This study examined the effects of free writing in writing class targeted for engineering students on their writing skills. To assess the effects, we have asked 100 engineering students from writing class to write free writing, classifying them as the test group(N=50) and the control group(N=50). We have also compared their learning effect, their writing ability, and learning satisfaction via pre and post intervention surveys. The results showed higher change in learning effect, interest in writing, learning attitude, writing ability, learning satisfaction in the test group compared to the control group. This positive change proves that free writing is a significant teaching method in writing class for engineering and science students.

In future domestic context aware applications the location of mobile devices is often required. Ultrasonic technology enables high resolution indoor position measurements. A disadvantage of state-of-art ultrasonic systems is that several base stations are required to estimate 3D position. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of using UPS as a 3D free-hand writing or drawing tool. The processes include the design and testing of UPS as an efficient 3D free-hand writing or drawing tool in the air. The paper will further explain the system architecture of the UPS and how to use GPS as 3D free-hand writing or drawing tool. The efficiency and effectiveness of the system was confirmed by a computer software simulation. The software will further display the result of drawing or writing from the user by graphics. As a result, it is possible to implement UPS as a 3D free-hand writing or drawing tool in the air.

Ultrasonic Positioning System (UPS) is an absolute positioning system using ultrasonic waves and has better performance in low price than the other absolute positioning systems. UPS can be further used as pseudo-satellites in the place where GPS is not available. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of using UPS as a 3D free-hand writing or drawing tool. 본 연구는 일반 목적의 한국어교육에서 쓰기 능력을 배양하기 위해 제시되는 쓰기 과제가 학습자들이 성공적으로 수행할 수 있도록 구성되어 있는지를 통합형 한국어교재를 분석함으로써 논의하고자 하였다. 우선, 선행 연구에서 언급한 쓰기 과제의 개념 및 구성요소를 바탕으로 쓰기 과제의 구성요소를 정립하고 이 설정한 쓰기 과제의 구성요소를 가지고 연구 대상인 통합형 한국어교재를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 쓰기과제의 유형에서 '자유 작문'과 '모방해서 쓰기'가 가장 높은 분포를 보였고 교재에서 공통적으로 다루는 주제는 21개 정도였다. 지시 내용의 대다수가 한 두 문장의 지시문으로 지시사항을 진술하는데 대부분이 주제 및 장르만을 제공하고 있으며 글의 목적, 형식, 분량, 시간 등은 제시되어 있지 않았다. 읽기 텍스트의 유형은 정보 전달의 목적을 가지는 설명문의 텍스트가 가장 많았고 평가 준거와 기타 요소에서 채점 기준과 시간은 전혀 제시되지 않고 있었다. 고급수준의 쓰기 과제에서는 글의 분량, 형식 등이 그나마 제시되는 편이나 초급과 중급에서는 이것조차 거의 나타나지 않았다. 이처럼 통합형 한국어교재에는 쓰기 과제의 구성요소가 고루 갖추어지지 않은 채 학습자들에게 제시되고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

We propose a novel direct writing technique with a femtosecond laser enabling selective modification of not only the morphology of conducting polymer thin films but also the orientation and alignment of the polymer crystal. Surface relief gratings resulting from photoexpansion on P3HT:PCBM and PEDOT:PSS thin films were fabricated by femtosecond laser direct writing. The photoexpansion was induced at laser fluence below the ablation threshold of the thin film. The morphology (size and shape) of photoexpansion could be quantitatively controlled by laser writing parameters such as focused beam size, writing speed, and laser fluence. GIWAX results showed that face-on P3HT crystals were largely increased in the photoexpansion in comparison with pristine region of the thin film. In addition, the face-on P3HTs in the photoexpansion were aligned with their orientation along the polarization of the laser. The micro-RAMAN spectra confirmed that neither chemical composition change nor the polymer chain breaking was observable after femtosecond laser irradiation. We believe that this laser direct writing technique opens a new door to the fabrication of more efficient OPVs via non-contact, toxic-free approach.

Voice Command systems are important means of ensuring accessibility to digital devices for use in situations where both hands are not free or for people with disabilities. Interests in services using speech recognition technology have been increasing. In this study, we developed a mobile writing application using voice recognition and voice command technology which helps people create and edit documents easily. This application is characterized by the minimization of the touch on the screen and the writing of memo by voice. We have systematically designed a mode to distinguish voice writing and voice command so that the writing and execution system can be used simultaneously in one voice interface. It provides a shortcut function that can control the cursor by voice, which makes document editing as convenient as possible. This allows people to conveniently access writing applications by voice under both physical and environmental constraints.

A newly developed flexible active-matrix (AM-) electrophoretic display (EPD) is reported. The AM-EPD features: (1) low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) thin film transistor (TFT) technology, (2) fully integrated scan- and data-drivers, (3) flexibility and light-weight realized by transferring the whole circuits onto a plastic substrate using $SUFTLA^{TM}$ (Surface Free Technology by Laser Annealing/Ablation) process. A large storage capacitor is formed in each pixel so that driving electric field can be kept sufficiently strong during a writing period Two-phase driving scheme, a reset-phase which erases a previous image and a writing-phase for writing a new image, was chosen to cope with EPD's high driving voltage. The flexible AM-EPD has been successfully operated with a driving voltage of 8.5 V.

This paper compares the French Gustave Flaubert (1821-1880) and the Vietnamese Vũ Trọng Phụng (1912-1939), and explores transformations of their aesthetic experiences that led to the autonomization of French literary field in the nineteenth century and Vietnamese in the early twentieth century. Inspired from the term "archive" coined by Michel Foucault, this article argues that Flaubert, in abandoning the bourgeois tastes, contested realism and built his own writing ideology and style, which is called subjective realism. On the other hand, it also argues that Vũ Trọng Phụng, through the popular report genre, he gained success and evolved his own novel writing style, aptly called the realism of speech. It is ostensible that the transformation in the two authors' writing style and aesthetic experience was derived from the way they distanced themselves from their contemporaries' common tastes while making use of free indirect speeches, all with the aim of granting readers the autonomy of reading.

목적 : 모바일 언어를 주 의사소통으로 사용하는 작업치료 전공 대학생들에게 글쓰기 프로그램을 적용하여 그 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 대학교 신입생 7명에게 주 1회, 2시간씩 총 10회기 동안 글쓰기 프로그램을 진행하고 추천된 도서를 읽은 후 독후감으로 총 2회 원고지 작성을 하게 한 후 첨삭 지도를 실시하였다. 글쓰기 프로그램을 통한 글쓰기 전략에 대한 변화는 자가 설문지를 사용하였고 원고지 작성에 대한 변화는 첨삭 지도 횟수를 확인하였다. 결과 : 자가 설문 결과 참여자들은 글쓰기 프로그램 참여 후 글의 논리적인 면이나 글의 일관성을 생각하게 되었고 글을 쓴 후 문법적인 면을 검토하고 문장을 수정하게 되었다는 내용의 문항에서 통계적으로 유의한 변화를 보였다. 첨삭 지도 횟수도 1차 첨삭 지도 횟수보다 2차 첨삭 지도 횟수가 평균 7회 이상 줄어들었다. 결론 : 작업치료사에게 중요한 직무 중 하나인 문서 작성을 위해 보다 논리적이고 문법적인 면에서 오류가 없는 글을 작성하기 위한 체계적인 교육이 필요할 것이다.

Under the influence of postmodernism, modern writing tends to refuse an immediate conveyance of messages achieved by linear, unified writing. Such writing does not attempt any social participation and has no leading ethics, offering diverse perspectives. It simply relies on material property ignoring the 'here and now'. This discussion depends on the sensuous immediacy of works that are pure and uninterpretable, causing the "death of author" phenomena. Although the time was late, since the 1990s, discussion and work on deconstructive theater has been executed in the Korean theater world. This deconstructive work was achieved when lineal narratives were shattered through the shocking insertion of fragmentary episodes and imagery. Moreover, such plays were shocking presentations of severance in conversation; lack of communication; loss of pride and love; and a world devastated by violence and madness. In the 2000s, such a movement helped form a new paradigm in the theater through reinterpretation and parody of traditional dramas, while drawing general attention to postmodern theater. However, as the problems of postmodern theater are perceived through study, the limit of plays with a postmodern tendency is pointed out: such plays merely display 'deconstruction'. This thesis will examine reflective thought on postmodern theater seeking "deconstruction without alternatives" and the aesthetic concept of "le politique" by Jacques Ranciere. It will also look through the overlap of images as interval-estrangement, "lettre morte", and simulacre representing mise-en-scene aesthetics weaving "political writing". This study is meaningful in that it tries to extend the new aesthetic horizon of Korean theater, examining in 2009 and by Koh Sun-Woong in 2011, directed by Park Chung-Hee in 2010 and directed by Park Keun-Hyung in 2009.
