A study on analysis of thermal and electrical parameters of the ZnO arrester block (배전용 ZnO 피뢰기 소자의 열적/전기적 파라미터 분석에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the thermal and electrical characteristics of ZnO arrester blocks under the AC voltages. The leakage currents of ZnO arrester blocks were measured as a function of time. The temperature distributions of ZnO arrester blocks were observed by the forward looking infrared camera The degradation and thermal runaway of ZnO arrester blocks were closely related with the temperature limit of ZnO arrester blocks which decided heat generation and dissipation As a result, the degradation and thermal runaway of ZnO arrester blocks depend on the temperature and leakage current of ZnO arrester blocks.

  • Research and technology development is an ongoing, iterative process that must be both forward looking and flexible enough to address new needs. The railway technical researches are key to making railway operations safer and more secure, reducing delays, reducing costs, raising effective capacity, improving customer satisfaction, improving energy utilization, reducing emissions, and becoming more economically viable. The railway technical research and development projects can be implemented as independent systems, in which case their benefits will be limited, or they can be implemented as integrated systems, in which case the benefits will be compounded. But the overall objectives of railway technical researches are to provide the railway system with technology which includes increasing quality and boosting productivity.

  • This paper presents an algorithm capable of detecting leading vehicles using a forward-looking camera. In fact, the accurate measurements of the contact locations of vehicles with road surface are prerequisites for the intelligent vehicle technologies based on a monocular vision. Relying on multistage processing of relevant edge features to the hypothesis generation of a vehicle, the proposed algorithm creates candidate positions being the left and right boundaries of vehicles, and searches for pairs to be vehicle boundaries from the potential positions by evaluating horizontal symmetry. The proposed algorithm is proven to be successful by experiments performed on images acquired by a moving vehicle.

  • According to the Labor Standard Law in Japan which was enacted after World War II in 1947, all work hours for adult men, women, and youth were set at a maximum of eight hours per day and forty-eight hours per week. In other words, a six-day work week, with only one-day off, was set. Now we are in the full five-day and two-day off school system. The five-day school week influences on our home life. Students are highly enthused by the new system, in looking forward to their personal time they now have to play with friends, to relax, or just watch TV. To implement this new five-day school system positively and effectively, we should see the point at issue related to the two-day off system from a different angle, which suggests that we should see far ahead into the future.

  • 전방감지용 밀리미터파 레이더는 밀리미터파를 이용하여 자동차 등에 부착하여 송신파와 수신파 사이의 도플러 주파수 편이를 이용하여 선행차량 또는 전방의 장애물과의 거리와 상대속도를 판별하는 장치로서 적응형 순항제어 시스템(adaptive cruise control system) 등에 이용되는 핵심 기술이다. 적응형 순항제어 시스템이란 레이더 센서를 통하여 전방 선행 차량, 장애물의 속도 및 거리를 측정하여 차량의 충돌 경고, 주행 상황에 따른 자동적인 감속 및 가속, 정속 등 안전주행을 가능하도록 하는 기술이다. 본 기술 동향 분석보고서는 전방감지용 레이더 센서에 관한 기술 동향을 살펴보기 위하여 미국, EU, 일본, 한국의 전방감지용 레이더 센서에 관한 특허를 1991년부터 2005년까지의 특허출원을 중심으로 연도별 추이와 국가별 특허출원 동향, 출원인별 특허출원 동향 등을 분석하여 전방감지용 레이더의 세계 기술 추이에 대하여 알아보았다.

  • 기존의 전방감시 소나는 일반적으로 2D로 구성되었으며 점과 선, 면으로 구성된다. 하지만 고속선박을 위한 3D 감시 소나 시스템을 위해서는 입체적인 객체출력까지 고려해야 하며 수집된 데이터를 가상공간에 출력하기 위해서는 일련의 작업을 거쳐 재 가공된 3D 가상공간을 모니터를 통해 투영하게 된다. 3D 전방감시를 위한 소프트웨어를 개발하며 고려되었던 사항들을 이 논문에서 소개한다.

Moving Forward in Space Plasma Physics

  • Space physics is more than fifty years old and is going through middle age. Looking back and thinking about what has been learned during the past fifty years, one finds that progress was made at the expense of exactness. Past observations have been interpreted using theory with unreal assumptions. Theory and models must be testable, verifiable and consistent with observations. Current theory cannot explain many important observational results that are relevant for understanding how space plasmas work. This talk will examine the current model of space plasma and assess its capabilities. We will then discuss the required level of theory and models that should be developed to advance space physics to the next tier.

  • A recently constructed commercial ship is a complexive integrated system like a small city in which has a generator, power distributing facilities, various radio equipments and high power circuit breakers are installed. Therfore it could make a malfunction of the microprocessor in the various control units which are so important during the ocean voyage of larger ship. This paper has studied whether is properly required or not on the view of the actual electro magnetic compatibility status on the electromagnetic interference and suceptibility test requirments listed on the IACS (International Association of the Classification Society). Through these results, we are looking forward to the new suggestions of the Electro Magnetic Compatibility test in order to reduce the malfunction in the ship regarding test item, test level, and test condition.

  • This is concerned with the development and design of automatic maneuvering system using Differential Global Positioning System(DGPS). To achievement of autonomous maneuvering controller for giant ship, first, we investigated automatic maneuvering controller using DGPS in motor car. The sensors are configured with DGPS and digital compass. We calculated velocity and steering angle of motor car based on sensor signal. To design the controller, we derived the bicycle model and developed critically damped controller. The critically damped controller can be tracing previously appointed position in the fastest time. We are used a laptop computer to realize and the control algorithm is programmed by visual basic software. The obtained experimental results from developed system show unmanned motor car is good tracing planed positions. Hence, the system is looking forward to use the autonomous maneuvering control fur giant ship.

  • 본 논문은 중심화 이론을 바탕으로 한국어에서 전향적 중심의 서열을 설정하는데 그 목적이 있다. 선행 연구들에서 전향적 중심 서열에 포함시킨 요인들 즉, '주어, 주제, 공감도'를 중심으로 이들 사이의 선호도, 또는 서열에 대한 면밀한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 그 요인들 사이의 서열을 비교하는 데에 적합한 담화를 고안한 후 이를 설문 조사를 하였고, 그 결과를 분석하였다. 아울러 본 연구에서는 중심화 이론에서 제안하는 '추이 상태'와 함께 중심으로 해석되는 경향을 고려하였다. 이를 통해 '주제 > 주어 > 목적어'의 전향적 중심 서 열을 얻었다. 또한, 화 청자를 전향적 중심의 서열 설정에 포함시키는 선행 연구를 검토하면서, 화 청자를 포함시키는 대신 담화 분절의 가능성을 제안하는 바이다.
