This paper is developed to Energy Balance Flow show the flow of total energy resource be used nationally. The Energy Balance Flow is applicable of demand management factor through the analysis of foreign energy model of supply and demand and energy statistic data in the country. This study is based on and developed to Energy system management model is able to appraisal efficient of energy cost cutting, CO2 emission reduction and Energy saving at the national level calculated effect reached amount of primary energy to change of energy flow followed application of demand side management factor is able to appraisal quantitatively at the total energy to model of demand and supply.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of blood flow restriction bridge exercise on leg muscle thickness and balance. In addition, it is to promote blood flow restriction exercise as the basis for early prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sarcopenia in clinical practice. Methods: Twenty elderly women aged 65 years or older were selected to participate in this study. The subjects were divided into two groups of 10: one with blood flow restriction with bridge exercise (BFRG) and the other with bridge exercise alone (BG). As for the exercise method, the thickness of rectus femoris and vastus medialis and Berg balance scale were investigated by intervention for 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week, for a total of 6 weeks. Results: There was significant difference in the thickness of the rectus femoris and vastus medial and within-group changes in the Berg balance scale (p <0.05) before and after the experiment in the BFRG and BG groups (p<0.05). There was a significant difference in change between the two groups (p <0.05). Conclusion: There was a significant difference in the intragroup change of the Berg balance scale in the BFRG before and after the experiment, but there was no significant difference in the BG, and there was no significant difference in the change between the two groups.
Purpose: This study examined the effects of knee extension exercise using blood flow restriction on the changes in the thickness and static balance ability of the tendon of the rectus femoris muscle and achilles tendon. Methods: A total of 30 subjects was were divided into two groups of 15 subjects each. The changes in the thickness and balance of their tendons were measured by ultrasonography and balance equipment. The measurements were taken three times: before the experiment, 4 weeks after, and 8 weeks after. The results were analyzed by repeated measure ANOVA, one-way ANOVA was conducted in cases where there were time-to-group interactions in the intra-individual effects test. Results: Significant differences in the thickness of the tendon of the rectus femoris muscle and Achilles tendon were found between the groups, over time, and in the time-to-group interactions (p<0.05). The changes in balance in both feet when the supporting positions between eye-open and eye-closed states were significantly different in the time-to-group interactions (p<0.05), but were not different between the groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: Knee extension exercise using blood flow restriction leads to significant differences in the increase in tendon thickness and changes in balance, indicating that the results of this study can be utilized as basic data for future studies and for rehabilitation treatment at clinics.
In the present study, the characteristic of warpage and flow balance for family mould, which is able to mold parts with different shapes in a mold, is considered. To obtain an optimal gate and runner system, plastic injection molding analysis with commercial code is performed. Design and manufacturing of family mould is then carried out on the basis of this computer aided engineering result. Flow balance and warpage comparisons between experiment and numerical analysis give good agreement with each other. However, it was shown that results of warpage measured by CMM was about $20\~55\%$ lower than those of numerical analysis.
This study introduces an optimization methodology for the determination of gate location that ensures the melt flow balance within a part cavity of injection mold. A new sequential direct-search scheme based on the recursive reduction of the designer-specified gate design area is developed, and it is integrated with a commercial flow simulation tool for optimization. To quantify the level of melt flow balance, we employ the maximum difference among the fill times for the melt fronts to reach the boundary elements of part cavity as objective function. The proposed methodology is successfully applied in the case study of melt flow balancing in molding of a bar code scanner model. The result shows that the melt flow balance at the optimized gate positions is significantly improved from that for the initial gate position.
The typical hydraulic system of hoist is composed of a hydraulic supply unit, a directional control valve, counter balance valve, and flow control valves. The flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves should be adjusted so that the hoist is operated at moderate speed and the hydraulic energy loss is minimized. However, it is difficult to adjust the flow coefficients of flow control valves by trial and error for optimal operation. Here, the steady state model of the hoist hydraulic system including the differential cylinder circuit is derived and the optimal flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves are obtained using the complex method that is one kind of constrained direct search method.
To estimate water balance of Pyosun watershed in Jeju Island, a three-dimensional finite difference model MODFLOW was applied. Moreover, the accuracy of groundwater flow modeling was evaluated through the comparison of the recharge rate by flow modeling and the existing one from water balance model. The modeling result under the steady-state condition indicates that groundwater flow direction was from Mt. Halla to the South Sea and groundwater gradient was gradually lowered depending on the elevation. Annual recharge rate by the groundwater flow modeling in Pyosun watershed was calculated to 236 million $m^3/year$ and it was found to be very low as compared to the recharge rate 238 million $m^3/year$ by the existing water balance model. Therefore, groundwater flow modeling turned out to be useful to estimate the recharge rate in Pyosun watershed and it would be available to make groundwater management policy for watershed in the future.
An experimental study on the structure of a separated shear layer downstream of the backward-facing step has been performed by examining mean flow and turbulent quantities in terms of free stream turbulence. When free stream turbulence exists, the entrainment rate of the separated shear layer and the flow rate in the recirculation region are enhanced, resulting in shorter reattachment length. The production and diffusion terms in the turbulent kinetic energy balance are shown to increase more than the dissipation term does. Rapid decrease of the pressure-strain term in the shear stress balance implies the enhancement of the three-dimensional motion by free stream turbulence.
A numerical analysis is performed to evaluate mass flow balance in the heat exchanger for the dehumidifier. To improve the mass flow balance for maximum heat transfer performance, inlet, outlet and baffle are changed. Mass flow balance is evaluated by non-uniformity of flow which is the same concept with the standard deviation. Usually, there will occur many paths between the inlet and the outlet, however, it will follow shortest and low resistance ways. The uniform distribution of flow is numerically analyzed for several types of heat exchangers. Making the shortest way between the inlet and the outlet is most important factor. Two types of heat exchangers are installed in the dehumidifier and 4 cases of Type A heat exchangers and 3 cases of Type B heat exchangers are evaluated and optimized. The result of this research is applied to design heat exchanger for commercial dehumidifiers.
Injection molding industries realize the necessity of developing family molds to improve competitiveness. One of the primary causes of manufacturing defective products is the imbalance of flow in a family mold. In this study, the family mold of a shelf for refrigerators is analyzed by using CAE software. First, the flow balance, clamping force, and injection pressure are analyzed for different gate diameters of two cavities. Second, the flow balance, clamping force, and injection pressure are improved when the two gate valves are open at different times. Finally, the results of filling analysis are compared with the test injection product.
