Growth patterns of Saccharomyces cerevisiae NS 2031 and its total RNA contents were observed by a fed-batch fermentation with different media-feeding methods. With an exponential feeding pattern, both final cell concentrations and intracellular RNA contents decreased with increasing feeding rates. Intracellular RNA contents also decreased with the growth time. At the same feeding rate of the exponential pattern, final cell concentrations decreased with the increase of total sugar concentration whereas intracellular RNA contents increased. The highest cellular yield was 0.47 at the total sugar concentration of 10%. With increasing feeding rates of the parabolic feeding pattern, final cell concentrations decreased whereas intracellular RNA contents increased, showing a different tendency from the exponential feeding pattern. In comparison of two feeding methods, the exponential feeding pattern was better than the parabolic feeding pattern in terms of cell growth, cellular yields and intracellular RNA contents of Saccharomyces cerevisiae NS 2031. Also, the intracellular RNA contents of the exponential feeding pattern was found to be about 2% higher than that of the parabolic feeding pattern at the same instantaneous growth rate $({\mu}_{inst})$.
Red sea bream, Pagrus major a fish species characterized by its dualistic feeding pattern, was investigated to study the synchronizing effect of light and food on the demand-feeding rhythm. Nocturnal and diurnal red sea bream, both in groups and individually, were exposed to restricted-feeding and Light-Dark cycles of different periods. The phase relationship between both zeitgebers was also studied. In some cases, food availability restricted to the light or dark phase contrary to that of the previous feeding phase changed a diurnal feeding pattern into nocturnal and vice versa, suggesting that food can be one of the switching factors that decides whether the circadian system of red sea bream is diurnal or nocturnal. However, the fact that the feeding pattern of some fish was unrelated with the phase in which food was available suggests that other internal and/or external-factors could be involved in the temporal flexibility of red sea bream.
Feeding mode and evacuation pattern of 9 breast-fed(BF) infants and 22 formula-fed(FF) infants were monitored at 1, 2 and 3 months postpartum in Korea. The daily feeding volume to the BF infants was significantly less than that to the FF infants at 2 and 3 months postpartum. And the daily feeding voloume to the BF infants decreased significantly with age, whereas that to the FF infants increased significantly. These data indicated that the frequency of daily feeding decreased with age in bofy infants' intake per feeding increased whereas the BF infants' did not. As a result, the BF infants could not adjust their intakes. The frequency of daily evactation of the BF infants was higher than that of the FF infants, but the amount of daily evacuation of the BF infants was less than that of the FF infants.
Feeding behavior fo female brown planthoppers, Nilaparvata lugens Stal, was examined with an electrical recording technique using DC amplifier and through anatomical observation of stylet ovement in the rice plat with electrical recordings. There was six feeding patterns, type P, S, SB, O, X and Ph with the brown planthopper. Type P was a probing pattern during searching the proper feeding site. Type S appeared to be associated with the initial penetration and changing direction through the tissues, and from this type type SB pattern could be distinguished by the regularity of the large potential drops seen, and might be associated with penetration of the phloem sheath and/or salivation in the phloem sheath. The type O pattern shows none of the large voltage drops which were believed to occur when cell walls were being broken down and passes through a relatively thin layer of cells into an air space. The very constant waveform of the type X pattern could be seen during ingestion within the xylem bundle sheath area. The Ph pattern always followed an SB pattern and was associated with a marked negative voltage drop. When this pattern was seen, the brown planthopper might be ingested plant sap from phloem sheath area.
Diurnal variation in faecal chromic oxide levels was estimated from 4 hourly faecal sampling of 56 wethers allotted to one of six different feeding patterns. Sampling occurred on days 6 and 7 (Period 1) after a controlled release device was administered, and was repeated on days 14 and 15 (Period 2) following re-randomisation of the wethers to the feeding patterns. Increasing the frequency of feeding tended to be associated with higher faecal chromic oxide levels (p < 0.05), particularly in wethers fed thrice daily at 8 hour intervals. There was no interaction between feeding pattern and period, sampling day or time within-day. There were significant period x time within-day (p < 0.05) and day x time within-day (p < 0.001) interactions, indicating that variation in faecal chromic oxide between sample times was not consistent. This implies that sampling at any time of day is unlikely to result in a biased estimate of pasture intake, providing sufficient samples are collected. Significant period (p < 0.001) and period x day (p < 0.01) effects were associated with slow faecal chromic oxide equilibration in period 1. Equilibration did not occur until after day 7, indicating a need for caution when commencing sampling.
For the comparison of feeding behavior of Nilaparvata lugens among different rice varieties, electrical penetration graph (EPG) technique was used. Ten rice varieties were selected from national-widely recommended rice varieties cultivating in Chungnam province. The correlation between feeding duration and honeydew amount excreted was investigated, and the types of EPG pattern were analyzed among rice varieties. The EPG patterns divided into 6 types according to electrical specific feature, respectively. Type 1 pattern was a searching feeding sites, resting or wandering on a rice plant. Type 2 pattern was appeared when the insect untaken from phloem sieve element. Type 3 pattern was observed when the insect piercing into the rice plant. Type 4 pattern was observed when the insect salivating in rice plant. Type 5 pattern was observed when the insect ingesting from the xylem. Type 6 pattern was observed when the stylet moving in cell. Feeding duration time on Gum-nam was significantly shorter than Dong-jin, Dae-ahn, Dong-ahn, Dae-san. Also, on Gun-nam, it was shown that the brown planthopper did not penetrate the cuticle for a long time. The total number of excreted honeydew droplets by the brown planthopper was the greatest in Dong-jin variety and the least in Gum-nam variety. In proportion to phloem feeding time, the number of honeydew droplets had been increased. According to the results of EPG patterns and honeydew droplets analysis, N. lugens seems to prefer Dong-jin, Dong-ahn, Dae-san, and Dae-ahn to Gum-nam, Da-san, and Nam-chun rice plant variety.
E-Card Service for Child Nutrition Program is one of the main public policy services nowadays. In case of inconvenience during the use of the e-cards, it is recommended to cooperate with related organizations in order to promptly handle and provide guidance, and thoroughly manage child feeding service such as hygiene, nutrition and kindness etc. To do so, it is very important to provide food service that meets local actual conditions and children's needs in a cost effective manner for the underage who are worried about the poorly-fed by understanding the pattern of child feeding e-card service. Hence. this paper aims to investigate how child feeding e-card service efficiently provides meals according to the local situation and children's needs through big data analysis and to propose a method of identifying welfare conditions according to the purpose of service with actual application examples. The results suggest that, first of all, this study is able to judge appropriateness of public institution's policy in a timely and repetitive manner through non-standard data analysis such as Naver News and transaction data. Secondly, this paper proposes a multi-layered analysis framework, which performs online open data analysis to detect policy issues, visualizes retrieval and preprocessing of real data, and performs abnormal pattern recognition. These will be worthy of reference to other similar projects.

The mean time of the longest activity period was 6.16 hours. The mean times of feeding frequency were daytime feeding 4.53, nighttime feeding 1.92, total daily feeding 6.45. The mean of regularity of feeding frequency was 65.71%.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between knowledge of breast feeding and practice of feeding pattern. A sample of 117 mothers who have the babies between age from 1 month to 12 months were selected from one university hospital and one public heath care center in J city. The data were collected with the questionnaire during the period from the January. 5, 2002 through January. 30, 2002. Analysis was done by using frequency, percentage, t-test, analysis of variance, and scheffe test. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Comparision of the method of feeding by general characters. Income state, rearing (p=.019), rearing supporters(p=.026), infant age(p=.03) have shown significant difference as the variables affecting Breast practice rate. Breastfeeding rate were 24.8%, mixedfeeding type, 14.5%, milkfeeding type, 60.7%. The mean of knowledge on breastfeeding by feeding patterns were the highest in the group of breastfeeding. There was statistical significance between the group of breast feeding and milkfeeding(p=.000). In the conclusion, this study revealed that knowledge of breastfeeding promoted practice of breastfeeding. Therefore, to promote practice of breastfeeding, it is necessary that nurses provide adequate information about knowledge of breastfeeding.
The computer simulation model was used to forecast the concentrations of COD$_{cr}$, NH$_{4}$$^{+}$-N and NO$_{3}$$^{-}$-N in each reactors. In the biological wastewater treatment system, the computer simulation model was used to observe the behavior of pollutants especially. In this research, effect of SRT, feeding pattern and recirculation rate on UCT(University of Cape Town) process was evaluated by computer simulation model. T-N removal was affected to the SRT. SRT for effective T-N removal was 15 days or longer. Feeding pattern in UCT process was affected to the T-N removal. Feeding pattern which 100% loading to the first reactor was most effective for T-N removal. The effect of recirculation rate was clear for T-N removal. The recirculation from anoxic reactor to anaerobic reactor was not need but the recirculation from oxic reactor to anoxic reactor was need. In aspect of nitrogen removal efficiency, A/O process was higher than UCT process.
