자연마섬유보강 비소성 무기결합재 다공성 콘크리트의 공극률, 압축강도 및 동결융해저항성 평가 (Void Ratio, Compressive Strength and Freezing and Thawing Resistance of Natural Jute Fiber Reinforced Non-Sintering Inorganic Binder Porous Concrete)

  • This study evaluated the effects of fibers on the void ratio, compressive strength and repeated freezing and thawing resistance of porous vegetation concrete with binder type (non-sintering inorganic binder and blast furnace slag cement) and natural jute fiber volume fraction (0.0 %, 0.1 % and 0.2 %). The natural jute fiber volume fraction affected the void ratio, compressive strength and repeated freezing and thawing resistance. Added of natural jute fiber resulted in improved properties of the void ratio, compressive strength and freezing and thawing resistance. Also, the both compressive strength and freezing and thawing resistance increased with natural jute fiber volume fraction up to 0.1 % and then decreased with fiber volume fraction at 0.2 %.

소수성 표면의 형상 변화를 통한 액적의 방빙 가시화 연구 (Droplet anti icing visualization research through hydrophobic variation of surface structure)

  • In this study, we investigated the freezing delay time on surfaces with different patterns under -30° conditions through visualization experiments. Among various pattern structures, we fabricated the shape and surface of liquid from the spacing using circular filaments and hole structures. Additionally, using a high-speed camera, we visualized the freezing scenes, enabling us to obtain freezing images and measure the freezing time of the liquid. For each structure, the contact angle and solid fraction of the surface varied. We observed that the freezing delay time was longest when the contact angle was largest and the solid fraction was smallest within the experimental results. We analyzed the variation in anti-icing time using the heat exchange equation between the patterned surface and the liquid.

빙점이하에서 과일쥬스의 밀도측정방법 및 예측모델 (Density Measurement Technique and Prediction Model of Fruit Juices under Freezing Point)

  • 본 연구는 식품의 동결시 동결기구의 설계 및 동결에너지의 효율적인 운용등을 위하여 동결상태에서 과일쥬스의 농도 및 온도변화에 따른 밀도변화를 예측하기 위하여 수행되었다. 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40%농도의 Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Grape Juice 및 Sucrose Solation을 시료로 하여 온도강하에 의해 동결팽창되는 부위를 제거하므로써 거기에 따른 무게변화를 $-5^{\circ}C$에서 $-40^{\circ}C$까지의 온도범위에서 $5^{\circ}C$ 간격으로 각각 측정하여 밀도를 산출하였다. 그리고, Heldman의 식을 이용하여, 위의 농도와 온도범위에서 각 과일쥬스와 Sucrose Solution의 Unfrozen water fraction을 계산하였다. 실험을 통해 측정된 밀도데이타와 Unfrozen water fraction 데이타를 최적화 컴퓨터 프로그램을 이용하여 10%에서 40%까지의 농도범위와 $-5^{\circ}C$에서 $-40^{\circ}C$까지의 온도범위에서 Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Grape Juice 및 Sucrose Solution의 밀도를 예측할 수 있는 모델을 수립하였다.

과냉각을 동반한 동결과정의 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis for Cooling and Freezing Processes with Subcooling)

  • In this study, which focuses on ice storage, a fundamental study in cooling and solidification was performed, including the interesting phenomena of density inversion, supercooling and dendritic ice. A numerical study was performed for natural convection and ice formation considering existence of subcooling and dendritic ice were analyzed numerically by using finite difference method and boundary fixing method. In the mesh, the solid fraction was introduced with adding as a term to the energy conservation equation. A flow in the dendrite was modelled as a flow in a porous medium, and the momentum conservation equation was modified to incorporate resistance forces involved in flows through porous media. A numerical solution of the time dependencies of dendrite area and dense ice front was successfully obtained, and the numerical results were good agreement with experimental results. Based on this methodology, a discussion was made of phenomena and characteristics of cooling and freezing processes under various conditions.

  • 본 연구는 수평원통내에 물을 체적비($V_l/V_{tot}$) 0.50, 0.91로 각각 장입한 후 물의 조기 과열온도와 벽면 냉각온도를 각각 변화시키면서 내향 응고시켰을 경우, 시간에 따른 상변화물질의 평균온도, 상경계면의 형상, 응고율, 응고에너지 등을 실험적으로 구하여 이를 비교 검토한 것이다. 응고진행시 상경계면은 물의 초기 과열온도가 높을수록 응고초기에 상단부분이 하단부분보다 빠르게 진행되었으나 응고가 진행됨에 따라 상하단의 상격계면 전진속도는 거의 동일하게 나타났다. 동일한 온도조건에서 전과정에 걸친 응고율($M_s/M_{tot}$)은 체적비 0.5인 경우가 0.91인 경우 보다 크게 나타나 수평원통내 물의 내향응고시 물의 체적비($V_l/V_{tot}$) 변화에 의한 영향도 고려하여야 함을 알 수 있었다.

포화도와 실트 함량에 따른 동결토의 부동 수분량 및 일축압축강도 특성 (Unfrozen Water Content and Unconfined Compressive Strength of Frozen Soils according to Degree of Saturations and Silt Fractions)

  • 동결토의 강도는 흙 입자의 크기와 모양, 그리고 얼음과 부동 수분의 양과 같은 요인에 영향을 받는다. 본 연구에서는 동결토의 포화도와 실트 함량에 따라 변화하는 부동 수분의 양과 강도를 평가하고자 하였다. 시료는 주문진사, 실트, 그리고 증류수를 혼합하여 사용하였다. 실트의 함량비(SF)는 주문진사의 중량($W_{sand}$)에 대한 실트 중량($W_{silt}$)의 비율이 10%와 30%가 되도록 혼합하고, 포화도는 5%, 10%, 15%, 그리고 20%가 되도록 조성하였다. 시료는 $-10^{\circ}C$의 챔버 내에서 동결하였고, 동결 시간을 선정하기 위하여 24 시간, 48 시간, 그리고 72 시간동안 동결한 시료에 대하여 일축압축실험을 수행하였다. 일축압축강도가 동결 시간 24 시간 이후에 유사하여 동결 시간은 24 시간으로 선정하였다. 또한, 동결 과정 중 부동 수분의 양을 파악하기 위해 TDR 시스템을 이용하여 시료의 함수비를 모니터링 하였으며, 실트의 함량과 포화도가 증가함에 따라 부동 수분의 양이 증가하였다. 동결이 완료된 시료에 대하여 일축압축실험을 수행하였고, 포화도의 증가에 따라 일축압축강도가 지수함수적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 포화도가 증가함에 따라 부동 수분의 양이 증가하였으나, 동결에 사용된 물 즉, 얼음이 강도 발현에 보다 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 판단된다.

재생골재 및 섬유 혼입률에 따른 포장용 투수성 폴리머 콘크리트의 역학적 특성 (Mechanical Properties of Permeable Polymer Concrete for Permeability Pavement with Recycled Aggregate and Fiber Volume Fraction)

  • Research on permeable pavement like asphalt and concrete pavement with porous structure has been increasing due to environmental and functional need such as reduction of run off and flood, and increase and purification of underwater resource. This study was performed to evaluate permeability, strengths and durability of permeable polymer concrete (PPC) using recycled aggregate that is obtained from waste concrete. Also, 6mm length of polypropylene fiber was used to increase toughness and interlocking between aggregate and aggregate surrounded by binder. In the test results, regardless of kinds of aggregates and fiber contents, the compressive strength and permeability coefficient of all types of PPC showed the higher than the criterion of porous concrete that is used in permeable pavement in Korea. Also, strengths of PPC with increase polypropylene fiber volume fraction showed slightly increased tendency due to increase binder with increase of fiber volume fraction. The weight reduction ratios for PPC after 300 cycles of freezing and thawing were in the range of 1.6~3.8 % and 2.2~5.6 %, respectively. The weight change ratio was very low regardless of the fiber volume fraction and aggregates. The weight reduction ratios of PPC with fiber and aggregate were in the range of 1.3~2.7 % and 2.2~3.2 % after 13 weeks and was very low regardless of the fiber volume fraction and aggregates.

동결보호제 및 Sucrose 농도가 급속동결한 마우스 집합배의 생존성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of cryoprotectants and sucrose concentrations on the viability of aggregated mouse embryos frozen rapidly in liquid nitrogen vapour)

  • The effects of ethylene glycol, DMSO and glycerol as cryoprotectants and the effect of concentrations(0, 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0M) of sucrose in the diluent on the viability of the aggregated morulae frozen rapidly in liquid nitrogen$(LN_2)$ vapour were examined. The morulae were produced by aggregation of ICR and CBA mice embryos at 8-cell stage. Before freezing the embryos were equilibrated in 1.5M cryoprotectants+0.25M sucrose in oae-step or in 3.0M cryoprotectants+0.25M sucrose in two-steps. The embryos were pipetted into the freezing medium fraction of 0.25ml plastic straws. The straws were frozeu by directly transfer into $LN_2$ vapour(about lcm above $LN_2$) for 2 minutes, and then plunged into $LN_2$. After thawing the cryoprotectants were diluted with 0, 0.25, 0.5 or 1.0M sucrose solution. The post-thawed in vitro viability of the aggregated embryos was significantly dependent on the type and concentration of cryoprotectants in the freezing medium and also on the concentration of sucrose in the diluent. When the aggregated embryos were equilibrated in 1.5M cryoprotectants +0.25M sucrose in one-step and diluted with 0.5M sucrose after thawing, the survival rate of the embryo5 was significantly(p<0.05) higher in DMSO(62.5%) or ethylene glycol(52.2%) than in glycerol(33.3 %). In the case that the concentration of the cryoprotectants was raised to 3.0M in two-steps, thc higher survival rate of the embryos was obtained in ethylene glycol or glycerol than in DMSO followed by diluting them with 0.5 or 1.0M sucrose after thawing(p<0.01).

동결 온도에서 다짐효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Effectiveness of Soil Compaction at Below-Freezing Temperatures)

  • 우리나라는 사계절이 뚜렷하며 여름에는 고온다습한 무더운 날씨를 보이고 겨울에는 혹한의 날씨가 지속된다. 이러한 계절적 특성을 고려하여 국내 토공 분야에서는 많은 연구들이 있었으나 대부분의 연구가 지반의 동결 융해에 초점을 맞추어 이루어졌다. 이러한 연구들은 시공 당시의 기온에 따른 지반특성을 반영하지 못하였으며 상온에서 다져진 지반을 대상으로 실시되었다. 그러나 동절기 다짐의 경우 상온에서의 다짐과는 다른 지반상태를 나타낼 것으로 예상되며, 그에 따른 동결 융해로 인한 강도 및 변형 특성 또한 다르게 나타날 것으로 판단되나 이를 고려한 연구는 아직까지 전무한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 $-3^{\circ}C$$-8^{\circ}C$에서 주문진 표준사에 카올리나이트를 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%의 중량비로 혼합하여 다짐시험을 실시하였으며, 상온($18^{\circ}C$)에서의 다짐곡선과 비교하여 온도 및 세립분 함량에 따른 다짐 효과를 살펴보았다. 시험 결과, 동결 온도에서 다짐 시 최대건조단위중량이 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, $-8^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 다짐 시공 시 시방서의 다짐기준을 만족하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.

말 정액 동결시 Glycerol 농도와 동결 속도가 생존율에 미치는 영향 (Factors Affecting the Survival Rates of Frozen-Thawed Spermatozoa in Equine by Glycerol Concentration and Freezing Speed)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the survival rate of frozen-thawed spermatozoa in equine by glycerol concentration and freezing speed Two stallions (1 Thoroughbred-13 year old and 1 Arab-7 year old) bred in Korea Racing authority was examined for 1 times in a couple of weeks. Semen was collected by condom method standing heated mare and were centrifuged 650 g for 15 min. and isolated the seminal plasma. Thick fraction of semen was diluted EDTA-Lactose-egg yolk diluents to 1:1 and contained in 0.5 ml straw as $6{\sim}14{\times}10^7\;cells/ml$. Final concentrations of glycerol were 3, 5 and 7% in cryopreseved diluents and added 4 times for 2 hours equilibration. For the freezing, equilibrated straws were located 3 or 5 em above $LN_2$ gas for 5 or 10 min. Survival rates of pre-frozen sperm were $65.0{\pm}13.2%$, $68.3{\pm}10.4%$, $66.7{\pm}11.5%$ and post-frozen were $53.3{\pm}23.1%$, $45.0{\pm}15.0%$, $50.0{\pm}18.0%$ in 3, 5, 7% glycerol concentration, respectively. There was no difference between glycerol concentrations. Survival rates of frozen-thawed sperm on freezing speed were $36.7{\pm}10.4%$, $40.0{\pm}7.1%$, $30.0{\pm}13.2%$ at 3 cm-5 min and $33.3{\pm}11.5%$, $31.7{\pm}2.9%$, $21.7{\pm}10.4%$ at 3 cm-10 min in 3, 5, 7% glycerol concentration, respectively. Survival rates of frozen-thawed sperm on freezing speed were $43.3{\pm}15.3%$, $32.0{\pm}17.9%$, $22.3{\pm}15.7%$ at 5cm-5 min and were $47.5{\pm}15.0%$, $43.3{\pm}12.6%$, $48.3{\pm}15.3%$ at 5cm-10 min in 3, 5, 7% glycerol concentration, respectively. There were significantly different between groups (p<0.05). These results suggest that glycerol concentration did not affect cryopreservation of stallion semen within 3~7% but freezing speed affects. In our experiment, the best cryopreservation condition was at 5 cm above $LN_2$ gas for 10 min for pre-freezing and 7% of glycerol concentration. These results lead to commercial AI with frozen-thawed stallion semen.
