분무 배소법에 의한 복합산화물의 제조공정 및 Mn-Zn ferrite의 자기 특성에 관한연구 (Study on the Manufacturing Process of Complex Oxide by Co-Roasting Process and Magnetic Properties Mn-Zn Ferrite)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 불순물들을 다량 함유한 mill scale과 ferro-Mn을 정제과정을 거쳐 불순물들의 함량을 100 ppm 이하로 감소시킨 후 이들을 원료로 사용하여 Mn-Zn ferrite 원료분말을 기존의 고상반응법이 아닌 분무배소 방법에 의해 제조하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 정제된 원료용액을 분무배소시킴으로써 고상의 미세한 복합산화물 분말을 형성시키며, 생성된 분말을 효율적으로 포집할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 유해 생성기체를 중화시킬 수 있는 분무배소로 system을 개발하였다. 또한 정제된 원료 용액을 본 연구에서 개발된 분무배소로 내로 투입시킴으로써 Mn-ferrite 및 $Fe_{2}O_{3}$$Mn_{2}O_{3}$의 복합산화물 분말을 제조하였으며, 이때 각각의 조건 하에서 생성된 분말들에 대해 조성, 비표면적 및 입도 분포 등의 물리적, 화학적 특성을 조사하였다. 분무 배소법에 의해 생성된 원료분말에 ZnO 및 기타 첨가제를 정해진 조성으로 혼합시킨 후 성형 및 엄격하게 제어된 소결과정에 의해 Mn-Zn ferrite core를 제조하였다. 또한 제조된 core에 대하여 손실값, 초투자율, 잔류자속밀도, 항자력 및 포화자속밀도의 자기적 특성을 측정하였으며, 이 결과들을 바탕으로 Mn-Zn ferrite 원료 분말을 제조하기 위한 분무배소방법의 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • It is reported that about more than 45% of damage shown in railroad rails include breakage of rail end which cross the center of Thermit welded zone. Thermite welding is always accompanied by numerous aluminum oxide and secondary inclusions, which may have a negative influence on the ductility and toughness of the weld metal. In this study the aluminum powder recycled by waste aluminum can was used for iron oxide generated after the process of welding rod and the remain aluminum was reduced by minimizing the quantity of aluminum. And complete dissolution was induced by using ferro Mn powder as the additive element. This study reviewed the applicability of heat treatment in the welded zone of rail using ceramic heating pad by carrying it out. This study could observe the improvement of the mechanical characteristics (UTS and elongation) and the changes of failure mechanism from brittleness to ductility. It could be found that improved strength and elongation result from pearilte fine structure.

Mechanical Behaviour of Non-Oxide Boride Type Ceramics Formed on The AISI 1040 Plain Carbon Steel

  • A series experiments were performed to evaluate mechanical behavior of non-oxide boride type ceramics formed on the AISI 1040 plain carbon steel. Boronizing was performed in a slurry salt bath consisting of borax, boric acid, and ferro-silicon at $950^{\circ}C$ for 2-6h. The AISI 1040 steel used as substrate material was containing 0.4%C, 0.13%Si, 0.65%Mn, 0.02%P, 0.014%S. The presence of non-oxide boride type ceramics $Fe_2B $ and FeB formed on the surface of steel was confirmed by metallographic technique and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The hardness of borides measured via Vickers indenter with a load of 2N reached a microhardness of up to 1800 DPN. The hardness of unborided steel was 185 DPN. The fracture toughness of borides measured by means of Vickers indenter with a load of 10N was about 2.30 MPa.$m^{1/2}$. The thickness of boride layers ranged from 72$\mu\textrm{m}$ to 145$\mu\textrm{m}$. Boride layers have a columnar morphology.

[Pd/Co] 다층박막을 이용한 수직스핀밸브 구조에서 비자성층에 인접한 강자성 물질과 그 두께에 따른 자유층의 보자력 변화 (Coersivity Alteration of Free Layer in the [Co/Pd] Spin-valves with Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropy)

  • 수직자기이방성을 갖는 $[Pd/Co]_N$ 다층박막을 이용한 스핀밸브구조에서 Cu에 인접한 강자성층의 물질의 종류와 두께에 따른 자기적 특성을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서 강한 수직자기이방성에 기인한 자유층의 큰 보자력을 줄이기 위하여 Cu 비자성층에 인접 한 강자성층에 물질을 NiFe, $Co_8Fe_2$, $Co_9Fe_1$로 삽입하여 각 물질이 갖는 수직 이방성 크기를 조절하여 수직자기 이방성을 갖는 스핀밸브 구조의 자기적 특성을 실험하였다. $Co_9Fe_1$ 물질을 Cu에 인접한 두 강자성층에 0.078 nm의 얇은 두께로 삽입한 결과 0.58%의 자기저항비를 가짐과 동시에 5 Oe의 작은 보자력을 나타내었다. 또한 그 두께를 0.7 nm로 증가시켰을 때 최대 6.7%의 자기저항비를 얻었고 자유층의 보자력을 약 100 Oe로 감소시켰다.

대전서남지대(大田西南地帶)에 있어서의 옥천대(沃川帶) 우라늄광상(鑛床)에 대(對)한 광물학적(鑛物學的) 및 지화학적(地化學的) 연구(硏究) (Mineralogical and Geochemical Studies of Uranium Deposits of the Okchon Group in Southwestern District off Taejon, Korea)

  • Uraniferous black slates of the Okchon sequence occur in Koesan (northeast) through Miwon-Boun (middle) to the southwest off Taejon (southwest) within the Okchon fold belt. The Uraniferous balck slates in the southwest off Taejon are particularly well developed in Chubu (northeast) and Moksso-ri (middle) areas whereas they are less developed in Jinsan (southwest) area. The uraniferous beds range from less than a meter to 40 meters in thickness and range from less than 0.02% $U_3O_8$ (cut-off-grade) to 0.05% $U_3O_8$ in the southwestern district off Taejon. Electron microprobe analysis of uranium-minerals found in graphitic slate samples enables to estimate their major compositions semi-quantitatively so that uraninite, ferro-uranophane and chlopinite are tentatively identified. Uranium-minerals are closely associated with carbon and metal sulfides. Correlation analysis of trace element concentrations revealed that U and F.C., and U and Mo are lineary correlative respectively and their correlation coefficients are positively high whereas those of U and V, U and Mn, and U and Zr are negatively low, implying that uranium mineralization has been closely related with concentrations of carbon and molybdenum. Stable isotope analyses of pyrite sulfur range widely from +11.5% to -23.3% in ${\delta}^{34}S$ values whereas those of graphite carbon fall within a narrow range between -23.3% and -28.9% in ${\delta}^{13}C$ values. The wide range of ${\delta}^{34}S$ values suggests that the sulfur could be of meteoric origin rather than of igneous source. The narrow range of ${\delta}^{13}C$ values, which are close to those of coal, indicates that the graphite is organic carbon in origin. Therefore, it is concluded that the uranium mineralization in the Okchon sequence took place primarily in sedimentary environment rich in organic matter and sulfide ion, both of which served as the reducing agents to convert soluble uranyl complex to insoluble uranium dioxide.

테르밋 반응을 이용한 페로망간 전기로 분진의 재활용에 관한 연구 (Recovery of manganese compounds from electric arc furnace dust by Aluminothermy Process)

  • The properties of dust collected from electric arc furnace of ferro manganese production units was investigated, and also the metallic manganese was recovered from the dust by aluminothermy process. The ferromanganese dust collected from electric arc furnace contained about 15% of manganese oxide ($Mn_3O_4$) and 9% of carbon as the contaminant, and have a 5um of 50% median diameter and irregular particle shape. The carbon contaminant in the dust could be reduced until about 0.1~0.5% level by roasting in the air at a temperature of 600~900C for 60minutes. The recovery of manganese could not be carried out using only ferromanganese dust from electric arc furnace by aluminothermy process, but the ferromanganese which contained manganese of about 92% and iron of about 5% could be obtained from the mixture of ferromanganese dusts from electric arc furnace and converter. The best mixing condition of dust fixed at electric arc furnace dust / converter dust ratio of 1:9 and 2:8, and the mixing rato of 3:7 or more could not separated the metal and slag from the reactant after aluminothermy reaction.

$Pr_{2}O_{3}$ 첨가량에 따른 BSCT 세라믹의 미세구조 특성 (Microstructure properties with variation of doped amount $Pr_{2}O_{3}$ of BSCT ceramics)

  • The barium strontium calcium titanate((Ba,Sr,Ca)$TiO_3$) powders prepared by the sol-gel method and $MnCO_3$ as acceptor were mixed oxide method. The microstructure was investigated with variation of $Pr_{2}O_{3}$ amount. The BSCT powder and $Pr_{2}O_{3}$ were mixed with organic vehicle(Ferro. B75001). BSCT thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method on alumina substrates. The bottom electrode was Pt and upper electrode was Ag, respectively. All BSCT thick films were sintered at $1420^{\circ}C$, for 2h. The result of the differential thermal analysis(DTA), exothermic peak at around $654^{\circ}C$ due to the formation of the polycrystalline perovskite phase. In the X-ray diffraction(XRD) patterns, all BSCT thick films showed the typical perovskite polycrystalline structure and no pyrochlore phase was dbserved. The microstructure investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM). Pore and grain size of BSCT thick films were decreased with increasing amount of $Pr_{2}O_{3}$ dopant. And the average grain size and thickness of BSCT thick films doped with 0.1 mol% $Pr_{2}O_{3}$ was $3.09{\mu}m$, $60{\mu}m$, respectively. The relative dielectric constant decreased and dielectric loss decreased with increasing amount of $Pr_{2}O_{3}$ dopant, the values of the BSCT thick films no doped with $Pr_{2}O_{3}$ were 7443 and 4 % at 1 kHz, respectively.

홍천자철광상의 구성광물의 화학적 특징 (Geochemistry of Minerals in the Hongcheon Magnetite Deposits, Korea)

  • 홍천자철광상은 경기변성암복합체의 동북부에 위치하는 흑움노대상편마암내에 렌즈상으로 협재되어 있다. 자철광체는 모암인 석영-장석질대상편마암과는 광물함량에 있어 점이적이다. 자철광체는 자철광석과 자철석대상편마암으로 이루어져 있으며 이들은 자철석의 함량의 차이에 따라 구분되어진다. 이들 암석의 주 구성광물은 자철석, 석영, 사장석과 녹니석이며 각섬석류, 흑운모, 백운모, 인회석, 능철석, 안케라이트, 모나자이트, 돌로마이트 및 방해석 등이 부성분 광물로 산출된다. 각섬석류는 자철광석인 경우 보통각섬석, 리치테라이트(richterite), Mg-아페소나이트(arfvedsonite), Mg-리베카이트(riebekite), 그리고 자철석대상편마암의 경우 보통각섬석에 해당되는 화학조성을 나타내고 있어 이들이 모암의 화학조성과 변성작용시 글로코페인(glaucophane) Na(M4)Al3VI=CaMg 및 리치테라이트 Na(M4)Na(A)=Ca 치환에 의하여 주로 조절되어졌음을 나타낸다. 흑운모는 주로 자철석 대상편마암에 함유되며 앤나이트(annite)의 화학조성을 갖는다. 녹니석은 자철광석의 경우 피크노녹니석(pycnochlorite)에서 다이아반타이트(diabantite)에 이르는, 그리고 자철석대상편마암의 경우 피크노녹니석의 화학조성을 보여 준다. 함탄산염광물은 후기에 도입된 열수용액에 의해 2차로 생성된 것이며 Fe, Mg 및 Mn의 함량비에 따라 능철석, 안케라이트 및 능망간질돌로마이트 등으로 구분된다.
