외식산업 음식물쓰레기의 효율적인 처리방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effective Handling of Food Garbage in Foodservice Industry)

  • The handling of food garbage should be effectively accomplished to strengthen national competitive power, conserve the environment and improve the public health. But the study of this subject left much to be desired. So we studied about present situation, specific character and decreasing method of food garbage and practical application of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point(HACCP) system to handling of food garbage. Actually eight trillion won per year which corresponds to the one fifth of the debt from international monetary found(IMF) as these day's exchange rate was wasted by the form of food garbage, so the government should have willing of support the revenue source of investment to develop and accomplish the effective handling of food garbage. National public relations(P.R.) into improvement of eating and drinking culture and enlightenment of environment movement will be needed. Under the organic cooperation of industrial, academic, government circles, active studies should be accomplished. we hope this study can be used as the basal material of filed of handling of food garbage.

  • With the Sunshine policy, exchange of materials and cultures inter Koreas has been broadened and expectancy of reunification is getting higher. Especially, medical supplies and medicines are one of the biggest parts in the exchange goods. So, preparing an unified official drug standard preparing new medical administration system is required. We compared the Korean pharmacopoeia with North Korean Pharmacopoeia. Two pharmacopoeias have been developed in different direction and have many differences in the nomenclature and format. In this study, we compared general notices, general rules for preparations and crude drugs, monographs, general tests, processes and apparatus.

Individualized diabetes nutrition education improves compliance with diet prescription

  • This study was designed to evaluate the effect of individualized diabetes nutrition education. The nutrition education program was open to all type 2 diabetes patients visiting the clinic center and finally 67 patients agreed to join the program. To compare with 67 education group subjects, 34 subjects were selected by medical record review. The education program consisted of one class session for 1-2 hours long in a small group of 4~5 patients. A meal planning using the food exchange system was provided according to the diet prescription and food habits of each subject. Measurements of clinical outcomes and dietary intakes were performed at baseline and 3 months after the education session. After 3 months, subjects in education group showed improvement in dietary behavior and food exchange knowledge. In education group, intakes of protein, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin $B_2$, and folate per 1,000 kcal/day were significantly increased and cholesterol intake was significantly decreased. They also showed significant reductions in body weight, body mass index (BMI), and fasting blood concentrations of glucose (FBS), HbA1c, total cholesterol, and triglyceride. However, no such improvements were observed in control group. To evaluate telephone consultation effect, after the nutrition education session, 34 subjects of the 67 education group received telephone follow-up consultation once a month for 3 months. The others (33 subjects) had no further contact after the nutrition education session. Subjects in the telephone follow-up group showed a decrease in BMI, FBS, and HbA1c. Moreover, the subjects who did not receive telephone follow-up also showed significant decreases in BMI and FBS. These results indicated that our individually planned education program for one session was effective in rectifying dietary behavior problems and improving food exchange knowledge, and quality of diet, leading to an improvement in the clinical outcomes. In conclusion, our individualized nutrition education was effective in adherence to diet recommendation and in improving glycemic control and lipid concentrations, while follow-up by telephone helped to encourage the adherence to diet prescription.

감잎차 추출액의 Sister Chromatid Exchange(SCE) 방법에 따른 항돌연변이 효과 (Antimutagenic Effects of Persimmon Leaf tea Extracts in Sister Chromatid Exchanges(SCE) Assay System)

  • 돌연변이 유발 물질인 mitomycin C(MMC)를 처리하여 배양한 Chinese hamster ovary(CHO) cell에 대한 감잎차 추출액의 항돌연변이 효과를 자매 염색 분체 교환(sister chromatid exchange, SCE) 시험법을 사용하여 측정하여 보았다. 감잎차 추출액 자체는 CHO 세포의 SCE 빈도수를 변화시키지 않았으며, 세포의 분열 주기중 S phase에 S9 mixture 없이 감잎차 추출액이 처리되었을 경우 MMC로 유도된 SCE 빈도수를 감소시키지 않았다. 그러나 S9 mixture 존재하에 $G_{1}$ phase에서 MMC 처리 후 감잎차를 처리하는 후처리 방식으로 감잎차 추출액을 처리하였을 때, 저농도($\leq$40$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml)에서 MMC로 인해 유발된 SCE 빈도수가 낮아지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이에 비해 고농도(>40$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml)에서는 SCE 빈도수의 감소 효과가 없었다. 본 연구결과, MMC 처리된 CHO 세포에 대한 감잎차 추출액의 항돌연변이 효과를 볼 수 있었고, 이 효과는 S9 mixture 존재하에서 저농도의 감잎차 추출액이 $G_{1}$ phase에 처리되었을 때 나타났다. 감잎차 추출액의 이러한 항돌연변이의 효과의 기전은 감잎차 추출액의 대사산물이 MMC 처리된 CHO 세포에 대한 DNA-excision repair activity를 촉진시키기 때문인 것으로 생각된다.

Isolation and Characterization of Exogenously Expressed Calmodulin from Endogenous Tobacco Calmodulin by Anion-exchange Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography

  • A Mono Q HR 5/5 anion-exchange column with a FPLC system was used to separate exogenously expressed calmodulin from endogenous tobacco calmodulins. Transgenic tobacco calmodulins were purified by fractionation with ammonium sulfate, precipitation with sulfuric acid and hydrophobic chromatography on phenyl-Sepharose CL-4B. The purified calmodulins were chromatographed in the FPLC using the column. This method was selected because of the slight differences in the net charge of foreign and endogenous plant calmodulins due to amino acid sequence differences. By this approach, the exogenously expressed calmodulin was isolated from endogenous tobacco calmodulins. The isolated calmodulin was characterized by amino acid composition analysis as well as methylation analysis.

유기농 셀프수확 프로그램 개발 연구 (A Study on the Program Development for Organic Farming with the Concept of Self-harvest)

  • The theme-type self-harvest concept proposed in this research will be applied as a relevant reference in planning and realizing urban-rural exchange facilities at the village level. The aim of this paper is to describe the concept, to characterize the self-harvesters and organic farmers involved, to illustrate the ecological, economic and social interaction and the possible constraints of the concept. What is more important, however, is to develop programs for consultants, organic farmers and green-minded consumers, to vitalize direct transaction. The proponents of self-harvest are convinced that this concept leads to ecological, economic and social benefits, which will help to design a sustainable food supply system for small, medium and large cities.

건강과 질병치료 효능 증진을 위한 한방영양과 현대영양관리의 비교 (Comparison of Oriental and Western Nutrition for the Improvement of Health and Chronic Diseases Therapy)

  • Good health and longevity are the goal of human beings. Dietary treatment for the improvement of health and chronic diseases therapy has been occupied an important position in Oriental and Western medicine. In this paper, the viewpoints of dietary treatment in Oriental and Western medicine were compared. The principle of Yin-Yang and five elements, as a standing rule that establishes the theory of Oriental medicine and origin of the oriental philosophy, it provides the based of the Oriental medicine's outlook of the world. The principles of dietary treatment in Oriental medicine was reasonable combination of food, balance of Oh-Mi and temperance of food. Nutritional therapy in Oriental medicine has done the phase of Bian Zheng by individual characteristics. The theory of Yin-Yang and five elements, Ki-Mi, Sasang Constitution Medicine and Kyi-Kyung were obviously recognized the theory of nutrition therapeutics in Oriental medicine. In Western medicine, dietary treatment supplies individuals with a recipe of calorie and specific nutrients. The Food Exchange System was very convenient way of practice in nutrition therapy. But each of dietary treatment in Oriental and Western nutrition has strong and week points. So we need to study enough materials to treatment of Oriental nutrition and Western nutrition for the improvement of health and chronic diseases therapy.

멸치액젓의 항산화효과 (Antioxidant Effects of Fermented Anchovy)

  • 멸치액젓으로부터 항산화활성을 가지는 물질을 분리하기 위하여 용매추출 및 chromatography를 행하였다. 모든 용매분획들에 항산화활성이 있었으며 그 중 BuOH층과 수용액층이 소금을 함유하고 있었으나 항산화활성이 우수하였다. 수용액층을 투석막(MWCO 1000)으로 증류수에 대하여 투석하였을 때 투석막 내액의 항산화활성이 소실되었으므로 멸치액젓의 항산화성 물질은 분자량 1000이하의 분자량을 가진 것으로 추정하였다. Sephadex G-50 gel filtration chromatography에서 얻은 항산화물질 분획(tube No. 230-245)로 DE-52 anion exchange chromatography를 행한 결과 column에 결합하지 않고 흘러나온 분획(0 N NaCl용액) 및 0.05N NaCl용액으로 용출된 분획에서 항산화활성이 있었으나 $15\;{\mu}M$$Fe^{+++}\;ion$의 존재하에서 0 N NaCl 분획만 항산화활성이 유지되었다. Biogel P2 chromatography를 행한 결과 3번과 5번 분획의 항산화 활성이 특히 우수하였으며 TLC확인결과 아미노기가 풍부한 분자들임을 알 수 있었고 아미노산 조성을 분석하였을 때 다른 분획들보다 3번과 5번 분획에 소수성 아미노산이 많이 함유되어 있었다. TLC로 분리하여 항산화활성이 우수한 하나의 band를 HPLC의 C18 column으로 분석하였을 때 3개의 peak 중 항산화활성을 갖은 물질은 methionine 유도체이었으며 이는 멸치젓 수용액층의 많은 항산화물질 중 하나로 여러 아미노산 또는 oligopeptide의 유도체들의 상승효과가 멸치액젓의 항산화성을 유지하는 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구는 당뇨병 환자들을 위하여 개발된 영양상담 시스템으로서 식사력 조사, 섭취된 식품의 영양분석 및 식단작성 프로그램으로 구성되었다. 식사력 조사 프로그램에서는 상담자의 식습관, 식품의 기호도 및 식이요법 등에 있어서 답변을 통하여 상담후 바로 식이요법에 도움이 될 수 있는 정보를 얻음으로서 문제점들을 파악하여 올바른 식이요법을 행할 수 있다. 섭취된 식품의 영양분석 프로그램에서는 하루에 섭취한 모든 식품의 섭취상태와 열량 및 영양소를 분석할 뿐만 아니라 당뇨병의 식이요법에 있어서 중요한 성분인 섬유소 및 지방 섭취상태를 분석 평가함으로서 상담자의 식사가 바람직한가를 평가할 수 있다. 또한 식단작성 프로그램에서는 상담자의 체중과 활동에 알맞게 산출된 열량에 따라 식품교환표를 이용하여 작성된 식사별 식품 구성표와 일일 식단표를 제공받을 수 있다. 이와같이 상담자는 자신의 식사력 및 식사에 대한 분석 평가를 통하여 식이요법의 중요성과 그릇된 식습관을 인지할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 자신의 열량 필요량에 알맞는 식단을 제공받음으로서 올바른 식이요법을 행할 수 있다.

A Comprehensive Information System Validation Model

  • Along with the significance of information systems in today s global business operation, the significance of information systems control and audit is ever increasing in the effort to secure accuracy and integrity of vital business data. A study is undertaken to integrate Food and Drug Administration computerized systems validation regulations. Securities & Exchange Commission Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 200 and other significant regulations, and lastly, People Capability Maturity Model into one comprehensive information system validation model. The initial benefits to this comprehensive model are convenience, time-saving, and synchronization of the regulations. An organization that is striving for a high level of quality system in its essential operating areas of organization may opt for this model. After the complete development of the model, a field test would be scheduled to test its efficacy and validity.
