Since the six sigma strategy was first introduced to Motorola in 1987, it has been taken as an important business strategy to strengthen the competitiveness of leading companies in the global competitiveness environm ent. This paper presents a six sigma project to reduce the cycle time of assembly line in a medium size automotive part company. The project follows a structured methodology of DMAIC cycle which consists of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. A CTQ is determined based on COPQ analysis, and a process map is utilized for identifying process input variables. As a result of the project, two assembly lines are converted to cell line production lines. The cycle times become 55 sec./unit and 64 sec./unit from 64 sec./unit and 83 sec./unit at the beginning of the project, respectively.

A chimeric gene comprising murine whey acidic protein(mWAP) and human growth hormone(hGH) was used to produce transgenic rats express hGH and secrete it into the blood. Two lines of transgenic rats carrying the mWAP/hGH construct were established; High line was characterized by relatively high levels of serum hGH, and low line had relatively low levels. The secretory profiles of rat GH(rGH) as well as hGH, the transgene product, were obtained in transgenic males and females of low line; both hGH and rGH serum levels were flattened with no episodic fluctuations, and the overall mean concentration of rGH was significantly lower than in normal littermates. Although the animals of High line showed an acceles, as assessed by vaginal opening and occurrence of first ovulation, advanced by 7∼8 days in both lines of animals. Accordingly, the body weight at puberty of low line transgenic females was much lower than that of normal littermates, indicating that continuous hGH expression could induce precocious puberty without enhancing the growth rate.

The notching effect in etching of undoped amorphous silicon gate had different characteristics and mechanism comparing with reported ones. The undoped amorphous silicon was etched by using HBr gas plasma. First in the region of small line width the potential increased as a result of ions in the exposed surface of oxide and the incident ions between the small line widths were deflected more wide range therefore the depth of notching was shallow and wide. Second in the region of large line width of gate electrons were charged on the top of photoresist and the side of gate a part of ions deflected. The deflected ions were partly charged positive on the side of gate and then these partly charged ions produced potential difference. Therefore ions stored up more at independent line than at dense line and notching became deeper by Br ion bombardments.

In this paper, we present two types of vision algorithm that mobile robot has CCD camera. for obstacle avoidance. This is simple algorithm that compare with grey level from input images. Also, The mobile robot depend on image processing and move command from PC host. we has been studied self controlled mobile robot system with CCD camera. This system consists of digital signal processor, step motor, RF module and CCD camera. we used wireless RF module for movable command transmitting between robot and host PC. This robot go straight until recognize obstacle from input image that preprocessed by edge detection, converting, thresholding. And it could avoid the obstacle when recognize obstacle by line histogram intensity. Host PC measurement wave from various line histogram each 20 Pixel. This histogram Is ( x , y ) value of pixel. For example, first line histogram intensity wave from ( 0, 0 ) to ( 0, 197 ) and last wave from ( 280, 0 ) to ( 280, 197 ). So we find uniform wave region and nonuniform wave region. The period of uniform wave is obstacle region. we guess that algorithm is very useful about moving robot for obstacle avoidance.

In this paper, it is shown that Carson's equation can still be applied for the calculation of the series reactance of transmission lines with no ground return current as well as the one with ground return. It is proved in the following method. First two voltage drop equations for three-phase three wire transmission line are derived, one without considering ground return and the other using Carson's equation. The impedance matrix of the two equations are different from each other. But if we put the condition of zero ground current, $I_a+I_b+I_c=0$, those two equations becomes the identical equations. Therefore even a transmission line is not grounded, its line parameters can still be obtained using the Carson's equation. It has been confused whether or not Carson's equation can be used for an ungrounded system. It is because where ever Carson's equation is shown in the book, it also says that the system has ground return current paths as a premise. It is also verified with EMTP studies on the test circuit.

Laparoscopic distal gastrectomy has become widespread as a treatment for early gastric cancer in eastern Asia, but a standard method for setting the stomach transection line has not been established. Here we report a novel method of setting this line based on anatomical landmarks. At the start of the operation, two anatomical landmarks along the greater curvature of the stomach were marked with ink: the proximal landmark at the avascular area between the last branch of the short gastric artery and the first branch of the left gastroepiploic artery, and the distal landmark at the point of communication between the right and left gastroepiploic arteries. Just before specimen retrieval, the stomach was transected from the center of these two landmarks toward the lesser curvature. Then, about two-third of the stomach was reproducibly resected, and gastroduodenostomy was successfully performed in 26 consecutive cases. This novel method could be used as a standard technique for setting the transection line in laparoscopic distal gastrectomy.

Heungdukwang's(興德王) costume ordinance(834A.D.) is a very important written historical record because it reveals Tongil Shilla's(統-新羅) costume. And among the clothing pieces that appeared in Heungdukwang's(興德王) costume ordinance, from Pyosang(表裳), Naesang(內裳), we know they wore one skirt over another. But skirts appearing in visual records are wort in waist line or breast line, and when they wore skirts in breast line, there were shoulder belts or not. Also among the clothing pieces that appeared in Heungdukwang'a (興德王) costume ordinance, Yo( ) and Ban( ) seems to be connected with skirt. but it is not clear. So this study focuses on the history of wearing skirt in breast line and one skirt over another, shoulder belts of skirt, and relation among yo( ), Ban( ) and skirt. The results are as follows. First, wearing skirt in breast line is already appeared in Ancient Shilla's(新羅) clay figure, and wearing one skirt over another is also appeared in Sunhung tomb's mural painting. so it is not completely under the influence of Tang(唐). Second, the shoulder belts of skirt is for convenience of action, But, at that time, there is no shoulder belts of skirt in Tang(唐). Third, between Yo( ) and Ban( ), If Yo( ) is connected with skirt, it is a shoulder belts of skirt or waist of skirt. And Ban( ) is a ire of skirt.

The following research focuses on the formation method of digital space by organistic line extension among various digital formation methods. The paper reflects on the meaning and concept of today's digitalism which enables the application of complex organistic system on space through advanced technology. It also explores the concept of a line in topology which differs in assumptive meaning from traditional Euclidian geometry. The findings of the research are that first, digital space is not optimized, but is a tentative formation in process. A digital space encompasses characteristics such as infinity, possibility, potential, asymmetry, and the force of virtuality such characteristics are expressed through a moving surface constantly changing with direction. Second, a digital space formed by line extension is inseparable and durable since no measurement or dimension is predetermined. Furthermore, its sense of direction and flexibility gives it a feeling of a living organism. Third, a Euclidian methodology called 'NURBS' is being developed to express such a dynamic digital space; this is reflected through three elements, control point, weights, and knots to effectively reflect the characteristics of virtuality. The opportunities of digital space are infinite, and the possibilities of formation methods likewise vast.

The subfamily Ennominae is one of the most species-rich taxa of Geometridae that include more than 9,700 species worldwide and over 280 species in South Korea. Herein, we present the first report of five species of Ennominae. Abraxas flavisinuata can be characterized by the white wings, a thick black postmedial line that is medially and dorsally broken with an orange band, large rounded black discal dots on the forewing, and a black dotted postmedial line on the hindwing. Lomographa claripennis can be characterized by the whitish wings, the black undulating postmedial line as well as the minute blackish discal dot on the forewing, and the black undulating postmedial line with a minute black discal dot on the hindwing. Arichanna tetrica can be characterized by the grayish forewings, thick black transverse ante- and postmedial lines, a large blackish discal dot, whitish apical streak on the forewing, and scattered black dots on the whitish hindwing. Apocleora rimosa can be characterized by the brown ground color of the fore- and hindwings, the black slanted ante- and postmedial lines of the forewing, and two black medial lines on the hindwing. Ourapteryx japonica can be characterized by the white wings, the dark brown transverse ante- and postmedial lines with a long discal dot on the forewing, and the dark brownish transverse antemedial line as well as a termen that has a sharp white tail with one large dark reddish dot and one small black dot on the hindwing.

This study monitored changes in the level of heterotrophic bacteria in the filtrate and investigated the effect of stagnant water on it, using a batch-operated, gravity-driven membrane system for household water treatment. The filtration test was carried out in the presence and absence of stagnant water in the filtrate line. The results showed that stagnant water accelerated the heterotrophic bacteria levels, measured by heterotrophic plate count, even though the heterotrophic plate count of the filtrate finally increased up to $10^5CFU/mL$ regardless of the presence of stagnant water. When the change in heterotrophic plate count of a batch was monitored over filtration time, heterotrophic plate count of the filtrate rapidly decreased within 5 min for each batch filtration. Biofilm formation on the filtrate line was observed in the presence of stagnant water. The biofilm fully covered the filtrate line and contained numerous microorganisms. During storage after filtration, heterotrophic plate count increased exponentially. To improve the filtrate quality of a filtration-based household water treatment system, therefore, the stagnant water in the filtrate line should be minimized, the filtrate produced at the first 5 min is recommended not to be used as potable water, and the storage of filtrate should be avoided.
