In this study, the experiment to confirm the risks of particulate material was carried out as a precedent study for developing the toxicity evaluation method of combustion products including the toxicity of particulate material. In the experiment, the test result of filtering and exposing particulate material among combustion products and that of exposing combustion products including particulate material were compared and analyzed by analyzing changes in average movement stop time according to the installation of Membrane filter between the stirring box and test box through the gas toxicity test of the same specimen to filter particulate material among combustion products. As the test result, in case of installing a filter, the average movement stop time of an experimental rat increased by up to 264% in case of lumber specimen and up to 179% in case of urethane specimen. Through such result, the necessity of identifying the toxicity of particulate material and carrying out quantitative toxicity test for particulate material was confirmed.

Most of the public and private buildings in Korea are installing CCTV for crime prevention and follow-up action, insider security, facility safety, and fire prevention, and the number of installations is increasing each year. In the questionnaire conducted on the increasing CCTV, many reactions were positive in terms of the prevention of crime that could occur due to the installation, rather than negative views such as privacy violation caused by CCTV shooting. However, CCTV poses a lot of privacy risks, and when the image data is collected using the cloud, the personal information of the subject can be leaked. InseCam relayed the CCTV surveillance video of each country in real time, including the front camera of the notebook computer, which caused a big issue. In this paper, we introduce a system to prevent leakage of private information and enhance the security of the cloud system by processing the privacy technique on image information about a subject photographed through CCTV.
What is particularly noteworthy from Korean and foreign railway tunnel disaster prevention standards is that for the sake of rapid evacuation, more stringent standards for provision of evacuation passages, which require high cost, are being applied. Korean standards stipulate that passage installation should be determined in accordance with the level of risk through a QRA analysis of each tunnel with 1km or longer length. As, however, detailed application criteria as fire occurrence probability, fire occurrence scenario, size of fires and evaluation criteria for level of social risk are not available, additional costs may be incurred due to excessive design. Thus, standards of an appropriate level need to be established. With this backdrop, this study selects detailed application conditions of a reasonable and appropriate level through a study and analysis of relevant documents and analyzes the maximum length of tunnels to which the application of evacuation passages, or the application major evacuation promotion facilities, can be relaxed, together with a QRA analysis of model tunnels (for high speed rail) with different tunnel lengths. In addition, the QRA results on tunnels, including those on the Honam high-speed rail, and analysis results for the model tunnels, are compiled, ; the ultimate results are compared with Korean and other countries' standards related to evacuation promotion facilities, As a result, The appropriateness of application standards are reviewed. These results are expected to be utilized as basic material for establishing a reasonable disaster prevention plan that will consider safety and economies.
The number of CCTV installed in Korea is over 1.3 million, increasing by more than 15% annually. However, due to the limited budget compared to the installation demand, the infrastructure is composed of 500,000 pixel low-quality CCTV, and there is a limits on identification of objects in the video. Public CCTV has high utility in various fields such as crime prevention, traffic information collection (control), facility management, and fire prevention. Especially, since installed in high height, it works as its role in solving diverse crime and is in increasing trend. However, the current public CCTV field is operated with potential problems such as inability to identify due to environmental factors such as fog, snow, and rain, and the low-quality of collected images due to the installation of low-quality CCTV. Therefore, in this study, in order to remove the typical low-quality elements of public CCTV, the method of attenuating scattered light in the image caused by dust, water droplets, fog, etc and algorithm application method which uses deep-learning algorithm to improve input video into videos over quality over 4K are suggested.

This paper tried to verify whether the fixed fire fighting system (FFFS) that is installed in road tunnel improves evacuation performance or not. Verification was performed according to the Disaster Prevention Facilities Installation and Management Guide at Road Tunnel. Twenty seven different fire scenarios were set up for the verification and the cases that FFFS was installed were compared with the cases that FFFS was not installed. The result of the comparison showed that the average equivalent death was reduced in 26 cases out of 27 cases when water spray extinguishing system was installed. It was confirmed that the risk when was not installed was unacceptable in Hong Kong and the Netherlands. On the other hand, it was confirmed that the risk was reduced to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) when was installed. The cumulative frequency of average death in case with FFFS was compared against the frequency of death without FFFS: death of one or more is about 50 times less; 10 or more is about 100 times less; and the death of more than 100 is four times less. It was verified that FFFS makes improved conditions to escape from the fires in road tunnel.

For this purpose, this study analyses 6 kinds of standards about floating architecture and 14 cases of floating residential architecture. As a result, this study finds out 4 points of architectural planning for floating residential architecture; first, planning of access to upland and walkway, second, public facilities and community space planning, third, planning of various equipment, material and fixed extinguishing system for fire prevention, forth, modular system planning including manufacturing, transporting and installation of modular house.
Most existing industrial robots have fences installed around them to ensure safety. However, industrial sites are recently being transformed into workspaces shared by both robots and humans working cooperatively, wherein the robots are without security fencing owing to the development of sensor technology. However, in the last five years (2017-2021), 16 deaths have occurred due to robots at industrial sites, with the main cause of the accidents being workers approaching an industrial robot in operation and getting entangled with or colliding into the robot and its peripherals. To prevent such accidents, multilateral research is needed. To this end, this study analyzes the nonconforming contents of safety inspections for industrial robots and demonstrates the safety performance of the safety function control system implemented in an industrial robot cell. In addition, to ensure the fundamental safety of industrial robots, this study proposes the introduction of a safety certification system so that safety functions can be implemented in the design, manufacturing, and installation stages of the robots.

Slime is produced by excavation during the installation of embedded piles, and it tends to mix with the cement paste injected into the pile shafts. The objective of this study is to investigate the strength and stiffness characteristics of cement pasteslime mixtures. Mixtures with different slime ratios are prepared and cured for 28 days. Uniaxial compression tests and elastic wave measurements are conducted to obtain the static and dynamic properties, respectively. The uniaxial compressive strengths and static elastic moduli of the mixtures are evaluated according to the curing period, slime ratio, and water-cement ratio. In addition, dynamic properties, e.g., the constrained, shear, and elastic moduli, are estimated from the compressional and shear wave velocities. The experimental results show that the static and dynamic properties increase under an increase in the curing period but decrease under an increase in the slime and water-cement ratios. The cement paste-slime mixtures show several exponential relationships between their static and dynamic properties, depending on the slime ratio. The bearing mechanisms of embedded piles can be better understood by examining the strength and stiffness characteristics of cement paste-slime mixtures.

In order to solve the traffic congest and environmental issues, small-cross section tunnel for small car only is increasing, but there is not standard for installation of disaster prevention facility. In this study, in order to investigate the behavioral characteristics of thermal environment and smoke in a small cross section tunnels with a large port exhaust ventilation system, the A86, the U-Smartway and the Seobu moterawy tunnel, Temperature and CO concentration in case of fire according to cross sectional area, heat release rate and exhaust air flow rate were analyzed by numerical analysis and the results were as follows. As the cross-sectional area of the tunnel decreases, the temperature of the fire zone increases and the rate of temperature rise is not significantly affected by heat release rate. However, there is a difference depending on the change of the exhaust air flow rate. In the case of applying the exhaust air flow rate $Q_3+2.5Ar$ of the large port exhaust ventilation system, the temperature of the fire zone was 7.1 times for A86 ($Ar=25.3m^2$) and 5.4 time for U-smartway ($Ar=37.32m^2$) by Seobu moterway tunnel ($Ar=46.67m^2$). The CO concentration of fire zone also showed the same tendency. The A86 tunnels were 10.7 times and the U-Smartways were 9.5 times more than the Seobu moterway. Therefore, in the case of a small section tunnel, the thermal environment and noxious gas concentration due to the reduction of the cross-sectional area are expected to increase significantly more than the cross-sectional reduction rate.
