나노 템플레이트를 이용한 마이크로 히트 싱크 (Fabrication of Micro-Heatsink using Nanotemplate)

  • 반도체 칩이나 전자제품에 사용되는 부품들은 작동할 때 발열을 하게 되며 발생한 열이 적절히 제거되지 않을 경우 제품 오작동의 원인이 된다. 이러한 열을 제거하기 위해 히트싱크(heatsink)와 냉각 팬 (cooling fan)을 조합한 냉각 구조가 사용된다. 그러나 히트싱크와 냉각 팬의 조합 구조는 복잡한 형상을 취하기 때문에 전기 전자 제품의 소형화 추세에 부응하기에는 어려움이 따른다. 냉각 효율은 히트싱크의 표면적과 히트싱크 제조시 사용된 재료에 따라 달라진다. 일반적인 냉각 구조의 한계를 극복하기 위한 방안으로써, Trach-etched 멤브레인의 표면과 기공(pore)에 무전해 금도금과 구리 도금을 실행하여 크기는 작으면서 표면적을 증가시킨 마이크로 히트싱크를 제조하였다. 제조한 마이크로 히트싱크의 구조는 주사현미경(SEM)과 광학 현미경으로 관찰하였으며, 일반적인 구리보다 열효율이 우수함을 방열 특성 실험을 통해 관찰하였다.

경량벽체 표면의 패임에 대한 시각적 판단방법에 관한 기초적 연구 (A basic study on Visual judgment method for the Dent of Lightweight wall surface)

  • Recently, there has been a rapid increase in demand for lightweight walls for their use as interior partitions, as types of structure have gradually changed from shear wall structures to column structures or flat plate column wall systems. The lack of resisting force in lightweight walls is found by measuring the depth of dents in impact resistance tests, but it is not a direct factor of impact resistance. However, in the user's position, dents of over a certain size are clearly a factor that visually reminds the need for repair. In this study, we reviewed relative methods of assessment of the need for repair based on the visual means of determination (sensory test) on the dents on lightweight walls. Dents were found to stand out starting from depths of about 4mm, and the depth of roughly 5mm was found to be the criterion for determining the necessity of repair for men, while it was 4mm for women.

고분자전해필 연료전지 분리판용 316 스테인리스강의 전기전도도에 미치는 Nb, Ti 첨가 및 표면처리 효과 (Effects of Nb and Ti Addition and Surface Treatments on the Electrical Conductivity of 316 Stainless Steel as Bipolar Plates for PEMFC)

  • Nb and Ti were added to 316 stainless steel, and then heat-treatments and surface treatments were performed on the 316 stainless steel and the Nb- and Ti-added alloys. All samples indicated enhanced electrical conductivity after surface treatments, whereas they showed low electrical conductivity before surface treatments due to the existence of non-conductive passive film on the alloy surface. In particular, the Hb- and Ti-added alloys showed remarkable enhancement of electrical conductivity compared to the original alloy, 316 stainless steel. Surface characterization revealed that small carbide particles formed on the alloy surface after surface treatments, while the alloys indicated flat surface structure before surface treatments. $Cr_{23}C_6$ mainly formed on the 316 stainless steel, and NbC and TiC mainly formed on the Nb- and Ti-added alloys, respectively. We attribute the enhanced electrical conductivity after surface treatments to the formation of these carbide particles, possibly acting as a means of electro-conductive channel through the passive film. Furthermore, NbC and TiC are supposed to be more effective carbides than $Cr_{23}C_6$ as electro-conductive channels of stainless steel

유한요소해석 기반 원전 기계구조물 충격-질량지표 개발 (Development of FEA-based Metal Sphere Signal Map for Nuclear Power Plant Structure)

  • For safe operation of nuclear power plants, a loose-part monitoring system (LPMS) is used to detect and locate loose-parts within the reactor coolant system, and to estimate their mass and damage potential. There are several methods to estimate mass, such as the center frequency method based on the Hertz's impact theory, a frequency ratio method and so on, but it is known that these methods cannot provide accurate information on impact response for identifying the impact source. Thanks to increasing computing power, finite element analysis (FEA) method recently become an available option to calculate reliably impact response behavior. In this paper, a finite element analysis model to simulate the propagation behavior of the bending wave, generated by a metal ball impact, is validated by performing a series of impact tests and the corresponding finite element analyses for flat plate and shell structures. Also, a FEA-based metal sphere signal map is developed, and then blind tests are performed to verify the map. This study provides an accurate simulation method for predicting the metal impact behavior and for building a metal sphere signal map, which can be used to estimate the mass of loose-parts on site in nuclear power plants.

2-프레임 PTV를 이용한 수직벽 주위 유동장 해석 (Velocity Field Measurement of Flow Around a Surface-Mounted Vertical Fence Using the Two-Frame PTV System)

  • The turbulent shear flow around a surface-mounted vertical fence was investigated using the two-frame PTV system. The Reynolds number based on the fence height(H) was 2950. From this study, it is revealed that at least 400 instantaneous velocity field data are required for ensemble average to get reliable turbulence statistics, but only 100 field data are sufficient for the time-averaged mean velocity information. Various turbulence statistics such as turbulent intensities, turbulence kinetic energy and Reynolds shear stress were calculated from 700 instantaneous velocity vector fields. The fence flow has an unsteady recirculation region behind the fence, followed by a slow relaxation to the flat-plate boundary layer flow. The time-averaged reattachment length estimated from the streamline distribution is about 11.2H. There exists a region of negative Reynolds shear stress near the fence top due to the highly convex (stabilizing) streamline-curvature of the upstream flow. The large eddy structure in the separated shear layer seems to have significant influence on the development of the separated shear layer and the reattachment process.

  • An acoustic finite element model of a bridge is developed to evaluate the noise generated by the traffic-induced vibration of the bridge. The dynamic response of a multi-girder bridge, modeled by a 3-dimensional frame element model, is analyzed with a 3-axle(8DOF) truck model and a 5-axle(l3DOF) semi-trailer. The flat plate element is used to analyze the acoustic pressure due to the fluid-structure interactions between the vibrating surface and contiguous acoustic fluid medium. The radiation fields of noise with a specified distribution of vibrating velocity and pressure on the structural surface are also computed using the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral. In an attempt to illustrate the influence of the structural vibration noise of a bridge to total noise level around the bridge, the random function is used to generate the vehicle noise source including the engine noise and the rolling noise interacting between the road and tire. Among the diverse parameters affecting the dynamic response of bridge, the vehicle velocity, the vehicle weight, the spatial distribution of the road surface roughness, the stiffness degradation of the bridge and the variation of the air temperature changing the air density are found to be the main factors that increase the level of vibration noise. Consequently, The amplification rate of noise increases with the traveling speed and the vehicle weight.

  • 국방과학연구소 풍동실험실에서는 회전익 항공기 개발에 소요되는 관련 풍동시험 기법의 확립과 형상연구 관련 시험자료의 확보를 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구는 회전익 항공기 동체구성품의 형상조합에 따른 항력증분과 안정성 평가를 위한 공기역학적 특성의 추출을 목적으로 하였으며, 풍동시험에는 모듈화된 1:8 축척의 회전익 항공기 동체형상과 500 rpm으로 회전하는 로터허브의 부분모형이 사용되었다. 시험결과들을 기존의 유사 항공기 시험결과들과 비교하였으며, 기존 연구결과들과 잘 부합됨을 확인하였다.

루우버휜형 열교환기의 열전달특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Heat Transfer Characteristics in the Louvered-Fin Type Heat Exchanger)

  • Experiment was performed to study the heat transfer characteristics in 27 kinds of 15 : 1 scale models of multi-louverred fin heat exchangers with a wide range of variables(R $e_{Lp}$ =100~1, 800, $L_p$/F$p$=0.3~0.9, $\theta$=20$^{\circ}$~40$^{\circ}$). Thermofoil heaters were used to heat the louver fins and the local average Nusselt number for each louver in the louver array was obtained at constant wall temperature conditions. Correlations are developed to predict the heat transfer characteristics and drag coefficients. Generally, the heat transfer characteristics in the multi-louvered fins is shown to be similar to those of the laminar heat transfer on a flat plate. As the Reynolds number, the louver pitch to fin pitch ratio$L_p$/F$p$and the louver angle($\theta$) increase respectively, the average Nusselt number increases, but the variation of average Nusselt number as a function of the louver angle is smaller than that as a function of the louver pitch to fin pitch ratio. In case of$L_p$/F$p$ <0.5, the average Nusselt number of the 3rd louver is especially lower than the others, it is expected that it is due to the flow structure such as a recirculation flow and a flow separation.

면진층을 가지는 1/10 축소된 15층 무량판 아파트건물의 진동대 실험 (Shaking Table Test of a 1/10 Scale Isolated Fifteen-story Flat Plate Apartment Building)

  • 본 논문은 적층고무형베어링을 갖는 15층 면진 무량판 아파트건물의 내진거동을 진동대실험을 통하여 검증한 결과를 제시하고 있다. 진동대실험은 중국의 CABR에서 1/10규모의 모형실험체를 대상으로 수행되었다. 실험의 진행은 4개의 지진파를 이용하여 X, Y, X+Y방향으로 다양한 크기의 지진동이 입력되었다. 실험결과, 비 면진건물은 중진레벨에서 진동주기가 현저히 감소하고, 비선형적인 거동을 보였으며, 가속도가 건물의 높이에 따라 현저하게 증가하고, 층간변위도 허용한계를 넘는 거동을 보였다. 반면, 면진건물은 중진레벨에서 거의 일정한 진동주기의 탄성적인 거동을 나타내었으며, 지진하중과 층 가속도가 현저하게 감소하는 응답을 나타내었다. 또한 면진층의 변위는 허용범위 내에서 거동하고, 층간변위는 무시할 수 있을 만큼 작은 강체거동을 나타내었다. 결론적으로 면진은 건물에 대한 지진의 영향을 감소시키는데 매우 효과적이며, 층 가속도의 감소를 통하여 사용성을 증가시키고, 건물 내 설비 등을 안전하게 보호할 수 있음이 입증되었다.

초음속 유동 내 공동을 이용한 수직 분사 혼합 및 연료 침투거리에 관한 연구 (Mixing and Penetration Studies of Transverse Jet into a Supersonic Crossflow)

  • 마하 1.92 초음속 유동 내에서 평판, 작은 공동, 큰 공동을 사용하여 운동량비(J)에 따른 연료 혼합 실험을 수행하였다. 공동 후면 경사부는 연료의 침투거리를 급격히 증가시키며, 경사부에서 형성되는 이차원 충격파는 후류부의 충격파 구조와 혼합층에 주요한 영향을 미친다. 운동량비가 증가함에 따라(J = 0.9, 1.7, 3.4) 연료의 침투거리가 증가하지만, 후류부에서는 운동량비가 증가하더라도 연료 침투거리는 특정 지점 이상 증가하지 않았다. 큰 공동의 경우 다른 모델에 비해 좋은 혼합 효율을 보이지만 압력 손실 또한 증가하는 경향을 보인다.
