우리나라 노인의 관절염 유병과 인구사회적 요인의 관련성: 노인실태조사(2014, 2017) 자료 분석 (Association between Arthritis and Socio-Demographic Factors in Korean Elderlies: The National Survey of Korean Elderly (2014, 2017) Dataset Analysis)

  • Background: As South Korea is becoming an aged society very rapidly, the increase in osteoarthritis prevalence raises various public health issues in this country. This study aimed to explore the socio-demographic factors associated with osteoarthritis in the current Korean elderlies. Methods: Using the National Survey of Korean Elderly data (2014, 2017), we analyzed 20,326 elderlies (males, 8,248; females, 12,078) and conducted multivariate logistic regression analyses by sex. The dependent variable is whether a participant was diagnosed with osteoarthritis or not. Independent variables of interest is socio-demographic factors such as age, marital status, household type, residential area, household income, religion, the longest job, the number of close relatives, the number of close friends, and survey year. Control variables are various health behavioral factors and disease-related factors. Results: Prevalence of osteoarthritis was 19.2% in male elderlies and 47.0% in female elderlies. According to the results of the multivariate logistic regression adjusted for all studied control variables, the odds ratio (OR) for having osteoarthritis of under-elementary school graduates (their counterpart was college graduate group) was 1.81 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.29-2.52) in males and 1.67 (95% CI, 1.12-2.47) in females. The OR of those having a job in agriculture & forestry fishery as their longest job (their counterpart was those who had never participated in labor force during their lifetime) was 5.07 (95% CI, 1.46-17.58) in males and 1.49 (95% CI, 1.27-1.74) in females. In males, the second-low quartile group in household yearly income (their counterpart was the highest quartile group) had the OR of 1.22 (95% CI, 0.98-1.53). In females, the OR of those having a religion of Buddhism (their counterpart was those having no religion) was 1.20 (95% CI, 1.07-1.35) and the OR of those who had no relatives (their counterpart was those having more than 3 close relatives) was 1.31 (95% CI, 1.10-1.56). Conclusion: This study found that in Korean elderlies, education, the longest job, household income, religion, and the number of close relatives are associated with their suffering from osteoarthritis. Further study and designing appropriate interventions are needed to alleviate current and future individual and socioeconomic burdens of osteoarthritis in an aged society like South Korea.

일본(日本) 수산계(水產系) 고등학교교육(高等學校敎育)의 현황(現況)과 전망(展望) -I. 학교(學校)의 분포(分布)와 교육과정(敎育課程)의 편제(編制) (The Present Status and Future Prospect on Education of Fisheries High School in Japan -I. Distribution of Schools and Arrangement of Curriculum)

  • Cultivation of competent manpower is recognized as one of the important factors in the development of fisheries as well as of other industries. For reference to the development of education of fisheries high schools in the Republic of Korea, the author carried out a study on the education in Japan. The reason is why the education on fisheries had been initiated in Japan and her educational system has played the role of a model for neighboring countries. Even though the education on fisheries tends to shrink a little in recent years by diffusing the unwilling tendency to engage in 3D (dirty, difficult and dangerous) jobs, there are fifty-one high schools educating fisheries in Japan. Thirty-eight of them are specialized fisheries high schools and the others are comprehensive high schools to put common course and fisheries course together. In the first step of study, the goal of education on fisheries, organization of department and arrangement of curriculum are analysed. 1. In the newly arranged curriculum which will come into effect from 1994, the goal of education on fisheries is set up as "By educating fundamental knowledge and technology on the production and circulation in the field of fisheries, have students understand the significance and role of fisheries, and so cultivate ability and active attitude to the development of fisheries". The goal means that the circulation of fishery products are regarded as important as the production itself, and active attitude to the development of fisheries is also stressed, different from the present goal. 2. Standard departments directed by the Government are set up as five-Departments of Marine Fishing, of Fisheries Engineering, of Information Communication, of Fish Culture, of Sea Foods. But they are actually organized and named by the founders of schools-local government. Then there are many unique-named departments and the management of schools are somewhat flexible according to the situation of local district. 3. Special subjects are revised to twenty-four in the new curriculum from twenty-two in the present curriculum. Among them the contents are widely revised in the subjects such as Introduction to Fisheries, Fisheries Engineering, Communication Engineering, Communication Technology, Fish Culture. On the other hand, five subjects such as Information Treatment on Fisheries, Information Technology on Fisheries, Subjective Study, Fisheries Economics, Circulation of Sea Foods are newly set up to meet the changing phase of the time.

유엔 지속가능발전 목표(SDG)를 위한 수산교육 방향 (Directions to Fisheries Education for Achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs))

  • UN adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, a set of 17 objectives with 169 targets expected to guide actions over the next 15 years (2016-2030). One goal expressly focuses on the oceans, that is, SDG 14 'Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development'. More than 30% of fish stocks worldwide were classified by FAO(2016) as overfished. Globally, world capture fisheries are near the ocean's productive capacity with catches on the order of 80 million metric tons. Aquaculture production is increasing rapidly and is expected to continue to increase, but aquaculture encounters some environmental challenges, including potential pollution, competition with wild fishery resources, potential contamination of gene pools, disease problems, and loss of habitat. Accordingly, there have been a variety of world organization and conferences stressing the importance of the implementation of the ecosystem-based fisheries management(EBFM) to overcome these problems. Annual catch of Korean fisheries have shown continuously declining patterns since late 1990s. Most fish stocks are currently known to be over-exploited, and some stocks are depleted due to the increase in fishing intensity and over-capitalization of fishing fleets. Other reasons for the depletion are land reclamations and coastal pollution, which destroy spawning and nursery grounds along the coastal regions. Aquaculture production is also increasing rapidly in Korea. However, several important issues such as gene pool and interaction with capture fisheries should be considered. The EBFM approach should use the best available information coupled with a reasonable application of the precautionary approach. The EBFM has global relevance, and so the real challenge will be to develop and use reliable, robust and cost-effective means of assessing and monitoring the status of ecosystems and their resources, and rapid means of detecting any undesirable and excessive impacts that threaten sustainable use. Future fisheries education should take into account UN's SDGs, which were adopted to achieve the global 2030 agenda. However, there are some difficulties in the current fisheries education system in Korea. First, the current education organizations are limited within the old frame of traditional fisheries sciences. Second, the fisheries education is currently lack of the future-oriented education system and of customized schools or departments. Third, the on-going fisheries education has been based upon few educational policies which are sufficiently relevant to holistic SDGs of the global standard. Accordingly, directions to modern fisheries education for achieving SDGs would be, first, the transition of fisheries education structure into the future-oriented and customized education system. Second, fisheries education needs to shift to the new paradigm, which combines traditional fisheries science education with related fields such as oceanography and environmental sciences to adopt the concept of EBFM. Lastly, fisheries education should accompany relevant policies for effectively achieving SDGs.

재중.재미.재일동포의 거주지 분포와 직업구성의 공간적 특성 (Spatial Characteristics of Korean Residential Distribution and Occupational Composition in China, United States, and Japan)

  • 본 연구는 소수민족이 이민국에서 부정적인 면만을 나타낸다는 종래의 연구에 대해 긍정적인 면이 존재한다는 관점에서 해외동포가 많이 거주하고 있는 중국 미국 일본을 대상으로 해외동포의 직업구성의 공간적 특성을 파악하였다. 그 결과 인구규모상 제1위의 도시를 포함하는 지역에는 상업이, 제2위의 도시를 포함하는 지역에는 제조업이 가장 특화된 직업이고, 제3위의 도시를 포함하는 지역은 제1, 2위 도시를 포함하는 각 지역 특화직업의 중간적 성격을 띄고 있다는 점이 밝혀졌다. 그리고 인구규모상 제1위의 도시를 포함하는 지역에는 전문직중인 법조인, 의료인, 종교인, 교육자 등이 특화직업으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 해외동포는 종래 경제적 지위향상을 위해 노력해 왔으나 앞으로는 경제적인 바탕위에서 우리동포의 강한 교육열로 사회적 지위향상을 위해 노력함 것으로 생각되어 인구규모상 수위도시를 포함하는 지역뿐만 아니라 다른 지역에서도 화이트 칼러의 진출이 두드러질 것이다.

수중 항만구조물의 유지보수를 위한 건식 케이슨 공법 개발 (Development of Dry Process Caisson Method for Maintenance of Submerged Harbor Structure)

  • 근래 국내 산업의 고도화와 수출입 증가에 따른 경제력의 상승과 함께 도로, 교량 및 항만시설의 확충과 각종 호안 및 해상구조물의 건설요구가 급증하고 있다. 해양수산부는 9대신항만의 건설과 기존어항의 재개발을 추진하고 있다. 이들 구조물의 대부분은 교각기초, 안벽, 돌핀, 안벽, 돌제 등은 강재나 콘크리트 파일로 새롭게 건설되고 있다. 이들 기초, 지지격벽 및 파일은 건설 후에 수면아래에 있게 되므로 구조물의 상태를 파악하기가 어렵고, 그 구조물의 보수나 보강이 충분하지 못한 상태이다. 더구나 매년 이러한 유지 보수작업은 구조물의 부식을 방지하기 위한 불완전한 보수와 수중공사로 인한 장기작업으로 고비용 때문에 정부의 예산을 소진하게 된다. 이와 같은 정부예산의 지출을 절감하기 위해서는 기존 구조물의 내구연한을 연장시킬 필요가 있는 것이다. 그러므로, 부유식 케이슨으로 건식작업환경을 제공함으로써 수선부근에서의 수중구조물의 유지를 위한 새로운 기법을 개발하였다. 개발한 방법은 작업구간을 쉽게 이동하고 취급이 용이한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기 기법은 유지보수비용 및 방식작업 시간을 현저하게 줄이는 것은 물론 보다 나은 방식을 제공하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 기술은 해안 및 수중구조물의 유지와 건설비용을 줄이는 이정표가 될 것으로 본다.

20-40대의 HIV/AIDS 관련 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향 : 지역사회건강조사 자료 활용 (Impact of Knowledge and Attitude of HIV/AIDS among individuals in their 20s to 40s : An Analysis of the Community Health Survey)

  • 본 연구는 20-40대 HIV/AIDS의 지식 및 태도를 확인하고, 지식과 태도에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하기 위해 2011년, 2013년 지역사회건강조사 자료를 활용한 2차 자료 분석 연구이다. 연구대상자는 만 20세부터 만 49세로, 최종 분석 대상자는 182,315명이다. 수집된 자료는 t-test, ANOVA, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, HIV/AIDS의 지식은 정답률 69.4%로 높은 지식수준을 보이나, 개별 문항에서 감염경로에 대한 지식이 부족하며, 20대가 가장 낮은 정답율을 보였다. HIV/AIDS의 태도율은 44.3%로 부정적 태도수준을 나타났다. HIV/AIDS 지식 및 태도는 남성일수록, 미혼일수록, 소득이 높을수록 교육 수준이 높을수록, 직업이 농림어업, 주부/무직보다 관리자 및 전문가, 직업군인일수록 지식 및 태도의 점수가 높았다. 지식과 태도 사이에 양의 상관관계(r=0.27, p<.001)를 보였다. 에이즈 관련 지식 및 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로, 연령, 결혼상태, 소득수준, 직업, 교육수준이 있었으며 연령별로 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서, HIV/AIDS 지식수준 향상과 긍정적인 태도 구축을 위해서 일률적이고 획일적인 교육보다는 연령 및 특성별 맞춤형 교육프로그램이 필요하다.

네트워크 분석을 이용한 한국농어촌공사 사업의 중심성 측정 (Analyzing the Degree Centrality of Korea Rural Community Corporation Business Using Network Analysis)

  • 본 연구에서는 농어촌지역 발전을 위해 공공사업을 수행하고 있는 한국농어촌공사의 사회적 가치 증진 방안을 모색하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 한국농어촌공사 사업의 최종 수요자인 외부 이해관계자 중에서 농업인들을 대상으로 KRC 사업 참여 실태 및 사회적 가치 인지 여부 등을 살펴보았다. 그리고 네트워크 분석을 통해 외부이해관계자들이 참여하고 있는 한국농어촌공사 사업의 주요 특징과 중요 사업을 도출하였다. 네트워크 분석을 한 결과, KRC 사업 중에서 대부분 지역에서 농어촌용수관리사업이 가장 중요한 사업으로 나타났다(농어촌용수관리사업 0.805, 농업생산기반정비사업 0.758, 농지은행사업 0.762, 지역개발사업 0.643). 반면 제주도의 경우에는 지역 특성상 농업생산기반정비사업과 지역개발사업이 중요한 사업으로 분석되었다. 이러한 분석결과, 한국농어촌공사 사업은 지역별로 각 사업간 연결 중앙성(degree centrality) 값이 다르므로, 지역 여건에 맞는 한국농어촌공사 사회적 가치 증진 노력이 필요하다. 이를 위해 "사회적 가치 플랫폼"을 구축해 대내외 모든 이해관계자들이 자유롭게 한국농어촌공사 사업에 참여하는 방안을 모색하는 것도 한 방안이 될 수 있을 것이다. 이를 통해 한국농어촌공사의 사회적 가치도 증진될 것이다.

외식산업프랜차이즈본사의 재무구조, 수익성, 성장성 및 재무위험에 관한 연구 (A Study of Financial Structure, Profitability, Growth and Financial Risk of Food Service Franchisor)

  • 본 연구는 공정거래위원회의 프랜차이즈 정보공개서상의 재무자료(자산, 부채, 자본, 매출액, 영업이익 및 당기순이익)를 사용하여 프랜차이즈본사의 자산규모, 재무구조, 수익성 및 성장성에 관한 정보를 연구하였다. 분석 자료는 패스트푸드, 가족식당, 제빵, 농수산과 주류산업의 1,050개 프랜차이즈 본사의 2011년과 2012년 자료를 수집되었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 기업자산규모에서는 중위수가 675백만 원이었고 중위수까지의 회사의 누적 수는 49.9%에 이르렀으나, 자산규모의 총 누적율은 0.48%에 불과하여 규모의 영세성을 나타내었다. 재무구조에서는 525개사(50%)의 회사가 부채비율이 200% 이하였고, 314개사(29.9%)가 부채비율이 200% 이상이었으며, 211개사(20.1%)가 자본잠식 상태였다. 이러한 결과는 재무구조의 취약성을 나타내는 것을 의미한다. 수익성에서는 ROA의 중위수가 4.72%에 불과하여 낮은 성장성을 나타내었다. 성장성에서는 매년 매출성장률의 중위수가 7.5%를 나타내어, 프랜차이즈산업이 성숙기의 특성을 나타내었다. 본 연구의 이러한 연구 결과는 전반적으로 외식관련 프랜차이즈 본사의 재무상태가 개선되어야 한다는 것을 시사해주고 있다.

어선용 무선설비의 통합운용을 위한 LAN 기반 MFD 인터페이스 (LAN Based MFD Interface for Integrated Operation of Radio Facilities using Fishery Vessel)

  • 어업인의 감소와 단독조업 어선이 증가되는 현실에서, 어선의 해상안전을 위한 항해 및 무선설비의 의무장비는 계속 증가되어 왔다. 따라서 협소한 조타실에는 항해, 통신, 어로 등의 많은 장비가 설치되므로 혼잡한 상태이며, 다수의 모니터가 전면에 배치되므로 해상견시 능력을 저하시키는 요인으로 된다. 문제의 해결책으로 디지털선택호출-초단파대무선설비(VHF-DSC), 선박자동 식별장치(AIS), 어선위치발신장치(V-Pass) 등의 무선설비를 LAN 기반으로 하나의 MFD(multi function display)에 통합하여 운용하는 인터페이스를 구현하였다. 또한, MFD와 무선설비들 간의 연동으로 데이터의 교환을 위하여 IEC61162-450의 UDP 패킷과 IEC61162 센텐스를 적용하였고, 장비와 기능별로 필요한 메시지를 추가로 정의하였다. 통합된 MFD 모니터는 메뉴방식으로 쉽게 조작되며, 해상안전 관련 조난 및 긴급통신 기능과 장비별 메시지전송 상태의 확인으로 인터페이스 성능을 평가하였다.

북한수산업(北韓水產業)의 현황(現況)과 전망(展望) (Present Status and Future Prospect on Fishing Industry in North Korea)

  • In recent years, the communication and the trade between the Republic of Korea(South Korea) and the Communist bloc has been activated. The simultaneous entrance of South Korea and North Korea to the United Nations will accelerate the political dialogue and also the trade which is indirectly carried out through a third country at present will be turned into direct way. Fisheries products are also treated as one of the important trade goods and there is a hopeful prospect that the amount of trade will be steeply increased in the near future. Furthermore, there is a great possibility of development up to the joint utilization of fishing grounds or the joint investment in fisheries projects. Concerning such points, since it is very much important to understand the present status of fisheries in North Korea, the author made a study on this field as requested by the Board of Unification, and report a part of the study here. The prominent character of North Korea's ruling sea area is that the sea is completely separated into two regions-the East Sea Region and the West Sea Region-and no continuity exists between them. The East Sea Region locates in the fringe of the biggest fishing ground of the world-the North Pacific Ocean-and very rich in resources not only warm water fishes but also cold water fishes. Especially alaska pollack, Theragra chalcogramma, is caught abundantly in this region. Contrary to that, fishing activity in the West Sea Region seems to be interrupted in winter. Even though some valuable warm water fishes-yellow corvenia, Pseudosciaena manchurica, and hair tail, Trichiurus lepturus, and so forth-come to this region from spring to summer along the coast line of this region for spawning, and vigorous fishing activity is carried out. But the most of them migrate southward to the neighboring waters of Cheju Island for wintering from autumn to winter, and so the fishing activity in this region seems to be interrupted greatly during winter. The total number of fishing boats in North Korea is estimated at 36 thousand and the rate of mechnization at about 70% compared with 99 thousand and 78% in South Korea. North Korea proclaimed an exclusive economic zone of 200 nautical miles in 1977. Specific character of this zone is setting of military boundary zone, up to 50 miles from the base line in the East Sea Region and also it covers whole region of the economic zone in the West Sea Region. Especially in the East Sea Region she set up a straight base line which can not be permissible by the international law. North Korea's statistics on fisheries product has not been announced officially on account of her unique isolationism, but it can be estimated through several data procured. At the first, the amount of fisheries products in the North Korea is reported as about 1.7 million ${\frac{M}{T}}$ by Fisheries Statistics which issued by the FAO in 1987, but a North Korea's trade organization announced the amount as 3.5 million ${\frac{M}{T}}$ in 1988. The former seems to be underestimated and the latter must be an exaggeration. According to Chikuni, who is a Japanese worker for FAO, prepared the unofficial statistics based on the evidence which he collected through the fineries development plan of the FAO/UNDP, and estimated the mean amount between 1982 and 1984 was 2.4 million ${\frac{M}{T}}$ or so. The Board of Unification estimated on the basis of various factors that the amount was 2.2 million ${\frac{M}{T}}$ or so in 1987 and in 1988. This seems to be the most reasonable. To solve the chronic lack of foreign currency, North Korea makes effort on the development of fisheries, and has even aimed fisheries product at 11 million ${\frac{M}{T}}$ by 1993, but this target looks unrealistic under the present circumstances. Somehow, we can exploit her extreme policy which has gone so far as to establish such an excessive and impractical target. Nevertheless this will be helpful to promote the joint development of the fishery activity between South Korea and North Korea.
