역전 유동층 내에서의 슬러리아이스 생성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on formation of slurry ice in reversing flow)

  • This study experimented to observe an influence of experimental conditions on production characteristics of slurry ice by putting ball into test section to disturb ice adhesion. And at this experiment it used ethylene glycol-water solution and the concentration is 20wt%. The experimental apparatus was constructed of ethylene glycol-water solution and slurry ice storage tank, brine tank. pumps for ethylene glycol-water solution and brine circulating, a mass flow-meter, data logger for fluid temperature measuring and a vertical circular tube with two copper tubes as test section. The experiments were carried out under various conditions, with mean velocity of fluid at the entry ranging from 0.07 to 0.13m/s and ball diameter is 10mm, 15mm. Also ball filling rate is 33%, 50%.

  • In this research. we have proposed a new technique to determine .the combination of design parameters for the process design of a hot forged product using artificial neural network(ANN) and statistical design of experiments(DOE). The investigated problem involves the adequate selection of the aspect ratio of billet, the ram velocity and the friction factor as design parameters. An optimal billet satisfying the forming limitation, die filling, load and energy as well as more uniform distribution of effective strain, is determined by applying the ability of artificial neural network and considering the analysis of mean and variation on the functional requirement. This methodology will be helpful in designing and controlling parameters on the shop floor which would yield the best design solution.

10℃ 환경에서 기류가 겨울철 패딩 의류의 한 벌 보온력에 미치는 영향 -인체 착용 및 서멀마네킹 측정 비교- (Effects of Air Velocity on the Thermal Insulation of Winter-padded Clothing Ensembles at 10℃ Air Temperature -Comparison of Human Wear Trials with a Thermal Manikin-)

  • This study was to investigate the thermal insulation of clothing ensembles, including padded jackets with two different filling types. Thermal insulation of the ensemble was measured using a thermal manikin in four conditions (10℃, 30% RH and 20℃, 50% RH with an air velocity of less than 0.15 m·s-1 and 1.5 m·s-1). Ten males participated at 10℃ and 30% RH with an air velocity of less than 0.15 m·s-1 and 1.5 m·s-1. The results showed that the polyester ensemble was warmer than a goose down ensemble in 0.15 m·s-1 conditions and the goose down ensemble had greater thermal insulation than the polyester ensemble at an air velocity of 1.5 m·s-1. Thermal insulation was reduced 5-7% when temperature decreased 10℃ and reduced 40-50% when air velocity reached 1.5 m·s-1 for both ensembles. Thermal insulation of the ensemble in human trials decreased more than a thermal manikin at 10℃, 30% RH with an air velocity of 1.5 m·s-1. Lower temperatures and human trials were effective in identifying the properties of the thermal insulation by filling types even though there were restrictions on the general application because of two types of a clothing ensemble.

얇은 표적체판에 천공하는 PELE 의 파괴 메커니즘 수치시뮬레이션 (Numerical Simulation of Failure Mechanism of PELE Perforating Thin Target Plates)

  • 횡방향 관통 효율 강화 탄체(PELE)는 기폭장치가 없는 새로운 개념의 발사체이다. PELE 는 배면이 닫혀있는 고밀도 피복과 저밀도 충전재로 구성되어있다. PELE 의 폭발 특성을 연구하기 위해 AUTODYN-3D code 를 이용하여 발사체와 표적체의 모델을 구축하였다. PELE 의 의해 알루미늄-2024 합금 표적체를 천공하는 과정을 시뮬레이션으로 구현하였으며 또한 다양한 내부 충전재에 의해 분산되는 표적체의 파편 특성도 연구하였다. PELE 파편의 유한요소해석은 AUTODYN-3D code 의 추계학적 파괴기준을 사용하여 구현되었다. 내부 충전재의 팽창으로 인해 파편은 속도를 얻으며 횡방향으로 분산된다. 따라서 손상영역의 범위가 증강한다. 관통 및 횡방향 분산 과정에서 생성되는 파편은 내부 충전재의 충격 압력에 따라 그 양과 형태가 다른 것으로 나타났다.

Radial Velocity and Photometric Study of the Long Period Interaction Binary AQ Cas

  • AQ Cassiopeiae (BD+61`0242, uv=10, Sp=B3+Bg) is a totally eclipsing binary system with the obital period of about 12 days. 71 was observed for 15 nights in 1985 with the1.8-m telescope at the DAO, employing a Reticon and a three-stage image tube attached to the spectrograph. And also, photometric observations of AQ Cas had been made inUBv for six years from 1982 to 1988 at Yonsei University Observatory(YUO). This work includes UBV observations obtained at YUO as a part of The Ten-Year Observing Program(1982-1992). Double lined radial, velocity curves and Ufv light curves of AQC as are constructed. The light curves and radial velocity curves show a strong evidence of circumstellar matter or mass stream. It is clear at the phases of just outside externaleclipse contacts, particularly at phase 0.8-0.9, shown in Figures 1 and 2. A solution by combining the radial velocity and photometric curves of the binary was obtained with the Wilson-Devinney Code. We found that the system is semi-detached with the coolcomponent filling its Roche lobe. The absolute dimensions of AQ Cas are calculated. The result shows that this system consists of two massive and subgiant stars.

CENSUS AND ANALYSIS OF GALACTIC MOLECULAR CLOUDS

  • In this project, all available databases of molecular and gas-dust clouds in the Galaxy were cross-identified by taking into account available properties, including position, angular dimensions, velocity, density, temperature and mass. An initial list of about 7000 entries was condensed into a cross-identified all-sky catalogue containing molecular and gas-dust clouds. Some relationships were studied between the main physical features of clouds. Finally, we prepared a complex observing program and address future work for filling in the gaps.

가솔린 휘발가스의 바이오필터 처리에 관한 동력학적 연구 (Kinetics of the Biofilter Treating Gasoline Vapor)

  • 바이오필터를 적절하게 설계하고 처리효율을 향상시키기 위해서는 바이오필터에서의 오염물질에 관한 동력학적 연구가 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 가솔린 휘발가스의 바이오필터 처리시 분해특성을 동력학적으로 평가하고자 수행되었다. 바이오필터 충전물질로는 퇴비를 사용하였으며, TPH 가스유입농도는 약 $300mg/m^3$에서 $7,000mg/m^3$로 하였다. 가스유입속도는 6m/hr와 15m/hr로 하였다. 6m/hr의 속도로 가스를 주입할 경우 $3,000mg/m^3$ 이하의 농도에서는 약 60%가 유입부분인 하층 25cm깊이에서 제거되었다. 가솔린 휘발가스의 제거특성은 1차 반응모델로 표현하기에 적합하였다. 농도와 가스유입속도별로 1차 반응속도상수(k)를 비교한 결과 전체적으로 6m/hr에서의 k값이 15m/hr일 때보다 높게 나타났다. $3,000mg/m^3$ 이상의 고농도에서는 6m/hr일 때의 k값(0.09/min)이 15m/hr일 때보다 2배 이상 높았다. 가스유입속도와 유입농도 그리고 1차반응속도상수 등을 검토한 결과 가솔린 휘발가스를 80% 이상제거하기 위해서는 100cm 충전높이에서 농도를 약 $2,000mg/m^3$ 이하로 주입하되 6m/hr의 가스유입속도를 유지시켜 주는 것이 필요하였다. 바이오필터 운전조건 중 가스속도를 통제하는 것이 가스농도를 통제하는 것보다 더 중요하다.

Thixoforging을 이용한 중공형 금속복합재료 부품의 성형공정에 있어서 결함예측 (Defect Prediction in Part Fabrication Process of Metal Matrix Composites by Thixoforging Process)

  • In the manufacturing process of metal matrix composites parts, thixoforging is one of the most effective forming processes. The major purpose of the current study is to provide the proper conditions such as the die shape, the forging velocity, the forging time, the forging pressure and reinforcement injection velocity and pressure on various defects in thixoforged cylinder liner, filling tests were performed by MAGMA S/W. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the calculated conditions which is given by computer aided engineering, A357, A380 and SiC$_{p}$/A380 cylind~5$mu extrm{m}$r liner were fabricated under the calculated conditions. SiC$_{p}$/A380 composite billets were fabricated by both the mechanical stirring and electrical magnetic stirring process. Incase fo SiC$_{p}$/A380 composite cylinder liner, reinforcement distribution and effect of reinforcement(SiC$_{p}$) content(10~20 vol. %)and size(5.5~14${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) on the mechanical properties were investigatedstigated.

  • 본 연구에서는 두께방향에 따른 유동을 해석하는데 "fountain effect" 및 열 전달 현상을 동시에 고려하면서 진전하는 자유표면의 형상을 정확히 구하기 위한 유한 요소법을 이용한 수치해석법을 제안하고 그 방법을 적용하여 금형벽의 온도를 변화시 켜가면서 구체적인 유동특성을 해석하였다.특성을 해석하였다.

  • To obtain high quality component with thixoforming process, it is important that the homegeneous distribution of solid particles without liquid segregation. In closed-die semi-solid forging process, liquid segregation is strongly affected by injection velocity than any other process variables because the material has to travel relatively long distance to fill the cavity through a narrow gate before solidification begins. The optimal injection velocity and die temperature were investigated to fabricate near-net-shape compressor component called Al frame.
