다목적 잠수 지원선의 소음해석 및 소음특성 검토 (A Study on the Evaluation of Noise Characteristics for Multi-purpose Dive Support Vessel)

  • The noise characteristics of multi-purpose dive support vessel show the different patterns such as types of noise sources, accommodation arrangement and etc due to its operation. Especially, the tunnel and retractable thruster for the dynamic positioning should be considered at the noise analysis. The floating floor is selected as the main measure of noise reduction and is constructed at the deck near the noise sources. In this paper, the noise analysis of dive support vessel is based on the estimation of noise sources and floating floor and SEA (Statistical Energy Analysis) is used for analysis of the air-born noise and structure-borne noise. The noise analysis of air conditioning system is also carried out and the noise results of cabin room are reviewed.

  • Recently, the Korean government announced a plan to activate renewable energies, with focus on clean energy sources such as solar and wind power as the core and the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Unlike other photovoltaic (PV) systems, offshore PV installations are advantageous for large-scale expansion because of the ease of securing sites; they also enable lowering the power generation costs based on construction of large-scale power facilities of megawatt class or higher owing to low noise and landscape damage. However, any power generation should proceed with consideration of the special environmental conditions of the ocean. Above all, when installing large-scale facilities, it is important to reduce fluctuations of the structure and secure stability to actively respond to waves. This study is concerned with the development of a floating body technology that actively responds to waves so as to enable commercialization of offshore solar power. A unit platform for research and development on offshore PV generation was installed in the Saemangeum sea, and the structural fluctuations and stability were analyzed to ensure conformity with the major performance indicators.

Mooring Tension and Motion Characteristics of a Floating Fish Reef with Pipe in Waves and Currents Using Numerical Model

  • The mooring line tension and motion response of a floating fish reef system were analyzed using a Morison equation type numerical model. The reef structure was constructed with pipe and suspended up from the bottom with a single, high tension mooring. Input forcing parameters into the model consisted of both regular and random waves, with and without currents. Heave, surge and pitch dynamic calculations were made, along with the tension response in the mooring lines. Results were analyzed in both the time and frequency domains and where appropriate, linear transfer functions were calculated. In addition, damped and natural periods of the system were determined to examine a resonating situation.

  • In this research, the submersible fish cage was designed to avoid structural and biological damage during harsh sea conditions. The submersible cage system consists of netting, mooring ropes, a floating collar, floats, sinkers and anchors. Whole elements of the cage were modeled on the mass-spring model. The computer simulations were carried out to investigate the dynamic behavior of the cage and to calculate mooring line tension subjected to tidal currents and waves. As expected, the tension values in the mooring line of the submerged position are 36% less compared to that of the surface cage under the same loading conditions. As the wave was used in combination with the current velocity of 1m/s, the average tensile load for the submerged cage showed 85% of the value for the floating cage. The simulation results provide an improved understanding of the behaviors of the structure and valuable information on the optimized design of the cage system exposed to open ocean environmental factors.

  • The structure of a variable liquid column oscillator(VLCO) is analogous to that of the tuned liquid column damper used to suppress oscillatory motion in large structures like tall buildings and cargo ships. The VLCO is a system for absorbing the high kinetic energy of the accelerated motions of multiple floating bodies using an air-spring effect produced the installation of inner air chambers. Thus, a VLCO can improve the energy efficiency of the activating object type of wave energy converters made by the Pelamis Company. In this research, an experiment was performed in two cases: with the top valves closed and open. The floating bodies were connected by hinges. The effect of the internal flow was estimated by comparing the results for the closed and open valves.

부유식 진자형 파력발전장치의 연결부 최종강도해석 (Ultimate Strength Analysis of Connections of Floating Pendulum Wave Energy Converter)

  • 부유식 해양구조물은 설계수명동안 파랑에 의한 압축력, 굽힘하중, 전단력 등의 작용으로 인해 좌굴이 발생할 가능성이 높다. 이는 부재의 면내 강성 저하를 유발하여 국부 구조물 뿐만 아니라 전체구조의 최종강도에도 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 부유식 진자형 파력발전장치의 수실부와 감쇠판을 연결하는 원통부재의 최종강도에 대해 조사하였다. 탄성좌굴해석을 통해 얻어진 1차 좌굴모드를 초기처짐으로 가정하여 탄소성대변형해석을 수행하였으며 최종강도 특성을 바탕으로 부유식 파력발전장치의 연결부인 원통부재의 최적설계인자를 도출하였다. 이를 통해, 원통부재의 직경을 크게하거나, 판의 두께를 두껍게 하는 방법과 보강재를 사용하여 단면적을 크게하는 것이 최종강도를 증가시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 플로팅 엘엔지선박은 해상에서 LNG 생산 및 천연 가스 공급을 담당하는 새로운 개념으로 부유식 생산설비는 과도한 투자 비용으로 인해 개발 지연중인 한계 가스전에 활력을 주고 있으며, 부유식 공급설비는 육상 LNG 인수기지 인프라가 미비한 지역에 에너지를 경제적이며 효과적으로 공급할 수 있다는 장점을 제공하고 있다. LNG 화물창은 플로팅 엘엔지선박에서 생산 또는 적재된 LNG를 보관하는 주요기능 중 하나이다. 본 연구를 통해 기존 화물창 시스템들의 장점을 결합한 복합 화물창 시스템을 화물창 시스템의 설계 개선방안으로 제안하였고 플로팅 엘엔지선박에의 적용 타당성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다.

Characteristics of Wave Exciting Forces on a Very Large Floating Structure with Submerged-Plate

  • In this study, we focus on the submerged plate built into the Very Large Floating Structure with the partial openings of Sm long, which enables the reverse flow of incident wave to generate the wave breaking. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of wave exciting forces acting on the submerged plate and the fore part of VLFS. Firstly, we have carried out the extensive experiments to understand the characteristics of the wave exciting forces. Then we have performed the numerical simulations by applying the Marker and Cell method (MAC method) and compared with the experimental results. We discuss the validity of MAC method and the effects of the submerged plate on the motion of VLFS. As a result, we get the conclusion that the submerged plate is useful for reducing the wave exciting forces acting on the structure behind the submerged plate.

공공서비스 시설 중 (혐오시설)의 기피 현상 해결을 위한 해양 플로팅 건축 적용방안 연구 (A Study on the Way to Apply Oceanic Floating architecture for resolve to evading Unpleasant Facilities : focused on Public Service Facilities)

  • Currently the locations of Unpleasant Facilities, especially surrounding the site selections, have been causing conflicts among the national government, many local governments and local residents. These Unpleasant Facilities must be necessary facilities for people's modern cultural lives, but there is no obvious solution that will make us all pleasant for the locations of them until now. In this study, we'll focused on applying the Floating architecture, one of the variety of marine structures, as an alternative location of Public service facilities accommodating Unpleasant Facilities which are classified as public service facilities. Of course, there should be beforehand studies in which we can define Unpleasant Facilities and analyse the conflicts surrounding the locations of them, and we can suggest that applying the Floating architecture should be the very solution to solve all these problems together. And as our main study, we should research and develop the structure and construction, maintenance and management of the Floating architecture which will be applied to the Unpleasant Facilities, together with the environmental considerations of their emergence on the waters. In future, to secure Unpleasant Facilities sites will become more and more difficult, and so Various kinds of public service facilities will have to be the subject to the floating construction.
