Design of Quad-band internal antenna for folder type cell phone (Folder Type 휴대폰 4중 대역 내장형 안테나 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 GSM/DCS/USPCS/WCDMA대역에서 사용할 수 있는 IFA 형태의 내장형 안테나를 설계하고 이를 제작하였다. 이 안테나는 제한된 공간에서 기본 IFA에 전류 흐름의 상쇄작용을 고려하여 4중 대역을 형성 시켰으며, GSM대역에서 Maximum Gain 2.23dBi~2.89dBi, DCS/USPCS/WCDMA대역에서 -3.24dBi~0.74dBi의 결과를 얻었다. 방사패턴 또한 전방향성에 가까운 특성을 가지고 있으며 전체적인 평균효율은 약 15% 향상됨을 확인할 수 있다.

Design of the Novel DVB-H Antenna for the Folder-Type Mobile Handheld Terminal

  • We have proposed a novel DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcast for Handheld) antenna for folder-type mobile handheld terminal by using a coupling element, a stub, and an L-type matching circuit. The L-type matching circuit consisting of two chip inductors is used for achieving an improved impedance matching over the DVB-H frequency band ($470{\sim}702\;MHz$). Simulated results showed the stub worked to more knot the lower and upper frequency ends of the input impedance curve. The antenna exhibits a flat gain characteristic from 2 to 2.8 dBi over the DVB-H frequency band. The radiation patterns are a stable Figure-of-eight radiation pattern in the frequency range.

  • 최근 다양한 모바일 디바이스의 보급으로 인하여 데스크탑 컴퓨터에서 관리하던 문서들을 이제는 모바일 디바이스에서도 관리해야 하는 상황이 발생하고 있다. 하지만 기존 파일관리 시스템에 익숙한 사용자는 모바일 디바이스에서도 개인문서를 잘 관리하지만, 익숙하지 못한 사용자(7080세대)는 개인문서 관리에 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 파일관리 시스템에 익숙하지 못한 사용자를 대상으로 개인문서 정리를 위한 Folder Template을 제시하고, 개인문서를 정리하는 방법에 대한 가이드라인을 제시한다.

  • 윈도우즈(Windows)에는 서버 메시지 블록(SMB :Server Message Block) 프로토콜을 이용하여 폴더(Folder)를 공유(Share)할 수 있는 기능을 제공 하고 있다. SMB 프로토콜은 네트워크 상 존재하는 노드들 간에 자원을 공유할 수 있도록 설계된 프로토콜이다. 주로 네트워크에 연결된 컴퓨터끼리 파일, 프린터, 포트 또는 기타 메시지를 주고받는데 사용된다. 하지만 이 기능은 대부분 사람들이 잘 알지 못하고 설정 방법을 몰라 사용 하지 않는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 이 공유 폴더 기능을 보다 쉽고 빠르게 설정 할 수 있도록 공유 폴더 기능 향상을 위한 도우미를 설계하고 구현 한다.

Influences of Mobile Phone Electromagnetic Wave on Human Body According to Holding Method by the Hand and Wearing Accessories (손과 액세서리에 의한 휴대폰 전자파의 인체 노출 특성)

  • In this paper, we compared the spatial peak SAR values measured with and without holding the hand-held phones to check the present recommended spatial peak SAR. To better understand the analysis of the SAR effect values, SAR is measured with hand phantoms, made and recommended for the use of Bar-type and Folder-type hand-held phones. The measured results have shown that use of the hand considerably reduces the spatial peak SAR value in a head phantom. We compared the spatial peak SAR values measured with and without accessories. To better understand the analysis of the effects of SAR values with accessories, SAR is measured with accessories composed of three kinds of earrings and glasses. The measured results proved in study that the spatial peak SAR value in a head phantom is not affected by the earrings but by the glasses. The glasses considerably increases the spatial peak SAR value in a head phantom while using Bar-type phones, although the effects are modest with Folder-type phones.

  • This thesis suggests ways on how to enhance handset radiation power under head phantom condition. Generally, peak EIRP(Effective Isotropic Radiated Power) is used to measure the radiation performance. TRP is more effective to represent indication of mobile radiation performance in the field than EIRP. In this case, we measure the TRP as an index of radiation power. The factors which effect TRP are antenna length, antenna position, folder angle and ground connection method. More detailed analysis is performed over these items. Significant item is ground connection method between main PCB and folder GND. Using the FPCB we connect main GND to folder GND through the hinge near the antenna. The result is that TRP attenuation is decreased about 5 dB under head phantom condition.

Multi-Current Distributed Folded Monopole Antenna for Triple Band Mobile Phone Handset (3중 대역 휴대폰 단말기용 다중 전류 분포 폴디드 모노폴 안테나)

  • We design and fabricate, in this parer, a triple band folded monopole antenna for the folder type mobile phone handset that can be served GSM/DCS/USPCS mobile phone system. Antenna structure is modified meander shape which is obtained both extension of antenna physical length for GSM band and same directional multi-currents flowing on the antenna conductor surface for DCS/USPCS band. This antenna has as good performances as high radiation resistance and gain increment, and would be applied to mobile phone handset that is not able to be performed by internal antenna. By measurement, fabricated antenna by the press process shows under VSWR 3:1 at closed folder state and 2:1 at opened folder state over whole GSM/DCS/USPCS band, and has maximum gain as -0.02 dBi for GSM, +0.2 dBi for DCS, +0.78 dBi for USPCS band with almost omnidirectional H-plane radiation pattern.

  • In recent, the interests of multi-user systems have been increased. Multi-user systems allow a number of users to access the system simultaneously. Security is one of the key issues to be addressed in a multi-user environment. We propose a solution based on the NTFS file system that provides the personal data security and considers the convenience of users. The system increases the convenience of users by simplifying the complexity of the security setting on NTFS. We also propose a variety of policies that prevent from the conflicts incurring when different users set up the personal folders simultaneously and do not set up the important folders such as the window system folders as personal folders. In addition, our system supports the function of setting up the prohibition folder lists so that no one can not set the folder to their personal folders.

  • By the development of the network technology, the types and amount of information that users keep in contact with have been dramatically increased. As a result, users are consuming a lot of time and energy to find needed information. On this, this article presents a new methodology that can efficiently manage their information within small cost by using content-based recommendation method and keyword affinity method. By using keyword affinity method, this methodology solves the content-based recommendation method's weak point that the performance is not good within the environment that the preferences of users are rapidly changing and new contents are created continuously and the accuracy level is low until the information of preferences are sufficiently gathered. This article carried out research on the personal e-mail environment where new information is frequently created and disappeared. Also this article assists folder recommendation for the efficient management of e-mail and verified the methodology mentioned above by an experiment to compare the performance of existing folder recommendation methods with the performance of this new method.

  • Since an e-mail has been an important mean of communication and information sharing, there have been much effort to classify e-mails efficiently by their contents. An e-mail has various forms in length and style, and words used in an e-mail are usually irregular. In addition, the criteria of an e-mail classification are subjective. As a result, it is quite difficult for the conventional text classification technique to be adapted to an e-mail classification efficiently. An e-mail classification technique in a commercial e-mail program uses a simple text filtering technique in an e-mail client. In the previous studies on automatic classification of an e-mail, the Naive Bayesian technique based on the probability has been used to improve the classification accuracy, and most of them are on an e-mail in English. This paper proposes the personalized recommendation technique of an email in Korean using a data mining technique of frequent patterns. The proposed technique consists of two phases such as the pre-processing of e-mails in an e-mail folder and the generating a profile for the e-mail folder. The generated profile is used for an e-mail to be classified into the most appropriate e-mail folder by the subjective criteria. The e-mail classification system is also implemented, which adapts the proposed technique.
