이동로봇의 장애물 회피기술 (A Technology of Obstacle Avoidance of Mobile Robot)

  • We propose a new technique for autonomous navigation and travelling of mobile robot based on ultrasonic sensors through the narrow labyrinth that leave only distance of a few centimeters on each side between the guides and the robot. In our current implementation the ultrasonic sensor system fires at a rate of 100 ms, that is, each of the 8 sensors fires once during each 100 ms interval. This is a very good firing rate, implemented here for optimal performance. This paper presents an extensively tested and verified solution to the problem of obstacle avoidance. Our solution is based on the optimal placement of ultrasonic sensors at strategic locations around the robot. Both the sensor location and the associated navigation algorithm are defined in such a way that only the accurate radial sonar data is used for accurate travelling.

40 mm 장축공동실린더의 마모경험식 유도 (Derivation of Empirical Erosion Equation of the 40 mm Long Hollow Cylinder)

  • One of the critical issues associated with the 40mm long hollow cylinder's development and maintenance is the prediction of cylinder erosion. The actual firing test is the most accurate method to measure the cylinder erosion rate. But it costs a great deal and requires a long measurement time. Hence many empirical methods have been proposed to predict the erosion rate and life span of long hollow cylinders. An EFC formula is calculated. An approximate erosion formula for the ammunition type A is derived to interpolate 16 observation values up to 4,000 rounds. A new erosion equation and muzzle velocity formula are also suggested. Several numerical results are presented.

액체로켓엔진용 파이로시동기의 설계 및 연소시험연구 (Design and Hot Fire Tests of the Pyrostarter for Liquid Rocket Engines)

  • 본 연구에서는 액체로켓엔진의 시동을 위한 파이로시동기의 설계 및 연소시험 연구를 수행하였다. 엔진의 시동 시에 터보펌프 RPM의 급격한 상승을 막기 위해 퇴행형 질량유량 선도를 적용하였으며, 연소 종단 시점에서 급격한 유량 감소 또한 구현하였다. 연소시험결과 파이로시동기 압력선도 및 연소 온도가 설계요구조건에 부합하는 것으로 확인되었으며, 점화제 변화연구를 통해 연소생성물 개선 및 안정적 점화를 구현하였다.

  • A pulsed Nd:YAG laser is used widely for materials processing and medical instrument. It's very important to control the laser energy density in those fields using a pulsed Nd:YAG laser. A pulse repetition rate and a pulse width are regarded as the most dominant factors to control the energy density of laser beam. In this paper, the alternating charge and discharge system was designed to adjust a pulse repetition rate. This system is controlled by microprocessor and allows to frequence an expensive condenser for high frequency to cheap one for low frequency. In addtion, The microcontroller monitors the flow of cooling water, short circuit, and miss firing and so on. We designed Nd:YAG laser firmware with smart microcontroller, and want to explain general matters about the firmware from now.

  • A MgO layer is used as electrode protective film in the alternating current plasma display panel (AC PDP). The properties of MgO layer are thought to be one of the most important factors that affects the panel reliability through the firing voltage variation. In this study, we investigated the relations between the surface characteristics and e-beam evaporation process parameters such as deposition rate, temperature of substrate and distance between the MgO pellet and substrate. To produce the MgO layer of (200) crystal orientation, we suggest the high temperature of the substrate, the long distance between the pellet and substrate and the high deposition rate.

  • This study is aimed to analyze the floe patterns and thermal characteristics by computer simulation under the variations of fire strength for Daegu-Pahang Yimgo-4th tunnel, from which flow and heat distributions are predicted In the longitudinal tunnel. Though the results of numerical computations, followings are found; one is that the volume flow rate is discontinuously increasing as closer to fire location, and the other is that a critical design to get faster flow rate is required because of existence of backlayer flow for the high fire strength in view of safety for the people in fire of the tunnel.

미분탄 연소 시스템에 바이오매스 혼소시 카올린 첨가제 적용에 따른 회 점착 저감 특성 예측 연구 (Analysis of Predicted Reduction Characteristics of Ash Deposition Using Kaolin as a Additive During Pulverized Biomass Combustion and Co-firing with Coal)

  • 국내외 석탄화력발전소에서 REC(Renewable energy certificate) 확보를 위해 혼소되고 있는 바이오매스는 기존의 목질계 바이오매스인 우드 펠릿에서부터 최근 들어 초본계 바이오매스로의 확대가 진행되고 있다. 초본계 바이오매스의 경우 목질계 바이오매스에 비해 K, Na 등의 알칼리계 금속 함량이 더 높아 회융점이 더 낮고, 이 때문에 보일러 튜브에의 회 점착을 늘려 보일러의 효율을 떨어뜨리는 원인이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 초본계 바이오매스 연소시 회 융점을 높여 회 점착을 감소시키기 위해 많이 사용되고 있는 첨가제인 카올린(kaolin)이 석탄-바이오매스 혼소시 미치는 영향을 열화학 평형 계산을 통해 분석하고자 하였다. 이전 연구에서 수행된 80 kWth 급 미분탄 - 바이오매스 혼소 실험에서 카올린을 사용하는 경우 오히려 회 점착량이 늘어나는 원인을 해석을 통해 분석하였으며, 해석을 수행한 결과 석탄에 많이 포함되어 있는 Al2O3 때문에, Al-Si 계열 첨가제인 카올린 투입시 aluminosilicate 화합물의 생성이 촉진되어 용융점이 낮은 mullite가 많이 형성, 카올린을 더 사용할수록 슬래그 생성이 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 추가적으로 바이오매스 혼소율을 0~100%까지 10% 간격으로 증가시켜가면서 해석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 비선형적인 액상 슬래그 생성 특성을 확인하였다. 결과적으로는 바이오매스 혼소율 50~60% 조건일 때 가장 적은 량의 액상 슬래그가 생성됨을 파악하였다. phase diagram을 분석한 결과, 고용융점 화합물(leucite, feldspar)이 해당 조건에서 가장 많이 생성되는 것을 확인하였다.

MgO의 전자선 증착율에 따른 PDP 방전 특성 분석 (Analysis of PDP Discharging Properties Depending on Electron Beam Evaporation Rate of MgO Layer)

  • The effects of the evaporation rate of MgO films using an electron beam on the MgO properties and the discharge characteristics of a plasma display panel (PDP) were investigated and analyzed. MgO films were deposited with the various MgO evaporation rates. The MgO properties such as the crystal orientation, the surface roughness, and the film structure were inspected using XRD (X-ray diffraction), AFM (atomic force microscopy). From the experiments and Paschen law, the maximum value of the secondary electron emission coefficient $({\gamma})$ was obtained at the evaporation rate of $5{\AA}/sec$. The XRD results and cathode-luminescence (CL) spectra show the ${\gamma}$ values are correlated with F/F+ centers of the molecular structure of MgO films. The minimum firing voltage and the maximum luminous efficiency were obtained at an evaporation rate of $5{\AA}/sec$. In the MgO film deposited at $5{\AA}/sec$, the (200) orientation and F+ center were most intensive.

초대형 유압브레이커 개발 (Development of Extra-large Hydraulic Breaker)

  • 100톤급 굴삭기에 장착할 수 있는 초대형 유압브레이커 개발을 수행하였다. 유압브레이커 설계에 앞서 타격에너지, 분당 타격수 등의 성능을 예측할 수 있는 유압브레이커 해석 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 해석 결과를 바탕으로 초대형 유압브레이커의 설계 및 제작이 이루어졌으며, 유압브레이커가 성공적으로 작동함을 확인하였다. 실제 유압브레이커 작동 시 타격에너지와 분당 타격수를 측정하여, 해석 결과와 비교하였다. 분당 타격수 해석 결과는 큰 오차 없이 실험 결과를 잘 예측하였지만, 타격에너지 해석 결과는 실제 실험 결과와 매우 큰 차이가 나타남을 확인하였다. 초대형 유압브레이커를 성공적으로 개발하였으며, 향후 마찰, 유압회로 등을 고려하여 타격에너지 해석 방법을 보완할 예정이다.

무가압 분말충전 알루미나에 이트리아를 함유한 붕규산염 유리를 침투시킨 코아 도재의 물성 (THE PHYSCIAL PORPERTIES OFY Y2O3-CONTAINING GLASS INFILTRATED ALUMINA CORE MADE BY PRESSURELESS POWDER PACKING METHOD)

  • The objective of this study was to characterize the mechanical properties of $Y_{2}O_{3}$-containing glass infiltrated ceramic core material, which was made by pressureless powder packing method. A pure alumina powder with a grain size of about $4{\mu}m$ was packed without pressure is silicon mold to form a bar shaped sample, and applied PVA solution as a binder. Samples were sinterd at $1350^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. After cooling, $Y_{2}O_{3}$-containing glass($SiO_{2},\;Y_{2}O_{3},\;B_{2}O_{3},\;Al_{2}O_{3}$, ect) was infiltrated to the sinterd samples at $1300^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and cooled. Six different proportions $Y_{2}O_{3}$ of were used to know the effect of the mismatch of the thermal expansion coefficient between alumina powder and glass. The samples were ground to $3{\times}3{\times}30$ mm size and polished with $1{\mu}m$ diamond paste. Flexural strength, fracture toughness, hardness and other physical properties were obtained, and the fractured surface was examined with SEM and EPMA. Ten samples of each group were tested and compared with In-Ceram(tm) core materials of same size made in dental laboratory. The results were as follows : 1. The flexural strengths of group 1 and 3 were significantly not different with that of In-Ceram, but other experimental groups were lower than In-Ceram. 2. The shrinkage rate of samples was 0.42% after first firing, and 0.45% after glass infiltration. Total shrinkage rate was 0.87%. 3. After first firing, porosity rate of experimental groups was 50%, compared with 22.25% of In-Ceram. After glass infiltration, porosity rate of experimental groups was 2%, and 1% in In-Ceram. 4. There was no statistical difference in hardness between two materials tested, but in fracture toughness, group 2 and 3 were higher than In-Ceram. 5. The thermal expansion coefficients of experimental groups were varied to $4.51-5.35{\times}10^{-6}/^{\circ}C$ according to glass composition, also the flexural strengths of samples were varied. 6. In a view of SEM, many microparticles about $0.5{\mu}m$ diameter and $4{\mu}m$ diameter were observed in In-Ceram. But in experimental group, the size of most particles was about $4{\mu}m$, and a little microparticles was observed. The results obtained in this study showed that the mismatch of the thermal expansion coefficients between alumina powder and infiltrated glass affect the flexural strength of alumin/glass composite. The $Y_{2}O_{3}$-containing glass infiltrated ceramic core made by powder packing method will takes less time and cost with sufficient flexural strength similar to all ceramic crown made with slip casting technique.
