In this paper, we propose an efficient method for implementing the adaptive second-order Volterra filter. To reduce computational load, the UCFD-SVF has been proposed. The UCFD-SVF, however, shows deteriorated convergence performance. We propose a new method that initializes the adaptive filter weights periodically on the fact that the energy of the filter weights is slowly increased. Furthermore, we propose another method that the interval for the weight initialization is variable to guarantee the performance and we shows the method gives the better performance under the non-stationary environment through the computer simulation for the adaptive system identification.

In this paper, the application of a variable characteristic impedance transmission line that can be used to design a dual-band bandpass filter(BPF) is presented. The proposed filter offers a fixed first frequency passband and a controllable second passband. The tuning of the second passband is achieved by varying the characteristic impedance of and open shunt stub line in a stub loaded resonator(SLR) with the help of a defected ground structure(DGS) transmission line and varactor diodes. In order to validate the proposed structure, a two stage dual-band BPF with three transmission zeros was implemeted and experimentally verified based on its theoretical predictions and simulations.
In this paper, we propose a variable step size algorithm to enhance the normalized subband adaptive filter which has been proposed to improve the convergence characteristics of the conventional full band adaptive filter. The well-known Kwong's variable step size algorithm is simple, but shows better performance than that of the fixed step size algorithm. However, in case that large additive noise is present, the performance of Kwong's algorithm is getting deteriorated in proportion to the amount of the additive noise. We devised a variable step size algorithm which does not depend on the amount of additive noise by exploiting a normalized adaptation error which is the error subtracted and normalized by the estimated additive noise. We carried out a performance comparison of the proposed algorithm with other algorithms using a system identification model. It is shown that the proposed algorithm presents good convergence characteristics under both stationary and non-stationary environments.
The conventional normalized least mean square (NLMS) algorithm is the most widely used for adaptive identification within a non-stationary input context. The convergence of the NLMS algorithm is independent of environmental changes. However, its steady state performance is impaired during input sequences with low dynamics. In this paper, we propose a new NLMS algorithm which is, in the steady state, insensitive to the time variations of the input dynamics. The square soot (SR)-NLMS algorithm is based on a normalization of the LMS adaptive filter input by the Euclidean norm of the tap-input. The tap-input power of the SR-NLMS adaptive filter is then equal to one even during sequences with low dynamics. Therefore, the amplification of the observation noise power by the tap-input power is cancelled in the misadjustment time evolution. The harmful effect of the low dynamics input sequences, on the steady state performance of the LMS adaptive filter are then reduced. In addition, the square root normalized input is more stationary than the base input. Therefore, the robustness of LMS adaptive filter with respect to the input non stationarity is enhanced. A performance analysis of the first- and the second-order statistic behavior of the proposed SR-NLMS adaptive filter is carried out. In particular, an analytical expression of the step size ensuring stability and mean convergence is derived. In addition, the results of an experimental study demonstrating the good performance of the SR-NLMS algorithm are given. A comparison of these results with those obtained from a standard NLMS algorithm, is performed. It is shown that, within a non-stationary input context, the SR-NLMS algorithm exhibits better performance than the NLMS algorithm.
The purpose of this study is to provide a way to develop the information quality of mobile real estate service and improve the false property through search filter service. I compared the cases of typical mobile real estate apps that are currently in use and analyzed the usage and service status by adopting 13 search filters that are the first priority when searching for real estate information. As a result, it has been shown that the provision of high quality search filter service is required to improve the information quality in order to provide users with quick and reliable information organically at any time and anywhere according to the definition of mobile real estate service. As a result, it is more prejudiced than the countermeasures against false fraudulent products, and it is satisfied with the needs of the users and provides the improved search filter service, so that it can be trusted with the definition of mobile real estate brokerage service, Providing quality services can be said to prevent the victims of fraudulent products.

This paper proposes a new digital filter implementation which adopts an identical structure at both behavioral and logic level in top-down design. This methodology is based on the observation that multiplication is a form of convolution and carrying, and therefore multiplication is implemented with the same structure as that of a convolution in a recursive manner at the logic level. In order to demonstrate a recursive structure-based FIR digital filter, we select L-tap transposed and systolic FIR filters, and implement them to have a single structure. The proposed filter design becomes regular and modular because of the recursive adoption of a single structure for convolutions, and is very compact in that it needs only two 1-bit I/O ports in addition to significant improvement on hardware complexity without time penalty on the output sequence.

When PPG signal is used in mobile healthcare devices, the accuracy of the measured heartbeat decreases from the influence by the movement of the user. The reason is that the frequency band of the noise overlaps the frequency band of the PPG signal. In order to remove these same noises, the methods using frequency analysis method or application of acceleration sensor have been investigated and showed excellent performance. However, in applying these methods to low-cost healthcare devices, it is difficult to apply these methods because of much processing time and sensor's cost. In order to solve these problems, this study proposed the filter design method using an adaptive notch filter and the fuzzy inference system to extract more accurate heart rate in real time and evaluated its performance. As results, it showed better results than the other methods. Based on the results, when applying the proposed method to design the mobile healthcare device, it is possible to measure the heartbeat more accurately in real time.
In recent years, researches utilizing UAV for military purposes such as precision tracking and batting have been actively conducted. In order to track the preceding flight, there has been a previous research on estimating the attitude information of the flight such as roll, pitch, and yaw using images taken from the rear UAV. In this study, we propose a method to estimate the attitude information more precisely by applying the Kalman filter to the existing image processing technique. By applying the Kalman filter to the estimated attitude data using image processing, we could reduce the estimation error of the attitude angle significantly. Through the simulation experiments, it was confirmed that the estimation using the Kalman filter can estimate the posture information of the aircraft more accurately.

The damage detection method using the extended Kalman filter(EKF) technique has been continuously used since EKF can estimation the responses of the damaged building structure and the stiffness of the structure. However, in the use of EKF, the requirement of setting the initial paramters P, Q, and R has caused the divergence and instability of the state vector, and various researches have been conducted to determine theses parameters. In this paper, adaptive extended Kalman filter(AEKF) method is proposed to solve the problem of setting the values of P, Q, and R, which are important parameters determining the convergence performance of the EKF state vector. By using the AEKF method proposed in this study, the P, Q, and R parameters are updated every k steps. The proposed algorithm is applied for the estimation of stiffness and the damage detection of 3-DOF problem. Based of the verification, it can be found that the selection process for the values of P, Q, and R can improve the convergence performance of EKF.

We consider the joint optimization problem of transmit power level, MMSE receiver filter and access point(AP) selection for multi access points environment. In the previous work, transmit power and MMSE receiver filter were jointly optimized[1] and transmit power and best access point were optimized jointly[2]. For each case, the algorithm was proposed and its convergence which guarantees the minimum total transmit power was proved. In this paper, we further improve the algorithm by jointly optimizing three parameters. More specifically, 1) we propose the algorithm by considering transmit power, MMSE receiver filter and access point selection jointly. 2) we prove that the proposed algorithm guarantees convergence with minimum transmit power consumption. In the simulation results, it is shown that proposed algorithm outperforms two other algorithms, i.e., 1) algorithm with transmit power and MMSE receiver filter, and 2) algorithm with transmit power and best access point selection.
