Model on the Elastic Behavior of Spectacle Frame (안경테 및 의료용구에 관한 연구 - 안경테의 탄성해석에 관한 모델 -)

  • Differential equations and their solutions were formulated to describe the deflection of both temples and front frames and the pressure exerted by them varying parameters such as elastic modulus, thickness, length, width and shape of crosssection. The effect of such parameters on the deflections of both temples and front frames was illustrated by plotting the solutions of the derived equations. Deflection of temples was found to be maximum where the cross section was diamond-shaped and to be minimum with the rectangular cross section while thickness and cross section area of temples remain constant. The effect of parameters consisting of front frame on the deflection of front frames are very similar to those on temples. The central deflection and pressure of front frame initiated by the temple decreases as the length of temple increases. Detailed analysis of stresses at various parts of the temple will help design custom made spectacle frame as well as most comfortable frames.

The formative characteristics and wearing pattern of front-bloused-type skirts from 15th to 16th century (15-16세기 전단후장형(前短後長形) 치마의 조형적 특징과 착용양상)

  • This study focused on front-blouse-type skirts from the 15th and 16th centuries and aimed to investigate their formative characteristics and wearing patterns. Previous studies, literature, records, paintings, and excavated clothing items were used as research materials. The researcher categorized front-blouse-type skirts into three types based on the construction method. The first has the front-center portion of the skirt folded up, the second has the center portion cut short, and the third has horizontal dart pleats on either side. An examination of 48 items from 18 excavation sites of front-blouse-type skirts showed that only the front-center portion folded up type appeared in the 15th century, and it was only in the 16th century that the other forms of skirts were worn. Finally, based on the analysis, the pattern of wearing front-blouse-type skirts and their changing factors was deduced. Front-blouse-type skirts were identified as ceremonial skirts that were popular in the 15th and 16th centuries among the types of long skirts available. The popularity and usage of this type of skirt began to spread gradually in the 15th century. In the 16th century, various types of front-blouse-type skirts were brought into vogue by the royal family and the external register. It can be inferred that the popularity of front-blouse-type skirts gradually declined in the 17th century as other types of long skirts, folding skirts, and Sran type skirts emerged.

  • 영상 분할은 임상에서의 진단과 분석 및 3차원 가시화하는데 있어 선행되어야 할 필수적인 과정이다. 본 논문에서는 심혈관계 영상의 분할을 위한 Wave-front SRG방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 2차원 슬라이스 영상에서 사용자에 의한 씨앗점(seed front)을 입력으로 받아 그 이웃한 슬라이스들에 wave-front를 만들어 영역 성장법에 의해 3차원 volume을 확장시킨다. 이때 다음으로 성장할 wave-front voxel의 mean gradient 값을 사용하여 밝기값의 변화가 심한 심혈관계 영상을 분할하였으며, Wave-front voxel의 size를 계산하여 혈관분할 시 발생할 수 있는 작은 채널에서의 새나감을 방지하였다. 제안된 방법을 컴퓨터 단층촬영으로 얻은 심혈 관계 영상의 분할에 적용한 결과, 밝기값의 변화가 심한 심혈관계 영상을 성공적으로 분할했으며, 작의 채널의 새나감이 없이 분할을 수행하였다.

On Characteristics of Sea Breeze Front observed in Pusan Coastal Area, Korea (부산연안역에서 관측된 해풍전선의 특성)

  • We have analyzed focusing on the characteristics, speed and width of sea breeze front in Pusan coastal area using the meteorological data observed at Kimhae air force meteorological station because the presence of the front has Important effects on the dInstributlon of air pollution. The inland penetration of sea breeze front was recognized by steep variation of meteorological parameters(wind direction, wind speed, temperature, dew point temperature, air pressure, relative humidity) before and after its passage and the variation of $SO_2$ concentration, the speed and width of the sea breeze front was 2.07m/s and 217m, respectively. The structure and inland penetration of sea breeeze front should be taken into account whenever a model is to be compared with detailed field measurements.

Reaction Condition Dependency of Propagating Behavior in the Polymerization Reaction by Thermal Front

  • In this study, the dependency of the behavior of propagating front on the reaction condition in frontal polymerization reaction has been studied. We have used some multifunctional acrylates as a monomer and ammonium persulfate as an initiator for the polymerization reactions. In frontal polymerization, a method of producing polymeric materials via a thermal front that propagates through the unreacted monomer/initiator solution, the behavior of self propagating front shows various dynamic patterns depending on the reaction condition. We have obtained some spin modes of propagating front in the number of 'hot spots' or 'spin heads' by changing the reaction condition. The effect of the reactor tube diameter on the mode of propagating front has also been studied by using some reactor tubes with different size of tube diameter and it has been examined in some detail by adopting an experimental method of two-tubes system.

Dimensional Analysis for the Front Chassis Module in the Auto Industry (자동차 프런트 샤시 모듈의 좌표 해석)

  • The directional ability of an automobile has an influence on driver directly, and hence it must be given most priority. Alignment factors of automobile such as the camber, caster and toe directly affect the directional ability of a vehicle. The above mentioned factors are determined by the pose of interlinks in the assembly of an automobile front chassis module. Measuring the position of center point of ball joints in the front lower arm is very difficult. A method to determine this position is suggested in this paper. Pose estimation for front chassis module and dimensional evaluation to find the rotational characteristics of front lower arm were developed based on fundamental geometric techniques. To interpret the inspection data obtained for front chassis module, 3-D best fit method is needed. The best fit method determines the relationship between the nominal design coordinate system and the corresponding feature coordinate system. The least squares method based on singular value decomposition is used in this paper.

  • 본 논문에서는 입력 매칭(input matching) BIST(Built-In Self-Test) 회로를 이용한 RF font end의 새로운 결함 검사방법을 제안한다. BIST 회로를 가진 RF front end는 1.8GHz LNA(Low Noise Amplifier: 저 잡음 증폭기)와 이중 대칭 구조의 Gilbert 셀 믹서로 구성되어 있으며, TSMC 0.25$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS 기술을 이용하여 설계되었다. catastrophic 결함 및 parametric 변동을 가진 RF front end와 결함을 갖지 않은 RF front end를 판별하기 위해 RF front end의 입력 전압 특성을 조사하였다. 본 방법에서는 DUT(Device Under Test: 검사대상이 되는 소자)와 BIST 회로가 동일한 칩 상에 설계되어 있기 때문에 측정할 때 단지 디지털 전자계와 고주파 전압 발생기만이 필요하며, 측정이 간단하고 비용이 저렴하다는 장점이 있다. BIST 회로가 차지하는 면적은 RF front end가 차지하는 전체면적의 약 10%에 불과하다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 검사기술을 이용하여 시뮬레이션해 본 결과 catastrophic 결함에 대해서는 100%, parametric 변동에 대해서는 약 79%의 결함을 검출할 수 있었다.

Spatial Variation of the Polar Front in relation to the Tsushima Warm Current in the East Sea (동해에서 쓰시마난류의 변동과 관련한 극전선의 공간적 변화)

  • Variation of the polar front in the East Sea is studied using temperature and dissolved oxygen data obtained from Japan Meteorological Agency from 1972 to 1999. Variation of the polar front in the East Sea has a close relation to the variation of the Tsushima Warm Current (TWC). When the TWC spreads widely in the East Sea, polar front moves northward. The spatial variation of the polar front is greater in the southwestern area of the East Sea and the northern area of Tsugaru Strait where the variation of the TWC's distribution area is greater than those in others of the East Sea. Hence, in the southeastern area of the East Sea, that is, between near Noto peninsula and Tsugaru Strait, the spatial variation of the polar front is not so wide as in the southwestern area because the flow of TWC is stable.

The Model Experiment on the Pair Midwater Trawl (중층용 쌍끌이 기선저인망의 모형실험)

  • A model experiment on the pair midwater trawl net which is prevailing in Denmark is carried out to get the basic data available for Korean pair bottom trawlers. The model net was made in 1/30 scale considering the Tauti's Similarity law of fishing gear and the dimension of experimental tank. The vertical opening, horizontal opening, towing tension and net working depth of the model net were determined in the tank within the towing velocity 0.46~1.15m/sec, front weight 15.5~62.0g and distance between paired boats 5~8m(which correpond to 2~5k't in towing velocity, 70~280kg in weight and 150~240m in distance respectively in the prototype net). The results got from the model experiment can be converted into the full scale net as follows; 1. Vertical opening showed the largest value of 32m at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 6m at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats. 2. Horizontal opening showed the largest value of 45m at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 33m at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats. 3. Towing tension showed the largest value of 10, 000kg at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 1, 600kg at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats. 4. Net working depth showed the largest value of 38m at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 150m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 6m at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats. 5. Net opening area showed the largest value of 1, 100m super(2) at the condition of 2k't in towing velocity, 280kg in front weight and 180m in the distance between paired boats, and the smallest value of 250m super(2) at the condition of 5k't in towing velocity, 70kg in front weight and 240m in the distance between paired boats.

  • The existence of the admissible solution for conservation laws of trilinear type occurring material sciences was proved by Abeyaratne and Knowles. LeFloch proved the existence of admissible solutions of conservation laws of this type via Glimm's method. In this paper we introduce a front tracking solution and prove the existence of the front tracking solution. We also investigate the admissibility of solutions via the Front Tracking Method.
