  • As security management center of financial area, financial ISAC monitors financial corporations and provides security services. Financial ISAC minimizes damage by responding quickly to external attack such as hacking, virus but it is poor at handling internal attack. For the efficient management and stable operation of information source, also to respond jointly to online hacking, the necessity of information sharing system increases day by day in and outside country. This paper proposes financial ISAC that can prevent a secondary damage of leakage information as well as providing security services. The proposed financial ISAC provides new password to financial corporation in which the same ID and password as leakage information are used and in case of financial information leakage it warns customers against phishing etc.

  • Information system (IS) security continues to present a challenge for firms. Especially, IT security accident is recently taking place successively in the financial sector. Thus, a comprehensive measure on this is demanded. A large part of a research on security relies upon technical design in nature and is restrictive in a consideration of person and organizational issue. To achieve a goal of firm security, it is possible with an effort of organizational management and supervision for maintaining the technical and procedural status. Based on a theory of accountability, we propose that the security countermeasures of organization lead to an increase in accountability and reduction in risk of IT security in a financial firm and further to firm performance like promotion in firm reliability. In addition, we investigate which difference a theoretical model shows by comparison between South Korean and American financial firms. As a result of analysis, it found that South Korea and America have significant difference, but that a measure on the financing IT security is important for both countries. We aim to enhance interpretability of a research on security by comparatively analysis between countries and conducting a study focus on specific firm called financial business. Our study suggest new theoretical framework to a research of security and provide guideline on design of security to financial firm.

  • As a reinforcing strategic-alignment of IT business, Financial Service becomes more rely on IT systems. It needs to continuous information security activities to provide a secure and reliable finance service. Performance measurement of information security activities can be useful for decision and management support. The purpose of this study is to derive CSF(Critical Success Factor) and KPI(Key Performance Indicator) based on K-ISMS, Financial IT Information Security Standards. Providing a rationale can be used to determine key performance indicators, which are utilized as basic data for establishing security policies for financial IT security competency.

  • By known attacks against cryptographic technology and decline of security, internal and external major institutions have defined their recommendations in kinds, expiration, safe parameters of cryptographic technology and so on. Internal financial fields will change some cryptographic technology to follow these recommendations. To keep strong security of financial systems against sudden security changes of cryptographic technology, this article finds pre-steps : status of applied cryptographic technology, selection of vulnerable cryptographic technology. And plans for management of cryptographic technology in financial fields will be proposed.

  • The purposes of this study were to examine low-income households' financial statuses and the socio-economic characteristics of single-person and non-single person households according to the financial indexes used for evaluating financial security and growth status developed based on financial ratios. Using 2009 KLIPS(Korean Labor & Income Panel Survey) data collected by the Korean Labor Institute, the satisfaction levels from the indexes were analyzed and compared between the two household types. The results showed that 46.0% of single-person households were not satisfactory in terms of all financial growth indexes but were partially satisfactory in terms of all financial security indexes. These householders tended to be females and in the their 70s, who lived in Seoul or in a suburb of Seoul, Korea. They reported problems with a lack of financial growth possibilities. 47.0% of non-single person households were not satisfactory in terms of all financial growth indexes but were partially satisfactory in terms of all financial security indexes. These householders tended to be males in their 60s and 70s with no job who were living in Seoul or in a suburb of Seoul, Korea. They reported having low level of liquidity and high level of debt redemption. 42.6% of single-person households were not satisfactory in terms of both financial security and growth indexes partially. These householders tended to be females in their 20s or 70s who were living in rural areas. They reported problems related to an adverse balance between household income and expenditures and a large scale of debt. 43.1% of non-single households were not satisfactory in terms of both financial security and growth indexes partially. These householders tended to be males in their 60s or 70s and homeowners. They reported problem related to an adverse balance of household income and expenditures and high a level of housing expenditures and liquidity. The research findings have implication for policy makers considering financial support programs and welfare programs for low-income householders, considering the recent changes in households structures.

  • The methods of electronic financial fraud continue to evolve. Various research and countermeasures have been proposed to counter this problem, but it is difficult to eradicate it. The purpose of this study is to analyze the risk of electronic financial fraud through MS Threat Risk Modeling and to propose the countermeasures against the electronic financial fraud. As a result of the analysis, it is confirmed that despite the difference of authentication methods, there is a high risk of pharming, and it is difficult to prevent attack by using only additional authentication means, device security or user authentication based security system. Therefore, this study suggests the introduction of preventive measures such as readjustment of transaction limit by security means, account authentication, and additional physical security measures. It also suggests the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive electronic financial fraud prevention policy through linkage of electronic fraud prevention system and improvement of public relations and user awareness.

  • As cloud computing can utilize the proper allocation of system resources, it can be expected to have great benefits in terms of maintaining availability and reducing costs when a cloud is applied to a financial company's computer system. Although some provisions of the Financial Supervisory Regulation were revised in October 2016, this is limited to non-critical information processing systems, limits are remain whitch the application of cloud computing to the whole computer system of financial companies including electronic financial systems. In this paper, cloud security requirements are studied for the application of financial company's computational infrastructure system.

  • Recently, information security of IoT(Internet of Things) have been increasing to interest and many research groups have been studying for cryptographic algorithms, which are suitable for IoT environment. LEA(Lightweight Encryption Algorithm) developed by NSRI(National Security Research Institute) is commensurate with IoT. In this paper, we propose two first-order Correlation Power Analysis(CPA) attacks for LEA and experimentally demonstrate our attacks. Additionally, we suggest the mask countermeasure for LEA defeating our attacks. In order to estimate efficiency for the masked LEA, its operation cost is compared to operation time of masked AES.

  • Electronic financial transactions are also actively increasing due to the rapid spread of information communication media such as the Internet, smart devices, and IoT, but as a derivative by-product, threats of financial security such as leakage of various personal information and hacking are also increasing. Therefore, the importance of financial security against this is increasing, but in Korea, financial security technology is relatively insufficient compared to advanced countries in the field of financial security, such as Active-X. Therefore, this study aims to present the major development direction in the domestic financial security field by comparing key technology trends with IPC classification frequency analysis, keyword frequency analysis, and keyword network analysis based on domestic and foreign financial security-related patent data. In conclusion, it seems that recent domestic and foreign trends have focused on the development of related technologies according to the development of smart device-based electronic financial services. Accordingly, it is intended to be used as the basis data for technology development of financial security by mapping the trend of financial security research trend and technology trend analysis through thesis data analysis that reflects the research of the preceding aspect as the technology of commercialization in the future.

  • Previous e-financial anomalies analysis and detection technology collects large amounts of electronic financial transaction logs generated from electronic financial business systems into big-data-based storage space. And it detects abnormal transactions in real time using detection rules that analyze transaction pattern profiling of existing customers and various accident transactions. However, deep analysis such as attempts to access e-finance by insiders of financial institutions with large scale of damages and social ripple effects and stealing important information from e-financial users through bypass of internal control environments is not conducted. This paper analyzes the management status of e-financial security programs of financial companies and draws the possibility that they are allies in security control of insiders who exploit vulnerability in management. In order to efficiently respond to this problem, it will present a comprehensive e-financial security management environment linked to insider threat monitoring as well as the existing e-financial transaction detection system.
