Harmful cyanobacterial blooms (HCBs) are caused by the rapid proliferation of cyanobacteria and are believed to be exacerbated by climate change. However, the extent to which HCBs will be stimulated in the future due to increased temperature remains uncertain. This study aims to predict the future occurrence of cyanobacteria in the Nakdong River, which has the highest incidence of HCBs in South Korea, based on temperature rise scenarios. Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) were used as the basis for these scenarios. Data-driven model simulations were conducted, and out of the four machine learning techniques tested (multiple linear regression, support vector regressor, decision tree, and random forest), the random forest model was selected for its relatively high prediction accuracy. The random forest model was used to predict the occurrence of cyanobacteria. The results of boxplot and time-series analyses showed that under the worst-case scenario (RCP8.5 (2100)), where temperature increases significantly, cyanobacterial abundance across all study areas was greatly stimulated. The study also found that the frequencies of HCB occurrences exceeding certain thresholds (100,000 and 1,000,000 cells/mL) increased under both the best-case scenario (RCP2.6 (2050)) and worst-case scenario (RCP8.5 (2100)). These findings suggest that the frequency of HCB occurrences surpassing a certain threshold level can serve as a useful diagnostic indicator of vulnerability to temperature increases caused by climate change. Additionally, this study highlights that water bodies currently susceptible to HCBs are likely to become even more vulnerable with climate change compared to those that are currently less susceptible.
The purpose of this study came to start to be helpful in that the teachers in field produced evaluation subject about the mathematics and applied by analyzing the performance capacity for the students about the subject developed through the application of subject about the teaching-learning model that can utilize the learners' learning experience and the development of items that can evaluate it by utilizing various and concrete operational materials as an object of the first year at the middle schools. Purpose. In this study, The change of the accommodation function due to the use of a smartphone was objectively evaluated using an Auto Refractokeratometer and was to investigate the effect of accommodation response and microfluctuations of accommodation on stable fatigue. Methods. Twenty subjects (20 males, 20 females) who had no abnormalities in ophthalmic disease and strabismus, diplopia, suppression, convergence and ocular movement, and corrected visual acuity and unaided visual acuity of 0.8 or more were performed. The average age of the participants is (21.78 ± 1.78) years old. The refractive power of the eye was measured using an Auto Refractokeratometer (Speedy-i K-model, Righton Mfg Co. Tokyo Japan), and the equivalent spherical power was automatically calculated from the measured refractive power. The accommodation response amount was calculated for the accommodation stimulation amount in 8 steps in 0.5D increments from + 0.50D to -3.00D in the calculated equivalent spherical power. The microfluctuations of accommodation in the high frequency region was calculated according to the change in the amount of the accommodation stimulus. At this time, the spectral power of the microfluctuations of accommodation was analyzed by Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT). Results. After using the smartphone, it was found that the accommodation response to accommodation stimulation decreased and the microfluctuations of accommodation increased. Conclusions. It can be said that the use of a smartphone affects the accommodation response and the microfluctuations of accommodation, thereby causing a accommodative stable fatigue. Therefore, it is thought that the use of a smartphone for a long time may bring about a change in the accommodation function.
To evaluate if the apoptotic fragment assay could be used to estimate the dose prediction after radiation exposure, we examined apoptotic mouse crypt cells per 1,000 cells after whole body $^{60}Co$$\gamma$-rays and 50MeV ($p{\rightarrow}Be^+$) cyclotron fast neutron irradiation in the range of 0.25 to 1 Gy, respectively. The incidence of apoptotic cell death rose steeply at very low doses up to 1 Gy, and radiation at all doses tigger rapid changes in crypt cells in stem cell region. These data suggest that apoptosis may play an important role in homeostasis of damaged radiosensitive target organ by removing damaged cells. The curve of dose-effect relationship for the data of apoptotic fragments was obtained by the linear-quadratic model $y=0.18+(9.728{\pm}0.887)D+(-4.727{\pm}1.033)D^2$ ($r^2=0.984$) after $\gamma$-rays irradiation, while $y=0.18+(5.125{\pm}0.601)D+(-2.652{\pm}0.7000)D^2$ ($r^2=0.970$) after neutrons in mice. The dose-response curves were linear-quadratic, and a significant dose-response relationship was found between the frequency of apoptotic cell and dose. These data show a trend towards increase of the numbers of apoptotic crypt cells with increasing dose. Both the time course and the radiation dose-response curve for high and low linear energy transfer (LET) radiation modalities were similar. The relative biological effectiveness (RBE) value for crypt cells was 2.072. In addition, there were significant peaks on apoptosis induction at 4 and 6h after irradiation, and the morpholoigcal findings of the irradiated groups were typical apoptotic fragments in crypt cells that were hardly observed in the control group. Thus, apoptosis in crypt cells could be a useful in vivo model for studying radio-protective drug sensitivity or screening test, microdosimetric indicator and radiation-induced target organ injury. Since the apoptotic fragment assay is simple, rapid and reproducible in the range of 0.25 to 1 Gy, it will also be a good tool for evaluating the dose response of radiation-induced organ damage in vivo and provide a potentially valuable biodosimetry for the early dose prediction after accidental exposure.

The acoustical response of fish depends on size and physical structure na, most important, on the presence or absence of a swimbladder. Acoustic scattering models for swimbladdered fish represent a fish by an ideal pressure-release surface having the size and shape as the swimbladder. Target strength experiments of red seabream (Chrysophrys major) have been conducted using 38 (split-beam), 120 (split-beam) and 200kHz (dual-beam) frequencies. At each start of each experiment, the live fish are placed in the cage at the surface, then the cage is lowed to about $4{\cal}m$ depth where it remains during the measurements. To test the acoustic models, predictions of target strength based on swimbladder morphometries of 10 red seabream offish total length from $103{\cal}mm{\;}to{\;}349{\cal}mm$ ($3 <$TL/\lambda$ < 45)are compared with conventional target strength measurements on the same, shock-frozen immediately after caged experiments. X-ray was projected along dorsal aspect to know the morphological construction of swimbladder. and fish body. At high frequencies, Helmholtz-kirchhoff(HK) approximation would greatly enhance swimbladdered fish modeling. Sound scattering model [HK-ray approximation model] for comparison to experimental target strength data was used to model backscatter measurements from individual fish. The scattering data can be used in the inverse method along with multiple frequency sonar systems to investigate the adequacy of classification and identification of fish

The paper studies a comparison analysis of semi-active control strategies for a Macpherson strut type suspension system consisting of MR(magneto-rheological) damper. As a first step, in order to formulate governing, a dynamic full model of a Macpherson strut is developed considering the kinematics. The nonlinear equation of motion of the strut is then linearized around the equilibrium point. A new adaptive moving sliding model controller is developed for fast response of the system. A newly proposed adaptive moving sliding mode control strategy is then compared with conventional sliding mode controller and skyhook controller. The comparison is made for two different types of road inputs; bump and random road profiles showing superior vibration control performance in time and frequency domains.
A new type of the fluid circulation blood pressure simulator was proposed to enhance the blood pressure simulator used for the development and evaluation of automatic sphygmomanometers. Various pressure waveform of fluid flowing in the pipe was reproduced by operating the proportional control valve after applying a pressure on the fluid in pressurized oil tank. After that, appropriate fluid was supplied by operating the proportional control valve, which enabled to reproduce various pressure wave of the fluid flowing in the tube. To accomplish this work, the mathematical model was carefully reviewed in cooperating with the proposed simulator. After modeling the driving signal as input signal and the pressure in internal tube as output signal, the simulation on system parameters such as internal volume, cross-section of orifice and supply pressure, which are sensitive to dynamic characteristic of system, was accomplished. System parameters affecting the dynamic characteristic were analyzed in the frequency bandwidth and also reflected to the design of the plant. The performance evaluator of fluid dynamic characteristic using proportional control signal was fabricated on the basis of obtained simulation result. An experimental apparatus was set-up and measurements on the dynamic characteristic, nonlinearity, and rising and falling response was carried out to verify the characteristic of the fluid dynamic model. Controller was designed and thereafter, simulation was performed to control the output signal with respect to the reference input in the fluid dynamic model using the proposed proportional control valve. Hybrid controller combined with an proportional controller and feed-forward controller was fabricated after applying a disturbance observer to the control plant. Comparison of the simulations between the conventional proportional controller and the proposed hybrid simulator indicated that even though the former showed good control performance.
Currently, vector control is used for speed control of trains because induction motor has high performance is installed in Electric railroad systems. Also, control of the induction motor is possible through various methods by developing inverters and control theory. Presently, rolling stocks which use the induction motor are possible to brake trains by using AC motor. Therefore model of motor block and induction motor is needed to adapt various methods. There is Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) as the control method of the induction motor. The torque and speed is controlled in the VVVF. The propulsion system model in the electric railroad has many sub-systems. So, the analysis of performance of the speed control is very complex. In this paper, simulation models are suggested by using Matlab/Simulink in the speed control characteristic. On the basis of the simulation models, the response to disturbance input is analyzed about the load. Also, the current, speed and flux control model are proposed to analyze the speed control characteristic in the train propulsion system.

Finite element models are updated in two stages in this paper. In the first stage, damping is neglected, and mass and stiffness matrices of a finite element model are updated using an optimization technique. The objective function for optimization consists of natural frequencies and mode shapes obtained from experimental modal testing data and finite element analysis. In the second stage, damping is considered with the mass and stiffness matrices fixed. A damping matrix is estimated assuming a proportional damping system. Then the damping matrix is adjusted using an optimization process so that the difference between the analytical and measured frequency response functions becomes minimum. This procedure of model updating has been applied to a simulated system and an experimental cantilever beam.
