magnetization. CT is relatively expensive and the metal electrodes scatter the image. Post-implantation radiological studies using anterior-posterior transorbital, submental-vertex and lateral views, the intracochlear electrodes are not well displayed. Therefore, the authors developed a special view, which we call the cochlear view. The patient is sitting in front of a vertical device. Then the midsagittal plane is adjusted to form an angle of $15^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}$, and $45^{\circ}$ with the film. The flexion of the neck is adjusted to make the infraorbitomeatal line(IOML) is parallel with the transverse axis of the film. The central ray is directed to exit from the skull at point which is 3.0 cm anterior and 2.0 cm superior to the EAM(external auditory meatus). Results have shown that single radiography of the cochlear view provides sufficient information to demonstrate the position of the electrodes array and the depth of insertion in cochlear. Radiography of the cochlear view in angle of $45^{\circ}$ is an excellent image. The cochlear view gives the greatest amount of medical information with the least radiation and lowest medical cost. It can be widely used in all cochlear implant clinics.

  • This study was done to provide basic data for clothing design and thus to contribute to the academic development of the clothing and textile area. The focus of this study was to characterize the somatotype based on each individual's lateral view. For this purpose, firstly, categorization of the subjects based on their lateral view and definition of each category, secondly, characterization of each somatotype, and thirdly, suggestion of the deterministic criteria of each category were complished. The subjects in this study were female college students of 18 to 26 year-old whose somatotypes were comparatively invariable after cessation of physical growth. The metrical items characterizing upper body lateral view were chosen. Data were collected through Anthropometry and Photometry and analyzed by Factor analysis. The results were as follows; 1. Each subject's side view contour was classified as straight type, lean-back type, bendforward type, and swayback according to its position to the relative plumb line. Straight type was defined as the type in which the plumb line passes through the lobe of the ear, the shoulder joint, and the mid abdominal region laterally. Lean-back type positioned the plumb line more posteriorly than straight type. Bend-forward type positioned the plumb line more anteriorly than straight type. Swayback positioned the plumb line at about the same line as straight type. And curvature of side view contur was more prominent in this type than in straight type. 2. Seven factors were figured out. The first factor was representing upperbody volume, and the second factor was representing size, the third factor was horizontal distance from lateral view representing size view contour. The fourth factor was front body length, the fifth factor was back body length. The sixth factor was shoulder length and shoulder width representing shoulder shape. The seventh factor was the bust shape.

  • Currently, car black box, and CCTV products, such as image processing are prevalent on the market giving convenience to users. In particular, the black box of the driver driving a vehicle accident that occurred at the time to help identify the cause of the accident is gaining. Black box, the front or rear of the vehicle can check the image only. Because of the angle of view of the driver's vision or the black box can not determine a non-scene. In order to solve this problem by a more advanced system, the black box AVM (Around-View Monitoring) systems have been developed. AVM system to the vehicle's top-view images obtained before and after, left and right of the image, ie, $360^{\circ}$ image of the vehicle can be secured. AVM system must be installed on the vehicle, a desktop that you can acquire images Cling conditions. In this paper, we propose an Android-based tablet using the AVM system of the vehicle can achieve a $360^{\circ}$ image you want to design the system.
