파랑.흐름 공존장에서의 철도차량 인공어초의 수리학적 특성 (Hydraulic Characteristics of Train Carriage Artificial Reef in Wave and Current Field Conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 해양수산자원 및 레크리에이션 증진을 위한 프로그램의 일부로 개발된 철도차량 인공어초의 수리학적 안정성 평가를 위해 수리모형실험을 수행하였다. Froude 상사법칙을 적용한 고정상 및 이동상 수리모형실험에서는 설계외력(파랑, 흐름 등)에 상당하는 조건에 따라 이론적/실험적 검토를 수행하였다. 실험결과로서 파랑-흐름공존장에서 어초의 안정성에 영향을 미치는 무차원 영향인자(설계파라메타)로서 쇄파상사지수, 수립자속도, 세굴/퇴적 등이 있으며, 고정상 실험에서 어초의 활동을 일으키는 한계조건은 쇄파상사지수에 따라서 무차원 최대수립자속도가 약 0.32 이상일 때 나타났다. 또한 이동상 실험에서 침하량(현장치)은 6~30cm이었다. 실험결과를 바탕으로 어초의 활동에 작용하는 외력의 방향과 저질 특성이 어초 시설적지를 선정할 때 반드시 고려되어야 함을 알 수 있었다.

고정층 활성탄 흡착반응기에서 기상 톨루엔의 흡착특성 (Adsorption Characteristics of Toluene Vapor in Fixed-bed Activated Carbon Column)

  • Adsorption characteristics of toluene vapor, which is one of important source of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), by activated carbon were investigated using a fixed bed adsorption column. The operating parameters such as breakthrough curve, adsorption capacity, mass transfer zone (MTZ), and length of unused bed (LUB) were studied. The experimental results showed that the breakthrough time decreased with increasing inlet toluene concentration and gas flow rate. MTZ and LUB increased with the increase of inlet concentration, gas flow rate, and particle size of activated carbon. The adsorption capacity increased with the increase of inlet toluene concentration, while it decreased with increasing particle size. However, it was kept at constant value regardless of the increase of gas flow rate. Adsorption isotherm of toluene vapor could be represented by the Freundlich adsorption equation fairly well. From the adsorption experiments using some VOC gases such as toluene, xylene, butyl acetate. butanol and acetone, it was also found that the adsorption capacity was higher in the case of gas with higher boiling point and lower vapor pressure.

활성탄상에서 벤젠과 톨루엔의 흡착특성 (Adsorptive Characteristics of Benzene and Toluene on Activated Carbon)

  • 본 연구는 활성탄이 충진된 고정 흡착층에서 흡착특성에 영향을 줄 수 있는 다양한 변수들, 흡착온도, 흐름속도, 흡착질의 종류와 농도, 형상비(L/D)에 따른 영향이 조사되었다. 고정층내의 파과시간은 흡착온도, 흐름속도와 흡착질의 농도가 증가함에 따라 감소하였다. 또한 고정 흡착층의 파과곡선으로부터 얻어지는 물질전달영역(mass transfer zone)과 미사용길이(length of unused bed)는 흡착가스 유속, 흡착가스의 농도 및 흡착온도에 영향을 많이 받는 반면 고정 흡착층의 형상비에 대한 영향은 상대적으로 작았으며, 이 중에서 흡착가스의 농도에 대한 영향이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 단일성분에 대한 흡착평형실험 데이터를 가장 잘 예측할 수 있는 모델식을 구하기 위해 Langmuir, Freundlich 및 Langmuir-Freundlich 모델식을 적용하여 실험결과와 비교해 보았을 때 세가지 이론식 모두 benzene과 toluene의 흡착평형을 잘 표현하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

대학병원 수익성에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (The determinants of the Profitability of University Hospitals in Korea)

  • This study provides an evidence on the determinants of the profitability of university hospital by analyzing university hospital-level data set of hospital performance during the year 2007 (32 university hospitals in total). For the study, a multiple regression model is employed in which profitability index obtained from the DEA computations, operating margin to total asset and gross revenue are used as the dependent variables, and a number of hospital operating characteristics are chosen as the independent variables such as ownership type, location, bed size, period of establishment, bed occupancy rate, admission ratio of outpatients, patients per medical specialist, personnel cost per patient, liabilities to total assets, current ratio, fixed ratio, total asset turnover, medical assistance rate and public indicator. First, the results indicate that the bed occupancy rate and liabilities to total assets are positively and significantly associated with operating margin to total asset. Second, number of beds, the bed occupancy rate and number of patients per medical specialist are positively and significantly associated with operating margin to gross revenue. Third, the bed occupancy rate, number of patients per medical specialist, liabilities to total assets, total asset turnover are positively and significantly associated with profitability index revealed from DEA.

Tumbling Bed에서 화학증착법에 의해 증착되는 열분해탄소의 특성에 미치는 Silicon-Alloying의 효과 (The Effect of Silicon-Alloying on the Characteristics of the Pyrolytic Carbonds Deposited in Tumbling Bed by CVD)

  • In this study the sillicon-alloyed isotropic pyrolytic carbon was deposited in the tumbling bed from the pyrolysis of propane and silicon tetrachloride and investigated whether the silicon-alloyed isotropic pyrolytic carbon deposited in this study was usable as bionaterial or not. The silicon-allyed isotropic pyrolytic carbon was varied by controlling the process variables such as propane con-concentration and the argon flow rate flowing in to the silicon tetrachloride bubbler at a fixed reaction bed tempera-ture of 120$0^{\circ}C$ a rotation of reaction tube of 40 rpm a bed particle weight of 7.5 g and a total flow rate of 21/min; the propane concentration was varied from 10 to 70 and the argon flow rate flowing into the silicon tetrachloride bubble from 0 to 1000 cc/min. The results show that the silicon-alloyed isotropic pyrolytic carbon was obtained at all conditions investigated, . And then the alloyed silicon content is rangion from 7 to 14.5 wt%. The density and deposition rate of deposited silicon-alloyed isotropic carbon increased axxording to silicon content and propane concentration. And the apparent crystal-size(Lc) of pyrolytic carbon is not changed with silicon content. The density and apparant crystallite size are respec-tively in the range of 1.94 to 2.06 and 20 to 25$\AA$ It is shown that the silicon-alloyed isotropic pyrolytic carbon ob-tained in this experiment is usable as biomaterial.

  • Three Lab-scale combustors of different types were made to observe some basic phenomena of fuel combustion in the combustors ; grate type combustor, rotary kiln and FBC. The aims were to introduce how to simulate the combustion behaviors in the real plants by utilizing the reduced apparatuses and characterize the combustors relating to some important parameters such as fuel size, water contents, bed temperature, rotating speed of kiln, flow rate. The mean carbon conversion time and the flame propagation rate were adopted for the quantitative analysis.

  • The purpose of this study is to induce user to use storage equipment as fixed storage space in urban housing. The object of investigation is limited to the resident of detached and apartment house in Daegu, analysised the problems and their attitueds of using storage equipments amount of cloths and bel-clothes. On the basis of these recommended the optimum volume of storage space for clothes and bed-clothes by family types. Applied to the standard of detached house, the optimum volume of storage space for clothes and bed-clothes in each rooms are as following. 1) The volume of master room is ranged 7.34M3 and 8.65M3 the average is 7.97M3. 2) Children's room is ranged 1.18M3 and 3.26M3, the average is 2.51M3 under number of users and their age. 3) The aged room is calculated average 6.53M3.

  • To predict the service life of an organic vapor respirator cartridge, the breakthrough curve of respirator was simulated using a fixed-bed adsorption model and compared with that of sampling tube. And the effects of bed porosity, length to diameter ratio and flow rate of the sampling tube were studied. The life time of respirator cartridge was increased with the decrease of particle size and bed porosity. And the breakthrough time of sampling tube was affected by the flow rate, however not by the length to diameter ratio. The 10% breakthrough time of the sampling tube was corresponded with that of cartridge.

다양한 종류의 연소로 내 고체 연료의 연소 특성 고찰 (Investigation of Solid Fuel Combustion Characteristics in Various Types of Combustors)

  • This study is aimed to characterize the combustion behavior of solid fuel in the various types of the combustors: stoker, rotary kiln and fluidized bed type combustors. Three different types of reduced-scale combustors are introduced, and temperatures and flue gas compositions are measured for various fuel sizes, water contents, initial temperature, and air flow rates. In case of the rotary kiln combustor, effects of rotating speed of the combustor are also investigated. Mean carbon conversion time (MCCT) and flame propagation rate (FPR) are used for the quantitative analysis. It is revealed that the reaction rates of the fuel are significantly influenced by the fuel characteristics, type of the combustors and air flow rate. Major design parameters for each type of the combustors are summarized through the reduced-scaled model analysis.

바닥보호공 설치에 따른 하상변동 특성 분석 (An Analysis of Bed Change Characteristics by Bed Protection Work)

  • 본 연구에서는 세굴방지를 위하여 설치된 바닥보호공의 영향을 고려한 흐름특성 및 하상변동에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 대상지역은 낙동강유역의 합천창녕보가 포함된 현풍 수위관측소에서부터 마수원 수위관측소까지의 구간이며, CCHE2D 모형을 적용하기 위하여 2010년 태풍 '곤파스'사상을 대상으로 검 보정하였다. 바닥보호공에 대한 영향을 분석하기 위하여 빈도별 호우사상(50년, 100년, 200년)에 대해 세 가지의 모의조건(Case 1, 2, 3)을 구성하였으며, Case 1은 보가 설치되기 이전의 조건, Case 2는 보가 설치된 이후의 조건, Case 3는 바닥보호공을 고려한 조건이다. 보의 설치로 인하여(Case 2) 고정보 및 전도게이트형 가동보 구간에는 퇴적량이 증가하였고, 리프트게이트형 가동보 구간은 높은 수위차로 인하여 보를 건설하기 이전(Case 1)보다 더 많은 세굴이 발생하였다. Case 3은 바닥보호공의 영향으로 보 직하구간(30m)에서 세굴이 발생하지 않았다. 그러나 바닥보호공이 설치되지 않은 보 하류구간(60m 이상)에서는 보가 설치되기 이전 조건(Case 1)보다 더 많은 세굴이 발생하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 통하여 본 연구결과는 실제 보에 대한 하상변동 예측과 보의 관리 및 운영에 대한 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
