동력로용 보상형 전리함의 제작 및 실험 (Manufacture and Experiment of Compensated Ionization Chamber for the Nuclear Power Reactor)

  • A neutron detector, in general, can not be utilized as the thermal neutron detecting chamber in the nuclear power reactor, especially P.W.R. due to the characteristics of high temperature, high pressure and high neutron flux in a reactor vessel. We have performed an experiment to detect the thermal neutrons at 400.deg. C and high flux of thermal neutron in a power reactor. Coating boron-10 on the aluminium plates by means of surface diffusion method at 600.deg. C for 5 hours in an electric furace, also we made a typical chamber which was compensated ionization chamber filled with free air as an ionization gas. It was checked the chamber characteristics in the TRIGA MARK-II Reactor at the power level from zero to 250KW. The chamber current showed a perfect linear increase to power increase. However, many variation of the measured current were observed within the power of 50KW.

하수처리장에서의 암모니아 플럭스 산정을 위한 물질전달모형 개발 (Development of Mass Transfer Models for Ammonia Flux Estimation from Sewage Treatment Plants)

  • Sewage treatment plants located near to large cities emit extremely higher concentration of odorous materials. This study evaluated flux profiles of ammonia emitted from the water surface of sewage treatment plants using a dynamic flux chamber. Also, an ammonia overall mass transfer coefficient and a mass transfer model was developed in order to estimate fluxes of ammonia using environment parameters and the flux from the sewage treatment plants. The developed mass transfer model was evaluated through a fitness analysis. Comparison modeled flux applying empirical overall mass transfer coefficients of ammonia and measured ammonia flux show a high linearity with 0.977. The flux ratio of 1.282 demonstrated highly statistical fitness, also. Modeled flux using the mass transfer model was compared with measured flux. In result, it indicated that empirical overall mass transfer coefficients were similar to measured flux. The mass transfer model using the empirical overall mass transfer coefficient developed in this study was proved to be an easy and effective method to make accurate and precise predictions for ammonia flux discharged from sewage treatment plants.

막냉각량에 따른 축소형 칼로리미터의 열유속 특성에 관한 연구 (Film cooling Effects on Wall Heat Flux of a Subscale Calorimetric Combustion Chamber)

  • 막냉각량과 작동점의 변화에 따른 축소형 칼로리미터의 열유속 특성을 실험과 해석을 통해 알아보았다. 칼로리미터의 실린더 부분은 8개의 채널로, 노즐부는 11개의 채널로 구성되어 있다. 설계점 연소시험 시 막냉각량이 전체 연료유량의 10.5%일 때 노즐목에서의 열유속은 막냉각이 없을 때보다 약30% 감소하였다. 또한 막냉각이 없을 경우, 고압-고혼합비 조건 연소 시험 시 노즐목에서의 열유속이 설계점 시험 시보다 약 31% 증가함을 보였다.

챔버를 이용한 농작지로부터의 기체배출량의 측정과 배출특성연구: 일산화질소(NO)와 아질산가스($N_2O$)의 배출량산정 (Measurements of Gases Emissions form Agricultural Soils and Their Characteristics with Chamber Technique: Emissions of NO and $N_2O$)

  • During the growing season from June to August, 2000, the soil NO and $N_2$O fluxes were measured to elucidate characteristics of soil nitrogen emissions from different types of intensively managed agricultural soils at outskirts of Kunsan City, located in the western inland of Korea, Flux measurements were made using a closed chamber technique at two different agricultural fields; one was made from upland field, and the other from rice paddy field. The flux data from upland field were collected for both the green onion and soybean field. Concentrations of NO and $N_2$O inside a flux chamber ar 15 minute sampling interval were measured to determine their soil emissions. Either polyethylene syringes of teflon air bags were used for gas samples of $N_2$O and NO. The analysis of NO and $N_2$O was made using a chemiluminesence NO analyzer and GC-ECD, respectively no later than few hours after sample collection at laboratory. The gas fluxes were varied more than one standard deviation around their means. Relatively high soil gas emissions occurred in the aftermoon for both NO and $N_2$O. A sub-peak for $N_2$O emission was observed in the morning period, but not in the case of NO. NO emissions from rice paddy field were much less than those from upland site. It seems that water layer over the rice paddy field prevents gases from escaping from the soil surface covered with were during the irrigation and acts as a sink of these gases. The NO fluxes resulted from these field experiments were compared to those from grass soil and they were found to be much higher. Diurnal and daily variations of NO and $N_2$O emission were discussed and correlated with the effects of nitrogen fertilizer application on the increase of the level of soil nitrogen availability.

정적 연소기에서 당량비 변화에 따른 순간열유속에 관한 연구 (A Study of Heat Flux and Instantaneous Temperature According to the Equivalence Ratio in a Constant Volume Combustion Chamber)

  • In the gasoline engine industry. there has been a trend towards the development of high performance engines with improved fuel efficiency, reduced weight and smaller sizes. These trends help to solved engine problems related to thermal load and abnormal combustion. In order to investigate these Problems, a thin film-type probe for instantaneously measuring temperatures has been suggested. A method for manufacturing such a probe was established in this study. The instantaneous surface temperature of a constant volume combustion chamber was measured by this probe and the heat flux was obtained through Fourier analysis. A peak instantaneous temperature was obtained after 55∼60 ms from ignition and the temperature increased according to an equivalence ratio and varied differently according to the position of the probe. Total heat loss during combustion period was affected by the equivalence ratio and differed widely in accordance to the position of the probe.

  • In the present study, the internal combustion engine tends to high performance, fuel economy, small-sized. Therefore, it is necessary to solve the problems on thermal load, abnormal combustion, etc in the engine. Thin film instantaneous temperature probe was made, and the measuring system was established. The instantaneous surface temperatures in the constant volume combustion chamber were measured with this system and the heat flux was obtained by Fourier analysis. 논토양(土壤)의 메탄 배출(排出) 측정(測定)을 위한 간역폐쇄정태(簡易閉鎖靜態) Chamber법(法) (A Simplified Closed Static Chamber Method for Measuring Methane Flux in Paddy Soils)

  • 논포장에서 배출되는 메탄가스를 측정하기 위하여 간이폐쇄정태 chamber법을 이용하여 대표적인 시료를 채취할 수 있도록 chamber내 시료채취 높이, 시료채취시 시간간격, 하루중 시료 채취시간을 검토하였다. 1. 대표적인 시료채취를 위한 chamber내 높이는 65cm이었고 chamber 하반부에서 시료가 균일하게 섞이도록 DC fan을 추가로 설치할 필요성이 인정되었다. 2. 시간경과에 따른 chamber내 메탄농도의 변화 및 기온의 변화에서 보면 시료채취를 개시하여 30분이내에 시료를 채취하는 것이 바람직하였다. DC fan으로 chamber내부의 공기가 섞이도록 하는 것은 대표적인 시료를 얻기 위한 것 뿐 아니라 chamber내열평형을 이루어 시료(試料) 채취기간중(採取期間中) 식물(植物)의 생리적(生理的) 활성(活性)에 최소한(最小限)의 변화를 주는 방법으로 판단되었다. 3. 하루중 대표적인 메탄 배출량을 나타내는 오전 9시~12시에 시료를 채취하여 분석하되 부득이한 경우에는 또 하나의 평균적인 배출량을 나타내는 오후 6시~8시의 시료를 채취하여 분석하여도 가능할 것으로 판단되었다. 4. 수도주간(水稻株間)진 토양(土壤)에서 메탄 배출을 측정하는데 사용하는 소형의 chamber는 토양을 교란할 수 있으므로 설치한 후 최소한 6시간이 경과되어야 chamber내 메탄농도가 주위의 메탄 농도로 회복되었다.

추력 2톤급 축소형 칼로리미터 개발 (Development of 2-ton thrust-level sub-scale calorimeter)

  • 고성능 로켓엔진 연소기의 벽면 열유속 측정을 위하여 추력 2톤급 칼로리미터를 개발하였으며 고온에서 전열특성과 강도특성이 뛰어난 크롬동합금을 연소실 내벽 소재로 적용하였다. 전체적인 냉각성능은 경험식을 기반으로 하는 1차원 해석으로 확인하였으며 국부적인 냉각성능은 3차원 CFD 해석으로 검증하였다. 연소압 53 bar 조건에서 노즐목에서의 열유속은 43 $MW/m^{2}$ 으로 예측되었다. 연소실의 구조적인 안전성은 150 bar에서 2차원 해석과 시편에 대한 변형실험으로 확인하였다. 최종적으로 상온 150 bar에 대한 가압실험으로 안전성을 검증하였고 개발된 칼로리미터와 동일한 냉각성능을 갖는 시험용 노즐을 사용하여 예비시험을 수행하였다. 노즐목에서 측정된 열유속이 설계값에 비하여 10% 높았음에도 연소실 내벽에 열손상은 발생하지 않았다.

매립지 표면의 메탄 발산량 실측을 위한 플럭스 챔버의 방법론적 비교와 최적화 (Comparison and Optimization of Flux Chamber Methods of Methane Emissions from Landfill Surface Area)

  • 플럭스 챔버법은 비용효율적인 표면 발산량의 측정방법으로 다양한 연구 분야에 널리 이용되어 왔다. 플럭스 챔버법은 운용 방식에 따라 기울기 방식을 이용한 닫힌 챔버법(SFC)과 평형 농도 방식을 이용한 열린 챔버법(DFC)으로 분류할 수 있는데, SFC 방식은 장비가 간단하고 운용이 쉬운 반면, 직선성에 대한 불확실한 가정으로 인하여 플럭스 산정 값이 가변적인 단점이 있다. 한편, DFC 방식은 더 많은 특정 기기가 필요하지만, 어떤 애매모호함이 없이 일정한 값을 산정할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 작고 조밀한 키트를 이용하여 DFC를 자체 제작하였다. 자체 제작한 DFC는 30분 이내에 평형상태에 도달하였고, 측정 초기의 불충분한 혼합을 제외하면 시료 균질도가 5% 미만이고, 회수율이 90% 이상으로 우수하였다. 이 개선된 DFC의 상대확장불확도는 7.37%로 평가되었는데, 이는 주로 통제되지 않은 유입가스에 기인한다. 연구 결과는 대규모 매립지에서 소형의 측정 키트를 이용한, 개선된 DFC 방식이 신뢰성이 높은 자료를 효과적으로 축적할 수 있음을 보여준다.

희박연소를 위한 혼합기의 성층급기와 유동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Induced Mixture Flows and the Stratified Charge for a Lean Burn)

  • In the present study, the IDI-type constant volume chamber, which utilizes the indirect injection stratified charge method, is used to solve several problems including misfires and cycle-variations caused by unstable initial ignitions. A subchamber has been used to make an ignitable mixture under the low mean equivalence ratio. After burned in the subchamber, the flame jet getting through the passage hode enters the main chamber and burns the lean charge. There are many factors which affect the combustion characteristics of the indirect injection stratified engine. The passage hole angle is the most important since it determines the direction of flame flows into the main chamber. In the present study, we measured the combustion pressure, and the wall temperature, and computed the heat flux through the cylinder wall in order to understand the combustion characteristics depending on passage hole angle and the equivalence ratio.
