This paper discussed pozzolanic reaction properties of classified fly ashes by using of electrostatic precipitator. Blaine values of fly ashes at hoppers are respectively about 3000(ordinary), 5000(fine) and 8000cm2/g(super-fine). The pozzolanic reactivity of fly ash at early stage and at later stage are respectively related to the related to the fineness and the glass content of fly ash. But the early hydration of cement was retarded by addition of super fine fly ashes. the adiabatic temperature rise of mortar containing fly ash is increased with the fineness of fly ashes.
Utilization of upgraded fine fly ash in cement-based materials has been proved by many researchers as an effective method to improve compressive strength of cement based materials at early ages. The addition of fine fly ash has introduced dilution effect, enhanced pozzolanic reaction effect, nucleation effect and physical filling effect into cement-fly ash system. In this study, an integrated reaction model is adpoted to quantify the contributions from cement hydration and pozzolanic reaction to compressive strength. A modified model related to the physical filling effect is utilized to calculate the compressive strength increment considering the gradual dissolution of fly ash particles. Via combination of these two parts, a numerical model has been proposed to predict the compressive strength development of fine fly ash mortar considering fly ash fineness. The reliability of the model is validated through good agreement with the experimental results from previous articles.
The purpose of this study is investigating characteristics of the concrete containing Fly-ash according to different 4 mix design, that is, the first mix design is partial replace Fly-ash of cement, second is partial replace Fly-ash of cement and fine aggregate, third is partial replace Fly-ash of fine aggregate, fourth partial replacement of fine and coarse aggregate. For this purpose, selected test variables were water-binder ratio with two levels of 45%, 50%, and Fly-ash contents with four levels 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, As the result of this study are as follow. 1) The result of mix design of a partial replacement of cement, the slump-flow value was appeared a promotive effect of viscosity. But in case of the over with Fly-ash 10% and the other mix design was not changed slump value. 2) The unit weight of the mixing rate with Fly-ash 0% was $1.875{\sim}1.884t/m^3$, the other mix design 10% over with Fly-ash was $1.846{\sim}1.615t/m^3$, the difference was appeared less about 15% than that. 3) In design, partial replace Fly-ash of fine aggregate, this compressive strength was appeared that the concrete age after 7 days was higher than in partial replacement of cement, therefore, the default of a concrete with Fly-ash, that is the earlier compressive strength was to lessen, was improved. 4) The thermal conductivity of the all mix design was $0.447{\sim}1.144kcal/mh^{\circ}C$, this value was as good as a lightweight aggregate concrete.
The aim of the research is to investigate the fundamental properties and heat of hydration reducing performance of the fly ash incorporated concrete mixture when the coal gas slag (CGS) from integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) is used as fine aggregate. From the results of the experiment, the workability was generally increased and the air content was decreased up to one to four percent with increasing the replacing ratio of CGS to fine aggregate. The compressive strength was similar or increased within five percent to the Plain mixture when the CGS was used as a fine aggregate. When the CGS and fly ash were used same time, the heat of hydration reducing performance was improved than single using cases either CGS or fly ash. Based on the results, for the concrete mixture using CSG as a portion of the combined fine aggregate, the general properties were improved and heat of hydration was decreased approximately 16 % when the fly ash was replaced 30 % to cement and the CGS was replaced less than 50 % to fine aggregate.

In this paper, compressive strength, water permeability and abrasion resistance of concretes containing high volume fine fly ash (FFA) and fine ground palm oil fuel ash (GPA) were studied. Portland cement type I was replaced with FFA and GPA at dosages up to 70% by weight of binder. Ground river sand (GRS) was also used to replace Portland cement in order to indicate the level of filler effect. Results indicated that FFA was slightly more reactive than GPA. The replacement of 40-70% of FFA produced concretes with compressive strength, permeability and abrasion resistance comparable to those of normal concretes. The incorporation of GPA slightly reduced the performances of concretes as compared to those of FFA concretes. The reduction of Portland cement was partly compensated by the increase in pozzolanic activity of the fine fly ash and palm oil fuel ash and thus enabled the large replacement levels.
This study is for the great quantity use of fly-ash. For the producing of high volume concrete from the use of fly-ash, the method of replacement between bonding agents and fine aggregate by fly-ash at the same time was used. It was used that the adiabatic temperature rise of concrete about the mass member which bad been produced by the method that was mentioned before, and the hydration heat of the core test pieces in concrete was measured. Also the core test pieces which were replaced with fly-ash was studied by the compressive streneth's comparison between standard care test pieces and core test pieces. In the case of mass test pieces, hydration heat and the tine to reach the highest temperature were decreased by an increase in replaced fly-ash's amounts of concrete. In addition, among the test pieces having the same amounts of concrete, the test pieces having more replaced amounts of fly-ash's fine aggregate showed higher hydration heat and the increased time to reach the highest temperature. Compressive strength was also increased by hydration heat's decrease according to fly-ash replacement. Replacement of fly-ash was more effective in high temperature environment.

Coal ash is a by-product of the combustion of pulverized coal, and much of this is dumped in landfills. The disposal of coal ash is one of the major issues for environmental problems. In this paper, the effects of the kinds and replacement ratio of coal ash on the durabilities of concrete mixtures are investigated. Fine aggregate was replaced with coal ash(fly ash and bottom ash) in five different ratios, of 0%, 10%, 20%, 35%, and 50% by volume. Test results indicated that the compressive strength increased with the increase in fly ash percentage. The loss of compressive strength of bottom ash concrete mixes after immersion in sulphuric acid solution was less than in the control mix(BA0). In addition, the carbonation depth of fly ash concrete mixes was lower than the control mix(FA0).
