This paper deals with the prediction of cutting force and tool deflection and it's application in the flexible ball end milling process. Machining accuracy is determined by the static stiffness of tool system and the instantaneous cutting force. The static stiffness of tool system consists of the stiffness of holer and the stiffness of ball end mill. The stiffness of holder was obtained from the experimental result, and the stiffness of ball end mill with two flutes was theoretically analyzed by the finite elements method. In cutting process, the instantaneous cutting force is dependent upon the instantaneous feed and pick feed(radial depth of cut) which are varied by tool deflection. For the calculation of cutting force and deflection of ball end mill, iteration method is used with the linear interpolation to the data of cutting force obtained from rigid ball end mill and the data of tool deflection. In this paper, a for enhancing accuracy is discussed. And the selection of helix angle for minimizing machining error is also discussed.

The dynamic characteristics of turning processes are complex, non-linear and time-varying. Consequently, the conventional techniques based on crisp mathematical model may not guarantee surface roughness regulation. This paper presents a fuzzy controller which can regulate surface roughness in milling process using end-mill under varying cutting condition. The fuzzy control rules are established from operator experience and expert knowledge about the process dynamics. regulation which increases productivity and tool life is achieved by adjusting feed-rate according to the variation of cutting conditions. The performance of the proposed controller is evaluated by cutting experiments in the converted CNC milling machine. The result of experiments show that the proposed fuzzy controller has a good surface roughness regulation capability in spite of the variation of cutting conditions.

Drilling is an indispensable process in manufacturing of the die and mould and the other mechanical parts which needs high dimensional and surface accuracy. In this paper, a new type of drilling method was proposed in order to improve both processing efficiency and accuracy. Specifically, the helical motion using ball end mill tools, instead of normal drilling method, was applied to perform an effective hole machining. In this paper, an theoretical background of the new type of drilling method was established, and the feasibility of the proposed theory was proved by experiments, where proposed drilling process in the paper gave a different machining specification than general method did.

Earthworms(Eisenia fetida) were fed with paper mill sludge produced from P&G or Yuhan Kimberly paper manufacturing factory, or cow dung manure. Turnover rate of feed into earthworm biomass and excreting rate on each feed were investigated on dry weight base. Biomass of earthworm population was increased on paper mill sludge, but it was fallen to death on cow dung manure, which had high electrical conductivity and low redox potential. When P&G paper mill sludge was supplied to adult, elder juvenile or younger juvenile for 84 days, turnover rate of feed into earthworm biomass was 0.48, 0.40 and 0.76%, respectively, and on Yuhan Kimberly paper mill sludge 0.26, 0.45, 0.42%. When P&G paper mill sludge was supplied to adult, elder juvenile or younger juvenile, excreting rate was 49.02, 54.32 and 55.39%, respectively and on Yuhan Kimberly paper mill sludge 32.22, 41.86, 40.69%, and on cow dung manure, 73.73, 57.89. 76.38%.

Recently, high productivity and cost reduction becomes the most important target of industries due to the worldwide economic competition. One of these efforts is High Speed Machining(HSM), which reduces machining time with the increase of machining speed such as cutting speed and feedrate. It is very important, especially in case that the portion of machining time in production cost is high. This research suggests optimum cutting conditions to reduce cutting time with minimizing term error. For this study, a comprehensive model representing the texture of machining surface is developed, including rubbing phenomenon on the tip of ball end mill and expanded fibbing zone trajectory caused by tool deflection. Experiments show that the suggested set of feed and pick feed is optimum for maintaining the surface roughness identified by rubbing and low cutting speed in minimum.

In this research, we try to study the change of squareness in the cutting process while changing cutting conditions such as feed rate and spindle rotational speed with chromium molybdenum steel (SCM415) material and TiCN, TiAlN coated end mill tool. The TiCN coating tool had the best straightness at 4,000 rpm at a feed rate of 200 mm/min. The TiAlN coating tool was best measured at 3,000 rpm at a feed rate of 200 mm/min. TiAlN coated tools had excellent dimensional tolerance when comparing the coating tool specifics.

This paper is studied on the effect of TiAlN coated Ball End Mill and MQL(Minimum Quantity Lubrication) cutting condition on cutting characteristic of high hardness steels. KP4 steels[HRC32] and STD11[HRC60] heat treated steels were used as the workpiece and WC-Co ball end mill and single and multi layer TiAlN coated ball end mill were utilized in the cutting tests. MQL device was used to spray botanical oil coolant. Result showed that TiAlN coated ball end mill were increased the cutting length than WC-Co ball end mill in the cutting speed[$245{\sim}320m/min$] about $2.3{\sim}5.7$ times for KP4 steels and about $2.5{\sim}4.3$ times far STD11 heat treated steels. The multi layer TiAlN coated ball end mill is good for KP4 steels than single layer coated.
This study was conducted to develop a functional feed additive for pig with spent $Lycium$$chinense$ Mill fruit. We investigated the optimum conditions for the extraction of polyphenol from spent $Lycium$$chinense$ Mill using methanol. Methanol concentration as a solvent for extraction, extraction time and the volume of solvent per a gram of solid (ground spent Lyceum chinense Mill) were selected as parameters. Three levels of parameters were configured according to Box Behnken experiment design, a fractional factorial design, and total 15 trials were employed. Total polyphenol concentration from each trial was used as response from experiment system and effects of parameters on total polyphenol extraction efficiency were determined using response surface model. As a result, all terms in analysis of variance, regression ($p$ = 0.001), linear ($p$ = 0.002), square ($p$ = 0.017) and interaction ($p$ = 0.047) was significant and adjusted determination coefficient ($R^2$) was 94.7%. Total polyphenol extraction efficiency was elevated along increased methanol content and decreased solvent to solid ratio. However extraction time did not affect the efficiency. This study provides a primary information for the optimum extraction conditions to maximize total polyphenol recovery from spent Lycium chinens Mill fruit and this result could be applied to re-use of argo-industrial by-products and to develop of functional feed additives in organic farming.

In the machining process of micros shape by using high-precision machining system and micro end-mill, it is important for machining characters of tools to be grasped in order to stably use tools of micro end-mill. In this study. we carried out an analytical experiment of basic machining features by using end-mill tools for the purpose of damage prevention and manufacture of high quality when the tools of micro end-mill are used. This experiment used a micro machining system with high precision and a variety of end-mill tools commercialized from tens to hundreds microns in diameter. To establish an optimal machining condition without tool damage, cutting force was analyzed according to the changes of tool diameter and cutting conditions such as cutting speed. feed rate, depth of cut. And an examination was performed for the shape and surface illumination of machining surface according to the changes of machining conditions. Based on these micro machining conditions, micro square pillar, cylinder shaft. thin wall with high aspect ratio, and micro 3-D structures such as micro gear and fan were manufactured.

The curved surface machined by plate end mill causes a excess non-cutting volume, in these cases ball end mill is used for the curved surfaces. This study is aimed to obtain the optimum cutting conditions of various cutting speed, table speed, tool diameter, radius of curvature roughness on the conditions of various cutting speed, tool diameter, radius of curvature when machining the curved surface using the ball end mill. After designing curve rates, obtaining NC data by CAD/CAM system through CC-Cartesian method and transferred the data through DNC system, we machined the specimens by the CNC machining center, The surface roughness of specimens was measured by surface roughness tester and CNC 3D coordinate measuring machine. The cutting condition were the same as follow velocity; 15, 20, 25 30m/min, feed rate;40, 60, 80, 100m/min and radius of curvature; 30,40,50,60mm, tool diameters; ø8, ø12, ø16, ø 20mm. Analizing the working results, we can acquire the optimum cutting condition of curved specimen at the cutting velocity of 20~25m/min and the feed rate of 80mm/min. As the same cutting condition the best surface roughness was showed at ø16mm of the tool diameter. But the tool diameter was smaller than ø8mm. we could improve for the surface roughness by controlling the cusp.
