Expectations In Fuzzy Environments

  • The evaluation of the Fuzzy Expected Value (FEV) as a typical value requires complete knowledge about the domain of the evaluation, and the distribution of the population in that domain [1]. Since in many situations it is not possible to gather complete knowledge regarding the domain, it is necessary to relax some of the restrictions involving the evaluation of FEV. In this paper we discuss solutions to this problem by using the concept of the Fuzzy Expected Interval (FEI).

  • We present observational results characterizing molecular outflows from very low-mass objects in ${\rho}$ Ophiuchi and Taurus. Our results provide us with important implications that clarify the formation process of very low-mass objects.

  • By use of RS and GIS, the QuickBird image and geographic map were used for the survey of the foreshore resources of Shanghai. The image was processed and interpreted. The distribution maps of sea dike, foreshore, vegetation, soil, hydraulic structures, landscape, topography, and so on were extracted in manual classification. These data have been integrated into the information management system for the shoreline and foreshore. It plays an important role in the evolvement analysis of the shoreline and foreshore.

  • Fault section detection and service restoration is very important in ungrounded distribution system. Techniques currently used to track down faults are time consuming and cumbersome. A new scheme is developed based on communication technology, and the simulation result shows that the method can satisfy the requirement proposed.

  • 혈관 구조는 사람의 가장 복잡한 구조 중 하나이다. 혈관 분석에는 Morphology and Topology 가 있다. 우리는 목표는 위 분석 기법과는 달리 3D 영상 재구성이다. 본 논문은 Raw CT data 을 세그먼트하고 Skeleton line 을 인용하여 복잡한 트리 형태의 혈관 3D 재구성을 하였다.
