여대생의 음주행위 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Alcohol Consuming behavior of the Female University Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose was to investigate the factors influencing alcohol consuming behavior of the female university students to provide the basic data for a nursing intervention program to improve health and prohibit of alcohol consuming behavior. Method: The subjects were 134 female university students, studying at K university and K educational university in Chungnam province from April 1 to 20, 2002. The instruments were the alcohol consuming behavior scale, that is drinking intensity score, and alcohol problem developed by Shin(1998), refusal self-efficacy scale by Aas et. al.(1995), alcohol expectancy by Goldman at. al.(1989), TPQ scale by Cloninger(1991), depression scale modified by Shin(1977) using Zung(1965)' tool, family cohesion scale by Olson at. al.(1983). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, canonical correlation and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The most powerful predictor of alcohol consuming behavior was influence of friends-drinking(21.0%). A combination of economic status(8.0%), and personality of novelty seeking(3.0%), accounted for 32.0% of the variance in alcohol consuming behavior. Conclusion: I recommended that economic status, influence of friends drinking frequently, and personality of novelty seeking were contained of the developing nursing intervention program for decreasing the alcohol consuming behavior in female university students.

고려수지침요법이 월경곤란증이 있는 여대생의 통증과 월경증상에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Koryo-Sooji-Chim on Menstrual Pain & Menstrual Symptoms of Female University Students with Dysmenorrhea)

  • Purpose: The Purposes of this study were to examine the effects of Koryo-Sooji-Chim (30minutes * 2times/week * 2weeks) on menstrual pain and menstrual symptoms of female university students with dysmenorrhea. Method: The subjects were 22 female students with dysmenorrhea, 12 experimental group, 10 control group, studying at K university in Chungnam province. The data were collected through questionnaires from September 1st to November 30th 2003 were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test and Mann-Whitney test. Result: 1. The menstrual pain scores were significantly different between the two groups(U=16.0, p=.001). 2. The menstrual symptom scores were significantly different between the two groups(U=28.5, p=.038). Conclusion: These findings showed that Koryo-Sooji-Chim was effective related to menstrual pain and menstrual symptoms of female university students with dysmenorrhea. Koryo-Sooji-Chim during dysmenorrhea could be applied as an effective nursing intervention.

여대생들의 돈에 대한 태도와 경험 : 한국, 일본 및 한국계, 일본계 미국 여대생 비교 (Money Beliefs and Behaviors and Experiences of Female College Students; A Comparison of Korean, Japanese, Korean-and Japanese-American Students)

  • This paper compared the money beliefs and behaviors and the experiences of four different groups of female college students using furnham's(1984) money Beliefs and Behaviors (MBBS) scale. These four groups were Korean, Japanese, Korean-American, and Japanese American. Two hundreds of female college students were surveyed. Results from an exploratory factor analysis of the MBBS indicate the four factors: Obsession, Power, Anxiety, and Budget. There were significant differences in factors of the money beliefs and behaviors and the selected variables of the money experiences among compared four groups.

성별에 따른 대학생의 스트레스 대처방식과 정서적 섭식의 관계 연구 (The Relationship between Coping Style for Stress and Emotional Eating Behavior by Gender Difference)

  • This study examined the relationship between coping style for stress and emotional eating behavior focused on gender difference. A total of 475 college students(males, 244; females, 231) participated in this study. The results were as follows. First, there were significant gender difference in coping style for stress. The scores of male students were significantly higher than those of female students in the problem-focused and self-comforting coping styles, whereas scores of female students were significantly higher than male students in social support pursuit and emotion-focused coping styles. Second, there were significant gender difference in emotional eating behavior. Female students reported higher emotional eating behavior than male students. Third, male students preferred a problem-focused coping style, whereas female students preferred a social support pursuit coping style the most. Fourth, the interaction of gender and coping style for stress were not related to the emotional eating behavior. Both of male and female students who preferred an emotion focused coping style reported the highest score in emotional eating behavior. The limitations of the present study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

간호학과 남학생의 교우관계 경험 (The Experience of Friendship in Male Nursing Students)

  • The purpose of this research is to describe the experiences of friendship in male nursing students. This study was based on the phenomenological method described by Colaizzi(1978). To collect qualitative data, 21 personal interviews were conducted from June to August 2014. Four theme clusters emerged from the data as follows: They experienced as a small fringe group; Female students' world they hardly understood; They conflicted with the different female world; They endeavored to company with female students. The results of this study could guide nursing faculties to understand male nursing students' experience as different from female ones, and to support them to realize their full potential to develop into good nurses.

  • Providing female students with competitive advantages in their social activity became one of the important issues of the college education in Korea. Thereupon, for the purpose of more effective and systematic support for the female students, many universities have adopted the cyber mentoring system. However, customers' requirements for such cyber mentoring systems are not reflected at the initial stage, resulting in some inefficient performances. In this study, we propose a desirable cyber mentoring system reflecting female students' requirements by using QFD and conjoint analysis. We expect that the proposed system will help to cultivate high quality female resources in a more effective way.

남ㆍ여 대학생의 두발, 신발, 장신구의 고정관념에 대한 연구 -선생님과 학생역할을 중심으로- (A Study on the Stereotype of Hair Style, Shoes and Ornaments Manifested by University Student)

  • This study examines how the stereotype in a society toward the roles of teachers and students affects their hair styles and ornaments and defines it through the cultural tag, 'like'. A survey of 362 male and female students in colleges located in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas was conducted. The data analysis was done by SPSS 10.0 and the difference of sample means between the groups in addition to basic statistics was evaluated. The t-test was made to test statistically significant difference between the groups. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows: First, the hair styles, shoes and ornaments that are recognized as appropriate for the roles of male students are short cut and black hair, sneakers and necktie. In that case of female students, medium and long hair style, black and brown hair, Loafer, hairpin and hairband are recognized properly. The hair styles, shoes and ornaments that are recognized as appropriate for the roles of male teachers are short cut and black hair, oxfords and necktie. In that case of female teachers, cut, medium, long, permanent and up style, 1)lack and brown hair, pumps, necklace, ring, earring, bracelet, hairpin, hairband, scarf and muffler are recognized appropriately. Second, the stereotype of male students and teachers's roles was more traditional, normative, and limited than that of female students and teachers's. The role of female teachers showed more generous than that of male students, female students, and male teachers.

여대생을 대상으로 한 식이 행동 중재프로그램의 효과: 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석 (Effects of Eating Behaviors Intervention Programs for Female University Students: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis)

  • 본 연구는 여대생을 대상으로 한 식이 행동 중재프로그램의 효과를 조사하기 위한 체계적인 검토 및 메타분석이다. 분석 대상 논문은 2015년부터 2020년 2월 29일까지의 연구로, PRISMA에 따라 체계적으로 수집되었다. 메타분석을 위해 총 9편의 논문이 최종 선정되었고, 효과 크기를 추정하기 위해 Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 3.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 여대생을 대상으로 적용된 식이 행동 중재프로그램 연구의 전체적인 효과 크기는 큰 것으로 나타났고, 문제 식이 행동 여대생을 대상으로 한 6편의 연구에서 효과 크기가 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 전체 여대생과 문제 식이행동 여대생 모두 식이 행동 관련 변수 및 심리사회적 관련 변수에서 유의한 효과 크기를 나타냈다. 그러므로 본 연구결과는 향후 여대생을 대상으로 차별화 된 식이 행동 중재프로그램을 개발하는 기초자료로써 연구의 의의가 있다.

모델전공 여대생과 일반 여대생의 신체조성 및 기초체력 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis of Body Composition and Basic Physical Strength between Model Majored Female College Students and General Female College Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 모델전공 여대생과 일반 여대생의 신체조성 및 기초체력을 비교분석 하는데 있다. 본 연구의 취지를 충분히 설명하고 자발적 참여의 동의서를 작성한 D대학교의 모델전공 여대생 15명과 일반 여대생 15명이었으며, 과거병력과 현재 특별한 질환이 없고, 규칙적인 운동경험이 없는 자들로 구성하였다. 이들은 신체조성검사 및 기초체력검사인 좌 우악력, 배근력, 유연성, 순발력, 근지구력을 실시하여 평균 표준편차를 산출하기 위하여 기술통계를 실시하였고, 집단 간 차이 검증은 independent t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 통계적 유의수준은 p<.05로 설정하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 모델전공 여대생과 일반 여대생의 체중, 골격근, 체지방량, BMI 및 좌 우악력 및 배근력, 순발력에서 집단 간 유의(p.<05)한 차이를 보였으며, 유연성 및 근지구력은 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(p>.05).

Value recognition and eating patterns of Kimchi in female middle school students and their mothers

  • This study analyzed Kimchi eating culture in 178 households with female middle school children located in Incheon and Seosan areas, investigated the Kimchi eating patterns of female middle school students, and also analyzed the differences in value recognition for Kimchi between mothers and their female middle school students. Results showed that 23.0% of subject households answered eat Kimchi at every meal and the main reason for eating Kimchi in most households was good for taste. Most households made their own Kimchi, and only 12.3% of households bought Kimchi. Subject households preferred hot and spicy taste (34.8%) and pleasing taste (20.2%), and 44.4% of middle school children answered as eating Kimchi at every meal, and the source for information on Kimchi was home in 51.6% and mass media in 33.7%, suggesting the lack of school education. Both mothers and their female middle school students placed high value on Kimchi for its nutritional aspect and on Kimchi from the market for its convenience. Mothers showed significantly higher value (p<0.05) on the storage aspect of Kimchi compared to their middle school students, and female middle school students showed significantly higher value (p<0.05) on the value recognition for Kimchi as an international food compared to their mothers. Also, the value for hot pepper powder was high among other additional ingredients, and both mothers and middle school students had high values for Kimchi stew among other food dishes using Kimchi, and middle school students showed higher values (p<0.001) on foreign dishes using Kimchi such as Kimchi pizza and Kimchi spaghetti compared to the mothers group. Therefore, based on these results, the development of educational programs on Kimchi is needed not only at home but also at schools, by re-emphasizing the importance of value recognition for Klmchi in our food culture.
