  • Walking mechanism, there are many types. Prior to the modeling and design, we thought about a variety of mechanisms based on the Janssen mechanism to design a walking mechanism optimized for walking. The more the legs increases the stability of the structure, while the weight is heavy and if that advantage had the disadvantage, the legs are easier to walk in the utilization and structural aspects of the torque had fewer advantages. The disadvantage is that the instability mechanism, four-legged, but improve it and look forward to the idea of utilization and cost-effectiveness, its future utilization will be endless. To study this, we utilized a variety of software, such as m-sketch, Edison design program, we have seen the actual production through scientific experiments box.

  • This paper deals with a manipulability analysis of multi-legged walking robots in acceleration domain, that is the dynamic manipulability analysis of walking robot. Noting that the kinematic structure of the walking robot is basically the same with that of the multiple serial robot system holding one object, the analysis method for cooperating robot is converted to that of walking robot. With the proposed method, the bound of achievable acceleration of the moving body is easily derived from the given bounds on the capabilities of Joint torques. Several walking robot examples are analyzed with proposed method under the assumption of hard contact, and presented in the paper to validate the method.

  • Automatic washing machines have been improved and popularized steadily since the first electric washing machine was produced in the early 1900's. Appliance industry has tried to obtain the performance of washing machine with large capacity, high energy efficiency, low vibration and low noise levels. As the installation peace of a washer becomes closer to the living space, vibration and noise problems become more important challenges. In general, a washing machine has four legs to support its body. Four legs of the washing machine should be attached on a floor. If not so, it may cause severe vibration or walking in the spin-drying process. Unfortunately, the floor of an ordinary house is bumpy in general, and the consumers will not accept bolting washing machines to a foundation; moreover, sometimes they move the location of their washing machines to utility rooms or bath rooms or kitchens and don't care for leveling the legs exactly. In this study, we devise an auto-leg system that prevents the occurrence of abnormal vibration and walking of washing machines. It is simply composed of a spring and a friction damper. Some experiments are implemented to show the dynamic characteristics of the three-dimensional auto-legged washing machine model that is located on the even or uneven ground. A spring parameter is optimized to adjust the length of the auto-leg system automatically up to 10 mm irregularity, and the friction damper is designed to decrease a resonance induced by the spring of the auto-leg system. Some numerical results show that placing the proposed auto-leg system in a washing machine makes good performance with low vibration, as well as low noise, regardless of the unevenness of the floor.

  • In this study, a robot is implemented in H/W based on four-bar linkage mechanism and Jansen mechanism. Our goal is to finish the given path using given terms. The various programs was used to understand the mechanism in more detail. DISON m.Sketch, EDISON Designer, Theo Jansen Mechanism Optimization Solver. Using these programs, we can design the robot in more dtails and reduce errors and trials. For the design and implementation of a robot, it is need to get joint variable, a foot point, and their relation. Thus, the proposed kinematic analysis is very important process for the design and implementation of legged robots.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the applicability and limitations of SPOT robots in the construction industry. The SPOT robot, which is being introduced to construction sites for smart construction with the progress of the 4th industrial revolution, is shaped like a four-legged dog and is equipped with various sensors for data collection and autonomous driving. In this study, hardware and software were analyzed, such as the size of the SPOT robot, mobility on slopes and heights, operating environment, and software functions that can collect data with a sensor weighing up to 14 kg. In addition, while the SPOT robot operates in a construction environment, performance such as stability, accuracy, signal connection distance, and obstacle avoidance are evaluated, and the applicability and limitations of the SPOT robot in the construction industry are analyzed. Based on this analysis, the purpose of this study is to evaluate when and how SPOT robots can be effectively used at construction sites, identify limitations, and derive contributions and improvements for the construction industry.
