The past decade has witnessed an unprecedented boom in tall and supertall building construction worldwide (Wood, 2011). Because of their massive bulk and soaring height, tall buildings often create serious placemaking problems. Employing extensive photographs and sketches, this paper examines architectural and urban design strategies that improve placemaking with tall buildings. The paper embraces a comprehensive approach that considers the relationship of tall buildings to their surroundings at the macro and micro scales. It also considers non-physical factors that tall buildings need to address, such as the social life the building creates. It is hoped that the placemaking factors discussed in this article will provide the required groundwork for future research that explores regulations and codes that foster placemaking with tall buildings.

Constitution declares culture is area that without any interference from the state space, and so creates each person creative energy. It is a typical movie in culture. The film will be referred to as an important expression form as well as high value-added industries of cultural creativity of ethnic communities. Intervention of the state is necessary that by competing mechanisms of diverse opinions and ideas caused harm. State intervention is only to be operated at a minimum. The vulgarity causes young people have impulsive tendencies and affects adults adversely on on issues, regulation is possible for children and youth protection. This paper aims to suggest a new legislative measure about the legal principles of vulgarity regulation to solve this kind of problem efficiently. Some standard allowed vulgarity regulation on the principles of control.

This study sought to examine preservice teachers' beliefs about their intent to use computers and Internet resources in mathematics classrooms. Also, web-based instruction on topics in elementary school mathematics was used to foster teachers' confidence and competence in using instructional technology, thereby promoting positive attitudes toward use of computers and Internet resources in the mathematics classroom. The results indicated that students who participated in the web-based instructions exhibited a significantly (p < 0.05) better attitude toward using computers and web-based resources in teaching mathematics than did students in the control group.

It is the purpose of this paper to review the recent developments and future trends in various membrane processes, which will result in energy savings. Historically, there was a long period of academic curiosity in membrane research covering from gas separation to reverse osmosis. With advent of asymmetric membrane technology, many membrane processes proved to be energy efficient than the conventional separation methods. Thus, membrane technology has gained wide acceptance from many sectors of industry. The commercial sale of membranes is still modest compared to the major technologies, but it is one of the fastest growing industries. Recently the U.S.Department of Energy conducted a study (1) to evaluate and prioritize research needs in the membrane separation industry in order to foster and better support the deveolpment of energy-efficient new technologies. The National Science Foundation (U.S.A.) did also do a similar investigation. Both agencies have arrived neary at the same conclusion, that is, membrane separations can offer many new and alternative methods of separations that are more energy efficient than existing processes. This paper is largely based on these findings.

In modern orthodontics, the most emphasized problems are, as Bjork said in his literature, how to control entirely the growth and development and conservation of teeth: how to diminish the damages of orthodontic treament to the teeth. As a solution of these problems Bjork introduced the method of early orthodontic diagnosis. The study of occlusion of primary dentition has two main purposes: 1. To observe the change of occlusion as age increases. 2. To predict the change of occlusion to make early diagnosis possible. From early nineteeth century, Bogue (1908) started the study of occlusion of primary dentition, followed by Bonnar (1956-1960), Kisling (1973-1976), Ravn 1975), Foster (1969), Moyer (1969), etc. These studies have been used in the diagnosis of preventive orthodontics. In Korea, the study of occlusion of primary dentition was started in 1977. The second study was reported in 1978. Through the third report in 1979, author will introduce sagittal relation in the canine and incisor regions of Korean children.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the design guidance of education facilities by analysing Alvaro Siza's education facilities of which considered having idiosyncratic spatial characteristics. Focusing on the his planning of learning and transitional space of education facilities, this study aims at eliciting the spatial characteristics of his architecture. In doing so, this study tries to figure out his basic method of reification of his basic architectural concept which is articulated in learning space and transitional space of education facilities by introducing the boundary element and penetration of light in order to support student's learning activity and foster abundant cognitive experiences. Therefore, this study presents the feasible supplementary design method for future education facilities to be appropriate not just for quantitative factors, but for qualititative aspects such as user's psychological fulfillment, and emotional satisfaction.

The use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is currently widespread and appears to be growing. As an increasing proportion of the population turns to CAM therapies, whether singly or in combination with allopathic medicine, the need for quality research in this area is reinforced. Much of this research consists of clinical studies aim ed primarily at clinicians, yet challenges arising from poor methodological quality will occur w hen interpreting study findings and their implications. For clinicians to be effective consumers of the scientific literature, familiarization with the principles of evidence based medicine (EBM) is essential. The goal of this review is to introduce clinicians to the concept of critical appraisal of clinical studies and foster critical thinking when reading research articles in order to best evaluate and incorporate study findings into their daily practice.

초 중 고등학교 수학영재를 대상으로 하는 수학수업의 모델로, 수학수업을 진행하는 과정에서 수학영재의 지적 호기심을 유도하는 발문과 이에 대한 학생들의 반응, 그리고 내용 구성 방법에 대한 연구이다. 수업 중 제시되는 각 개념은 기초에서 심화에 이르는 위계적 구조로 제시되며, 교사는 심화 발문을 통해 학생들의 개념에 대한 이해 정도를 단계별로 높인다. 본 연구에서는 교사의 이와 같은 발문과 학생들의 발문에 의해 이루어지는 영재수업의 모델을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.

Fairy-tales give students opportunities to build connections between a problem-solving situation and mathematics as well as to communicate solutions through writing, symbols, and diagrams. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to introduce how to use fairy-tales in elementary mathematics classroom in order to develope student's mathematical concepts and process in terms of the following areas: ⑴ reconstructing literature ⑵ understanding concepts ⑶ problem posing activity. To be useful, mathematics should be taught in contexts that are meaningful and relevant to learners. Therefore using fairy-tales as a vehicle to teach mathematics gives students a chance to develope mathematics understanding in a natural, meaningful way, and to enhance problem posing and problem solving ability. Further, future study will continue to foster how fairy-tales literatures will enhance children's mathematics knowledge and influence on their mathematics performance.
