  • 한국항공우주연구원에서는 2006년 발사될 다목적실용위성 2호의 절대복사보정(absolute radiometric calibration)을 위한 준비로, Orbview-3 위성의 통과시간에 맞추어 2004년 11월 4일 과 2005년 3월 7일에 고흥과 대전에서 Field campaign을 수행하였다. 절대복사보정은 vicarious calibration 방법 중 targets의 반사 특성을 이용하는 방법으로, Field campaign을통해 수집된 지표자료와 대기자료들을 이용하여 top-of-radiance(TOA)를 추출하였다 대기 복사모델로는 MODTRAN 4.0이 사용되었으며, 추출된 TOA radiance와 Orbview-3 Panchromatic DN과 비교를 하여 절대복사보정을 위한 offset과 gain계수를 계산하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 Field Campaign으로부터 축적된 경험을 이용하여 다목적실용위성 2호의 절대복사보정에 적용할 방법을 제안하였다.

  • 6 Sigma is defined as the state of "defect free quality" with only 3.4 defective, goods out of 1 million. Samsung Display Device(SDD) was quick to embark on a new way of quality innovation. The goals of 6 Sigma campaign are established on the foundation of customer satisfaction such as quality, cost and service. Production field of SDD has a special 6 Sigma campaign, SQM(Standard Quality Management). Quality qualification system is introduced and implemented with strong reinforcement. C-S-I(Chart-Solve-Implement) model which was made by Dr. Bajaria(1991) is adopted for the project. All the workers of company will be encouraged to participate in the drive.

  • The KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) prototype TF (Toroidal Field) coil was tested in the superconducting coil test facility in KBSI (Korea basic Science Institute). The test was divided into several campaigns according to the objectives. The objectives of the first campaign were to cool the coil into operating temperature and to find any defect in the coil such as cold leaks. From the results of the first campaign, which was carried out during Jan. 2003, any defect in the TF prototype coil was not found. At the second campaign, the large-current charging experiment was one of the major issues, and was carried out during Aug. 2003 In this paper, the test preparation, and the test results of the second campaign were presented.

기부참여행동에 대한 현장실험 연구(Natural Field Experiment) : 구세군 자선냄비 모금을 활용한 분석 (A Natural Field Experiment on Citizens' Giving Behavior: Analysis on Red Kettle Campaign of Salvation Army)

  • 본 연구는 실제 기부 현장에서 타인의 기부행동 정보와 개인의 기부행동 간에 어떠한 관련성이 있는지를 탐색해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국구세군의 협조를 얻어 2년에 걸친 구세군 자선냄비 현장모금 실험을 실시하였으며, 타인의 기부행동에 대한 정보는 돈을 가득 채운 통, 돈을 채우지 않은 통, 안이 보이지 않는 통의 세 가지 수준으로 제공하였다. 분산분석 결과, 1차년도와 2차년도 실험 모두 통별 기부인원 및 1인당 기부금액에 있어 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 외생변수의 영향력을 고려한 회귀분석 결과에서도 통에 따른 기부인원 및 기부금액의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이같은 결과는 타인의 기부행동 정보가 개인의 기부행동에 영향을 주지 않음을 시사하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 새로운 연구방법을 적용하여 시민들의 실제적 기부행동에 대한 이해를 확장시키고 향후 후속 연구를 위한 발판을 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

Effects of Advertising Campaign on the Salesperson's Performance: Should a Multilevel Marketing Firm Advertise Its Brand to Customers?

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to explore how advertising for multilevel marketing brands affect the salesperson's activity including customer-salesperson interactivity, work attitude, and perceived and actual performance after the campaign. Research Design, data, and methodology - This study collects experimental data, survey data, and actual sales data and applies statistical analyses such as factor analysis, t-tests, and a structural equation model. Results - The results show that advertising campaign can enhance a salesperson's selling activities and provide wide managerial implications to a multilevel marketing firm by filling the gaps for the field of advertising research. Conclusions - Managerial implications include: i) multilevel marketing firms should consider advertising campaigns as a means of changing customer responses because advertising plays a significant role in increasing familiarity with, and knowledge of, attitudes toward the brand, which also helps salespeople interact with customers; ii) multilevel marketing firms should consider brand advertising as a means to support the sales activities of salespeople including sales effectiveness, work attitudes, and perceived performance, and iii) multilevel marketing firms should consider brand advertising as a means to enhance a salesperson's pride and motivation for selling their brand, which will lead to improved sales performances.

준복잡지형 대기경계층 저층 풍속분포 특성분석 - 포항가속기 라이다 원격탐사 캠페인을 중심으로 (Analysis on Wind Profile Characteristics in a Sublayer of Atmospheric Boundary Layer over a Semi-Complex Terrain - LIDAR Remote Sensing Campaign at Pohang Accelerator Laboratory)

  • The mean wind speed and turbulence intensity profiles in the atmospheric boundary layer were extracted from a LIDAR remote sensing campaign in order to apply for CFD validation. After considering the semi-steady state field data requirements to be used for CFD validation, a neutral atmosphere campaign period, in which the main wind direction and the power-law exponent of the wind profile were constantly maintained, was chosen. The campaign site at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, surrounded by 40~50m high hills, with an apartment district spread beyond the hills, is to be classified as a semi-complex terrain. Nevertheless, wind speed profiles measured up to 100m above the ground fitted well into a theoretical-experimental logarithmic-law equation. The LIDAR remote-sensing data of the sub-layer of the atmospheric boundary layer has been proven to be superior to the data obtained by conventional extrapolation of the wind profile with 2 or 3 anemometer measurements.

현장측정에 기초한 대기오염물질의 측정방식에 대한 비교연구-주요 기준성 오염물질을 중심으로 (Evaluation of Analytical Techniques for Some Gaseous Criteria Pollutants through a Field Measurement Campaign in Seoul, Korea)

  • To properly assess air pollution levels, application of quality assurance and quality control(QA/QC) is believed to be an essential step. In order to cope with such scientific principle, a field study was designed with an aim of comparing: 1) the methods of calibration for airborne pollutants and 2) the protocols developed for their measurements. Measurements were made at Han Yang University, Seoul during 29 May through 1 June 1998 under the management of the Division of Measurements and Analysis(DMA) of Korean Society for Atmospheric Environment(KOSAE). In this work, we report our results of intercomparative measurements on several gaseous criteria pollutants that were investigated mainly by the two institutes-Seoul National University(SNU) and the Korean Research Institute for Standards and Science(KRISS). Although measurements of major gaseous pollutants had been made routinely by many scientific institutes and organizations in Korea, most scientists involved in those studieswere obliged to do their experiments on the basis of their own procedural steps spaning from the preparation of gaseous standards to the methodological selections for the calibration. Hence, this campaign offered a unique opportunity to examine many important aspects on the measurements of these important gaseous pollutants. In the course of our study, we investigated the compatibility of data sets obtained by the two institutes in concert with reference data sets collected concurrently from a government-managed monitoring station. On the basis of our study, we conclude that different data sets made by different participants during this campaign agree well within the reasonable range of uncertainties.low, which indicated that during this period the potential acidity of precipitation was high but the neutralizing capacity was low. For Spring, pAi was very low but pH was slightly high. This was likely due to the large amount of $CaCO_3$ in the soil particles transported over a long range from the Chinese continent that were incorporated into the precipitation, and then neutralized the acidifying species with its high concentraton.

  • The radiometric correction is prerequisite to derive both land and ocean surface properties from optical remote sensing data. Radiometric calibration of remotely sensed data has traditionally been accomplished by means of vicarious ground calibration techniques. The purpose of this study is to calibrate the radiometric characteristic of Airborne Multispectral Scanner (AMS) by field campaign. In order to calibrate the AMS data, four different spectral tarps which are 3.5%, 23%, 35%, and 53% were validated by GER-3700 that is the surface reflectance measurement equipment and were utilized. After validation of the spectral tarps, each reflectance from the spectral tarps was compared with Digital Number (DN) value of AMS. There was very high correlation between tarp reflectance and DN value of AMS so that radiometric calibration of AMS data has been accomplished by those results. The calibrated AMS data were validated with in-situ measured reflectance data from artificial and natural target. Also QuickBird image data were used for verifying the results of AMS radiometric calibration. This presentation discusses the results of the above tests.

신호기위치와 정지선 준수율과의 관계 연구 (The Study on the Correlation between Traffic Signal Location and Stop Line Observance)

  • 경찰은 2005년 정지선 준수율 향상을 위하여 '정지선 지키기 생활화 운동'과 함께 정지선위반 단속을 수행하였다. 단속기간 동안 정지선 준수율이 향상되었으나, 단속기간 이후 정지선 준수율은 단속 이전 수준으로 회귀되어 캠페인 및 단속을 통한 정지선 준수율 향상 노력의 장기적인 실효성 문제가 지적되었다. 교통안전시설물(신호기) 설치위치 조정 등의 교통환경 개선을 통해 장기적이며 근본적인 정지선 준수율 향상 필요성이 공론화 되고 있으나 해당분야의 기초 연구가 부재하다. 본 연구는 신호기 설치위치에 따른 차량의 정지선 준수율 변화 여부를 분석 및 제시한다. 현장자료를 토대로 수행한 통계분석 결과 신호기 위치에 따라 정지선 준수율이 변화하며, 정지선으로부터 신호기까지의 거리가 $10{\sim}20m$일 경우 정지선 준수율이 높아지는 것으로 분석되었다. '교통신호기설치관리매뉴얼'에서 허용하는 신호기 설치위치 범위에 포함되는 정지선 하류 $10{\sim}20m$의 위치를 신호기 적정 설치위치로 제안한다.
