Experiments of Cone calorimeter test and Lift spread flame apparatus test are carried out in order to appraise fire hazard in color nonwoven used mostly on the spot in construction works. As the result, in color nonwoven combustibility is discovered not firing flame in surface, but firing under state of combustible gas occuring in the state of melting. In the case of Lift spread flame apparatus test, color nonwoven is very brittle which almost no flame spread owing to contracting and break by firing strength. The following data are agree with basis: total heat release is 2.66 MJ/$m^2$, limited combustible material (10 min) of incombustible rating appraisal in interior material of building, and incombustible materials (5 min) 8 MJ/$m^2$ in spite of the above data mentioned, those data are only as basis of interior finish, and so I cannot judge color nonwoven have incombustible rating retain through the above data. Accordingly, the basis of incombustible rating and experiment method about exterior finish must be arranged also.
Lightweight materials were fabricated using glass abrasive sludge, bottom ash and slag powder in this study. This study tried to draw the correlation between physical properties and internal pore of lightweight material. The content of bottom ash and slag powder was from 10% to 50% and firing temperature from $760{^{\circ}C}\;to\;800{^{\circ}C}$ in rotary kiln. The lightweight material containing bottom ash or slag powder had a specific gravity of $0.21{\sim}0.70$ at particle size $2{\sim}4$ mm. Replacement ratio of the admixture increasing with specific gravity increased. Fracture strength of panel made with various lightweight materials was $32{\sim}55\;kgf/cm^2$ and flexural strength was $11{\sim}18\;kgf/cm^2$. Fracture strength increased by 72% and flexural strength was 63% compared with reference. Thermal conductivities of panel was $0.07{\sim}0.11W/m{\cdot}k$. The water absorption ratios of panel with lightweight materials containing bottom ash were $1.8{\sim}2.8$% and slag powder were $2.65{\sim}2.8$%. Excellent results on resistant of water absorption.
Fly ash from a circulating fluidized bed combustion boiler (CFBC fly ash) is very different in mineralogical composition, chemical composition, and morphology from coal ash from traditional pulverized fuel firing because of many differences in their combustion processes. The main minerals of CFBC fly ash are lime and anhydrous gypsum; however, due to the fuel type, the strength development of CFBC fly ash is affected by minor components of active $SiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$. The initial hydration product of the circulating fluidized bed combustion fly ash (B CFBC ash) using petro coke as a fuel is Portlandite which becomes gypsum after 7 days. Due to the structural features of the portlandite and gypsum, the self-cementitious strength of B CFBC ash was low. While the hydration products of the circulating fluidized bed combustion fly ash (A CFBC ash) using bituminous coal as a fuel were initially portlandite and ettringite, after 7 days the hydration products were gypsum and C-S-H. Due to the structural features of ettringite and C-S-H, A CFBC ash showed a certain degree of self-cementitious strength.

Owing to consecutive start of operation of large-scale coal-fired power plants in Korea, the ash production amounts to about 2 million tons per year. The impact of rising disposal costs, looming environmental problems and increased ash tonnages has heightened the concerns about coal ash utilization. The paper mainly describes the correlation between bending strength and microstructure of brick body from fly ash and clay mixture. The results show that bending strength depends mainly on the size and quantity of pore, the sinterability of matrix, and the crack due to the coarse quarts grain, and that the brick body added 15 wt.% fly ash has the best bending strength over the whole firing range.

Soft starters are used with large induction motors in blowers, fans, pumps and the crane hoist drives. AC voltage controllers are used as soft starters in induction motors for starting and to adjust its speed. Soft-starter starting system uses phase control method of input electric source through the setting of the thyristor(SCR) firing angle ${\alpha}$, and it can control input electric source stably and continuously from beginning of starting to ending of starting. In this paper, it is verified that power stack of high-voltage with SCR series system possesses dielectric strength and input electric source is controlled stably by phase control. Especially, from the driving experimental of proposed soft-starter operating, a smoothing acceleration and inrush current decrease can be achieved by the series SCR trigger.
An anode-supported SOFC single cell having $5{\mu}m$ thin electrolyte was fabricated cost-effectively by tape casting, laminating, and co-filing of anode (NiO-YSZ), cathode (LSM-YSZ), and electrolyte (YSZ) components. The optimal slurry compositions of the green tapes for SOFC components were determined by an analysis of the mean diameter, the slurry viscosity, the tensile strength/strain of the green tapes, and their green microstructures. The single cells with a dense electrolyte and porous electrodes could be co-fired successfully at $1325\sim1350^{\circ}C$ by controlling the contents of pore former and the ratio of coarse YSZ and fine YSZ in the anode and the cathode. The single cell co-fired at $1350^{\circ}C$ showed $100.2mWcm^{-2}$ of maximum power density at $800^{\circ}C$ but it was impossible to apply it to operate at low temperature because of low performance and high ASR, which were attributed to formation of the secondary phases in the cathode and the interface between the electrolyte and the cathode.
Purpose: When casting of ceramics, proper amount of deflocculant was added for disperse the particles in slip. In this study, examined the optimum amount of APMA(ammonium polymethaacrylate) water as deflocculant for casting the zirconia. Methods: The 100 g of zirconia powder were ball milled with 300 g zirconia ball, 90 g of distilled water, and APMA water in polyethylene pot for 24 hours. The amount of APMA water were added as deflocculant from 0.5 to 0.9 g at an intervals of 0.1 g. The viscosity of slip with no deflocculant showed 1362c.p. and the minimum viscosity with 580c.p. obtained when the slip contained 0.7% of deflocculant. Bar type specimens were casted with plaster mold and biscuit fired at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 1 hours. Biscuit fired specimens were finished with $60mm(L){\times}14mm(W){\times}10mm(H) bar$. Finished specimens were 2nd fired at $1500^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. Results: Regardless the addition of deflocculant, all 2nd fired specimens showed 0% of apparent porosity and water absorption. The specimens with no deflocculant showed 24% of drying shrinkage and 27.4% firing shrinkage. On the other hand, The specimens with deflocculant showed 17.4% of drying shrinkage and 17.6% firing shrinkage regardless the amount of deflocculant. The maximum bulk density with $6.09g/cm^3$ obtained when the specimens casted with 0.7~0.9% of deflocculant contained slips. Bend strength of specimen with no deflocculant showed 680 MPa and the maximum bend strength with 814 MPa obtained when the specimen casted with 0.7% of diflocculant contained slip. Conclusion : It was found that the particle shape of the powder according to the dispersing agent is added, the particle size, sintering temperature and affect the particle size distribution, sintering time, sintering atmosphere, such a great influence on the sintering.
This study investigated the effect of filler particle size and weight% on mechanical properties of dental core porcelain. In alumina, variation in particle size and weight% and in zirconia, variation in weight%, all specimens were tested three-point bending strength, transmittance, thermal expansion coefficient, porosity and shrinkage and observed with SEM and analysed with X-ray diffractometer. In order to develop shrink-free porcelain, after firing alumina only, glass wasinfiltrated. And aluminum was added to alumina with the expanding character of aluminum oxidize into alumina, and was followed by second firing of glass infiltration procedure. Then mechanical properties were observed. The results of this study were obtained as follows. 1. The bending strength of zirconia was higher than that of alumina, and $5{\mu}m$ alumina had highest strength in variation of particle size of alumina. Except for $5{\mu}m$ alumina, increased with weight%, bending strength increased up to 80% and decreased at 90%. In case of glass infiltration, bending strength was slight higher than 80% and 90% of $5{\mu}m$ alumina. 2. Transmittance increased with increase of shrinkage, decrease of porosity, and with increase of filler size and had no direct correlation with weight%. 3. Thermal expansion coefficient of alumina group was $7.42\sim8.64\times10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ and that of zirconia group was $9.83\sim12.11\times10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ and the latter was higher than the former. 4. In x-ray diffraction analysis, alumina group and zirconia group increased $Al_2O_3$ peak and $t-ZrO_2$ peak with increase of weight%. The second phase(cristobalite peak) was observed in zirconia 40% group. 5. Porosity of zirconia was lower than that of alumina and $5{\mu}m$ alumina group had many pores with SEM. In case of low filler content, fracture occurred in glass and high filler content, in glass and filler. In case of aluminum addition to alumina, small oxidised aluminum was observed. 6. Zirconia group had high shrinkage than alumina group, and mixed group of alumina group had high shrinkage. In case of glass infiltration, shrinkage decreased and aluminum addition to alumina group was almost shrink-free.

The light aggregates were fabricated by sintering green bodies made form the fly ash-clay alip. The content of fly ashes in the slip could be increased up to 70wt.% due to controlled rheological behavior of the slip, and the green body of uniform microstructure could be obtained by DCC(Direct Coagulation Casting)method. The apparent density, microstructure and compressive strength for sintered bodies fired at 1100∼1200$^{\circ}C$ were evaluated. The properties of light aggregates fabricated depend on slip density, particle behavior in the slip and sintering conditions. The sintered body prepared by firing a green body made from slip of density 1.60 at 1150$^{\circ}C$/2hr satisfied conditions of a light aggregate as apparent density of 1.49${\pm}$0.02 and compressive strength of 584${\pm}$62kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$.
