As vehicle supply rate increases, traffic jam-related problems emerge and sharing transportation including carpool, centered on the advanced countries, becomes a major interest. This study aims to analyze benefit generated by carpool during the rush hours of medium and long distance travel, focused on the workers of public Agencies relocated to innovation cities. In order to compute benefit, carpool demand of relocated public Agencies was estimated and travel speed was estimated according to reduced traffic volume through carpool adoption using a traffic flow model. The benefit were computed dividing them into direct benefit and indirect benefit. As a result, 23billion KRW and 56.5billion KRW were annually revealed to be generated in terms of direct benefit and indirect benefit. The study result is expected to be used as part of basic research to adopt carpool for future traffic demand management.

This paper presents architecture and control method of packet scheduler to guarantee QoS of high quality streaming services in high-speed packet-switched networks. Since streaming services need far more stringent QoS requirements than the typical sort of burst data applications, they should be guaranteed minimum bandwidth and end-to-end delay bound to each flow, regardless of the behavior of other flows. To meet these requirements, a packet scheduler isolate a flow from the undesirable effects of other flows and provides end-to-end delay guarantees for individual flow and divides stringently the available link bandwidth among flows sharing the link. Until now, many vendors are developing traffic management chips running at 10Gbps, but most of chips have drawbacks to support high quality streaming services. In this paper, we investigate the drawbacks of commercial TM chips and traffic characteristic of streaming services and present implementation frameworks of the proposed packet scheduler. Finally, we analyze the simulation results of the proposed scheduler.
Long-Term Evolution employs a hard handover procedure. To reduce the interruption of data flow, downlink data is forwarded from the serving eNodeB (eNB) to the target eNB during handover. In cellular networks, unbalanced loads may lead to congestion in both the radio network and the backhaul network, resulting in bad end-to-end performance as well as causing unfairness among the users sharing the bottleneck link. This work focuses on congestion in the transport network. Handovers toward less loaded cells can help redistribute the load of the bottleneck link; such a mechanism is known as load balancing. The results show that the introduction of such a handover mechanism into the simulation environment positively influences the system performance. This is because terminals spend more time in the cell; hence, a better reception is offered. The utilization of load balancing can be used to further improve the performance of cellular systems that are experiencing congestion on a bottleneck link due to an uneven load.
Over the last 10 years, the number of cancer survivors in South Korea has reached nearly one million with a survival rate of 49.4%. However, integrated supportive care for cancer survivors is lagging. One area in which the current cancer control policy needs updating is in the utilization of information and communication technology (ICT). The remarkable progress in the field of ICT over the past 10 years presents exciting new opportunities for health promotion. Recent communication innovations are conducive to the exchange of meta-information, giving rise to a new service area and transforming patients into active medical consumers. Consequently, such innovations encourage active participation in the mutual utilization and sharing of high-quality information. However, these benefits from new ICTs will almost certainly not be equally available to all, leading to so-called communication inequalities where cancer survivors from lower socioeconomic classes will likely have more limited access to the best means of making use of the health information. Therefore, most essentially, emphasis must be placed on helping cancer survivors and their caregivers utilize such advances in ICT to create a more efficient flow of health information, thereby reducing communication inequalities and expanding social support. Once we enhance access to health information and better manage the quality of information, as a matter of fact, we can expect an alleviation of the health inequalities faced by cancer survivors.
In this paper, we analyze previous flow control algorithm for serving ABR traffic, and then propose the algorithm which calculate fair transmission rate and control efficiently ABR traffic using VS/VD switch which has an effect on PNNI environment with long delay. For getting the transmission rate, the proposed algorithm use FMMRA as ER scheme which calculate exactly the fair share. And, in large delay state, we can obtain fair cell sharing by calculating transmission rates which obtained by transmitted queue length information of VD to VS for serve and drain cell in queue Through the computer simulation, we evaluate the performance of proposed algorithm, According to the results, the proposed algorithm shows good performance.

All the countries in RA II (Asia Region in WMO) welcome the establishment of a Web site dedicated to agricultural meteorology, because it is believed that the best way to improve and speed up the flow of information is the use of the Internet and the establishment of a Web site. In providing recommendation for the promotion and improvement of the AgroMeteorological service in RA II, a couple of key suggestions were proposed: (a) Exchanges of data and AgroMeteorological knowledge between member countries and between RAs, (b) Exchanges of experts between member countries as a necessary way to share the knowledge, and (c) Joint research between member countries to solve common problems in AgroMeteorological affairs. In order to meet the above requirements for RA II, an AgroMeteorological information network will be the most critical and dynamic aspect in sustainable agriculture in this region. In addition, the establishment of a Core AgroMeteorological station, recommended by CAgM of WMO, will require its own information sharing systems for communication among member countries. Inevitable use of information technologies (IT) such as information networks, databases, simulation models, GIS, and RS for regional impact assessment of environmental change on AgroEcosystem will be enforced. Thus, the regional Internet-based Agrometeorological information network has been in place since 1999, though all contributions to it have been volunteered by individuals, institutes, universities, etc.
The number of shared offices has increased and changed within the flow of the era into various forms in recent days. Co-working spaces and related shared space businesses are growing fast, keeping pace with the trend recently. It is confirmed that the need of spaces grew 180% since 2015 to 2017. Most of the shared offices in Seoul are placed in Gangnam circle, it is verified that shared office is providing work, space, and community by visiting cases of foreign companies, domestic companies, local companies. Meanwhile, shared space can be categorized into serviced office, co-working space, virtual office, and daily office. It is to consider various target levels by leasing service or the difference of costs. It is divided into forms of dispersion, circulation, and concentration and is planned to increase the utilization of communities' traffic according to the allocation of shared office. The business is conducted network-centered. During the process of communication, members can get chances to exchange and build communities. They are making business ecosystem which they can coexist and grow together. Shared offices have a view of a solution to empty rooms and will last for a while, and it is expected that co-working system be settled as office space and giving people sense of belonging on their workspace.

The advantages of employing SCTP-based Concurrent Multipath Transfer (CMT) have been demonstrated to be very useful for data delivery over multi-homed wireless networks. However, there is still significant ongoing work addressing some remaining limitations and challenges. The most important concern when applying CMT to data delivery is related to handling packet reordering and buffer blocking. Another concern on this topic is that current sender-based CMT solutions seldom consider balancing the overhead and sharing the load between the sender and receiver. This paper proposes a novel Receiver-driven Cooperation-based Concurrent Multipath Transfer solution (CMT-Rev) with the following aims: (i) to balance overhead and share load between the sender and receiver, by moving some functions including congestion and flow control from the sender onto receiver; (ii) to mitigate the data reordering and buffer blocking problems, by using an adaptive receiver-cooperative path aggregation model, (iii) to adaptively transmit packets over multiple paths according to their receiver-inspired sending rate values, by employing a new receiver-aware data distribution scheduler. Simulation results show that CMT-Rev outperforms the existing CMT solutions in terms of data delivery performance.

Flexible large-scale WLANs are now widely deployed in crowded and highly mobile places such as campus, airport, shopping mall and company etc. But network management is hard for large-scale WLANs due to highly uneven interference and throughput among links. So the traffic is difficult to predict accurately. In the paper, through analysis of traffic in two real large-scale WLANs, Granger Causality is found in both scenarios. In combination with information entropy, it shows that the traffic prediction of target AP considering Granger Causality can be more predictable than that utilizing target AP alone, or that of considering irrelevant APs. So We develops new method -Granger Causality and Vector Auto-Regression (GCVAR), which takes APs series sharing Granger Causality based on Vector Auto-regression (VAR) into account, to predict the traffic flow in two real scenarios, thus redundant and noise introduced by multivariate time series could be removed. Experiments show that GCVAR is much more effective compared to that of traditional univariate time series (e.g. ARIMA, WARIMA). In particular, GCVAR consumes two orders of magnitude less than that caused by ARIMA/WARIMA.

In this paper, we propose sliding mode congestion controller for differentiated-services network. Two important issue in differentiated-services architecture are bandwidth guarantee and fair sharing of unsubscribed bandwidth among TCP flows with and without bandwidth reservation. We use tight upper and lower bounds for various settings of differentiated-services parameters using the loss-bounded model. The Sliding mode congestion controller scheme is designed using nonlinear control theory based on a nonlinear model of the network that is generated using fluid flow consideration. The methodology used is general and independent of technology, as for example TCP/IP or ATM. The sliding mode congestion controller methodology has been applied to an TCP network. We use NS-2 simulation to demonstrate that the proposed control methodology achieves the desired behavior of the network, and possesses important attributes. as e.g, stable and robust behavior, high utilization with bounded delay and loss, together with good steady-state and transient behavior.
