  • In the use of glass fiber reinforced plastics(GFRP), cutting is often necessary. But the most of past studies have been interested in the effect of fiber orientation on tool wear. In this study, the effects of fiber contents on tool wear were investigated experimentally. By proper selection of cutting tool, the variables are cutting speed and fiber contents of 10, 20, 30wt% with fixed feed rate and depth of cut.

유리섬유/폴리프로필렌 복합재에서 섬유 함유비가 파괴특성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (A Study of Fiber Content Effect on the Fracture Behavior of Glass/Polypropylene Composites)

  • This study investigates the effect of fiber content on the fracture behavior of thermoplastic composites (glass fiber/polypropylene). The fiber contents used were 20%, 30%, and 40% by weight. Fracture tests were performed using compact tension (CT) specimens made of composite sheets of three fiber contents (20%, 30%, 40%). The results showed that compliance, fracture load, and fracture toughness were affected by the fiber content. The compliance decreased with fiber content while the fracture load increased as the fiber content increased. The fracture toughness also increased as fiber content increased. Specifically, the fracture toughness increased 14% as the fiber content increased from 20% to 40%.

강섬유보강 초속경시멘트 콘크리트의 휨인성 및 피로거동 (Flexural Toughness and Fatigue Behavior of Steel Fiber Reinforced Rapid-set Cement Concrete)

  • This study is conducted on the flexural toughness and flexural fatigue test to fine the mechanical properties of steel fiber reinforced rapid-set cement concrete. Experimental investigation is examined according to fiber contents(0, 0.4, 0.7, 1.0, 1.5%), fiber aspect ratio(58, 60, 83), fiber type (hooked, crimped fiber), and cement type (normal portland & rapid-set cement). The principal results obtained through this study are as follows; toughness and fatigue resistance tend to considerably increase with fiber contents, fiber aspect ration. And hooked fiber is improved better than crimped fiber. Concrete using rapid set cement is increased strength properties compared with concrete using normal portland cement, but relative strength properties behavior and fatigue resistance show a tendency to decrease a little.

  • 본 연구는 섬유보강 시멘트 모르타르에서 무수말레인산이 그라프트된 폴리프로필렌(maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene, mPP) 분말의 첨가가 무극성 마크로 합성섬유(마크로 합성섬유)의 부착특성에 미치는 효과를 평가하였다. 다양한 mPP의 첨가율(시멘트 중량의 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%)에 따른 시멘트 모르타르와 마크로 합성섬유의 부착거동을 평가하기 위하여 Dog-bone 부착시험을 수행하였다. 시멘트 모르타르내에서 마크로 합성섬유의 부착 특성(일반거동, 인발하중 및 계면인성)은 mPP의 사용량 증가할수록 증가하였다. 인발시험 후 마크로 합성섬유 표면의 미세구조 분석은 mPP의 첨가율에 따른 마찰 저항력을 평가하기 위하여 관찰하였다. mPP의 첨가율이 증가할수록 마크로 합성섬유 표면에 긁힘 현상이 증가하였다.

강섬유콘크리트의 직접인장 거동 특성 (Direct Tensile Behavior of Steel.Fiber Reinforced Concrete)

  • The aims of this study was to determine the mechanical properties of steel-fiber reinforced concrete under direct tensile loading, and also to insestigate the mechanism fiber reinforcement in order to improve the possible applications of steel-fiber reinforced concrete. In this study the major variables of experimental investigation were fiber conntents, and the lengths and diameters of fibers. The major results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. The strength, elastic modulus and energy absorption capability of steel-fiber reinforced concrete under direct tensile loading were improved as increasing of fiber contents. 2. The direct tensile strength of steel-fiber reinforced concrete was not influenced by the lengths of fiber, but was decreased as increasing of fiber diameters. 3. The direct tensile strength of steel-fiber reinforced concrete was not influenced by the fiber aspect-ratio, but this was because the fiber contents were below the critical value of fiber content. 4. The correlation of direct tensile strength and combined parameter, Vf l/d, was not good. 5. Mutiple cracking and post-crack resistance were investigated at stress-strain curves in direct tensile test. 6. The effect of fiber reinforcement can be influenced by fiber orientation and the bond strength between fiber and matrix. 7. The improvement of mechanical properties of steel-fiber reinforced concrete under direct tensile loading can be theoretically explained by the concept of composite materials.

  • 고강도콘크리트의 내화성능 증진에 효과적인 것으로 알려진 섬유(NY, PP)는 섬유의 길이조합과 혼입율에 따라 유동성에 차이가 있다. 본 논문에서는 섬유의 길이조합과 혼입율이 고강도콘크리트의 유동성과 레올로지 특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 몰탈시험체를 대상으로 미니 슬럼프 플로우(Mini slump-flow), 간이 V-lot 및 회전점도계에 의한 점도측정을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 섬유의 길이 조합에 따른 유동특성은 큰 차이가 없으나 섬유혼입률이 증가할수록 점도는 큰 것으로 나타났다.

한국산 메밀의 산지 및 종류에 따른 식이섬유와 루틴의 함량비교 (Content Comparison on Dietary Fiber and Rutin of Korean Buckwheat according to Growing District and Classification)

  • In this study, total dietary fiber contents, acid detergent fiber contents lignin, water binding capacity (WBC), iron binding capacity of ADF and rutin contents from Korean buckwheats were determined. Total dietary fiber (TDF) content was 3.14% in kyungbuk rice buckwheat, 5.65% in kangwon hull buckwheat and 3.35% in kangwon rice buckwheat. Acid detergent fiber (ADF) content was 2.47, 4.46 and 2.94%, respectively and lignin content was 1.14, 1.60 and 1.08% respectively. The water binding capacity of these three sample dietary fiber showed that TDF were in the range of 2.87~3.88 g %H_2O$/g DF and ADF were in the range of 4.62~5.26 g %H_2O$/g DF. The iron binding capacity of ADF at pH 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 were 79.11, 78.01, 46.16% in kyungbuk rice buckwheat, 70.63, 63.83, 53.60% in kangwon hull buckwheat and 77.67, 76.33, 50.25% in kangwon rice buckwheat. The rutin contents of these samples and their hulls were 13.54~16.41 mg/100 g groats and 12.13~14.24 mg/100 g in hulls. The rutin content of kyungbuk rice buckwheat was the highest.

  • The results of an experimental study on the manufacture and the mechanical properties of fiber reinforced calcium silicates-cement composites utilizing by products (fly ash or cement sludge) for construction materials are presented in this paper. As the test results show, compressive, tensile, and flexural strength, fracture toughness of fiber reinforced calcium silicates-cement composites were improved by increasing the fly ash and fiber contents, but were decreased by increasing cement sludge contents. Somehat, especially increasing fiber contents the fracture toughness of the composites were remarkably increased. Also, the mechanical properties of the composites reinforcing alkali-resistance GF were higher than those of the composites reinforcing Samoa Pulp.

한국인 상용 채소류의 식이섬유 조성에 관한 연구 (Studies on Composition of Dietary Fiber in Vegetables)

  • 식이섬유가 인체 내에서 나타내는 중요한 생리 기능은 각 구성 성분들의 함량과 특성에 의해 영향을 받으므로, 본 연구에서는 채소를 대상으로 식이섬유 각 성분들의 함량을 분별 측정하고, 열처리 시 변화를 조사하였다. 이상의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 각종 채소의 총 펙틴 함량은 건조물 기준으로 0.89~2.75 g/100 g의 범위였으며, 대부분 1~2 g/100 g 수준이었다. 펙틴의 각 분획 별 함량의 경우, 열수 가용성 펙틴 함량은 0.33~0.98 g/100 g, 인산 가용성 펙틴 함량은 0.29~0.81 g/100 g의 범위였고, 염산 가용성 펙틴 함량은 0.30~1.40 g/100 g의 범위로 세 가지 펙틴 분획 중에서 채소 종류에 따른 변이가 가장 컸다. 이상의 세 가지 펙틴 분획의 비율은 각 채소에서 대략 비슷한 수준이었다. 각종 채소의 불용성 식이섬유 함량은 건물 기준으로 총 불용성 식이섬유인 Neutral detergent fiber(NDF)는 11.8~31.9%, Acid detergent fiber(ADF)는 10.9~25.4%, cellulose는 8.8~23.8%, hemicellulose는 0.6~10.6%, lignin는 1.0~5.2% 범위였으며, 특히 고추류에서 총 불용성 식이섬유 함량이 높았다. Cellulose는 총 불용성 식이섬유인 NDF의 63% 정도를 차지하여 본 실험에 사용된 채소들의 경우, 불용성 식이섬유의 대부분이 cellulose로 구성되어 있었다. 가열 방법에 따른 펙틴 함량의 변화에 있어서, 총 펙틴 함량은 가열 처리 시 원료 시료에 비해 감소했으며, boiling시 가장 크게 감소하였다. 펙틴의 세 분획 중 열수 가용성 펙틴(HWSP) 함량은 증가했고, 비수용성 펙틴인 인산 가용성 펙틴(HXSP)과 염산 가용성 펙틴(HCLSP) 함량은 감소했다. 가열 처리에 의한 NDF, ADF, cellulose 함량의 변화는 원래 시료보다 증가했으며, 이들 성분들의 변화는 cellulose의 함량 변화에 기인했다. 그러나 hemicellulose와 lignin 함량은 일정한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 총 식이섬유 함량은 신선물 기준으로 1.20~7.11% 범위였으며, 마늘, 우엉, 고추잎 등에서 높았다. 총 식이섬유 함량의 대부분이 불용성 식이섬유로 구성되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 총 식이섬유/조섬유 비율은 1.32~4.00으로 붉은 고추가 가장 낮고, 상치가 가장 높았으나, 채소 종류 간 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다.

보강 혼합토의 역학적 특성(II) -섬유 혼합토- (Mechanical Characteristics of Reinforced Soil(II) -Fiber Reinforced Soil-)

  • This study has been performed to investigate the physical and mechanical characteristics of compaction, volume change and compressive strength for reinforced soil mixed with polypropylene fiber, and to confirm the reinforcing effects with admixture such as polypropylene fiber. To this end, a series of compaction test and compression test was conducted for clayey soil(CL) and polypropylene fiber reinforced soil. In order to determine proper moisture contents and mixing ratio, pilot test was carried out for natural soil and PFRS(polypropylene fiber reinforced soil). And the mixing ratio of mono-filament fiber and fibrillated polypropylene fiber admixture was 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5% and 1.0% by the weight of dry soil. From the experimental results, it was found that the optimum moisture contents(OMC) increased with the mixing ratio of fiber, but the maximum dry unit weight and the volume change was decreased with the mixing ratio. It means that the improvement of the workability and the reduction of the weight of embankment was done by the addition of the polypropylene fiber. And, from the compression test results, it was found that the addition of the polypropylene fiber remarkably improved the compressive strength of PFRS. And it was observed in the viewpoint of strength that the fibrillated polypropylene fiber reinforced soil was more effective than the mono-filament polypropylene fiber reinforced soil.
