  • Supply chain management is defined as "an integrative philosophy to manage the total flow of a distribution channel from the supplier to the ultimate user". There are many differences between traditional systems and supply chain management systems, There are so many advantages applying SCM concept in inventory management field from the viewpoint of information sharing. While each firm try to optimize the inventory individually in traditional systems, SCM focus on optimizing the channel-wide-inventory making effort to reduce the inventory interrelatedly, The more complex your network of suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors, the more you are likely to gain operational efficiencies by attending on inventory management. The inventory stockpiles at the various sites, including both incoming materials and finished products, have complex interrelationships. Efficient and effective management of inventory throughout the supply chain significantly improves the ultimate service provided to the customer. The purpose of this thesis is to develop the integrated inventory management system for the control of channel-wide inventory on the intranet by applying SCM concept.

  • This paper describes a controller design and dynamic performance analysis of UPFC based on 3-level inverters. Major attention is focused on the controller design for both shunt and series inverters, including regulator design for the dc link voltage sharing across the dc capacitors. An energy-based approach was investigated for effectively designing the controller. A detailed UPFC model has been developed with EMTP using 24-pulse 3-level inverters to verify this approach. Simulation results about dynamic performance of UPFC confirm effects for increasing transmission capacity and damping low-frequency oscillation. The developed simulation model would be very effective to analyze the dynamic performance of UPFC.

  • This study serves as a part for the development of an integrated structural design system. Efficient data management is essential in engineering computer applications where the volume of data is large and the data flow and sharing are required. From a viewpoint of computer application, building structures can be considered to be a mass ofdata. The centralized database(CDB) and database management system frees the application from the details of managing data storage and retrieval while providing a common pool of information. For this, systematic information analysis and modeling have to be preceded. In this paper we described the result of database modeling of building structure.

  • Designing a complex system such as an LCD developing system becomes inefficient when many designers are involved and create their own parts even though they can be used repeatedly in other sections. Thus, this paper proposes a new design process that can maximize the number of common parts in complex system design by organizing the 3D design process. The proposed design process consists of 5 stages: analysis of design intention, definition of initial product structure, definition of skeleton model, sharing design intention with all assembles, control of correlation between components. The proposed design process can maximize common parts in design process, which results in shorter lead time, less production cost, and greater economic benefits.

  • Inernet of Things(IoT) is interaction with each other, collecting, sharing, and analysing the data. IoT has been noted in combining the fields of medical service in particular. However, the security issue is caused, while IoT is receiving attention. U-Health and medical devices, which deal mainly the personal health information, is required to a high level of privacy and security of health information. This study analyzes cases of leakage of personal medical information, security of IoT, privacy flow, and the response strategies.

Optimal design of HTS current lead considering natural convection (자연대류를 고려한 초전도 전류도입선의 최적 설계)

  • In this paper the HTS current lead for superconducting device is studied numerical method. The current lead is cooled by surrounded He gas by natural convection. To find wall heat flux, the linearization method is adopted Numerical results using natural convection cooling are compared with conventional cooling methods such as conduction cooling and vapor cooling. The results shows that the minimum heat dissipation is much smaller than conduction cooling. Also, the minimum heat dissipation is obtained for the non-zero gradient of temperature at warm end. HTS current lead operating current sharing mode is reduce heat flow to superconducting system.

  • This study is a structural analysis of a multi-type and multi-level library network within the framework of a regional interlibrary loan (ILL) system. The study monitored to information network structure for resource sharing of academic and research library materials transmitted through the ILL. The local flow of academic and research information was measured by a survey of the filled ILL transactions by individual libraries in the Western 3Rs region. The major findings were as follows: 1) the regional ILL network showed less than half of participation of the total subject libraries, 2) existing structure surveyed was identified as a composite centralized network with three communication groups, 3) depending on the types of materials transacted, the structure were changed, 4) statewide and multi-state library cooperatives had direct interactions with some of the local libraries, 5) individual libraries participated in the ILL network more for periodicals than book materials, 6) academic libraries throughout the total six structure analyzed showed the highest percentage of participation.

  • The existing mobile customization researches have been performed by the single customization technique to change service of single device. But, the existing single customization techniques are insufficient to change mobile service to multiple devices in batches. In this paper, we propose the customization technique for customizing multiple devices sharing flow control data of mobile service. A multiple customization technique is based on the push service and the cloud service.

Battery Equalization Method for Parallel-connected Cells Using Dynamic Resistance Technique

  • As the battery capacity requirement increases, battery cells are connected in a parallel configuration. However, the sharing current of each battery cell becomes unequal due to the imbalance between cell's impedance which results the mismatched states of charge (SOC). The conventional fixed-resistance balancing methods have a limitation in battery equalization performance and system efficiency. This paper proposes a battery equalization method based on dynamic resistance technique, which can improve equalization performance and reduce the loss dissipation. Based on the SOC rate of parallel connected battery cells, the switches in the equalization circuit are controlled to change the equivalent series impedance of the parallel branch, which regulates the current flow to maximize SOC utilization. To verify the method, operations of 4 parallel-connected 18650 Li-ion battery cells with 3.7V-2.6Ah individually are simulated on Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the SOCs are balanced within 1% difference with less power dissipation over the conventional method.

  • An HTS conductor with parallel HTS tapes is essential for a large power HTS device to flow a large current. One of the most important factor for this conductor is a current distribution. Non-uniform current distribution in parallel tapes makes the critical current of the conductor low and the AC losses high. In this paper we proposed a non-contact method which measured each current in parallel tapes by using an array of Hall sensors. A matrix can be derived from this array for calibration. The current distributions of 4 and 6 parallel tapes were measured.
