  • This study suggested the Fuzzy Lyapunov dimension. The Fuzzy Lyapunov dimension is to evaluate the quantitative variation of the attractor. In this paper the speaker recognition is evaluated by the Fuzzy Lyapunov dimension. It has been proved that the suggested Fuzzy Lyapunov dimension is superior in the discrimination characteristics between standard reference pattern attractors, and in reference to the test pattern attractor, it has been verified that it is the speaker recognition parameter which absorbs the pattern variation. In order to evaluate the Fuzzy Lyapunov dimension as speaker recognition parameter, the mistaken recognition according to discrimination error in each of speaker and standard reference pattern was estimated, and the validity of the speaker recognition parameter was experimental. As the result of the speaker recognition experiment, 97.0[%] of recognition ratio was obtained, and it was confirmed that the Fuzzy Lyapunov dimension was fit for the speaker recognition parameter.

  • This study aimed to develop a scale to measure physical health behaviors among social work clients using general services. The scale items were constructed based on literature review and FGI of social workers. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmative factor analysis affirmed the factor structure of Physical Health Behavior Scale with two sub-scales: Health Promotion Behavior Scale and Health Hindrance Behavior Scale. Promotion Scale had 7 factors and Hindrance Scale had 5 factors. Both sub-scales showed acceptable ranged goodness-of-fit for the model, and internal consistency test proved that the scale was reliable. The analyses of discriminant validity, convergent validity, and concurrent validity resulted significant validation. Based on those results, the developed Physical Health Behavior Scale were proved well-constructed, reliable and valid. The Scale will be utilized for both clients in general to check their own health related behaviors and social workers to adopt as a tool for assessment in order to perform an evidence based practice.

  • An urban runoff model is proposed in this study, which is composed of a surface runoff model and a channel routing model. ILLUDAS is selected as the best fit model for the surface runoff computation, and the dynamic wave model using weighted four-point implicit finite difference scheme is used to perform the channel routing. The 3rd Seongbook bridge basin located in Seoul is selected as the test basin for the proposed model, and the rainfall-runoff data are collected to calibrate and verify the urban runoff model. The computed results by this model showed the fair accuracy when compared with the observed hydrographs. So the model proposed in this study could be used to compute the urban river flow as well as the outflow from the urban drainage area.

  • The purpose of this study was to propose and test a path that explains and predicts Korean nurses' intention to stay. A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 217 nurses and six instruments were used in the model. The data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 and Amos 18.0 program. Based on the theoretical model, a significant correlation between all factors and the hygiene factor and motivation factor had a significant direct effect on the job satisfaction of nurses. In addition, factors such as job satisfaction, and distributive fairness directly affected the intention to stay and indirectly affected the hygiene factor and motivation factor. The final modified model yielded ${\chi}^2=2.681$, p=.433), GFI= .98, RMSEA=.001, NFI=.99, CFI=.99, GFI=.97 and good fit indices. This comprehensive model explains the related factors and their relationship with Korean nurses' intention to stay. Findings from this study can be used to design appropriate strategies to further increase Korean nurses' job satisfaction and intention to stay.

  • To study reliability and validity of PWI, this newly developed self-administered questionnaire which measures stress, was given to medical students. All respondent(133) were followed 4 weeks later and 92 were retested. Cronbach's $\alpha$ coefficient of data was 0.93. Test-retest reliability measured by Pearson's correlation coefficient was 0.72(P<0.01). Exploratory factor analysis(EFA) performed by principal axis factor method without iteration and by varimax rotation explored 13 principal components(eigenvalues > 1). After exploring 4 factor structure according to previous study results, factor 1 showed good agreement but other factors did not. Confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) showed poor fit of 4 factor model to data. In the further study, it may be considered to model that has unidimensional factor structure.

  • Background: The cancer mortality-to-incidence ratio (MIR) has been established as an important measure of health disparities in local and global circumstances. Past work has corroborated a linkage between the colorectal cancer MIR and the World Health Organization (WHO) Health System ranking. The literature further documents many Asian countries having incomplete cancer registries and a lack of comprehensive colorectal cancer screening guidelines. Materials and Methods: The colorectal cancer MIR values for 23 Asian countries were calculated from data obtained from the 2012 GLOBOCAN database. The 2000 World Health Organization (WHO) Health System rankings were used as a proxy for health system infrastructure and responsiveness. A regression equation was calculated with the MIR as the dependent variable and the WHO Health System ranking as the independent variable. Predicted MIR values were next calculated based on the regression results. Actual MIR values that exceeded 0.20 from the predicted MIR were removed as 'divergent' points. The regression equation was then re-plotted. Goodness-of-fit for both regressions was assessed by the R-squared test. Results: Asian countries have a relatively wide colorectal cancer MIR range, from a minimum of 0.24 to a maximum of 0.86. For the full dataset, the adjusted R-squared value for this regression was 0.53. The equation was then used to calculate a predicted MIR, whereby two data points were identified as 'divergent' and removed. The adjusted R-squared for the edited dataset increased to 0.66. Conclusions: Asian countries have a marked range in their colorectal cancer MIR values and there is a strong correlationwith the WHO Health System ranking. These results corroborate the contribution of the MIR as a potentially robust tool in monitoring changes in colorectal cancer care for Asian nations.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a new basic skirt pattern for 4 lower body types of Plus-sized women. To reduce a time and economic loss about putting it on, This study applied a 3D sample module in the course to develop a basic skirt pattern which is fit, functional and beautiful. A data analysis used the SPSS 11.0 statistics program. To verify the difference, This study used the variance analysis and Duncan's test for the postmortem verification. The result was as follows. To reflect a feature according to an abdomen projection and hip projection, we added the maximum hip circumference to the waist circumference and hip circumference for necessary for a skirt draft item. The front hip circumference sets to the H/4+1cm(ease)+D/4. The back hip circumference set to the H/4+0.5cm(ease)+D/4. The D is the hip circumference in the maximum hip circumference to subtract. The front waist circumference sets to the W/4+0.5cm(ease)+0.5cm(A front and back's difference)+D/4. The back waist circumference sets to the W/4+0.5cm(ease)-0.5cm(A front and back's difference)-D/4. Compare with 4 lower body types of Plus-sized Women, A type 2 and type 4 abdomen projections are bigger. We raised a front waistline of skirt pattern to a 0.3cm upside, and take about 1.3cm down the skirt length from a developed skirt pattern. Consequently, the appearance of a front skirt length was improved with a side skirt length.

  • This study shows how to estimate AADT(Annual Average Daily Traffic) on temporary count data using new grouping method. This study deals with clustering permanent traffic counts using monthly adjustment factor, daily adjustment factor and a percentage of hourly volume. This study uses a percentage of hourly volume comparing with other studies. Cluster analysis is used and 5 groups is suitable. First, make average of monthly adjustment factor, average of daily adjustment factor, a percentage of hourly volume for each group. Next estimate AADT using 24 hour volume(not holiday) and two adjustment factors. Goodness of fit test is used to find what groups are applicable. MAPE(Mean Absolute Percentage Error) is 8.7% in this method. It is under 1.5% comparing with other method(using adjustment factors in same section). This method is better than other studies because it can apply all temporary counts data.

  • Bidirectional transport trend using the sediment-transport path model was identified in the two areas, sand ridge area and tidal mudflat in Garolim Bay, which is located in the mid-western coast of Korean Peninsular. This model exhibits the two-dimensional view of clear sediment transport trend based on data of changes in sediment statistics such as mean, sorting, and skewness, Garolim Bay was selected to test for the sediment-transport path model developed by McLaren and Bowles [1985]. Line-S, a typical tidal mudflat and representative of the Garolim Bay tidal flats, is well tested by this model, showing a clear seasonal change and coarsening-trend seaward (case C). This indicates that strong ebb currents carried relatively coarser sediments seaward with respect to high energy regime. Seasonally, this energy regime slowly decreases toward the summer in contrast with an increase of energy regime of flood tides, carrying coarser sediments landward (case C) in the summer. However, the Line-D area does not show consistent transport trend with respect to time-series. Separated and scattered events show fining trend landward (case B) in the sand ridge itself. The finining-trend (case B) either seaward and landward is not chiefly important in both the entire Line-D area and sand ridge itself. Also, the coarsening-Trend (case C) landward is not significant in the sand ridge itself. Consequently, in reality, the selection of suitable and representative locations are very important to fit with this model.

  • Reliability analysis(RA) and Reliability-based design optimization(RBDO) require statistical modeling of input random variables, which is parametrically or nonparametrically determined based on experimental data. For the parametric method, goodness-of-fit (GOF) test and model selection method are widely used, and a sequential statistical modeling method combining the merits of the two methods has been recently proposed. Kernel density estimation(KDE) is often used as a nonparametric method, and it well describes a distribution function when the number of data is small or a density function has multimodal distribution. Although accurate statistical models are needed to obtain accurate RA and RBDO results, accurate statistical modeling is difficult when the number of data is small. In this study, the accuracy of two statistical modeling methods, SSM and KDE, were compared according to the number of data. Through numerical examples, the RA results using the input models modeled by two methods were compared, and appropriate modeling method was proposed according to the number of data.
