Flash butt weldability of 590MPa dual phase steel is carried out under micro metallographical examination and macro mechanical property tests. The objective of present study is to investigate the cause that brings on bond line fracture, and is to improve mechanical properties of the flash butt welded joint. The joint of flash butt welding has a superior tensile property, but has bad formability due to oxide formed at bond interface. The HAZ softening in the weld joint does not show. It was found that mechanical properties were increased with optimizing welding parameters and making application of oil dripping and post-weld heat treatment.

Flash butt welding is applied in many industries. New technology was developed recently for joining billets which called "EBROS (Endless Bar Rolling System)". After reheating billets in furnace, two billets were joined using flash butt welding. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of alloying elements on mechanical properties of flash butt welded zone of hot rolled steel bar. The tensile properties on welded zone of Fe-Mn steel and Fe-Mn-V steel were dropped as compared with non-welded zone. Fe-Mn-Nb steel was opposed to the former. It was found that the white band at the welded zone had high ferrite volume fraction and large ferrite grain size. The vertical white band between flash butt welded billets was transformed into an arrowhead it of steel bar. According to this band, softening has been appeared. There was a interesting phenomenon with HAZ of Fe-Mn-Nb Steel, 40nm scale of particles were observed and hardness of HAZ was higher than non-welded zone.

Continuously welded tracks, first introduced on train lines, are being used increasingly in Europe. And the different arc welding methods are only used on minor lines, private tracks and in the manufacturing of switches and crossings. Mobile flash butt welding belongs the future in rail welding on side if new tracks have to be erected. The following contribution reviews the processes available, usual test methods for welded rail joints and various applications.

In track a third weakness point is joint part, turnout part, curve part. One of them joint part of rail have been known to the most weak point by loosen of joint bar and fish bolt due to impulse and vibration by wheel contact at times. In addition happen to deformation and failure at end of rail, failure and miniature of ballast gravel. Finally impact between wheel and rail become origin cause of a welded rail, noise and vibration. riding condition deterioration, besides track failure. In the present domestic, Thermite and Gas pressure weldings have been used to continuous welded rail(CWR), however stiffness and confidence in quality is lower than Flash butt welding method. FRW have the excellent capacity, however have a shortcoming large scale of machine and power equipment. Therefore we will introduce Mobile Flash Butt Welder can weld in track.
