  • Present, we cannot expect the maximum studying effect in a home economics and the drill unit of secondary schools because of several problems. Such problems can be enumerated as follows. 1. The explaination of a making process in texts would be difficult for the students who have a poor understanding to grasp. 2. The much effort would be made due to teacher’s repeated exhibition, by which the progress of a text might be unreasonable. 3. The teachers unaccustomed to the drill might treat it carelessly and become to avoid it. 4. The skill to grasp a general work flow might be lack. Baseing on such problems, this researcher did using a medium of Video in teaching method of home economics. For this purpose, the quality of Video Tape would be important. Above all, we made out the script of Video Tape through advices of specialists in Video medium, majors in home economics, and the students teaching of home economics and the concerned persons, by which we recorded a gather skirt, as a finished goods, especially of the characteristics of each kind of a skirt. Next, we recorded and produced the total steps from a preparation of skirt-making to a finishing as using a V.T.R. shot technique. The Video would be screened and the supplemented explaination of a teacher would be added in a step of instruction. In the development of instruction, students would begin the making. The expected effects according to using Video Tape are as follows. 1. The making order of text would be exhibited by a model directly and the explaination of a narrator would be added concurrently, by which students would understand it easily as confirming each step. 2. All students can watch these steps owing to a close up, one of the V.T.R Techniques. Accordingly, the teacher’s efforts would be decreased and the proper progress of a text could be maintained because of no repeated exhibition of a teacher. 3. To the teachers unaccustomed to and interested in a drill, the medium would become a subsidiary means. 4. Study all steps of a making, students would become to understand the general flow of a work. Therefore, it might be possible to generalize another units of a making. However though this study was designed don a basis of such effects, the using effects based on only the existing study results, and was focused on the production of a medium. Because this research would be a teacher and there was noncooperation of secondary schools, it was impossible to experiment in schools, which was the prime limitation of this study. Therefore we should be experiment further for the continuous studying.

  • State of problem: Zirconia all-ceramic restoration fabricated with CAM system is on an increasing trend in dentistry. However, evaluation of the marginal and internal fits of zirconia bridge seldomly have been reported. Purpose: This study was to evaluate the at of margin and internal surface in posterior 3-unit zirconia bridge framework fabricated with CAM system(DeguDent, Germany). Material and Method: Preparations of secondary premolar and secondary molar on artificial resin model were performed for fabrication of 3-unit posterior bridge framework. Fits of 5 zirconia bridge framework were compared with 5 precious ceramo-metal alloy framework(V-GnathosPlus, Metalor, Switzerland), and prepared margins were designed to chamfer and shoulder finishing line. Each framework was cemented to epoxy resin model with reinforced glass ionomer(FujiCEM, GC Co., Japan), embedded in acrylic resin and sectioned in two planes, mesio-distal and buccolingual. Samples were divided into six pieces by sectioning and had two pieces of each surface(i.e mesial, distal, buccal and lingual surface) per abutment, so there were eight measuring points in each abutment. External gap was measured at the margin and internal gaps were measured at the margin, axial and occlusal surface. Gaps were observed under the measuring microscope(Compact measuring microscope STM5; Olympus, Japan) at a magnification of $\times100$. T-test were used to determine the statistic significance of the different gaps between zirconia and metal framework. Results and Conclusion: 1. External and internal marginal gaps of zirconia and metal framework were in clinically acceptable range. External marginal gaps were not different significantly between zirconia$(81.9{\mu}m)$ and metal $(81.3{\mu}m)$ framework and internal marginal gaps of zirconia $(44.6{\mu}m)$ were smaller than those of metal framework $(58.6{\mu}m)$. 2. Internal axial gaps of zirconia framework$(96.7{\mu}m)$ were larger than those of metal frame-work$(78.1{\mu}m)$ significantly and adversely, internal occlusal gaps of zirconia frame-work$(89.4{\mu}m)$ were smaller than those of metal framework $(104.9{\mu}m)$ significantly. 3. There were no significant differences in external and internal marginal gaps between chamfer and shoulder finish line when zirconia frameworks were fabricated.

  • In recent years, a large number of robots have been developed in several countries, and these robots have been built for the purpose to appeal to users by well designed human-robot interaction. In case of the robots developed so far, they show proper reactions only when there is a certain input. On the other hands, they cannot perform in a standby mode which means there is no input. In other words, if a robot does not make any motion in standby mode, users may feel that the robot is being turned-off or even out of work. Especially, the social service robots maintain the standby status after finishing a certain task. In this period of time, if the robots can make human-like behavioral patterns such like a person in help desk, then they are expected to make people feels that they are alive and is more likely to interact with them. It is said that even if there is no interaction with others or the environment, people normally reacts to internal or external stimuli which are created by themselves such as moving their eyes or bodies. In order to create robotic behavioral patterns for standby mode, we analyze the actual facial expression and behavior from people who are in neutral affective emotion based on ethnographic methodology and apply extracted characteristics to our robots. Moreover, by using the robots which can show those series of expression and action, our research needs to find that people can feel like they are alive.

  • High concentration of $NH_3$, $CO_2$, and lots of dust are found in modern densely raising stall system, as results, they provide a negative influence on animal and lamer health, and production ability. Therefore, it is necessary to keep clean the inside of stall air to increase the productivity. A wet type air cleaner has been developed to clean the stall air. The work principle is that the inside air are sucked through the fan, and the rotating discs make a water into a fineness spray and blows into the stall. The spray can take the dust, $NH_3$, and odor from the stall inside air and give back to the circulating water, which can be refreshed in 2 hours interval. In the Present study, we measured the $NH_3$, dust, odor, temperature and humidity in a swine stall that were installed two wet air cleaners with 700 fattening swine with on-mode and off-mode of wet air cleaners. In fall, the concentrations of $NH_3$ in off-mode stall were maximum 24 ppm and minimum 16 prm, and the average was 18.2 ppm. However in on-mode stall the $NH_3$ concentrations were maximum 7ppm and minimum 1ppm, and the average was 2.7ppm. The concentration of $NH_3$ in on-mode was 74% lower than off-mode stall. Odor was measured by olfactometer. In the off-mode stall, the odor unit was 3,800 OU/$m^3$, but in the on-mode stall the odor unit was 2,100 OU/$m^3$ Odor removal efficiency was about 45% in on-mode stall. The dust measure was divided into 3 categories, $PM_{10}$, $PM_{2.5}$ and $PM_{1.0}$. Whereas the $PM_{10}$ showed no significant differences between the tests, $PM_{2.5}$ and $PM_{1.0}$ in the fine particle range reduced remarkably in the on-mode.

The results of improving on anticrease by the finished method were about ten per cent increase against their original samples. 2. The light density silks showed satisfactory improve for anticrease, but the heavy one remained as rather poor condition. 3. The results for degree of textile stiffness were investigated to make sure reserve their textile feeling and observed to be good condition upon the finish work. 4. Textile shrinkage after the repeat of soap wash was investigated on indivisual test sample and silk fabrics showed more shrinkage than polyester which it seemed to be tentering shrinkage druning their general finishing processes. 5. The investigation showed that anticrease, stiffness and shrinkage of the sample textile were more or less deteriorated regardless silk or polyester by the repeat of washings. These matters are considered that such results were obtained because of the fiber fatigue nature. 6. The report reached that silk textiles should be used by dry cleaning methed after finish of any resin finish to reserve their improved anticrease nature.

  • It was found that test piece heated rapidly by 3 kW microwave for 5 minutes satisfies the targeted temperature and the percentage of moisture content, and the highest rate of weight increase is obtained in case of 120 minute immersion in the mixture of phosphates and heterocyclic compounds, from the result of such analysis as: kiln drying schedule, flame retardent by flammability test, insect resistance by termites, and permeability of combined penetrant for the wood after assigning multifunctional finish by immersing conifer structural frame, which is used for the frame work of wooden house and indoor/outdoor finishing in flame retardant and insect repellent materials mixture with the remaining heat of microwave. In addition, after a test of flame retardent treated item, it was identified that every mixture of phosphates corresponds with the standards of flame retardent, and upon investigation of moritality of 7 days after putting termites, it was showed that test piece immersed in the mixture of phosphates and heterocyclic compounds has the best characteristics, showing over 96% of high moritality. From the analysis of inward permeability of combined penetrant for the wood, it was decided that excellent performance in the flame retardent and insect resistance of the wood revealed due to full penetration of combined penetrant as it was found that combined penetrant penetrated through the whole inner cells of the wood.

  • PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of the surface treatment and shape of the dental alloy on the composition of the prosthetic work and its metallic ion release in a corrosive medium after casting. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Orion Argos (Pd-Ag) and Orion Vesta (Pd-Cu) were used to cast two crowns and two disks. One of each was polished while the other was not. Two as-received alloys were also studied making a total of 5 specimens per alloy type. The specimens were submersed for 7 days in a lactic acid/sodium chloride solution (ISO standard 10271) and evaluated for surface structure characterization using SEM/EDAX. The solutions were quantitatively analysed for the presence of metal ions using ICP-MS and the results were statistically analysed with one-way ANOVA and a Tukey post-hoc test. RESULTS. Palladium is released from all specimens studied (range $0.06-7.08{\mu}g{\cdot}cm^{-2}{\cdot}week^{-1}$), with the Pd-Cu alloy releasing the highest amounts. For both types of alloys, ion release of both disk and crown pairs were statistically different from the as-received alloy except for the Pd-Ag polished crown (P>.05). For both alloy type, disk-shaped pairs and unpolished specimens released the highest amounts of Pd ions (range $0.34-7.08{\mu}g{\cdot}cm^{-2}{\cdot}week^{-1}$). Interestingly, in solutions submerged with cast alloys trace amounts of unexpected elements were measured. CONCLUSION. Shape and surface treatment influence ion release from dental alloys; polishing is a determinant factor. The release rate of cast and polished Pd alloys is between $0.06-0.69{\mu}g{\cdot}cm^{-2}{\cdot}week^{-1}$, which is close to or exceeding the EU Nickel Directive 94/27/EC compensated for the molecular mass of Pd ($0.4{\mu}g{\cdot}cm^{-2}{\cdot}week^{-1}$). The composition of the alloy does not represent the element release, therefore we recommend manufacturers to report element release after ISO standard corrosion tests beside the original composition.

  • The internal contamination screening method using gross beta measurement was performed for radioisotope workers. 24 h and spot urine samples from workers of medical isotope production facilities were collected and measured. Most of the results were similar with the background level of gross beta activity except for a specific worker. Gross beta activity was slightly increased in several hours after finishing work. And the environmental factor of production facilities causing internal contamination were estimated based on screening results. The additional detailed internal dose assessment must be followed after the screening for protection of workers. Moreover, a procedure was established to apply a simple internal contamination assessment for radiation workers.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand women's wear manufacturing industries. First, the study was to investigate the present production systems and how much the automatic facility are by comparing them. This study enhanced more efficient, stable, and suitable work line. This intern will direct the way in which automatic facilities will be created. Second, through this study on the general character of the inspectors, the ratio of impaired goods, and the reasons for unsatisfactory goods, I intended to find out a way to decrease the impaired goods and to produce competitive and high quality goods. The results of the survey can be summarized as follows; 1. The result of the research on the automatic industrial facilities shows that the majority of the factories (77.4%) are 40% below the automatic facility rate. The reasons for this according to order are that was a deficit in money, no reason for expensive machines, and lack of the technique and the number of workers required to handle the machines. 2. At this time, the most required equipments are shown according to its importance; automatic sewing machine, automatic cutting machine, automatic spreading machine, and finishing & pressing machine. So in the women's wear manufacturing industries, they think that they need more automatic cutting machine, automatic spreading machine in the cutting field rather than high price automatic machine in the sewing field such as pattern former, pocket welting, automatic sleeve connecting machine and automatic label connecting machine. 3. The result of the research in the goods quality shows that the average impaired rate is 12.7% at the first inspection. In addition the average rate for complete impaired rate is 1.52%. The line system shows that it has a impaired rate that is double the rate of the pair system. Because of this, the industries plan to combine the line system and pair system to create an improved and suitable production system which can boost the quality and productivity of the goods. 4. The fabric is the main point of the impaired goods. The factors of the impaired goods in manufacturing are the lack of mental abilities of the worker, impaired fabrics and a lack of cooperation in the working system. Furthermore, there is a lack of technique for new material. 5. To prohibit impaired goods in manufacturing, there need to be a way to educate the workers and to enhance the workers' mind on the productive goods. Also there need to increase in the investments of automatic production machines. Finally there need to be a standardized working line. Therefore, there need to be an improvement on the management of the production of goods, the development of technique and an increase in the education for the workers, with this there will be a decrease in impaired goods, and an increase in better quality of goods to enforce the domestic apparel industries.

  • Ultra rapid-hardening cement is widely used for latex-modified mortar and concrete as repair and finishing material during urgent work. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the improvements in strength made to SBR cement mortars by the adding of various admixtures and by the use of different curing methods. SBR cement mortar was prepared with various polymer-cement ratios, curing conditions and admixture contents, and tested for flow, flexural and compressive strengths. From the test results, it was determined that the flow of SBR cement mortar increased with an increase in the polymer-cement ratio, and the water reducing ratio also increased. The strength of cement mortar is improved by using SBR emulsion, and is strengthened by adding metakaoline. The strength of SBR cement mortar cured in standard conditions was increased with an increase in the polymer-cement ratio, and attained the maximum strengths at polymer-cement ratios of 15 % and 10 %, respectively. The maximum strengths of SBR cement mortar are about 1.8 and 1.3 times the strengths of plain mortar, respectively. In this study, it is confirmed that the polymer-cement ratio and curing method are important factors for improving the strengths of rapid-hardening SBR cement mortar.
