사천만과 남해연안에서 새우조망에 어획된 어류의 종조성 및 군집구조 (Species composition and community structure of fish by shrimp beam trawl between Sacheon Bay and coastal waters off Namhae, Korea)

  • It was turned out by shrimp beam trawl monthly survey from March, 2015 to February, 2016 that different species composition and abundance of the fish assemblages in Sacheon Bay and coastal waters off Namhae, Korea were compared. As a result of monthly measured sea temperature and salinity of Sacheon Bay and coastal waters off Namhae, sea temperature of both areas was changed seasonally; however, differences in sea temperature occurred during certain periods depending on the region. Salinity was generally low in Sacheon Bay affected by fresh water, and both areas was low in summer and high in winter. A total of 73 species representing 37 families were collected in Sacheon Bay. The dominant fish species in terms of numbers and biomass were Liparis tanakae, $23,077inds./km^2$, $332.1kg/km^2$. A total of 91 fish species representing 49 families were collected in coastal waters off Namhae. The dominant fish species in terms of numbers were Leiognathus nuchalis, $139,683inds./km^2$ and biomass were Chelidonichthys spinosus, $1,078.6kg/km^2$. Analysis of dendrogram of the clustering showed that Sacheon Bay and coastal waters off Namhae were distinctive featured (global R = 0.691, p = 0.017). And except of summer season (July-October), there was a distinctive feature seasonally (global R = 0.844, p = 0.001). The fish species that appeared in common in both areas, where fish species caught in Sacheon Bay, an important inner bay,were smaller than those caught in coastal waters off Namhae appeared. It presented that Sacheon Bay plays a more important role in spawning and nursery ground for fisheries resource than coastal waters off Namhae, Korea.

하이드로볼 배지경 아쿠아포닉스에서 사육수 및 상추 잎의 무기이온 농도 구명 (Determination of Mineral Nutrient Concentrations in Fish Growing Water and Lettuce Leaf for Hydroball Aquaphonics)

  • 하이드로볼 배지경 아쿠아포닉스에서 상추의 엽과 수조내 무기이온 함량 변화를 구명하기 위하여 실험 1은 간이 NFT 시스템에 여과기를 장착한 후 물고기 12마리 사육한 처리구(F12)와 여과기 없이 하이드로볼 배지를 장착하고 물고기 12마리를 재배한 처리구(H12), 여과기를 장착하고 하이드로볼에 상추 모종 6주를 심고 물고기 12마리를 재배한 처리구(FHP12)와 여과기 없이 하이드로볼에 상추 6주를 심고 물고기 12마리를 재배한 처리구(HP12)로 설정하였고, 실험 2는 간이 NFT에 여과기를 장착하고 하이드로볼을 장착한 후 식물 없이 물고기 15마리 사육한 처리구(FH15)와 여과기를 장착하고 하이드로볼에 상추 6주를 심고 물고기 15마리를 사육한 처리구(FHP15)로 설정하였다. 실험 1, 2의 모든 처리구에서 재배 동안사육수 pH가 낮아졌고 pH와 EC는 식물 재배구에서 더 낮았다. 실험 2의 FHP15 처리구의 사육수 내 무기이온 농도를 수경재배의 양액농도와 비교하였을 때 NO3-N과 P은 더 높았고 K는 16%, Ca은 49%, Mg은 82% 수준이었고 Fe는 불검출 수준이었다. FHP15 처리구에서 생산된 상추 생체중은 상품성 중량의 1/3(38g)수준이었다. 엽내 T-N과 P 함량은 적정수준에 근접하였고 K와 Fe 함량은 적정 미만이었으나 결핍증상은 없었다.

  • A case of sparganosis was presented. Sparganosis is not infrequent tissue helminthiasis in Korea and the incidence has been evidently increased. The patient was a 50-year-old Korean male who had a habit of eating raw flesh of fresh water fish. He first noticed the appearance of two peanut-sized masses in the right subcostal region, however, the two masses enlarged gradually to a pigeon egg size during 5 years. On surgical exploration, one larva (61 cm in length and 4 to 6 mm in width) from two masses was extracted. It was moved actively in warm physiological saline solution.

척추동물의 Isozyme에 관한 비교연구: V. 담수어류의 젖산 수소이탈효소 Isozyme

  • 젖산수소이탈효소의 isozyme 형을 8종의 담수산 어류에서 전기영동법으로 조사하였다. 이 isozyme형의 전기영동상의 분포는 명백한 종 특이성을 보여 준다. 그리고 이 isozyme은 random hybridizaiton이 아니고 선택적인 hybridization에 의하여 구성되고 있음을 시사하고 있다. 포유류와 달라 어류에서는 근조직과 뇌조직의 isozyme형이 동일한 형을 나타내는 경향이 있다.

  • This study was performed to determine effects of dietary inclusion of various concentrations and sources of sea tangle Laminaria japonica on growth, body composition and plasma chemistry of juvenile black porgy Acanthopagrus schlegeli. Juvenile fish (N=810; average mass=8.9 g) were distributed among twenty-seven 200 L flow-through tanks (30 fish per tank). Nine experimental diets were prepared: control (Con) without additives; sea tangle powder at 0.1%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 5%, (P-0.1, P-0.5, P-1, P-3 and P-5 diets, respectively); and fresh sea tangle (F-1); and 1% sea tangle extract (E-1). Each powdered additive was substituted for an eqaul amount of wheat flour, and the extract was substituted for an equal amount of water in the respective experiemtnal diets. Each diet was fed to triplicate groups of fish. Weight gain and feed conversion ratio were not affected by the experimental diets. Feed consumption by fish fed the P-1 diet was higher than that of fish fed the P-3 and P-5 diets. Moisture, crude protein, crude lipid, whole-body ash content (excluding the liver), liver moisture, and crude protein and lipid contents of fish were not affected by the experimental diets. None of the fish plasma criteria were affected by the experimental diets, with the exception of plasma glucose. In conclusion, dietary inclusion of various concentrations and sources of sea tangle did not significantly affect the growth, feed efficiency, body composition or plasma chemistry of juvenile black porgy.

Histopathology and residues in fresh water fish exposed to acute and chronic copper and mercury toxicity

  • A total number of 668 apparently healthy fish were obtained from farm to study the effect of two heavy metals (Copper and Mercury) on histopathology of liver, kidney, spleen, gills and muscles also residues in muscles. The $LC_{50}$/96 hr. of Cu and Hg were estimated and fish exposed to 1/2 $LC_{50}$ for 7 days and for 1/10 $LC_{50}$ for 8 weeks from each product separately. Histopathological findings in acute and chronic mercuric chloride toxicity revealed degeneration and necrosis in the glomeruli, interstitium tissue and epithelium lining renal tubules. The tubular epithelium became necrotic at several places. Eosinophilic hyaline droplets is exist in the cytoplasm of the necrosed cells. Degenerative changes and hyperactivity in melanomachrophage center was seen in the spleen together with some necrotic areas. Necrosis and aggregation of melanomachrophage were seen in the hepatic cells, Hepatic cells showed vacuolar degeneration in the hepatic cells. Gills showed loss in the lamellae of the filaments associated with edema, inflammatory cells infiltration and haemorrhages in the arch. The sarcoplasm of the bundles of the skeletal muscle showed granular degeneration and focal inflammatory cells infiltration between the hyalinized bundles. Mercury residues obtained from these studies in the acute toxicity were 0.22 ppm/gm in the 2nd day, 0.411 ppm/gm in the $5^{th}$ day ended with 0.96 ppm/gm in the $7^{th}$ day. In chronic toxicity it was 1.1320, 1.7140, 2.3620 and 3.5640 ppm/gm respectively from the $2^{nd}$ to the $8^{th}$ week of exposure. In acute and chronic copper toxicity, there was degenerative changes in renal tubules. Melanophores aggregation in the wall of the blood vessels of the spleen and depletion of some of the melanophores in the melanomachrophage were seen together with necrosis in some areas. Congested Mvs (Micro vessels) and vacuolation of hepatocytes were observed. Some areas of hemorrhage and melanophores vacuolar degeneration in the liver were seen. There was mitosis in some areas with displesia of hepatopancreatic cells and eosinophilic granular cells aggregation. Zymogen granules disappeared and there were dyplastic hepatocytes. Congestion in the blood vessels of the gill filaments, associated with massive number of granular eosinophilic cells infiltration were seen in the base of the filaments. There were sever vacuolization and hyalinization in the skeletal muscle bundles. Detection of residues of copper sulfate revealed increase of the amount of copper measured in ppm/gm comparing to the normal control starting from 0.60 ppm/g in the $2^{nd}$ day, 0.67 ppm/g in the $5^{th}$ day and 0.67 ppm/g in the $7^{th}$ day. Result obtained in chronic copper sulfate toxicity revealed gradual increase of the amount of copper which ranged from 0.18 ppm/g at the $2^{nd}$ week to 0.21 ppm/g in the $8^{th}$ week of exposure.

Centrocestus armatus에 관한 연구 1. 피라미와 갈겨니의 피낭유충 감염상 (Study on Centyocestus armatus in Korea I. Infection status of Zucco plutupus and Z. temminckii with the metacercariae of C. armatus)

  • 우리 나라 5대 강의 19개 하천에서 피라미와 갈겨니 총 370마리를 1988년 6월부터 9월까지 포획하고 개체별로 인공소화시켜 C. armatus 피낭유충 감염상을 조사하였다. 피라미의 피낭유충 감염률은 평균 86.8%, 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 224개(1∼5,431)이었으며, 갈겨니에서는 78.5% 및 131개(1∼2,711)이었다. 한강 수계에서 포획된 어류의 피낭유충 감염률과 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 73.4% 및 32개(1∼289)이었으며, 영산강산 어류는 각각 88.0% 및 44개(2∼176)이었다. 금강, 탐진강 및 섬진강산 어류는 모두 피낭유충에 감염되어 있었으며 어체당 평균 피낭유충 수는 지역별로 각각 45개(2∼243), 59개(3∼311) 및 119개(1∼1,682)이었다. 낙동강 수계에서 포획된 어류의 피낭유충 감염률은 81.0%이었으며 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 348개(1∼5,431)이었다. 이 연구로 C. armatus 는 우리 나라 5대 강 유역에 널리 분포하고 있음을 확인하였다.

하천에 서식하는 민물고동(다슬기)의 Sr, Pb 동위원소 특성 (Sr and Pb Isotopic Properties in Limnetic Gastropod (Semisulcospira libertina) Shell in the Jinan, Jeonbuk Area.)

  • 수중생물과 그 생물이 살았던 물과의 Sr 동위원소 조성은 크게 다르지 않으나, Pb 동위원소비는 Sr 동위원소와는 달리 생물과 그 생물이 살았던 물과 상이한 값을 보인다. 이 두 동위원소를 환경추적인자로 동시에 적용할 목적으로 담수에 사는 수중생물인 다슬기(Semisulcospira libertina) 껍질의 두 동위원소비를 측정하여 보았다. 하천수에 사는 다슬기 껍질의 Sr 동위원소비는 그들이 살았던 하천수의 동위원소비와는 같은 값을 보이지만, 채취지역에 따라서는 다른 값을 가진다. 하천수의 Sr 동위원소조성이 다른 것은 각 하천수의 기반암의 Sr 동위원소가 서로 다르기 때문으로 결국 하천수중의 Sr은 기반암으로부터 유래하고 다슬기 껍질의 Sr은 하천수에서 기인한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 반면에 Pb 동위원소비는 하천수와 다슬기 껍질이 서로 다른 값을 보이는 것은 하천수에 용해된 Pb이 다슬기가 흡수 가능한 Pb과는 다른 것으로 생각되며, 다슬기 껍질의 Pb 동위원소비는 강우의 Pb 동위원소비와 유사하다. 하천수에 용해된 Pb은 기반암에서 유래한 것이 아니라 토양 중에 집적된 대기기원의 Pb이 대부분인 것으로 생각된다.

농약의 협력작용으로 인한 잉어의 해독효소 활성의 변화 (Synergistic effects of pesticides on detoxifying enzyme activity of carp(Cyprinus carpio L.))

  • 참잉어에 대한 해독효소 활성을 협력작용을 갖는 농약을 공시하여 조사하였고 잉어의 각 조직별 효소활성도 조사하였다. 협력작용을 갖는 약제의 독성증가에 따른 효소활성은 carboxylesterase와 GST 모두 준치사 농도에서는 활성의 증가를 보였으나 독성이 증가함에 따라 활성이 감소하였다. Carboxylesterase의 활성은 IBP와 isoprothiolane과의 협력작용으로 인해 현저한 감소를 보였으며 GST 활성 또한 isoprothiolane의 IBP, cartap과의 협력작용으로 인해 감소를 나타냈다. 한편 각 조직별 효소활성의 경우, carboxylesterase는 단일약제 처리시 공시어의 간(肝)에서, 혼합약제 처리시 장(腸)에서 그 활성이 높았으며 GST의 조직별 활성은 약제의 처리양상과는 관계없이 다양한 효과를 보였다. HPLC 방법에 의한 LDH의 활성은 isoprothiolane 단일처리구에서 활성이 가장 높았고 isoprothiolane+cartap 혼합처리구와 cartap 단일처리구에서는 가장 낮았다.

전남 구례와 곡성 장수지역의 80세 이상 고령인의 음식문화 특성 연구 (Study on Food Culture of Koreans over 80-Years-Old Living in Goorye and Gokseong)

  • This study examined the food culture of Koreans aged over 80-years-old living in the areas of Goorye and Gokseong. The research method was based on examination of individual cases through in-depth interviews. The total number of survey subjects was 38; males constituted 34 percent of the subjects while females constituted 66 percent of the subjects. Average age of male subjects was 85.3 years while average age of females was 84.8 years. The results were summarized in the following properties of the typical and traditional Korean table, which was the most common food life's property in the longevity area of was centered around rice, watery soup, vegetables, and fish. The first, as the supply step's property of food ingredients, various spices and ingredients such as piperitum, tumeric, ginger, garlic, chili pepper, and salted fish were used. Senior persons also supplied fresh vegetables at the kitchen garden, and they led a nature-friendly food life. The second, as the production of food and cooking of food step's property, there were multigrain rice and fermented foods such as soybean paste, kimchi, red pepper paste, salted fish, vegetables picked in soy sauce, etc. The recipe was cookery intermediated with water, soup, steamed vegetables, seasonings, etc., and it was characterized by a deep and rich taste due to the various spices and rich ingredients. The third, as the consumption of food step's property, senior persons regularly ate a balanced diet three times a day. They also had active personal relationships with their neighbors by sharing food, which increased their sense of belonging and improved their life satisfaction.
