Purpose: Along with the country's decreasing birth rate, many South Korean women are currently facing the issue of high risk pregnancy. Despite the increasing number of women who prefer to get married at an older age, fewer of them are aware of how to prepare for healthy pregnancy at such age. The following study has been conducted to check the level of awareness and educational demand regarding healthy pregnancy among female university students who are not majoring in medical fields. Methods: Google Forms was used to survey 245 female students attending a university located in the Province of Gyenongi. We asked about their attitudes to and knowledge of pregnancy, their lifestyle, and the demand for pregnancy education. Results: The average age of the participants was 20.4 years. Although the majority of the correspondents answered that they have received education about pregnancy before, many of them displayed a low level of knowledge regarding pregnancy. On contrast, the demand for education about pregnancy and high risk pregnancy was high. Conclusion: For healthier pregnancy and childbirth, more preparation is needed before entering pregnancy. Management programs to be given prior to pregnancy should be developed to promote the knowledge and awareness of healthy pregnancy.
In order to obtain the information on the status of using university cafeteria and students' preferences, the survey was conducted through questionaires to 434 students(male:195, female : 239) of 8 universities - 2 universities employed dietitian and 6 universities which didn't employ dietitian -through all the area of Incheon from 19th November 1990 to 14th December, 1990. The results obtained were as follows. 1) For keeping temperature of meals until service to students Refrigerator or warming cabinet or putting meals on low flames were used, and the amount for one person was almost decided by rough estimation by experience. All the foods remained were discarded. Also most of the cooking manager's age were from 50 to 59 and almost cooking managers graduated middle school. The fuel to cook was gas or kerosene. Method to disinfect tableware was boiling. 2) In case of the frequency of using university cafeteria, male students used cafeteria more often than female students, and regardless of sex students made use of cafeteria for lunch more than for breakfast and supper. Students also used university cafeteria not employing dietitian more than cafeteria employing dietitian. Disregarding of male, female, cafeteria employing cafeteria not employing dietitian, all students pointed out that main reason for using cafeteria were 'low price' and 'no other place to eat' And minor reasons were ' good taste' and 'meal quality'. On the contrary, the case of not using cafeteria were 'waiting in line' to male students, 'poor taste' to female students, 'waiting in line' and 'no varieties' on the cafeteria which employed dietitian, 'poor taste' and 'poor hygienes' on the cafeteria which didn't employ dietitian. 3) Considering of the preferences of menu, both male and female students liked "Bibim Bab" And male students prefered meals which contained broth both but female students prefered a light meals. 4) the difference of preferences showed that female student's preferences were high at all foods, and the preferences of fruits were high for both students. In detail, male students liked port, liver and small intestine of cattle, oyster and beans boiled in soysauce. But female students likde milk, yogurt and cucumber.
This study was conducted to investigate factors affecting bone density of food and nutrition vegetarian and non-vegetarian university students in Seoul area. Data for food habits, dietary and health-related behaviors were obtained by self administered questionnaires. BQI(bone quality index) of the subjects was measured by an Quantitative Ultrasound (QUS). The results are summarized as follows: The average height, weight, BMI and osteopenia percentage of the vegetarian and non-vegetarian male and female student were 172.61cm, 62.42kg, 20.98 and 24.2%; 175.38cm, 72.52kg, 23.71 and 16.7%; 160.47cm, 55.76kg, 21.66 and 55.9%; 161.77cm, 56.34kg, 21.53 and 37.6%, respectively. The BQI of the subjects were 101.73 and 107.43 in male student group, and 84.15, 89.64 in female student group, respectively. The BQI, Z-score value of bone density was significantly different in female group. Weight and BMI were positively related with BQI in male and female group. BQI was positively affected by nutrition supplement and negatively affected by seafood in vegetarian male student group. In vegetarian female student group, amount of meal was positively related with BQI and meal regularity was negatively related BQI. The result of this study revealed that the desirable food habits, dietary behaviors and health-related lifestyles may have a beneficial effect on bone density. They should have practically and systematically organized nutritional education on optimum body weight, good eating habits, weight bearing exercise and intakes of good quality nutrient for higher bone density level.
This study compares the buying patterns of American and Korean female college students in relation to their self-concept. It was implemented through self-administered questionnaires which were back translated for validity. Respondents comprised 730 female students majoring in fields related to clothing and textiles: 307 U.S. students were located in the Northeast, West, and Southwest, and 423 Korean students were at four universities in Seoul. Likert scales were used for most measures, with 1 = never or very unimportant, and 5 = always or very important. Personal self-concept was measured on the basis of Won-Shik Jung's Standardized Self-concept the Test and Tennessee Self Concept Scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and t-tests. Some clear differences between the two countries emerged. Marketers targeting American consumers should pay more attention to practicality and service, and for Koreans, more symbolic meaning of products and store displays, since these are important to them. Self-concept was somewhat related to purchasing behavior, but more study should be done before applying findings to marketing concepts.
This study explored how a female college student from a wife-battering family overcame her negative father complex and found her femininity through sandplay therapy. The client wanted to have good relationships with people as a result of the therapy. Thirty-one therapy sessions were held. The initial phase of therapy included 1-7 sessions, the intermediate phase included 8-27 sessions, and the final phase included 28-31 sessions. The client expressed her empty heart, frozen femininity and potential to work that was blocked in terms of her internal work as well as in her ability to have relationships in the first phase of therapy. During the middle phase of therapy she pursued her real and authentic self by meeting her shadow and acknowledging the different viewpoints of others. In the final phase of therapy she welcomed a new world with determination of what she would do after graduation in a real life. Through sandplay therapy in a free and protected space, the client overcame her negative father complex and found her natural femininity.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine whether non-cognitive student attributes such as learning style and personality type affected academic performance in a flipped learning classroom of a pre-dental undergraduate science course. Methods: 'Biodiversity and Global Environment,' a 15-week, 3-credit course, was designed as a flipped class in Seoul National University School of Dentistry in 2017. Second-year pre-dental students were required to enroll in the course and to engage in online learning and in-class discussion. The Kolb's Learning Style Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator were conducted to measure non-cognitive student factors. Independent samples t-test and multivariate regression analyses were used to examine the relationships between self-rated measurements and academic achievement. Results: More than half of the students enrolled in the flipped science course had an assimilator learning style (50%), followed by convergers (24%), accommodators (16%), and divergers (10%), and their personality types were dominated by the introverted, sensing, thinking, and judging types, respectively. Examining group differences using the t-test demonstrated a significant relationship between the diverger group and higher academic success. In particular, the multivariate regression analysis indicated that both thinking types and female students performed better in discussion than feeling types and male students. Conclusion: To operate the flipped learning classroom more effectively in medical and dental education, the instructor should carefully develop and apply a more tailored facilitation and relevant assessment by considering student learning styles and personality types.
This study is to investigate the concerns about obesity and diet behaviors among 565 middle and high school students in Ulsan. The results indicated that high school students rather than middle school students and girls rather than boys had higher concerns about obesity and diet behaviors. For the socio-economic variables, being female, a high school student, and a group with the least monthly allowance was higher concern about obesity and diet; and household income, educational level and occupation of the fathers also had significant impacts on the student concerns about obesity and diet behaviors. The variables of height, weight, PIBW (Percentage of Ideal Body Weight), and BMI (Body Mass Index) had significant impacts on the concerns about obesity and diet behaviors. Especially, students with normal weight had the highest concerns about obesity and diet, while obese students had the lowest concerns. (J Community Nutrition 7(4): $184\∼192$, 2005)

This paper investigates the determinants of students' success in Vietnam through conducting online interviews and surveys with 2,500 Vietnamese students at eight famous universities in Vietnam. By applying both SPSS 22 and STATA software, the study is to evaluate the impact of four driver factors, which affect GPA, language efficacy, and personal achievement. These factors are psychological perspective, home environmental, student demographic, and school environmental. The research results emphasize a positive effect of psychological and home-environmental determinants, but the negative effect of school environmental factors on the students' success. Besides, the relationship between demographics and student success was tested and indicated that male students have a better language learning ability, but a low level of academic achievement than female students. The results also point out the impact of religious affiliation and ethnicity on personal achievement. Non-religious students are better achievers than those having a religion or those in minority ethnicity. Moreover, accumulated schooling years are negatively associated with students' success. The more working experience students accrued, the higher possibility they are successful. Finally, the finding provides an insight into students' success that might be useful to government authorities and other universities in designing policies for enhancing the quality of education.

This research aimed to promote the electronic evaluation tools to tackle the pandemic implications (corona, COVID-19) and analyze the attitude and academic acceptance at the level of the female student's in the department of computer science - faculty of computer science and information technology at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia. The student's attitude toward e-assessment tolls has been measured and the main research sample consisted of 40 students' experimental group. A survey is also conducted to the assessment of the validity and reliability of research questions with the help of 50 students before implementation. There was a statistically significant difference between students' average grades in the post-measurement of the tendency toward electronic evaluation of the experimental groups in favor of the experimental group, at the significance level (0.01). The results also showed a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.01) between average scores of students in academic acceptance level in the experimental groups in favor of the experimental group. The findings of this research indicate the achievement of the e-Evaluation Acceptance and are highly recommended to propagate the use of electronic evaluation.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of clothing majors and non-majors in clothing knowledge and consumption behavior. Subjective and objective knowledge were compared and factors of clothing consumption behavior were analyzed across the two groups. The subjects of this study were female student who went to University in Seoul. Data from 150 college female students were analyzed using SPSS. Results indicated that clothing majors had significantly higher level of clothing knowledge. The differences were smaller for subjective knowledge levels than objective knowledge levels. Clothing majors tended to reform their clothes and coordinate their clothing items better than non-majors. They considered styles more importantly than brands but have some level of conformity. Among clothing consumption behavior factors, reform ability and coordination ability significantly affected clothing knowledge.
