확률론적 방법을 적용한 도로교량의 비파괴 압축강도식 평가 (Comparison Study on Nondestructive Strength Equation Based on Probability for Bridges)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to estimate nondestructive strength equation based on probability for bridges using field test data. METHODS : In this study, a series of the field inspection and the test have been performed on 297 existing bridges, in order to evaluate the bridges, based on the test results of the in-depth inspection, and the estimated strengths by means of the nondestructive strength equations are analyzed and compared with results of the core specimen strengths. RESULTS : According to results of analyses, In case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 18MPa, 21MPa, similar reliability of RILEM equation were 0.89~0.90, but in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 35MPa, 40MPa were 0.4~0.56. According to standard design compressive strength of concrete is 40MPa, similar reliability of ultrasonic pulse velocity method equation were 0.56. CONCLUSIONS :RILEM equation had high similar reliability than other equation in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 18MPa, 21MPa, but had low similar reliability than other equation in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 35MPa, 40MPa. and ultrasonic pulse velocity method equation had low similar reliability than other equation in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 40MPa.

Poling 강도 변화에 따르는 PZT 세라믹스의 강도와 균열성장 의존성 (Dependence of Strength and Crack Growth of PZT Ceramics on Poling Strength)

  • The dependence of strength, crack growth, fracture mode and degree of domain rearrangement of PZT ceramics on poling strength were studied. The PZT [(Pb0.94Sr0.06)(Zr0.46Ti0.54)O3+Nb(trace)] specimens were poled at 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 kv/mm, and the strength of the specimens was measured by 3 point flexure system. The bending strength of the specimen decreased in different modes according to the bending directions; xz, zx and yz plane direction with x axis of the poling direction in Cartesian coordinate system. The strength differences between the directions increased as the poling strength increased. The fracture mode transferred to intergranular fracture mode from transgranular one as the poling strength increased. The mechanical breakdown occurred when the poling strength higher than 3 kV/mm was applied to the specimen. It was observed that the crack length increased in the normal direction to the poling direction, however, decreased in the parallel direction to the poling direction when the poled PZT specimen was indented by the Vickers indenter. However, the crack produced by indentation continuously was continuously increased little by little after indentation on the specimen. The domain rearrangement occurred as the poling strength increased and the domains were rearranged more effectively when the electric field was continuously increased little by little.

벼알의 인장강도 및 탈립성의 등숙중 변화와 품종간 차이 및 포장손실과의 관계 (Differences among Major Rice Cultivars in Tensile Strength and Shattering of Grains during Ripening and Field Loss of Grains)

  • 주요 수도품종들의 탈립성 정도와 곡립의 인장강도와 탈립성 및 수확작업시 포장손실과의 관계를 밝히므로서 탈립성에 관한 품종개량 및 포장손실의 최소화에 도움을 주고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 11개 품종을 공시 공시했으며 출수 후 35일부터 63일까지의 기간에 1주일 간격으로 품종 및 수확기 별로 임의 추출한 10이삭 200립씩에 대한 곡립의 인장강도, 탈립정도 및 수분함량을 측정했으며, 탈립정도는 이삭을 수확직후 1.5m 지상에서 콘크리트바닥에 낙하시켰을 때 탈립되는 곡립수의 전곡립수에 대한 비율이었다. 또한 포장손실과 곡립의 인장강도와의 관계는 농가포장에서 2품종을 선정하여 출수 후 40일부터 1주일 간격으로 3-4회 binder harvester를 실제 사용하여 포장에 탈립된 량을 측정하고 이를 같은 재료에 대해 측정한 곡립의 인장강도와 관계를 지었으며 3반복하였다. 그 주요결과는 다음과 같이 요약된다. 1. 공시품종들의 평균 곡립인장강도는 90g(밀양 2003) 정도부터 250g(진흥) 정도까지의 범위에서 품종 및 수확기에 따라 차이가 있었으며, 그 표준편차는 30-60g 정도이었는데 곡립의 평균 인장강도가 큰 품종일수록 편차가 컸다. 2. 낙하검정에 의한 곡립의 탈립정도는 밀양2003 20-30%, 수원 29004 3-16%, 한강찰 13-15%, 이리 348호 1-21%, 금강 및 태백 1% 정도로서 수확기에 따라 다소간 차이를 보였다. 3. 낙하검정에서 탈립하기 시작하는 평균 인장강도는 180g이었고, 공시이삭들의 곡립들 중 인장강도가 98g 이상인 것들은 탈립하지 않았으며 인장강도가 10g 저하하면 탈립율은 3-5% 증가했다. 4. 낙동벼와 이리 348호는 수확기가 늦어지면 곡립의 인장강도가 작아지었지만 그밖의 품종들에서는 반대로 인장강도가 다소간 커지거나 별로 변화하지 않았으며, 탈립율도 이리 348호를 제외하면 수확기의 영향을 크게 받지 않았고, 곡립의 인장강도는 수분함량과 대체로 역상관관계를 보였다. 5. 곡립의 평균 인장강도와 binder 수확시의 포장손실량과는 부의 상관이 있었으며, binder 수확시 포장손실이 일어나지 않게 되는 한계 평균인장강도는 174g이었으며 그 이하에서 평균인장강도가 10g 저하되면 포장손실은 ha당 40kg 정도 증가하였다. 6. 현재 품종들의 탈립성 분류기준으로 사용되고 있는 평균인장강도는 그 분산이 변이가 크고, 환경의 영향을 많이 받으며 이삭의 곡립들 중 수확작업시 실제로 탈립이 잘 되는 곡립은 인장강도가 98g이하이었으므로 품종의 탈립성 판정 및 포장손실의 추정을 위해서는 표본중 인장강도가 100g 이하인 곡립들의 전곡립수에 대한 비율을 기준으로 할 것을 제의한다.

Effect of in-Plane Magnetic Field on Rashba Spin-Orbit Interaction

  • The spin-orbit interaction has received great attention in the field of spintronics, because of its property and applicability. For instance, the spin-orbit interaction induces spin precession which is the key element of spin transistor proposed by Datta and Das, since frequency of precession can be controlled by electric field. The spin-orbit interaction is classified according to its origin, Dresselhaus and Rashba spin-orbit interaction. In particular, the Rashba spin-orbit interaction is induced by inversion asymmetry of quantum well structure and the slope of conduction band represents the strength of Rashba spin-orbit interaction. The strength of spin-orbit interaction is experimentally obtained from the Shubnikov de Hass (SdH) oscillation. The SdH oscillation is resistance change of channel for perpendicular magnetic field as a result of Zeeman spin splitting of Landau level, quantization of cyclotron motion by applied magnetic field. The frequency of oscillation is different for spin up and down due to the Rashba spin-orbit interaction. Consequently, the SdH oscillation shows the beat patterns. In many research studies, the spin-orbit interaction was treated as a tool for electrical manipulation of spin. On the other hands, it can be considered that the Rashba field, effective magnetic field induced by Rashba effect, may interact with external magnetic field. In order to investigate this issue, we utilized InAs quantum well layer, sandwiched by InGaAs/InAlAs as cladding layer. Then, the SdH oscillation was observed with tilted magnetic field in y-z plane. The y-component (longitudinal term) of applied magnetic field will interact with the Rashba field and the z-component (perpendicular term) will induce the Zeeman effect. As a result, the strength of spin-orbit interaction was increased (decreased), when applied magnetic field is parallel (anti-parallel) to the Rashba field. We found a possibility to control the spin precession with magnetic field.

  • Modern society is experiencing a high population density and a centralization of facilities. The clear trends in the construction field are aggrandizement, elevation and specialization of building structures. Such trends require improvements of skills in raising material performances, structuring, planning, designing, and increasing construction capacities. In order to procure high performance materials and construction techniques, a top-quality concrete should be used since it takes up a large part of the material. In recent years, active researches have been done on the ultra high strength concrete. Therefore, this experimental study is strength management to fixed quantity in the field of ultra-strong concrete.

  • According to the domestic specification, the curing of the specimen for strength management used to determine the time of the mold deformity of the structure concrete in early spring and early autumn is cured in the field structure condition. However, when the seal curing is performed in the field, the temperature of the specimen is very low compared to the temperature of the actual structure, so the strength of the structure concrete predicted based on the strength of the specimen is much undervalued than the actual one, which causes the mold to be deformed. Therefore, this study analyzed the temperature history and compressive strength characteristics of the specimen for strength management through other sealing curing at 5℃ and concrete of the actual structure, and presented the most suitable curing method.

  • Before the field applications, several basic laboratory test were the characteristics of workability and strength of the concrete containing CSA expansive additive. As a result, high strength concrete using CSA expansive additive show similar workability and compressive to that of plain concrete, the optimum replacement ratio of them to plain concrete were obtained for CSA expansive additive 10%. On the other hand, it can be concluded that the use of CSA component is effective to prevent shrinkage crack reducing concrete using superplasticizer and to achive volume stability of concrete structure.

  • The aim of this study is to develop economical High-Strength and High-Quality Concrete, and to assure quality control of Concrete in the field. For this purpose, Five types of Mixing Methods are examined and the relationship between slump loss and slump recovery by transport is studied. As a result, workability and strength are dependent on the Mixing Method, although the Mixing proportions are same, Also, adding admixture in the field is proposed as an alternative to consider the relationship between slump loss and slump recovery.

현장실험과 복합열화시험을 통한 고강도 숏크리트의 장기내구성 검토 (An Investigation on the Long Term Durability of High-strength Shotcrete Using Field and Combined Deterioration Test)

  • 국내 숏크리트 관련 기술들은 지금까지 많은 발전을 이루어 왔으나 재료, 시공 및 관련 품질규격 등에서 여전히 문제들을 가지고 있다. 국외의 경우 $39.2{\sim}58.8 MPa$에 이르는 고강도 숏크리트 시공이 가능하여 터널에서 2차 라이닝의 대체나 장기내구성의 확보가 충분히 가능한 반면, 국내의 경우 설계강도가 20.6MPa 내외로 낮은 편이며 장기내구성도 신뢰하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 숏크리트의 강도 증진을 위해 고품질 혼화재와 고성능 급결제를 적용한 현장실험을 실시하였고, 유럽통합규격(EFNARC)에 의거하여 품질평가를 수행하였다. 또한, 탄산화와 동결융해의 복합인자에 의한 열화시험을 수행하여 고강도 숏크리트의 장기내구성을 평가하였다. 실험결과 알칼리 프리계 급결제를 사용한 경우 초기강도 증진율이 $90{\sim}97%$로 가장 높게 나타났고, 실리카 흄을 혼입한 숏크리트의 압축강도는 $45.2{\sim}55.8MPa$, 휨강도는 $5.01{\sim}6.66MPa$로 혼입하지 않은 경우에 비해 각각 $37{\sim}79%$, $17{\sim}61%$의 강도 증진 효과가 나타났다. 또한, 실리카 흄 치환율이 $7.5{\sim}10%$일 때 강도증진 효과가 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 실리카 흄의 치환은 강섬유 혼입에 의한 숏크리트의 열화현상을 최소한으로 감소시켜, 숏크리트의 장기내구성을 확보하는데 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
