파괴 인성치 $J_{IC}$의 결정 방법에 관한 연구 (A Method to Determine the Fracture Toughness $J_{IC}$)

  • 본 연구에서는 균열 길이의 별도 측정없이, 하중변위 곡선에서 직접 $J_{IC}$를 결정하는 방법을 제안하고 그 타당성을 조사한다. 또한 키이 곡선(key curve)을 이용하여 $J_{IC}$를 좀더 간단하게 구하는 방법에 대해서도 알아본다. 위의 방법으 로 결정된 $J_{IC}$의 값은 ASTM에 의해 제안된 R-곡선 방법으로 고한 $J_{IC}$의 값 과 비교된다. 본 연구의 타당성을 조사하기 위하여 기계 구조용합금강인 SCM4를 사 용한 파괴 실험을 수행한다.

  • Fracture toughness database system was developed with Visual Foxpro 6.0 and operates in MS Windows environment. The database system contains 10,278 sets of $K_{IC}$ data, 7,046 sets of $K_{C}$ data, 784 sets of $J_{IC}$ data, 571 sets of CTOD data, 62 sets of $K_{a}$ data and 26 sets of $K_{Id}$ data. The data were collected from JSMS(Society of Material Science, Japan) fracture toughness data book and USAF(United States Air Force) crack growth database. In addition, the database was applied to predicting $K_{IC}$ from tensile material properties using artificial neural networks.

가스배관재의 탄소성파괴인성에 미치는 측면홈 영향 (Effect of Side Groove on the Elastic Plastic Fracture Toughness of Gas Piping Material)

  • SG-365 steel is an important material and used for manufacturing a pressure vessel which the gas piping. In this investigation, the elastic plastic fracture toughness of this material is evaluated by the an unloading compliance method according to the ATM E813-97 method on the smooth and side groove 1CT specimens. The effect of smooth and side groove is studied on the elastic plastic fracture toughness. The side grooved specimen is very useful in estimation of the $J_IC. Because it is much easier than the smooth specimen to the onset of the ductile tearing by the R curve method. Besides, it improves the accuracy of toughness values, decreases the scattering of them and tunneling and shear lip by the side groove.

  • 금속재료의 탄소성파괴인성치 측정을 위해서 ASTM E399 시험법에 따라 단순 인장 시험편을 사용하여 유한요소해석을 하였으며 여기에서 얻어진 하중-균열개구변위 곡선을 이용하여 균열개시점을 찾고 이 점에서의 파괴인성치 $J_{IC}$를 구하였다. 탄소성 파괴인성치 J 값은 J 적분법 및 M. K. Tseng등에 의해서 제안된 계산식을 이용하여 구하였다. 해석된 값의 검증을 위해서 고강도 저합금강인 AISI 4130 재료를 이용한 기존 실험값과 비교하였으며 그 결과는 잘 일치함을 알 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 마르텐사이트-페라이트 복합조직강의 파괴인성평가법을 확립하 기 위하여 불균질의 대표적 인자인 페라이트 결정입경 및 마르텐사이트의 강도를 변화 시켜 R곡선법과 SZ법에 의해 파괴인성을 평가하고, SZ법에 의한 $J_{IC}$ 의 과대평가 정 도와 이에 대한 원인을 규명하기 위하여 균열선단의 미시파괴거동을 검토하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 AE법에 의해 J$_{IC}$를 결정하는 것은 Takahashi등의 방법을 따르되 AE 실험결과를 토대로 이론을 전개하여 재료의 물성 곡선인 J-R곡선의 실험식과 재료 찢어짐 계수를 계산할 수 있는 실험식을 유도하며, 이렇게 구한 실험식을 불안정 파괴 조건에 적용하여 그 타당성을 검토한다.다.

  • Fracture toughness defined near the initiation of stable crack growth is investigated by R-curve and Direct Current electric Potential Determination(DCPD) under mode I plane strain conditions for CT specimen with 25.4mm thickness of SS400 steel. Fracture toughness. $J_{IC}$lit near crack tip of CT specimen by R-curve is 17.14 $kg_{f}/mm$ and however. its value by DCPD is 22.82 $Rg_{f} mm$ The value of fracture toughness by DCPD is larger than that by R-curve. Therefore, it is suggested that the evaluation of fracture toughness by R-curve is optimum than by DCPD, when considering amount of crack growth about each of fracture toughness.

  • Reduced activation ferritic steel, JLF-1 steel (Fe-9Cr-2W-V-Ta), is one of the promising candidate materials for fusion reactor applications. Fracture toughness ($J_IC$) and tensile tests were carried out at room temperature and elevated temperature ($400^{\circ}C$). Two types of CT specimen were prepared to examine the effect of rolling direction on the fracture toughness of JLF-1 steel. Four types of tensile specimen were also prepared to investigate the property by the rolling direction and welding. The Micro Vickers hardness was measured at various distances of a cross section of the TIG joints of JLF-1 steel according to the heating history of each position. Finally, the fracture surface was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
