Fourier 변환을 이용한 ZnCdSe 전이점 연구 (Study on critical point of ZnCdSe by using Fourier analysis)

  • 타원편광분석법은 반도체 물질의 광 특성과 전이점 연구에 유용하게 쓰이는 기술이다. 측정된 유전율 함수로부터 전이점을 구하기 위해서 전통적으로 이차 미분스펙트럼을 이용하여 분석하는데, 이 방법은 high frequency 의 잡음을 크게 증폭시키는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 역 공간 푸리에 변환 (Fourier transform)을 이용하여 low-, medium-, high-index 의 푸리에 계수로부터 baseline, 정보, high frequency 잡음을 분리하는 방법을 소개하고자 한다. 이 방법을 이용하여 광전자소자에 폭넓게 사용되는 ZnCdSe 화합물 반도체의 $E_1,\;E_1+{\Delta}_1$ 전이점에 대한 연구를 하여 전통적인 이차 미분법과 비교해 보았다.

Three-dimensional dynamics of the moving load acting on the interior of the hollow cylinder surrounded by the elastic medium

  • This paper studies the non-axisymmetric 3D problem on the dynamics of the moving load acting in the interior of the hollow cylinder surrounded with elastic medium and this study is made by utilizing the exact equations of elastodynamics. It is assumed that in the interior of the cylinder the point located with respect to the cylinder axis moving forces act and the distribution of these forces is non-axisymmetric and is located within a certain central angle. The solution to the problem is based on employing the moving coordinate method, on the Fourier transform with respect to the spatial coordinate indicated by the distance of the point on the cylinder axis from the point at which the moving load acts, and on the Fourier series presentation of the Fourier transforms of the sought values. Numerical results on the critical moving velocity and on the distribution of the interface normal and shear stresses are presented and discussed. In particular, it is established that the non-axisymmetricity of the moving load can decrease significantly the values of the critical velocity.

Numerical modeling of dynamic compaction process in dry sands considering critical distance from adjacent structures

  • Dynamic compaction (DC) is a useful method for improvement of granular soils. The method is based on falling a tamper (weighting 5 to 40 ton) from the height of 15 to 30 meters on loose soil that results in stress distribution, vibration of soil particles and desirable compaction of the soil. Propagation of the waves during tamping affects adjacent structures and causes structural damage or loss of performance. Therefore, determination of the safe or critical distance from tamping point to prevent structural hazards is necessary. According to FHWA, the critical distance is defined as the limit of a particle velocity of 76 mm/s. In present study, the ABAQUS software was used for numerical modeling of DC process and determination of the safe distance based on particle velocity criterion. Different variables like alluvium depth, relative density, and impact energy were considered in finite element modeling. It was concluded that for alluvium depths less than 10 m, reflection of the body waves from lower boundaries back to the soil and resonance phenomenon increases the critical distance. However, the critical distance decreases for alluvium depths more than 10 m. Moreover, it was observed that relative density of the alluvium does not significantly influence the critical distance value.

CCD 영상에서의 실시간 자동 표적 탐지 알고리즘 (Real-Time Automatic Target Detection in CCD image)

  • 본 논문에서는 CCD(charge-coupled device) 영상 기반의 자동 표적 탐지 시스템(ATD System : Automatic Target Detection System)에 적합한 빠른 탐색 방법을 제안한다. 무기체계에서의 활용을 위해서는 빠른 연산이 주요한 변수인 만큼 이 논문에서는 적은 계산량으로 다양한 표적을 탐지할 수 있는 능력에 주안점을 두고 있다. 표적 훈련(train)단계에서는 구간별 수직 방향 프로젝션을 이용하여 1D의 템플릿을 구성하고 K-means clustering과 이진 트리 구조(binary tree structure)를 활용하여 실제 시험 단계에서 템플릿 정합하는 횟수를 최소화한다. 또한 Correlation-based Adaptive Predictive Search(CAPS)를 이용하여 각각의 템플릿에 적응적인 skip-width를 사용하여 탐색 속도를 높이고 클러터 제거 단계에서는 윤곽선으로부터 추출한 Fourier Descriptor계수를 비교함으로써 초기 탐지에서 타겟으로 오인된 클러터를 모양 정보에 기반해서 제거하는 방법을 사용한다.
