Abstract In the cipher system using the synchronous stream cipher system, encryption / decryption cause the synchronization loss (of key arrangement) by cycle slip, then it makes incorrect decrypted data. To lessen the risk, we have used a periodic synchronous cipher system which achieve synchronization at fixed timesteps by inserting synchronization signal and session key. In this paper, we solved the problem(fault) like the transfer efficiency drops by a periodic synchronous method, the periodic generations of different session key, and the incorrectness increases by continuing synchronization loss in next time step. They are achieved by the transfer of a non-periodic synchronous signal which carries synchronous signal and session key when it is less than the threshold value, analyzing the address field of point-to-point protocol, using the receiving rate of address bits information and flag patterns in the decision duration, in providing data services by CDMA mobile network. When the proposed algorithm is applied to the synchronous stream cipher system using point-to-point protocol, which is used data link level in CDMA mobile network, it has advanced the result in Rerror and Derror and in transmission rate, by the use of 3.84$\times$105bits, not 6.45$\times$107bits required in periodic synchronous method, having lsec time step, in slip rate 10-7.

The synchronous stream cipher has the problem of synchronization loss by cycle slip. Synchronization loss make the state which sender and receiver can't communicate and it may make the receiving system disordered. To lessen the risk, we usually use a continuous resynchronization which achieve resynchronization at fixed timesteps by inserting synchronization pattern and session key. While we can get effectively resynchronizationby continuous resynchronization, there are some problems. In this paper, we proposed an adaptive resynchronization algorithm for cipher system using LAPB protocol. It is able to solve the problem of the continunous resynchronization. The proposed adaptive algorithm make resynchronization only in the case that the resynchronization is occurred by analyzing the address field of LAPB. It measure the receiving rate of the address field in the decesion duration. If the receiving rate is smaller than threshold value, it make resynchronization or not. By using adaptively resynchronization, it solves the problems of continunous resynchronization. When the proposed adaptive algorithm is applied to the synchronous stream cipher system which is used in X.25 packet network, it reduced the time for resynchronization by ten times. It means that 11.3% of total data for transmit is compressed.
In this study, Helikite, Low Altitude Remote Sensing (LARS) platform, was used to acquire coastal images. In the obtained image, the land and water masses were divided using four types of region clustering algorithms, and then waterline was extracted using edge detection. Quantitative comparisons were not possible due to the lack of in-situ waterline data. But, based on the image of the infrared band where water masses and land are relatively clear, the waterlines extracted by each algorithm were compared. As a result, it was found that each algorithm differed significantly in the part where the distinction between water masses and land was ambiguous. This is considered to be a difference in the process of selecting the threshold value of the digital number that each algorithm uses to distinguish the regions. The extraction of waterlines through various algorithms is expected to be used in conjunction with a Low Altitude Remote Sensing system that can be continuously monitored in the future to explain the rapid changes in coastal shape through several years of long-term data from fixed areas.

There have been studied with activity about color standard due to extention of digital contents' application area. Therefore the studies in relation to the standard are needed to represent image's feature as color. Also the methods to extract color's feature to be apt to various application are needed. In this paper, we set the base color as 50 colors from Munsell color system, get the color histogram to show the characteristics of colors's distribution of a image, and propose the method to extract representative colors from the histogram. Firstly, we convert a input image of RGB color space to a image of HSI color space and split the image into hue area and non-hue area. To split hue area and non-hue area, we use a fixed threshold and a perception-function of color area function to reflect the subjective vision of human-being. We compute histograms from each area and then make a total histogram from the histogram of hue area and the histogram of hue area, and extract the representative colors from the histogram. To evaluate the proposed method, we made 18 test images, applied conventional methods and proposed method to them Also the methods are applied to public images and the results are analyzed. The proposed method represents well the characteristics of the colors' distribution of images and piles up colors' frequency to representative colors. Therefore the representative colors can be applied to various applications
In our daily life, the probability of target prevalence in visual search varies from very low to high. However, most laboratory studies of visual search used a fixed probability of target prevalence at 50%. The present study examined the properties of information processing during visual search where the probability of target prevalence was manipulated to vary from low (20%), medium (50%), to high (80%). The search items were made of simple shape stimuli, and search accuracy, signal detection measures, and reaction times (RTs) were analyzed for characterizing the effect of target prevalence on the information processing strategies for visual search. The analyses showed that the rates of misses increased whereas those of false alarms decreased in the search condition of low target prevalence, whereas the pattern was reversed in the high prevalence condition. Signal detection measures revealed that the target prevalence shifted response criterion (c) without affecting sensitivity (d'). In addition, RTs for correct rejection responses in the target-absent trials became delayed as the prevalence increased, whereas those for hits in the target-present trials were relatively constant regardless of the prevalence. The RT delay in the target-absent trials indicates that increased target prevalence made the 'quitting threshold' for search termination more conservative. These results support an account that the target prevalence effect in visual search arises from a shift of decision criteria and the subsequent changes in search information processing, while rejecting the account of a speed-accuracy tradeoff.

The synchronous stream cipher which require absoulte clock synchronization has the problem of synchronization loss by cycle slip. Synchronization loss makes the state which sender and receiver can't communicate with each other and it may break the receiving system. To lessen the risk, we usually use a continuous resynchronization method which achieve resynchronization at fixed timesteps by inserting synchronization pattern and session key. While we can get resynchronization effectively by continuous resynchroniation, there are some problems. In this paper, we proposed an adaptive resynchronization algorithm for cipher system using HDLC protocol. It is able to solve the problem of the continuous resynchronization. The proposed adaptive algorithm make resynchronization only in the case that the resynchronization is occurred by analyzing the address field of HDLC. It measures the receiving rate of theaddress field in the decision duration. Because it make resynchronization only when the receiving rate is greateer than the threshold value, it is able to solve the problems of continuous resynchronization method. When the proposed adaptive algorithm is applied to the synchronous stream cipher system in packet netork, it has addvance the result in R_e and D_e.
This study was carried out to clarify changes in community structure of Quercus acutissima dominant stand on the south slope of Mt. Danseok-san with fixed twenty quadrates. Five field surveys were conducted from Aug. 1999 to May 2018. During the period, the density lessened to 0.20 in 2012 comparing with 0.33 in 1999. However recent field study in 2018 showed moderate rising to 0.24. In 1999, the DBH class distribution of all trees formed reverse J curve. However, the reverse J curve was torn down, forming bell curve. In 2018, the curve showed similar shape of reverse J shape on the group of young trees, forming bell shape on the group of mature trees. It reveals that DBH 13cm is on the threshold of trees competition trend where the downtrend in the trees are on uptrend. The most dominant Q. acutissima formed bell curve. The peak of the curve shows the shift to the right of the graph as it gets lower by year.In case of Q. mongolica, shows a change in the shape of a low bell as the distribution curve increases. The oak stand in this study is in the process of changing from the initial stage of the secondary forest succession to the intermediate stage. The most dominant tree is Q. acutissima, and the sub-dominant tree is Q. mongolica in present. Considering the age distribution of the two competing tree species, the succession of this stand is expected to transfer to the Q. mongolica-dominant community.

The sweetpotato whitefly (SPW), Bemisia tabaci Gennadius, is a major pest in tomato greenhouses on Jeju Island because they transmit viral diseases. To develop practical sampling methods for adult SPWs, yellow-color sticky traps were used in commercial tomato greenhouses throughout the western part of Jeju Island in 2011 and 2012. On the basis of the size and growing conditions in the tomato greenhouses, 20 to 30 traps were installed in each greenhouse for developing a sampling plan. Adult SPWs were more attracted to horizontal traps placed 60 cm above the ground than to vertical trap placed 10 cm above the plant canopy. The spatial patterns of the adult SPWs were evaluated using Taylor's power law (TPL) and Iwao's patchiness regression (IPR). The results showed that adult SPWs were aggregated in each surveyed greenhouse. In this study, TPL showed better performance because of the coefficient of determination ($r^2$). On the basis of the fixed-precision level sampling plan using TPL parameters, more traps were required for higher precision in lower SPW densities per trap. A sequential sampling stop line was constructed using TPL parameters. If the treatment threshold was greater than 10 maximum adult SPWs on a trap, the required traps numbered 15 at a fixed-precision level of 0.25. In estimating the mean density per trap, the proportion of traps with two or more adult SPWs was more efficient than whole counting: ${\ln}(m)=1.19+0.90{\ln}(-{\ln}(1-p_T))$. The results of this study could be used to prevent the dissemination of SPW as a viral disease vector by using accurate control decision in SPW management programs.
Purpose: Determining an appropriate thresholding is crucial for PDG PET analysis since strong control of Type I error could fail to find pathological differences between eariy Alzheimer' disease (AD) patients and healthy normal controls. We compared the SPM results on FDG PET imaging of early AD using uncorrected p-value, random-field based corrected p-value and false discovery rate (FDR) control. Materials and Methods: Twenty-eight patients ($66{\pm}7$ years old) with early AD and 18 age-matched normal controls ($68{\pm}6$ years old) underwent FDG brain PET. To identify brain regions with hypo-metabolism in group or individual patient compared to normal controls, group images or each patient's image was compared with normal controls usingthe same fixed p-value of 0.001 on uncorrected thresholding, random-field based corrected thresholding and FDR control. Results: The number of hypo-metabolic voxels was smallest in corrected p-value method, largest in uncorrected p-value method and intermediate in FDG thresholding in group analysis. Three types of result pattern were found. The first was that corrected p-value did not yield any voxel positive but FDR gave a few significantly hypometabolic voxels (8/28, 29%). The second was that both corrected p-value and FDR did not yield any positive region but numerous positive voxels were found with the threshold of uncorrected p-values (6/28, 21%). The last was that FDR was detected as many positive voxels as uncorrected p-value method (14/28, 50%). Conclusions FDR control could identify hypo-metaboiic areas in group or individual patients with early AD. We recommend FDR control instead of uncorrected or random-field corrected thresholding method to find the areas showing hypometabolism especially in small group or individual analysis of FDG PET.

Purpose: Cathepsin D(CD) is a lysosomal acid proteinase that is related to malignant progression, invasion, and a poor prognosis in several tumors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic clinical significance of CD and p53 expression in pretreatment biopsy specimens from patients with locally advanced rectal cancer who were treated with preoperative chemoradiation. Materials and Methods: Eighty-nine patients with locally advanced rectal cancer(cT3/T4 or N+) were included in this study. Preoperative chemoradiation consisted of a dose of 50.4 Gy of pelvic radiation and two concurrent cycles of administration of 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin. Surgery was performed six weeks after chemoradiation. CD and p53 expression in pretreatment formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tumor biopsy specimens were assessed by immunohistochemical staining using a CD and p53 monoclonal antibodies. The threshold value for a positive stain in tumor tissue and stromal cells was 1+ intensity in 10% of the tumors or stromal cells, respectively. Results: Positive CD expression was found in 57(64%) of the tumors and 32(35%) of the stromal cell specimens. There was no association with CD expression of the tumor or stromal cells and patient characteristics. There was a correlation between tumor CD expression with stromal cell CD expression(p=0.01). Overexpression of p53 was not a significant prognostic factor. The 5-year overall survival(OS) and disease-free survival(DFS) rates were not different between tumor CD-negative and positive patient biopsy samples(69% vs. 65%, 60% vs. 61%, respectively). The 5-year OS rates in the tumor-negative/stromal cell-negative, tumor-negative/stromal cell-positive, tumor-positive/stromal cell-negative and tumor-positive/stromal cell-positive biopsy samples were 75%, 28%, 62%, and 73%, respectively. Stromal cell staining only without positive tumor staining demonstrated the worst overall survival prognosis for patients(p=0.013). Conclusion: Overexpression of p53 in rectal biopy tissue was not associated with prognostic significance. In the pretreatment biopsy specimens, an exclusive increase in CD expression in stromal cells without tumor expression was related to poor overall survival in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer treated with preoperative chemoradiation.
