냉각핀 형상에 따른 타이어 사이드월의 표면온도 저감 효과 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Prediction of the Temperature Reduction of Tire Sidewalls According to the Shape of the Cooling Fins)

  • 타이어의 반복적 변형과 노면과의 마찰은 열발생을 야기하여 타이어의 온도를 상승시킨다. 이 온도 증가는 타이어 손상을 가져오는 요인이 될 수 있다. 이 같은 온도 상승을 억제하고자 타이어 측면에 냉각핀을 적용하고, 이에 따른 냉각 효과를 규명하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 이를 위하여 8개의 냉각핀 형상이 검토 되었으며, 냉각핀 형상에 따른 사이드월 표면 온도 저감 효과를 수치해석적 분석을 통해 규명하였다. 또한 핀 후류에서의 와류에 의한 유동특성과 열전달특성을 비교하였다.

  • Numerical analysis of the radiant heat characteristic around heatsink according to arrangement and shape of fin on 60W-LED lamp is conducted in this study. In the case of top blow blowing from upper side on LED lamp, there is just little difference in cooling characteristics according to the height of fin. On the other hand, the fin arranged side by side has the advantage of heat transfer enhancement by comparing with zig-zag type because it leads to more loss of flow. In case of making fin round to increase the amount of heat transfer, designing arrangement with the minimized loss of flow has the advantage of characteristic.

  • In this study, geometric shape and crack in welded interface of the air cooled heat exchanger Fin-Tube of Dissimilar Meterials was analysed. The object of study is to understand the behavior of Stress Intensity Factor for fin length, flash thickness, flash length, symmetric and asymmetric cracks of comming from the manufacturing process. Stress Intensity Factor was analysed by BEM. Kelvin's solution was used as a fundamental solution in BEM analysis and stress extrapolation method was used to determine Stress Intensity Factor.

V형 원형휜-원형관의 강제대류 열유동 특성 (Forced Convection Characteristics of V shape Circular fin-tube Heat Exchanger)

  • The purpose of the present study is to investigate the flow resistances and heat transfer characteristics of V-shaped circular fin-tube heat exchangers. Four types of V-shaped fins in which the fin areas are identical but the areas of the V-shaped portion are different have been tested numerically. The results obtained for heat transfer, pressure drop, and fin temperature are discussed in this paper. With increase in the area of the V-shaped portion, the pressure drop and heat transfer increase up to 40% and 24%, respectively, in the present test range.

마이크로핀관과 평활관에서의 증발열전달과 압력손실 특성 (Evaporation heat transfer and Pressure loss in micro-fin tubes and a smooth tube)

  • Evaporation heat transfer coefficient and pressure loss were measured for three different micro-fin tubes and a smooth tube. The experiments were carried out with R-22 over a wide range of vapor Quality, mass velocity and heat flux. Heat transfer coefficient of the tube with slightly modified fin shape was found to be higher than that of the commercial reference tube by 60%. The improvement of heat transfer has been achieved without noticeable increase of pressure loss. Heat transfer coefficient was increased with increasing quality, refrigerant mass flux, and heat flux. However, the effect of refrigerant mass flux and heat flux was not great. Heat transfer coefficient at bottom was lower than that at top of the tube in low quality region, which suggested the existence of stratification in the micro-fin tube. Pressure drop was linearly increased with increasing refrigerant quality and was proportional to about square of mass flux.

Hedgehog Seahorse (Hippocampus spinosissimus)의 산출습성 및 형태발달 (Morphological Development and Reproductive Behavior of Hedgehog Seahorse Hippocampus spinosissimus (Teleostei: Syngnathidae))

  • This study described the reproductive behavior and the morphological development of the larvae and juvenile of the hedgehog seahorse (Hippocampus spinosissimus). Larvae released from male seahorse were reared for 30 days in the laboratory. At the birth, the small flap-like mouth and anus of the yolk-sac larvae were open, and the yolk was completely absorbed within 1 day. The size of newborn larvae ranged 7.01-13.19mm (mean $9.26\pm1.9mm$, n=9) in TL (total length). The larvae had 15-16 pectoral fin rays and 19 dorsal fin rays, but 4 anal fin rays were not completely developed. The larval size ranged 13.38-14.38 mm (mean $13.96\pm0.3mm$, n=6) in TL at 1 day after release, and they had 17 pectoral fin rays, 20 dorsal fin rays and 4 anal fin rays when the larvae reached the juvenile stage. Juvenile size ranged 14.98-16.42mm (mean $15.84\pm0.5mm$, n=5) in TL at 3 days after release, and 1, 4, 6, 8 trunk spines extended quickly. Terminal part of the coronet became a four-forked wedge shape concurrently. Juvenile became 23.25mm (n=l) in TL after 15 days and all 11 trunk rings was connected completely. After 20 days, the juveniles were 24.66-28.65mm (mean $27.26\pm1.6mm$, n=5) in TL, and many melanophores appeared in integument. In the eye lenses, 5-6 lusters were formed. After 30 days, the juveniles were 26.78-28.26 mm (mean $27.36\pm0mm$, n=4)in TL and 8-9 lusters appeared on the eye lenses. Coronet terminal part developed to a five-forked crown-shape completely.

  • 본 연구에서는 선수 돌출의 반전형 선수 형상을 가진 고속 쌍동선의 선체부착 부가물에 의한 주행성능 영향에 대하여 수치해석과 회류수조 모형시험을 통하여 비교분석하였다. 반전형 선수 형상은 재래식 선수 형상보다 선수 발산파 파정의 생성위치를 선미방향으로 이동시켜 개선된 조파형상을 보이며, 저항 및 안정된 항주자세에 효과적임을 보였다(Kim et al., 2019). 본 연구에서의 반전형 선수 내측에 부착된 핀과 선미단 인터셉터(Interceptor)에 의한 파형과 항주자세 변화 등 주행성능에 대한 모형시험 결과에서는, 1) 반전형 선수의 Trim 특성 2) Fin에 의한 내측 파의 중첩 개선 3) Fin과 Interceptor에 의한 자세제어는 두 선체 연결갑판(Wetdeck) 충격을 줄이는데 효과적인 것으로 판단된다.

핀 형상에 따른 폐열회수용 핀-튜브 열교환기의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of Fin-Tube Heat Exchangers with Various Fin Shapes for Waste Gas Heat Recovery)

  • As an innovative effort to secure economically viable heat recovery system, various fin shapes for industrial fin-tube heat exchangers have been studied for better performance. In this study, the waste gas heat recovery from four different fin shapes was experimentally performed for heat transfer rate and pressure drop. According to the tested results, the twist and wavy shape fins of rectangular type show the superior performance in terms of Goodness factor and jH/f factor ratio, whereas the circular spiral fin shows the inferior values. Experimental results shows good comparison with the numerical results with a slight discrepancy of 5%, which is quite resonable.

  • In recent years, air-conditioning units designed with higher efficiency and more compactness are required due to emphasis on energy efficiency in home electrical appliances. This trend in the air-conditioning industries has accelerated the development of improved heat exchanger with a better performance in heat transfer aspects. In this study, experiments were performed to investigate the shape and configuration of fins affecting on the performance of the conventional fin-and-tube type heat exchanger equipped in a commercial air conditioners. The geometry similtude method was employed to measure the heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop. Experimental results show that this method is very useful to analyze the heat transfer characteristics of the fin-and-tube type heat exchanger. It is also found that the slit fin has better performance than the conventional fin type in the air conditioners. The present results indicate that heat transfer from the fin si influenced by the parameters such as the forming area of the slit fin, the type of interrupted surfaces like a louver or slit, slit patterns and slit raised direction, and it also affects the overall heat exchanger performance.

열교환 향상을 위한 경사각이 다른 사다리꼴 휜에 대한 성능해석 (Performance Analysis on the Trapezoidal Fins having Different Slope for Enhanced Heat Exchange)

  • 다른 윗면 경사각을 가진 사다리꼴 휜 들에 대한 성능 해석이 3차원 해석적 방법에 의하여 조사된다. 단지 경사요소 값을 조정함으로써 한가지 식으로 다른 경사각을 가진 사다리꼴 횐 들을 해석할 수 있는 것이 보여진다. 나머지 변수들을 임의로 고정하였을 때 휜들의 성능들이 무차원 휜 길이, 휜 폭, Biot 수 그리고 경사요소에 대한 함수로 보여진다. 하나의 결과로서 Biot 수가 0.1 이하의 경우에서는 Biot 수, 무차원 휜 폭 그리고 경사요소가 감소함에 따라, 반면에 무차원 길이가 증가함에 따라 휜 유용도는 증가 하나 더 큰 Biot 수에서는(즉, Bi=0.3) 유용도에 대한 횐 형상의 효과의 변화 경향은 다소간 불규칙적이다.
