섬유를 혼입한 프리플레이스 모르타르의 내충격 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Impact Resistance Performance of Fiber Reinforced Preplace Grout Mortar)

  • In this study, it evaluate mecahnical performance and impact resistance performance of fiber reinforced concrete, fiber reinforced mortar and preplace grout mortar. steel fiber, nylon fiber and polypropylene fiber are reinforced 1vol.% 2vol.% 10vol.% by each fiber type. It evaluate impact resistance performance to use projectile 10mm of 400m/s velocity. As a result, mechnical performance and impact resistance performance of fiber reinforced preplace grout mortar are improved a lot by 10% fiber reinforced ratio.

섬유보강 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 초기수축균열 및 내구특성 (Plastic Shrinkage and Durability Characteristics of Fiber Reinforced Polymer-Modified Mortars)

  • The intention of this study is to reduce the plastic shrinkage of the polymer modified cement mortar using the PVA fiber. The durability of PVA fiber reinforced polymer cement mortar was also evaluated. The test results of PVA fiber reinforced polymer modified cement mortar were compared with plain polymer modified cement mortar(non-fiber). In conclusion, PVA fiber reinforced polymer modified cement mortar showed an ability to reduce the total crack area and maximum crack width significantly. Also. fiber reinforced polymer modified cement mortar show improved durability performance.

  • Most of existing repair materials have some shortcomings such as brittle fracture, imperfect interface bonding and marked difference in modulus of elasticity compared with the structures. These problems make their repair inefficient. Some researches on using a fiber-reinforced mortar as an alternative to enhance the efficiency have been carried out recently. This paper presents the results of an experimental study on the performance of sprayed PVA fiber-reinforced mortar as a repair material. We evaluated its mechanical properties, durability and strengthening effect. This study shows that the sprayed PVA fiber-reinforced mortar is remarkably effective as a repair material.

  • This study investigated the evolution of electro-mechanical impedance (EMI) of piezoelectricity (PZT) sensor embedded in hydrating steel fiber reinforced mortar to determine the setting times of that. Penetration resistance test was also conducted in order to justify the valid of EMI sensing technique. As a result, the setting times of steel fiber reinforced mortar can be effectively monitored through the EMI sensing technique using PZT sensor.

  • It was well recognized that the damages associated mainly with the aging of civil infrastructures were one of very serious problems for assurance of safety and reliability. Recently carbon fiber sheet(CFS) has been widely used for reinforcement and rehabilitation of damaged concrete beam. However, the fundamental mechanism of load transfer and its load-resistant for carbon fiber sheet reinforced concrete are not fully understood. In this study, three point bending test has been carried out to understand the damage progress and the micro-failure mechanism of CFS reinforced mortars. For this purpose, four different types of specimens are used, that is, mortar, steel bar reinforced mortar, CFS reinforced mortar, and steel bar and CFS reinforced morter. Acoustic Emission(AE) technique was used to evaluate the characteristics of damage progress and the failure mechanism of specimens. in addition, two-dimensional AE source location was also performed to monitor crack initiation and propagation processes for these specimens.

친환경 UM수지를 사용한 섬유보강 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 내구성 및 강도 특성 (The Properties of Durability and Strength of Fiber-Reinforced Polymer-Modified Mortars Using Eco-Friendly UM Resin)

  • 이 연구에서는 환경을 고려한 고성능 보수 보강재료 개발을 위하여 섬유를 보강한 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 특성을 연구하였다. 친환경 수지인 UM 수지를 일반 시멘트 모르타르와 일정 비율로 혼합하였다. 강도 증진의 영향을 확인하기 위해서 PVA 섬유, 강섬유 그리고 PVA섬유와 강섬유를 일정한 비율로 혼합한 하이브리드 섬유를 일정한 비율로 첨가하였다. 강도특성을 파악하기 위하여 섬유를 보강한 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르에 대하여 압축강도, 쪼갬 인장강도, 휨강도 실험을 수행하였다. 내구성을 파악하기 위하여 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르에 대하여 흡수율 실험, 내약품성 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 UM 수지 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르는 내구성능이 개선되었고, 이러한 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르에 섬유를 보강하면 콘크리트 및 모르타르의 취약점인 인장강도와 휨강도가 증가하였다. 향후 외부 노출된 콘크리트 구조물의 내구성 향상을 위한 보수보강재료로 사용성을 확인하였다.

Effect of surface treatment on mechanical and micro-structural properties of basalt fiber reinforced mortars

  • The use of basalt fibers in various types of fiber-reinforced mortars has been increasing. One of the factors that expands the use of basalt fibers is that it is a natural fiber and therefore the production costs are lower than fibers such as PVA fiber. Basalt fibers have some drawbacks such as reducing the workability of mortars in which basalt fibers are added due to their structure, and negatively affecting the mechanical properties when used above a certain proportional amount depending on the type of mixture. For this purpose, in this study, as a different application, the surface of basalt fibers with different lengths (6 and 12 mm) was treated with Triton X-100 surfactant, and these disadvantages were tried to be reduced. In the study, a two-step method was followed. In the first one, the effectiveness of adding untreated and treated basalt fiber at 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75 and 2% by weight to the mortar mixtures was determined by conducting flow spread and flow rate as fresh mortar characteristics. In the second one, microstructural characterization and mechanical tests were performed as hardened mortar properties. The results showed that the flow characteristics of basalt fiber reinforced mortars treated with surfactant improved compared to untreated basalt fiber reinforced mortars. In terms of mechanical properties, the addition of 2% treated basalt fiber by weight to the mixtures allowed to obtain %18, %12, and%48 higher values of compressive, flexural, and tensile strength values, respectively, compared to the same amount of untreated basalt fiber mixtures.

마이크로 섬유보강 모르타르의 휨 인성과 균열 특성의 상관관계 (Correlation Between Flexural Toughness and Cracking Characteristics of Micro-fiber Reinforced Mortar According to Fiber Contents)

  • 인장에 취약한 단점을 가지고 있는 시멘트계 복합재료인 모르타르와 콘크리트의 인장성능을 보강하기 위한 다양한 방법이 사용되고 있으며, 주요한 한가지 방법으로 인장에 강한 섬유를 혼입하는 섬유보강 콘크리트가 꾸준히 연구사용되어 왔다. 최근에는 재료의 균질성(homogeneous)을 높이고 보강재로 사용되는 섬유의 성능을 최대한 이끌어내기 위하여 굵은 골재를 제거하고 마이크로 섬유를 사용하는 마이크로 섬유보강 모르타르에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 마이크로 섬유보강 모르타르는 배합조건에 따라서 다중균열이 발생하기 때문에 성능평가의 지표로써 휨인성 만을 사용하기에는 부족함이 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 마이크로 섬유보강 모르타르의 휨인성과 균열 특성을 고찰하여, 균열특성을 나타낼 수 있는 측정치에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 실험에는 PVA섬유와 강섬유가 사용되었으며, 휨실험을 통하여 섬유의 종류 및 혼입량에 따른 휨인성과 균열관련 측정치의 상관관계를 규명하였다. 그 결과 마이크로 섬유보강 모르타르의 특성을 대표할 수 있는 측정치로는 휨인성과 섬유혼입량, 그리고 균열개수 등이 적절한 것으로 나타났다.

  • This study was performed to evaluate the internal and external factors affecting external strength of the 3-layer polymer composite pipes made of polymer mortar and fiber-glass reinforced plastic. Twenty four sandwich type 3-layer polymer composite pipes were made of polymer mortar and fiber-glass reinforced plastic by centrifugal method. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects the of polymer mortar thickness for and core fiber-glass contents per unit area on external strength of 3-layer polymer composite pipes. For the more economical and practical design of 3-layer polymer composite pipe, further study should be done for the various polymer mortar, fiber-glass and different ratio of the inside/outside FRP thickness.
