The role of the Polytechnician as state engineer in the making of modern engineering science in France has been well known. This article articulates the role of the civilian engineers and the two engineering schools producing those civilian engineers in the making of typically French engineering tradition, particularly in mechanical engineering. The mechanical engineers from Ecoles des Arts et M$\acute{e}$tiers and Ecole Central des Arts et Manufactures played a significant roles in the making of modern engineering sciences through their contributions to the making engineering as a theoretical sciences and to the mediation of the technicians and the managers in mechanical engineering.

The purpose of this study was to identify the necessity of research for increasing French language learners and to examine their use of listening strategies according to their proficiency as a basic study for their continuous learning and communication skills. In the case of French language Korean learners, both the beginner and intermediate learners used the upper cognitive strategy most frequently. However, the cognitive strategy, which has been mentioned as a frequently used strategy in previous studies, was found to be the least used in this study. This finding can be attributed to differences in mores and mastery of prior studies and research subjects. The cognitive strategy was lower in both the beginner and intermediate levels, but the level of use increased significantly in the intermediate level compared to the beginner level, showing only statistically significant differences in the usage patterns according to the proficiency level among the four listening strategies.

우리는 OECD의 핵심역량 제안과 관련하여 한국대학의 교양교육에서 이를 실현하고자 하는 시도를 고려하여 학습자에게 어떤 교육방안을 제시하는 것이 바람직한지에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. 대학은 새로운 인재상과 교육의 방향성을 재고하며 역량중심 교육을 인적, 사회적 분야로 확장하고 있다. 이처럼 각 대학은 핵심역량을 선별하고 구성하여 대학이 추구하는 핵심역량을 교육목표에 도입한다. 교육부 주관하에 핵심역량 중심 교육은 무엇보다 대학의 교양강좌에서 구현 가능성을 타진하고 있다. 우리는 이를 접목하고 수용하는 과정에서 학습자 중심의 교수학습 효과를 거둘 수 있는 방법론을 탐색하고자 한다. 이문화 이해와 함께 언어습득은 무엇보다 다양성과 상호이해 측면에서 학습자의 역량을 도모할 수 있는 부분이다. 이에 우리는 프랑스어 교양교육에 이를 반영하여 학습자의 동기부여와 관련한 다양성 존중과 상호문화이해 역량 교육을 강의에 접목하여 교수학습 과정을 모색하려 한다. 우리는 학습자의 수용 결과를 도출하면서 기존의 능력 중심의 평가로 진행되어야 하는 점을 극복하기 위해 발표 과제로 협업과 상호문화이해 과정을 통해 이를 보완하고자 한다. 따라서 핵심역량 교육의 방향은 자연스럽게 가치 중심 교육으로 전환한다는 사실을 인지하게 된다.

This paper examines the birth of civil engineers in the United States. Unlike the advanced some European countries such as Great Britain or France, as a new nation America had to import high-tech technologies from them. In the process of transplantation she had mixed up the civil engineering of British style with French's. As a result, the training of the civil engineers in America had developed in various ways.

This research aims to demonstrate the sociocultural significance of architectural journals produced in the 1970s during which a fundamental reconsideration of architectural discipline has been made. To this end, we established a method of analysis adapted to the characteristics of architectural journals of that period. In this formulation, the relative autonomy of architectural journal with regard to various actors and institutions involved in its production emerged as a major criterion for the analysis of a journal. From this methodological reflection, we analyzed two French architectural journals, AMC published between 1973 and 1981 and l'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui between 1974 and 1977, which were produced both in close relation with parisian architectural schools (UPA) in the context of reestablishment of architectural education and beginning of architectural research in France after the events of May 1968. If these journals reflected and strengthened the architectural reality and especially the social network of their protagonists, it is equally important to note that they have transformed it into cultural network, and this by the mechanism proper to their preparation and their textual organization.

이 연구의 목적은 격언을 중심으로 프랑스어 학습 자료의 다양성을 모색하고 학습 효과의 효율성을 높이기 위한 학습 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이 논문은 두 부분으로 구성되어져 있다. 첫 번째 부분에서는 격언들이 프랑스어의 형태, 통사적 특성을 바탕으로 구성되어 있음을 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 격언을 중심으로 한 프랑스어 학습 활용 방안과 관련한 선행 연구들을 분석함으로써 프랑스어 학습에 활용될 수 있는 가능성에 초점을 맞추었다. 두 번째 부분에서는 학습자들의 프랑스어 능력과 학습 내용의 난이도에 따라 초급 단계와 중급 단계로 구분하여 실제 학습에서 활용할 수 있는 예들을 살펴볼 것이다. 이를 통해 우리는 격언이 문화적인 영역의 요소일 뿐 아니라 프랑스어 학습 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 효율적인 학습 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점을 강조하였다. 언어 학습에서 문화적 요소의 중요성은 이미 오래 전부터 강조되어 왔다. 따라서 학습자의 수준과 학습 내용을 고려한 문화적 특성을 지니는 격언의 교육 현장에서의 적용은 교수법의 측면에서 학습의 효율성을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

This study is carried out to develope parent education methodology by analysing "${\acute{E}}cole$ des Parents" of France. To study this subject we approach by following three methodes. Firstly, we examined bibliographes to find out motivation of initiative caused from hystological and sociological circumstance. Secondly, to analyse chronological developement and modification of "${\acute{E}}cole$ des Parents" we interviewed with three periods of persons : founder, developer and actually working animators. In addition, we riviewed three hundred eighty volumes of $\underline{{\acute{E}}cole\;des\;Parents}$, from first jurnals to october, 1993. Thirdly, this study were approached by participant observation in actual activities, and by analyse statstical records and subject of articals. In results, we noticed following caractors working in french parent education system. All the regional "${\acute{E}}cole$ des Parents" are alined with "$F{\acute{E}}d{\acute{E}}ration$ Nationale des ${\acute{E}}cole$ des Parents et des ${\acute{E}}ducateurs$"(F.N.E.PE.) in educational polish but activities and methodes of education are independant with F.N.E.P.E., and in most different regional "${\acute{E}}cole$ des Parents" focussed the educational programes to the middle class families in economic point of view. these programes adjust very rapidly systematicaly to social requirment due to successed intensive research. Mordern programs tend to contain all members of family in stead of targeting only maternal members. Methodes of education by lectures and speechs only to deliver information also replaced by discussion, forum and groop animation to induce self-correction. We propose that the systems of FNEPE can be ideal models to solve many actual problems facing in Korean parent education systemes.

Civil college is a public educational institute for theoretical and practical learning. This study examines the social context behind France's civil college and how it is being operated. Many studies have been conducted in Korea to examine Germany in terms of lifelong learning or adult learning, but there is almost no study on France. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the history and operation of civil college, the "college outside college," in France and what Korea should learn from it. The civil college of France can be discussed in two contexts: first, it is AUPF, which stands for the French association of civil colleges, and it was mostly influenced by Northern Europe and Germany. Second, it is Caen Civil College, which was established by M. Onfray based his philosophical collaboration. The European civil college opened almost 1,000 courses in 2010-2011 for a variety of subjects, including Foreign Languages, Mother Tongue, the Dialects of Alsace, Philosophy, Cosmology, History, Art History, Psychology, Sociology, Astronomy, Botany, and Natural Science. Courses in Fine Arts include drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, music, and theater. For another form of civil college, Philosopher M. Onfray has been operating Caen Civil College since 2002 for general education and cultural education. It is not acknowledged by conventional philosophers, but it is contributing to the popularization of philosophy. In conclusion, the civil college in France has brought in-depth philosophical discussions out of the lecture rooms in an effort to popularize learning, making lifelong learning more accessible to the general public.

최근 대한민국에서는 국제대회에서의 좋은 성적과 미디어에서의 노출로 인하여 펜싱에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 하지만 펜싱에 입문하는데 있어서 어려운 요소 중 하나가 초기 장비 구입 비용 문제이다. 이를 해결하여야 펜싱 저변 확대에 기여를 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 블루투스 통신을 활용한 모바일 애플리케이션으로 리모콘의 기능을 대체하고, 펜싱 스코어보드의 기능과 프랑스어로 된 펜싱 용어를 학습할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 개발하였다. 펜싱 지도자와 동호인들에게 인터뷰를 통하여 본 연구에서 필요한 사항을 알아내고, 시험 작동하여 본 결과 장단점을 언급하도록 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 펜싱 스코어보드의 경량화 및 소량화를 이뤄내고 비용절감을 통하여 펜싱의 보급에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.
