This study focuses on the investigation of geologic distribution and stratigraphy in the eastern part of Yeongdeok-gun, based on Lidar imaging, detailed field survey, microscopic observations, SHRIMP and LA-MC-ICPMS U-Pb age dating, and a new geological map has been created. The stratigraphy of the study area is composed of the Paleoproterozoic metamorphic rocks consisting of banded gneisses of sedimentary origin and schists ($1841.5{\pm}9.6Ma$) of volcanic origin, Triassic Yeongdeok plutonic rocks ($249.1{\pm}2.3Ma$) and Pinkish granites ($242.4{\pm}2.4Ma$), Jurassic Changpo plutonic rocks ($193.2{\pm}1.9Ma{\sim}188.8{\pm}2.0Ma$) and Fine-grained granites ($192.9{\pm}1.7Ma$), Formations [Gyeongjeongdong Fm, Ullyeonsan Fm. (~108 Ma), Donghwachi Fm.] of the Early Cretaceous Gyeongsang Supergroup and acidic volcanic rocks and dykes erupted and intruded in the Late Cretaceous, Miocene intrusive rhyolitic tuffs ($23.1{\pm}0.2Ma{\sim}22.97{\pm}0.13Ma$) and sedimentary rocks of the Yeonghae basin, and the Quaternary sediments. The Triassic Pinkish granites, Jurassic Changpo plutonic rocks and Fine-grained granites are newly defined plutonic rocks in this study. Miocene intrusive rhyolitic tuffs bounded by the Yangsan Fault, which was first discovered in the north of Pohang city, are believed to play an important role in the understanding of the Miocene volcanic activity and the crustal deformation history on the Korean Peninsula. It is confirmed that The NNE-SSW-striking Yangsan Fault penetrating the central part of the study area and branch faults are predominant in the dextral movement and cutting all strata except the Quaternary sediments.

The Dinosaur tracksite at Jeori, Geumseongmyeon, Euiseonggun, Gyeongsangbukdo, Korea (National Monument No. 373) has been studied in the aspects of location, stratigraphy, sedimentology, fossil occurrence, unique geological records, literature, significance in natural history, preservation, and management. On the basis of these features, the Jeori tracksite has been assessed semiquantitavely. The Jeori tracksite occurs in the Sagok Formation (Albian) of the Euiseong sub-basin, and over 300 footprints forming 12 sauropod trackways, 10 ornithopod trackways, and 1 theropod trackways are preserved in this tracksite. The track-bearing deposits consist of tabular-bedded medium- to fine-grained arkose with mudstone drape, interlaminated fine-grained sandstone to siltstone and mudstone, and shaly mudstone. The dinosaur tracks are preserved in the interlaminated fine-grained sandstone to siltstone and mudstone, and most of them are observed as underprints. The track-bearing deposits are interpreted as sheetflood deposits on the floodplain under a seasonal paleoclimatic condition with alternating of wetting and drying periods. Multiple tension fractures with NE strike were formed in the track-bearing bed, which resulted in that tracks seem to occur in several horizons. The significance in natural history of the tracksite can be summarized as follows: 1) the historical implication of the Jeori tracksite as the firstly designated National Monument of dinosaur fossil sites, 2) the high density of the occurrence of diverse footprints (over 300) within small area (about $1,600m^2$), and 3) the significance of the tension fractures associated with the track-bearing bed as geoeducational records for the understanding the development of fault. In order to share the value of the Jeori tracksite in the aspect of natural history with the community and public, the interpretive panel should be modified to include figures explaining paleoenvironment and tension fault development. In addition it is recommended that a brochure be published briefly explaining the tracksite and to educate the residents about the natural and social significance of the tracksite. For the safety of visitors it would be desirable for the road in front of the tracksite to be moved at least 10 m southward, which could mitigate the shaking of the track bed caused by traffic.
In 2017, Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) has excavated a trench at Yongjang-li in the city of Gyeongju to examine the evidence of fault movement related with the 2016 earthquake in unconsolidated sediments. In the trench profile, the author has observed the features of ongoing soil-forming processes and groundwater movement overlapped on the sedimentary layers. The soil formation was in its initial stage, and most of the original sedimentary layers could be observed. The color changes depending on the redox conditions and by the Mn/Fe oxide precipitation, however, were the most significant features obscuring sedimentary records. The dark Mn oxide precipitates formed at the groundwater levels often concealed the sedimentary unit boundaries. The groundwater levels varied depending on the particle sizes of the sedimentary layers contacting the groundwater, and the Mn oxide precipitates have formed at varying depths. The groundwater could move upward along the narrow pores in the fine-textured sedimentary layer more than a few meters showing the gray color indicating a reducing condition for iron.
This study aims to investigate hydrogeological properties of the central area from Yangjeong-Dong to Sujeong-Dong in Busan Metropolitan City. For this study, pumping tests were carried out in the bedrock aquifer of Yangjeong-Dong and the unconsolidated aquifer near Busanjin railway station. The pumping test in the bedrock aquifer containing the Dongrae fault revealed specific hydraulic characteristics with respect to the fault. The pumping test in the unconsolidated aquifer revealed the hydrogeologic properties of both coastal landfill and fine sediments. It was found that the Moench's sphere-shaped dual-porosity model fits the bedrock aquifer, whereas the Neuman's uncofined aquifer model accords with the unconsolidated aquifer. The average transmissivity and storage coefficient of the bedrock aquifer are $2.75{\times}10^{-5}m^2/s\;and\;6.41{\times}10^{-5}$ and those of the unconsolidated aquifer are $8.24{\times}10^{-4}m^2/s\;and\;3.70{\times}10^{-3}$, respectively. On the other hand, slug tests gave average transmissivity and storage coefficient values of $9.84{\times}10^{-4}m^2/s\;and\;1.21{\times}10^{-2}$, respectively.
The Buncheon manganese ore deposits occur in vein along the fault of $N20^{\circ}E$, cutting the foliation of Yulri Series. The deposits consist of primary manganese silicate ores in the deeper part and superficial manganese oxide ores near the surface. The spatial distribution of manganese oxide ores with respect to the manganese silicate ores suggests that the manganese oxide ores are the supergene oxidation product of the manganese silicate ores. Manganese silicate ores consist mainly of fine-to coarse-grained pyroxmangite with minor rhodochrosite, quartz, sulfides and chlorite. Manganese oxide ores are composed of supergene manganese oxides such as nsutite, birnessite, manganite and todorokite, and other associated minerals. Paragenetic sequence of formation of the manganese minerals are as follows: $\array{{rhodochrosite{_{\rightarrow}^o}todorokite{_{\searro}^o}}\\pyroxmangite{_{\line(10){90}}^o}{\nearro}}birnessite{_{\rightarrow}^o}nsutite{_{\rightarrow}^s}manganite$ In order to elucidate the mineralogy of the manganese minerals, microscopic, X-ray, IR spectroscopic, and thermal studies were made for manganese and associated minerals.
The microstructural changes of Fe-20Mn-12Cr-1Cu alloy have been studied during high temperature gas nitriding (HTGN) at the range of $1000^{\circ}C{\sim}1150^{\circ}C$ in an atmosphere of nitrogen gas. The mixed microstructure of austenite and ${\varepsilon}$-martensite of as-received alloy was changed to austenite single phase after HTGN treatment at the nitrogen-permeated surface layer, however the interior region that was not affected nitrogen permeation remained the structure of austenite and ${\varepsilon}$-martensite. With raising the HTGN treatment temperature, the concentration and permeation depth of nitrogen, which is known as the austenite stabilizing element, were increased. Accordingly, the depth of austenite single phase region was increased. The outmost surface of HTGN treated alloy at $1000^{\circ}C$ appeared Cr nitride. And this was in good agreement with the thermodynamically calculated phase diagram. The grain growth was delayed after HTGN treatment temperature ranges of $1000^{\circ}C{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$ due to the grain boundary precipitates. For the HTGN treatment temperature of $1150^{\circ}C$, the fine grain region was shown at the near surface due to the grain boundary precipitates, however, owing to the depletion of grain boundary precipitates, coarse grain was appeared at the depth far from the surface. This depletion may come from the strong affinity between nitrogen and substitutional element of Al and Ti leading the diffusion of these elements from interior to surface. Because of the nitrogen dissolution at the nitrogen-permeated surface layer by HTGN treatment, the surface hardness was increased above 150 Hv compared to the interior region that was consisted with the mixed microstructure of austenite and ${\varepsilon}$-martensite.
The purpose of this study is to apply 3D computer graphics in fashion design as a creative medium and it attempts to fine out what advantages 3D technique can offer to fashion design. For this purpose, this study, first, tries to develop a 3D digital model in which designer can select design, color , pattern and fabric palette whatever necessary . This study uses of the software named 'Poser of Fractal Design' and the and the 3D digital model comprises four stages ; body modeling, item design (item coordination), color design (color coordination), pattern and fabric design (pattern and fabric coordination). Secondly, this study seeks to accumulate a data base which was produced in the course of case studies, which have applied 3D digital model to design. The outcome of the case studies shows that 3D digital model can enhance designing in the following four aspects. ⅰ) It can give more freedom to designer to try various ideas, revise and modify them, It can also produce random generation. Through this process, the designer test various input and output without damage on fabric after revision and alteration. ⅱ) It can help designers to enhance their accuracy. Since fault in the design developed by the 3D digital model can be detected in advance, designers can make correlation before actual work begins. In the end, designers can express their ideas and intention accurately as well as freely. ⅲ) Since design developed by the 3D digital model can be shared on screen by various actors in the course of priduction such designers , merchandisers, and supervisors, it can help communication between and cut the time of feedback.ⅳ) By using the 3D digital model, designers can work from the begining with awareness of actual outcome their design, since the 3D digital model provide animation, which helps designers to envisage visual changes as they apply various items, colors, pattern and fabrics.

Recently, fine dust has been known to cause cardiovascular diseases here, raising interest in ways to reduce emissions by efficiently using fuel from cars that cause air pollution. Accordingly, a driving assistance system was developed to save fuel by eco-driving and improve the driver's bad driving habits. The system was developed using raspberry pi, arduino and Android. Using RPM, speed, fuel injection information obtained from OBD-II, and gyro-sensor values, Fuel-Cut is induced to create an optimal inertial driving environment. It also provides various information system such as weather, driving environment, and preventing drowsy driving through GUI and voice recognition functions. It is possible to check driving records and vehicle fault information using Android application and has low overhead for message transmission using MQTT protocol optimized for IoT environment.
The microstructural characterization of ternary $ZnS_{x}Se_{1-x}$(x=0.085) on GaAs(001) substrate grown up to $2{\mu}m\;at\;300^{\circ}C$ by molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) which has a single growth chamber was investigated by high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) working at 300 kV with point resolution of 0.18nm. The interface in the ZnSSe/GaAs specimen maintains a pseudomorphism with the substrate, but the epilayer has high density of stacking faults and moire fringes. The pits which had formed along <111> direction were found at the interface of ZnSSe/GaAs. The pits were responsible for producing defects in both epilayer and substrate. The wavy interface which has the difference of 15nm in height was found to maintain the pseudomorphism with the substrate and no stacking faults were found around the interface. However there exists faint and fine moire fringes in the epilayer near interface.

The normal cement concrete is widely used material to build the construction recently, but it has a fault to increase the dead load on account of its unit weight is large compared with strength. So, main purpose of this study was to establish the physical and mechanical properties of lightweight concrete using expanded polystyrene bead on fine aggregate and natural gravel, expanded clay and pumice stone on coarse aggregate. The test rusults of this study are summarized as follows; 1. The water-cement ratio of concrete using pumice stone was larger than that of the concrete using natural gravel and expanded clay. 2. The unit weights of concrete using pumice stone and expanded caly were shown less than 1,000g/$m^3$. 3. The compressive strengths of all types were shown less than 60kg/$cm^2$, tensile and bending strengths were shown less than l3kg/$cm^2$ and 3lkg/$cm^2$$^2$, respectively. 4. The pulse velocity of concrete was shown similar with using natural gravel and pumice stone, and shown the lowest using pumice stone. 5. The dynamic modulus of elasticity of concrete was shown considerably smaller, and shown the lowest using pumice stone. 6. The static modulus of elasticity of concrete using expanded clay and pumice stone were shown considerably smaller, and shown 22% ~29% as compared with the dynamic modulus of elasticity. 7. The stress-strain curves of concrete were shown similar, generally. And the curves were repeated at short intervals increase and decreased irregularly.
