The conventional fractal image compression based on discrete wavelet transform uses the fixed block size in fractal coding and reduces PSNR at low bit rate. This paper proposes a fractal image coding based on discrete wavelet transform which improves PSNR by using variable block size in fractal coding. In the proposed method. the absolute values of discrete wavelet transform coefficients are computed. and the discrete wavelet transform coefficients of different highpass subbands corresponding to the same spatial block are assembled. and the fractal code for the range block of each range block level is assigned. and then a decision tree C. the set of choices among fractal coding. "0" encoding. and scalar quantization is generated and a set of scalar quantizers q is chosen. And then the wavelet coefficients. fractal codes. and the choice items in the decision tree are entropy coded by using an adaptive arithmetic coder. This proposed method improved PSNR at low bit rate and could achieve a blockless reconstructed image. As the results of experiment. the proposed method obtained better PSNR and higher compression ratio than the conventional fractal coding method and wavelet transform coding.rm coding.

Treeing has a profit to observe processing electrical breakdown because it gives degradation steps of insulation material by optical method. But, reappearance properly of treeing is not so good and precise quantization of tree growth is not so easy because tree Patterns are very complicate. The study on tree growth using image processing is predicted to precision of tree degradation and possible to quality measurement of tree pattern. In this paper, degradation steps are analyzed by image processing, therefore precision and realiability of tree growth are increased. Also, processing of tree degradation is quantized by fractal.

There are many image segmentation methods having been published as the results of research so far, but it is difficult to be partitioned to each similar range that should be extracted into the accurate parameters of image information on the images with noises. Also if it is used to fractal coding, according to amount of noise in image, the image segmentation leads to decreasing of the compression ratio. In this paper, we propose the new quad-tree image segmentation using the box-counting dimension which can estimate the effective image information parameters against the noise properties and apply this method to fractal image coding. As the result of simulation, we confirm that the image segmentation is improved to 31.10% for parameter detection of image information and compression ratio is enhanced to 38.93% for fractal image coding when tested on 10% Gaussian white noise image by the proposed quad-tree method compared with method using existing quad-tree.
Wind damage of urban trees arises to be a serious issue especially in the typhoon-prone areas. As a family of tree species widely-planted in Southeast China, the structural behaviors of Plane tree is investigated. In order to accommodate the complexities of tree morphology, a fractal theory based finite element modeling method is proposed. On-site measurement of Plane trees is performed for physical definition of structural parameters. It is revealed that modal frequencies of Plane trees distribute in a manner of grouped dense-frequencies; bending is the main mode of structural failure. In conjunction with the probability density evolution method, the fragility assessment of urban trees subjected to wind excitations is then proceeded. Numerical results indicate that small-size segments such as secondary branches feature a relatively higher failure risk in a low wind level, and a relatively lower failure risk in a high wind level owing to windward shrinks. Besides, the trunk of Plane tree is the segment most likely to be damaged than other segments in case of high winds. The failure position tends to occur at the connection between trunk and primary branches, where the logical protections and reinforcement measures can be implemented for mitigating the wind damage.
This study is on the consideration of the scope of application of art therapy and fractal through the review of literature at home and abroad. The complex system is the opposite of the Euclidean system, a concept suitable for understanding the contemporaries with ambiguous boundaries and decentralized phenomena. The self-similarity and inventiveness of fractal, the geometry of nature, is used as fractal art in art as well as tree trunk, cloud and plant, especially in art therapy, fractal is considered to be available in the field of mandala and neuroscience. From brain-based research to mandala, exposure to natural patterns, clinical diagnosis through fractal analysis and software development, fractal has potential elements that can be developed in art therapy. Fractal, which is easy to link with computers due to its nature, is a necessary study at this point when non-face-to-face contact with the Corona virus is recommended. Currently, research on fractal art therapy is insufficient in Korea. Therefore, this research is intended to present as a basis for scientific and objective diagnostic tools and treatment at clinical sites using art therapy using fractal.
Automatic detection system to detect acoustic emission pulse and fractal dimension were developed, to observe tree deterioration phenomena in LDPE. The purpose of our work are to use acoustic emission system and fractal dimension and to investigate the treeing phenomena in polymeric insulation under applied AC voltage 11[kV] with an artificial needle-shaped void(1.5[mm]) using the above system. We analyzed and phase angle-acoustic emission pulse amplitude-deterioration time ($\Phi$-AEA-t) pattern and phase angle-acoustic emission pulse number-deterioration time($\Phi$-AEN-t) pattern using statistical operators such as skewness, fractal dimension. In this paper show that the correlation of $\Phi$-AEA-t, $\Phi$-AEN-t, fractal dimension using regression analysis by the method of least squares can be used to predict the breakdown just before the breakdown occurs.

In this paper we propose a method that improves PSNR at low bit rate and reduces computational complexity in fractal image coding based on discrete wavelet transform. The proposed method, which uses significant coefficient tree, improves PSNR of the reconstructed image and reduces computational comlexity of mapping domain block onto range block by matching only the significant coefficients of range block to coefficients of domain block. Also, the proposed method reduces error propagation form lower resolution subbands to higher resolution subbands by correcting error of lower resolution subbands. Some experimental results confirm that the proposed method reduces encoding and decoding time significantly and has fine reconstructed images having no blocking effect and clear edges at low bit rate.

The Tree observation technique is being highlighted as a research area for deterioration of insulation because of high-voltage power system. For the measurement of tree, image processing is actively studied as a experimental technique of electrical tree, because the conventional directed visual method is impossible to analyze on tree degradation area and tree pattern. In this paper, we have developed the tree measuring system using image processing. By using an image processing technique, the treeing can be easily measured and effectively observed.
