수직 액막형 흡수기의 성능 최적화에 관한 연구 (Study on the Optimization of Absorption Performance of the Vertical Tube Absorber with Falling Film)

  • The present study investigated the optimization of the absorption performance of the vertical absorber tube with falling film by considering heat and mass transfer simultaneously. Effects of film Reynolds number, geometric parameters by insert device (spring) and flow pattern on heat and mass transfer performances have been also investigated. Especially, effects of coolant flow rate and the flow pattern by geometric parameters has been observed for the total heat and mass transfer rates through both numerical and experimental studies. Based on both predicted values, the optimal coolant flow rate was predicted as 1.98 L/min. The maximum absorption rate of the spring inserted tube was increased by the maximum of $20.0\%$ than those for uniform film of bare tube. Average Sherwood numbers and Nusselt numbers were increased as Reynolds numbers increased under the dynamic and geometric conditions showing the maximum absorption performance.

  • Feul-cell system consists of fuel reformer, stack and energy translator. Among these parts, slack is a core part which produces electricity directly. In order to set a stack module, fabrication of appropriate stack, design of water flow path in stack, and control of coolant are needed. Especially, water or air is used as a coolant to dissipate heat. The different temperature of each electric cells after cooling and the high temperature of the stack affect the performance of the stack, Therefore, it is necessary that the relationship between coolant, healing rate, width of slack, properties of stack, and the shape of water flow path must be understood. For the optimal design, the computational simulation by CFD-ACE has been conducted and the resulting database has been constructed.

  • 본 연구에서는 수치모사를 통해 탄의 사출관 내부의 열 유체역학적 분석과 탄의 운동성능 해석을 수행하였다. 동적 격자(dynamic grid)를 사용한 해석영역에서 계산이 진행되었고 증발이 완료된 물을 냉각제로 사용하였다. 고온의 공기와 냉각제간의 상호작용 및 유동장을 해석하기 위해, Realizable $k-{\varepsilon}$ 난류 모델과 VOF (Volume Of Fluid) 모델을 선정하고 냉각제 유량변이에 따른 수치 해석을 진행하였다. 해석결과, 사출관의 압력은 냉각제의 유무에 따라 큰 차이를 보였고, 냉각제량에 따라서도 각각의 차이를 보였다. 탄의 속도와 가속도의 변이는 압력에 종속하여 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 항공기 탑재용 환경조절장치에 사용하기 위한 미세유로형 증발열교환기의 성능 특성에 관한 연구결과를 제시하였다. 미세유로형 증발열교환기는 가능한한 적은 양의 냉매로 고온부의 열량을 흡수할 수 있도록 저온부 냉매의 증발잠열을 이용하고 단위 체적당 열전달 면적의 극대화를 위해 미세유로를 이용하는 개념이다. 설계된 공기 및 냉각수 유로를 에칭을 통해 가공하고, 이들을 적층하여 브레이징으로 접합한 후 입출구 포트를 용접함으로써 열교환기를 제작하였다. 제작된 열교환기는 기본 성능시험을 통해 요구조건대로 설계/제작되었음을 확인하였고, 다양한 운용조건에 대한 성능 맵 시험을 수행하여 입구 공기온도, 공기 유량 및 냉각수 유량 변화에 따른 열교환 성능특성을 정량적으로 파악하였다.

Optimization of an extra vessel electromagnetic pump for Lead-Bismuth eutectic coolant circulation in a non-refueling full-life small reactor

  • This study presents an optimal design of the coolant system of a non-refueling full-life small reactor by analyzing the space-integrated geometrical and electromagnetic variables of an extra vessel electromagnetic pump (EVEMP) for the circulation of a lead-bismuth eutectic (LBE) coolant. The EVEMP is an ideal alternative to the thermal-hydraulic system of non-refueling full-life micro reactors as it possesses no internal structures, such as impellors or sealing structures, for the transportation of LBE. Typically, the LBE passes through the annular flow channel of a reactor, is cooled by the heat exchanger, and then circulates back to the EVEMP flow channel. This thermal-hydraulic flow method is similar to natural circulation, which enhances thermal efficiency, while providing a golden time for cooling cores in the event of an emergency. When the forced circulation technology of the EVEMP was applied, the non-refueling full-life micro reactor achieve an output power of 60 MWt, which is higher than that achievable via the natural circulation method (30 MWt). Accordingly, an optimized EVEMP for Micro URANUS with a flow rate of 4196 kg/s and developed pressure of 73 kPa under a working temperature of 250 ℃ was designed.

등온 냉각액을 활용한 plug flow reactor 내의 과열점 제어를 위한 제어모델 개발 (Control of Hot Spots in Plug Flow Reactors Using Constant-temperature Coolant)

  • Plug flow reactor (PFR) 내의 과열점(hot spot) 온도를 조절하는 것은 생성물의 수득률 및 순도, 안전성 측면에서 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 더 현실에 가깝게 모델링 하기 위하여 PFR 내부의 냉각액 온도를 상태변수로 설정하고 방사 방향의 열 및 물질전달을 고려하였다. 모델은 반응물의 농도 및 온도와 냉각액의 온도 총 3개의 상태변수로 이루어져 있으며, 등온 냉각액의 유량을 조작변수로 가진다. 본 연구에서는 방사 방향의 열 및 물질전달을 고려한 제어식이 그렇지 않은 제어식보다 과열점의 온도를 set point 부근으로 더 효과적으로 유지한다는 것을 보였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 제어식은 냉각액의 온도가 반응물 온도의 약 0.7배 부근일 때 St가 1.3 이상이고 Ac/A가 2.0 이하인 조건에서 강건성을 유지하였다. 이 조건에서 반응기로 유입되는 반응물의 온도가 5% 범위에서 바뀔 때 본 연구에서 제안된 제안식을 이용하면 과열점의 온도를 set point의 1% 이내로 유지할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 추력 30톤급 액체로켓엔진의 실물형 연소기 물냉각 연소시험 성능결과에 대해 기술하였다. 연소기 연소압력은 53bara 그리고 추진제 유량은 90kg/s이다. 30톤급 실물형 연소기에 대한 첫 채널 냉각 연소시험인 관계로 연소실 채널로 냉각수 물을 케로신 설계 냉각 체적 유량의 110%인 35kg/s와 케로신 냉각과 비슷한 성능을 갖는 유량 18kg/s에 대한 연소시험을 수행하였다. 각각의 연소시험 결과에 대해 기술하였으며, 채널 냉각 연소실에서 냉각 성능이 충분해 케로신 냉각 연소시험이 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Hot Leg Temperature Uncertainty due to Thermal Stratification

  • For the Reactor Coolant System(RCS) flow rate measurement by the secondary calorimetric heat balance method, the coolant temperature of the hot leg is needed. Several Resistance Temperature Detectors(RTD) are installed in the hot leg to measure the temperature, but the average value of RTDs does not correctly represent the energy-averaged(bulk) temperature because of the thermal stratification phenomenon. Therefore some correction is introduced to predict the bulk temperature, but the correction inevitably contains uncertainty because the stratification is not defined well quantitatively yet. Therefore a large uncertainty for the correction has been used for the conservative estimation. But unrealistically large uncertainty causes degradation of the measurement method and yields difficulty to meet the acceptance criterion in start-up flow measurement test. In this paper, an analytical estimation is made on the correction and the related uncertainty using the measured hot leg velocity profile of System 80 reactor flow model test and the measured temperatures of YGN 3&4 and PVNGS 1&2 start-up tests. The results reveal that the magnitude of the correction uncertainty is much smaller than that used in the previous design. Therefore, the confidence on the flow rate measurement method can be improved and the difficulty in start-up flow measurement test can be lessened if the smaller correction uncertainty obtained through this estimation is applied.

고분자막전해질 연료전지의 열관리 (Thermal Management of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell)

  • A dynamic system model of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) has been developed. The PEMFC of this study has large active area with water cooling in order to simulate the performance of the commercially viable PEMFC system for the transportation. A PEMFC stack model is a transient thermal model which is respond to the dynamic change of the coolant temperature and the flow rate. The dynamic cooling system model has been developed to determine the coolant flow rate and the coolant temperature. Prior to the system level study, thermal management criteria have been set up and brought to the control command of the cooling system. Since the system model is designed to evaluate the effect of thermal management on the system performance, it is attempted to determine the proper control algorithm of the cooling system so that the PEMFC system is working on the thermal management criteria. As a result of simulation, feedback controlled cooling system consumes less power and produce more power comparing with that of conventionally controlled cooling system.

  • An experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of a coolant circuit arrangement on the heat transfer and air pressure drop of a fin-tube sensible heat exchanger with the corrugated fin surface. The air inlet temperature was set to $23^{\circ}C$,the relative humidity to 50% and the air inlet flow rate to 20, 22, $25m^3/min$, respectively. while the coolant temperature was set to $7^{\circ}C$, and the coolant mass flow rate to 10, 16, 22kg/min, respectively. Experiment showed that the exchanger having a diameter of 12.7mm with parallel circuit does better performance in sensible heat transfer and air pressure drop than those three of diameter of 12.7mm with a series circuit and that with diameter of 15.88mm with a parallel circuit.
