This study was conducted to re-evaluate the dietary vitamin C requirement in juvenile eel, Anguilla japonica by using L-ascorbyl-2-monophosphate (AMP) as the vitamin C source. Five semi-purified experimental diets were formulated to contain 0 ($AMP_0$), 30 ($AMP_{24}$), 60 ($AMP_{52}$), 120 ($AMP_{108}$) and 1,200 ($AMP_{1137}$) mg AMP $kg^{-1}$ diet on a dry matter basis. Casein and defatted fish meal were used as the main protein sources in the semi-purified experimental diets. After a 4-week conditioning period, fish initially averaging $15{\pm}0.3$ g (mean${\pm}$SD) were randomly distributed to each aquarium as triplicate groups of 20 fish each. One of five experimental diets was fed on a DM basis to fish in three randomly selected aquaria, at a rate of 3% of total body weight, twice a day. At the end of the feeding trial, weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) for fish fed $AMP_{52}$ and $AMP_{108}$ were significantly higher than those recorded for fish fed the control diet (p<0.05). Similarly, feed efficiency (FE) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) for fish fed $AMP_{52}$ were significantly higher than those for fish fed the control diet (p<0.05). Broken-line regression analysis on the basis of WG, SGR, FE and PER showed dietary vitamin C requirements of juvenile eel to be 41.1, 41.2, 43.9 and 43.1 (mg $kg^{-1}$ diet), respectively. These results indicated that the dietary vitamin C requirement could range from 41.1 to 43.9 mg $kg^{-1}$ diet in juvenile eel when L-ascorbyl-2-monophosphate was used as the dietary source of vitamin C.

Two feeding trials were conducted to investigate the effects of feeding rate and frequency on growth performance and body composition of juvenile Korean rockfish Sebastes schlegeli reared at $15.0{\pm}0.3^{\circ}C$. In the first trial, three replicate fish groups averaging $2.07{\pm}0.03g$ were fed a commercial diet with one of seven different daily feeding rates: 1.00%, 2.00%, 2.50%, 2.75%, 3.00%, 3.25%, and satiation (3.34%) based on body weight (BW). After four weeks of feeding, fish fed the 3% diet showed significantly higher weight gain (WG) and feed efficiency (FE) than fish that received the other feeding rates. In the second trial, the optimum feeding frequency was evaluated with three replicate fish groups averaging $2.04{\pm}0.03g$. Fish were fed a commercial diet at 2.87% BW with six different daily feeding frequencies: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, or 9 meals. After four weeks of feeding, WG, specific growth rate, FE, and protein efficiency rate in fish fed 3 meals $d^{-1}$ were significantly higher than those of fish fed 7 or 9 meals $d^{-1}$. In both feeding trials, proximate composition of the entire body changed depending on the feeding rate or frequency. A broken-line regression analysis based on weight gain suggested that the optimum daily feeding rate and frequency for juvenile Korean rockfish at $15^{\circ}C$ was 2.9% BW $d^{-1}$ and 2-3 meals $d^{-1}$, respectively.
In the paper, a dual band-notched monopole antenna is proposed for 2.4 GHz WLAN (2.4 ~ 2.484 GHz) and UWB (3.1 ~ 10.6 GHz) applications. The 3.5 GHz WiMAX band notched characteristic is achived by a pair of L-shaped slots instead of the previous U-shaped slot on the center of the radiating patch, whereas the 7.5 GHz band notched characteristic is achived by C-shaped strip resonator placed near to the microstrip feed line. The measured impedance bandwidth (${\mid}S_{11}{\mid}{\leq}-10dB$) is 8.62 GHz (2.38 ~ 11 GHz) which is sufficient to cover 2.4 GHz WLAN and UWB band, while measured band-notched bandwidths for 3.5 GHz WiMAX and 7.5 GHz bnad are 1.13 GHz (3.15 ~ 4.28 GHz) and 800 MHz (7.2 ~ 8 GHz) respectively. In particular, it has been observed that antenna has a good omnidirectional radiation patterns and higher gain of 2.51 ~ 6.81 dBi over the entire frequency band of interest.
Regarding the design of the gas sweetening absorber, the gas distribution analysis for the increase of the sour gas removal and reduction of the tower height is very important research topics. Recently, regarding the $CO_2$ capture technology which is a promising option for the reduction of the greenhouse gas (GHG), the need for the gas distribution improvement is increased as the gas treating capacity increases. In this paper, we have investigated the sour gas distribution in the absorber using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) based on 10 MW post-combustion $CO_2$ capture plant installed in Boryeong power station, Korea Midland Power company. For this purpose, we suggested the three possible technology options (splash plate, spiral gas line and U-tube) for the gas distribution enhancement and compared the effect of the each cases. The result showed that the U-tube installed in the absorber increase the gas distribution about 30% compared to the base case, while the delta P increasement was about 10%. From these results, it was found that the U-tube installation is an effective technology option for the gas distribution enhancement in the gas sweetening absorber.

In this paper, compact broad-band antenna using circular spiral slot and CPW (coplanar waveguide) feed is proposed. The proposed antenna is designed on the same plane of the substrate by using CPW fed structure, archimediean spiral slot structure. So it was achieved both the size of compact antenna and the broad band. A archimediean spiral slot structure is introduced for resonance of medium band operation. The distances of a CPW feeder line and a ground plane are modified for impedance matching and lower/higher band operation. The proposed antenna has a compact size ($8mm\;{\times}\;13mm$) and it is etched on the FR-4 (relative dielectric constant 4.4, thickness 0.8mm) dielectric substrate. The simulated impedance bandwidth (VSWR $\leq$ 2) and maximum gain of the proposed antenna are 5.98GHz (4.1GHz ~ 10.08GHz) and 3.97dBi, respectively. The measured impedance bandwidth (VSWR $\leq$ 2) and maximum gain of the proposed antenna are 6.02GHz (4.48GHz ~ 10.5GHz) and 2.68dBi, respectively. The simulation and measured result shows good impedance matching and radiation pattern over the interesting frequency bands. It can be applied to antenna of broad-band wireless communication system.

The present study is to analyze an integral test, BETHSY test 6.9c, which represent loss of RURS accident under mid-loop operation. Both the pressurizer manway and the steam generator outlet plenum manway are opened as vent paths in order to prevent the system from pressurization by removing the steam generated in the core. The main purposes are to gain insights into the physical phenomena and identify sensitive parameters. Assessment of capability of CATHARE2 prediction can be established the effective recovery procedures using the code in an actual plant. Most of important physical phenomena in the experiment could be predicted by the CATHARE2 code. The peak pressure in the upper plenum is predicted higher than experimental value by 7 kPa since the differential pressure between the pressurizer and the surge line is overestimated. The timing of core uncovery is delayed by 500 seconds mainly due to discrepancy in the core void distribution. It is demonstrated that openings of the pressurizer manwey and the steam generator manway can prevent the core uncovery using only gravity feed injection. Although some disagreements are found in the detailed phenomena, the code prediction is considered reasonable for the overall system behaviors.

In this paper, design and fabrication of the LPF with controllable four transmission zeros using electric coupling and added open stub is presented. Pass-band of the LPF is GSM band, and two transmission zeros are generated by the electric coupling at the WiBro and S-DMB band, And the other two transmission zeros are generated by the open stub at the upper frequencies. Harmonic frequency of the stop-band is suppressed by the realization of the filter using quasi-lumped element with small parasitic values. $C_M$, which is the electric coupling element of the equivalent circuit, is realized by the distance control between the open stubs of the filter structure. The fabricated LPF used teflon substrate with relative permittivity of 2.6. And it has a size of $38{\times}20{\times}0.79 mm^3$, which is including a feed line. The measured 3 dB cut-off frequency is 1.55 GHz, and locations of the transmission zeros are 2.20, 2.43, 4.11 and 6.84 GHz, respectively.

This paper describes the 6-way power divider to be used as a feeding structure of the waveguide array antenna generating the plane wave at the near distance. The SMA connector has been connected at the center of the power divider in order to feed the radiating element. The six output ports made of waveguide are positioned on the peripheral of the divider. This paper proposes the method utilizing the inductive post in order to decrease the return loss. The height of the feeding pin, the diameter of the inductive post, and the distance between the feeding pin and inductive post have been investigated, and as a result, the power divider has been optimized. The simulated and measured results show the low return loss of about -40 dB. The calculated and measured transmission coefficients are -7.78 dB and -8.06 dB, respectively. The output power of the six waveguide port show equal-amplitude and equal-phase distribution. Since the power divider proposed in this paper can be expanded to the divider having several output ports, it could be easily applied to the various array antennas.
Previous studies conducted with swine have reported that the mobile nylon bag technique (MNBT) does not always accurately predict in vivo nutrient digestibilities. Therefore, in this study, the MNBT was modified so that nutrient digestibilities would more closely resemble those from conventional (Con) digestibility studies obtained using the indicator method. A total of 19 feeds were tested including five cereal grains, five legumes, three high protein sources and six mixed diets. The principle changes to the MNBT included the use of a fecal collection harness which minimized the number of bags lost. In addition, previous protocols involved pooling of bags within pig while in the present experiment all bags were analyzed separately to increase the precision of the test. Finally, chemical analyses were done using the entire nylon bag plus residue rather than opening.the bags and scraping out the contents. With the exception of the barley sample (p=0.01), dry matter digestibility (DMD) coefficients obtained with the MNBT were not significantly different from those obtained with the indicator method. The linear regression equation relating the MNBT to the indicator method was Con DMD=-O.77+1.02 MNBT DMD ($r^2=0.93$: p<0.0001). There was no significant (p>0.05) difference in gross energy digestibility (GED) coefficients determined using the MNBT or the indicator method for any of the 19 feeds. The regression line equation relating the MNBT to the indicator method was Con GED=-5.68+1.06 MNBT GED ($r^2=0.94$: p<0.0001). The MNBT was less effective in predicting in vivo crude protein digestibility (CPD) than it was in predicting dry matter and energy digestibility. Differences greater than five percentage units were observed for two of the legumes, Kabuli chickpeas (p=0.02) and the extruded pea-canola seed mixture (p=0.01) as well as for three of the mixed diets including the unheated hulled barley-based diet (p=0.01), the unheated hulless-barley based diet (p=0.08) and the barley-soybean meal based diet (p=0.008). The regression equation relating the MNBT to the indicator method was Con CPD=5.75 + 0.90 MNBT CPO ($r^2=0.76$; p<0.0001). This study indicates that the modified MNBT can be used for the rapid determination of dry matter and energy digestibility in a wide variety of ingredients. For the measurement of crude protein digestibility, the technique produces results similar to conventional digestibility studies for cereal grains and high protein feeds but tends to overestimate protein digestibility for legumes and mixed diets.

The ECG is biomedical electrical signal occurring on the surface of the body due to the contraction and relaxation of the heart. This signal represents an extremely important measure for health monitoring, as it provides vital information about a patient's cardiac condition and general health. ECG signals are contaminated with high frequency noise such as power line interference, muscle artifact and low frequency nose such as motion artifact. But it is difficult to filter nose from ECG signal, and errors resulting from filtering can distort a ECG signal. The present study implemented a small-size and low-power ECG measurement system that can remove motion artifact for convenient health monitoring during daily life. The implemented ECG monitoring system consists of ECG amplifier, a low power microprocessor, bluetooth module and monitoring program. Amplifier was designed and implemented using low power instrumentation amplifier, and microprocessor was interfaced to the ECG amplifier to collect the data, process, store and feed to a transmitter. And bluetooth module used to wirelessly transmit and receive the vital sign data from the microprocessor to an PC at the receiving site. In order to evaluate the performance of the implemented system, we assessed motion artifact rejection performance in each situation with artificially set condition using adaptive filter.
