The correct estimation of the ionospheric delays is very important for the precise kinematic positioning especially in case of the long baseline. In case of triple frequency system, the ionospheric delays can be estimated from the measurements, but, in case of dual frequency system, the situation is not so simple. The precision of those supplied by the external information source such as IONEX is not sufficient. The high frequency component is neglected, and the precision of the low frequency component is not sufficient for the long baseline positioning. On the other hand, the high frequency component can be estimated from the phase range measurements. If the low frequency components are estimated by using the external information source or pseudo range measurements, a more reasonable estimation of the ionospheric delays may be possible. It has already been discussed by the author that the estimation of the low frequency components by using the external information source is not sufficient but fairly effective. The estimation using the pseudo range measurements is discussed in the present paper. The accuracy is not sufficient at present because of the errors in the pseudo range measurements. It is clarified that the bias errors in the pseudo range measurements are responsible for the poor accuracy of the ionospheric delays. However, if the accuracy of the pseudo range measurements is improved in future, the method would become very promising.
This study simulated the range of golf ball with different projection angles using a drive swing condition. For the simulation purpose, the differential equation of dynamics was induced by using Bernoulli's principle and average back spin frequency, instant velocity, and dimple of golf ball from amateur group, professional group, and Tiger Woods were chosen as the initial condition. The study result indicated that lift coefficient($C_{lift}$) relative to drag coefficient ($C_d$), 0.3 of differential equation was applied differently in terms of back spin Sequency, and when $C_{lift}$ was 0.4 for amateur, 0.5 for professional, and 0.7 for Tiger Woods the projection ranges of ball were closely matched with initial condition. With selected $C_{lift}$ and back spin frequency of initial condition, the ranges with different projection angle was measured as 193m ($13-17^{\circ}$) for amateur, 240m ($9-13^{\circ}$), professional and 273m ($9^{\circ}$)Tiger Woods, respectively. For the range in terms of back spin frequency and projection angle, the amateur group indicated relatively high spin frequency (70 RPS) and showed the maximal range (195m) with $13^{\circ}$ of projection angle. The tendency of longer range with higher projection angle was also found under the different conditions of spin frequency in this group. The professional group showed their maximal range (245m) with conditions of 60RPS of spin frequency and $9^{\circ}$ of projection angle. Their range was decreased dramatically when the spin frequency was reduced to 40-50 RPS. For Tiger Woods, the maximal range was found with 40RPS of spin frequency and the range was decreased notably when the spin frequency was above 40RPS.
A modern MEMS resonator is a micro-scale structure operated over a high frequency range. In order to predict its resonant behavior in a design process, High-frequency response analysis (Hi-FRA) is demanded. Algebraic substructuring (AS) is known as a fast numerical technique to construct an eigenspace for FR and frequency sweep (FS) algorithm efficiently solves the frequency response system projected on the eigenspace. However, the existing FS algorithm using AS is developed for low-FRA, say over the range 1Hz-2KHz. In this work, we extend the FS algorithm using AS for FRA over an arbitrary frequency range. Therefore, it can be efficiently applied to systems operated at a high frequency, say over the range 230MHz-250MHz. The success of the proposed method is demonstrated by Hi-FRA of a checkerboard resonator.

Pneumatic exciters can be good replacements of electrodynamic, piezoelectric and hydraulic exciters owing to simple structure and large exciting force. One problem to be solved is a slow response caused by compressibility of air. Desirable frequency response characteristics of exciter are constant magnitude and zero degree phase, because users want no time delay between input signal and output force. For this reason, frequency range of pneumatic exciters is limited about 0~1 Hz. Therefore, expansion of frequency range is an important issue when designing the pneumatic exciter. In this paper, the pneumatic exciter which has same structure with active pneumatic isolator is dealt with. The dynamic characteristics are presented, and its limitation of expanding frequency range is shown based on analytical studies. Then the pneumatic exciter with dual-chamber is suggested to overcome this problem. Based on simulation study, a design method is presented.
In this study, electroglottographic spectral tilt (EST) was investigated for characterization of vocal cords vibration. EST was analyzed from the power spectrum of electroglottographic signals by dividing frequency analysis range as full range (0~4 octave), low range (0~2 octave), and high range (2~4 octave). EST of all ranges in female were greater than those in male. In female and male groups, EST of high range was higher than that of low range. This result suggests that EST has at least two components and dividing frequency range in analysis of EST is effective for investigating characteristics of vocal cords vibration.
Frequency-multiplication technology based on microwave photonic principles can be used to generate microwave and millimeter wave signals with a wide frequency tuning range. However, the existing cascaded external modulation frequency-tupling scheme needs to ensure the phase coherence of the modulated Radio Frequency (RF) signal, while the phase modulation directly limits the frequency tuning range of the external modulation frequency multiplication. In this paper, a novel approach for generating an incoherent frequency 12-tupling signal with cascade modulation is proposed. The structure of cascaded dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulators can generate a frequency 12-tupling signal. The proposed structure uses no filter or phase control of the RF driving signal. Microwave photonic frequency-tupling was realized under incoherent conditions. Software simulations and experiments validated the proposed structure and proved that it can generate frequency 12-tupling microwave signals under incoherent conditions. Both the frequency range and reliability of the frequency-tupling system has been improved by the proposed structure.
In this work, I propose a temperature stable voltage-to-frequency converter in which the output frequency is directly proportional to the input voltage. The output frequency range is from 20㎑ to 60㎑ and the difference between simulated and calculated values is less than about 5% for this range of output frequency. The temperature variation of sample output frequencies is less than ${\pm}$0.5% in the temperature range -25$^{\circ}C$ to 75$^{\circ}C$.

To detect faults and monitor thinning on a pipe, many people use ultra sonic sensors that are operated in high frequency range. Because there are many modes in high frequency range, it is difficult to find faults and monitor pipe thinning on a structure. If we deal with signals in a low frequency range which include only A0 wave and S0 wave, the information of monitoring and diagnosis can be easily obtained. In this paper, the technique for exciting low frequency range using ultra sonic sensors is proposed. The main idea of the proposed method comes from the beat phenomenon. The beat frequency is equal to the absolute value of the difference in frequency of the two waves. If the beat frequency is tuned by two ultra waves, we can excite A0 mode and S0 mode of structures. To verify the proposed method, we have performed a steel plate and pipe experiments. Experimental results show that two ultra sonic sensors can well excite low frequency range.
The reattachment characteristics of propane lifted flames in laminar coflow jets influenced by AC electric fields have been investigated experimentally in low AC frequency range. The reattachment velocity and height have been measured by varying the applied AC voltage and frequency. The results showed that the reattachment of lifted flame occurred at relatively higher jet velocity with AC electric fields, comparing to that without having AC electric fields. The effect of AC electric fields became more effective at higher voltage and lower frequency in the AC frequency range larger than 30 Hz. However, in the low frequency range below 30 Hz, the reattachment velocity decreased with decreasing frequency. Consequently, there existed a transition regime, for the frequency smaller than about 30 Hz. Also, when the AC voltage was applied to the fuel nozzle at very low frequency, the reattachment process exhibited an oscillatory behavior, synchronized with the applied AC frequency.
A Stepped Frequency Radar(SFR) is a method of achieving high range resolution by gradually increasing the frequency of a transmitted pulse to create a wide synthetic bandwidth. However, in the case of moving target, accurate range estimation can not be performed due to the range-Doppler coupling phenomenon, so it is necessary to compensate through accurate velocity estimation. In this paper, we propose a stepped frequency radar waveform with a Coherent Pulse Train(CPT), velocity estimation results according to parameters using this method and VMD(Velocity Measurement Data) were compared and analyzed by numerical simulations.
